3641  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to Get Bitcoins: A Fairly Comprehensive (Yet, To-The-Point) Guide on: June 28, 2015, 09:09:27 PM
How about getting paid for signature campaigns.

Are you good at writing alot of posts really fast? YES: Use a signature campaign

Please use "good" posts. You wont be taken with most signature campaigns when it looks like you post for getting paid and not because you post because you would post anyway. There are enough obvious spam posts on the forum already. Mostly repeating things over and over that was already said in the thread.  Roll Eyes

There are some lower paying campaigns that allow practically spam posts, but its not really the best for the forum.

Perhaps, but a few guys just want to earn money, nothing bad about that. Newbies want to try out bitcoin and they want to earn money.

Currently the sig campain pays the best, how to avoid spam posts? Make something that pays better, then people wont post here brainless Smiley

Thats not the case since unfortunately there are more publishers that want to get posters for advertising. So what happens is that the good posters collect at the good campaigns and all the rest goes to the remaining campaigns that pay less. Surely there will always be a campaign runner that will pay half or even less ro raise his profit. And there will always be too few posters. Which means it will always lead to spam.

Though thats not avoidable, thats correct.
3642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Show me your Bitcoin XT on: June 28, 2015, 09:00:22 PM
Some of the posts on this thread can be qualified as blunt fraud attempt. The poster is asking for a ban.

You mean this guy?

Also, thank you for selling your "BitcoinCore coins", leave them for those who truly understand Bitcoin, the blockchain and its implications
Let's see if you are still saying that when bitcoinCore coins are selling for $1 and bitcoinXT are selling for $1000.  Dumbass.

Being a notorious disinformation junkie with a stylized asshole for an avatar isn't against the rules. Undecided

There are enough uncertainties in the room so that nobody can say 100% surely that his fear cant become reality.

His naming though is a different thing.  Roll Eyes Though till now no one was banned for bad manners i believe.
3643  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Brainwallet.org verify doesnt work anymore? on: June 28, 2015, 08:55:59 PM
Just download multibit, you can easily sign and verify. Or electrum

Yes, its a fast thing, but sometimes you want someone to fast being able to verify a signature. And you dont want them to explain what to download, how to install and all. A website that can check a signature is a fine thing then.

If someone knows an alternative let me know.
3644  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Brainwallet.org verify doesnt work anymore? on: June 28, 2015, 08:54:27 PM
Are you sure? It's working for me. An example. FYI, it is automatic.

Yeah, I just tried it, but just like you nothing happens after I paste everything. Grin Anyway if you're still looking for online verifier try this http://www.coinig.com/

Didn't know about it. Thanks for the link!

This website had serious problems before with their random number generator[1]. I would certainly avoid this website.

1: www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/266hdb/psa_brainwalletorgs_random_button_uses_lowentropy/

Verifying signed messages does not expose your private keys and now the site is working good.

Might be that the first tab is working but the second tab isnt.

Yeah, might be correct that giving out that link might lead one or another newbie in using the websites wallet. Probably its better to find an alternative.

Can you try if it works when sharing with WhatsApp?

I don't seem to be able to install WhatsApp. Maybe because my tablet has no phone number? I'm not sure.

Edit: that's exactly the reason. An app which aims to give you free calls and text messages requires that you pay for a call and text messaging service? Seems kinda silly:

Quote
NO ADDITIONAL FEES: WhatsApp uses your phone’s Internet connection (4G/3G/2G/EDGE or Wi-Fi, as available) to message and call friends and family, so you don’t have to pay for every message or call.

They mean you can call by voip and the messages are sent over the phones internet.

They were completely free until they became so widely used that they decided to charge, i believe 0.12$ per year, after the first year. I wasnt charged anything yet, i dont know why. But since practically everyone has it installed it would make sense. Its pretty useful not having to use sms.

Maybe someone has whatsapp installed and can test it?
3646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Just-Dice.com : Invest in 1% House Edge Dice Game on: June 28, 2015, 08:34:26 PM
Wouldn't making investors prove they have offsite clams achieve the goals that you originally intended? Have investors sign address with specific code and monitor that address (or just check from time-to-time) to verify investor has said offsite clams.

Dont give dooglus strange ideas. I want to keep my 100x offsite. Wink

Though i think dooglus might have not included this because it either would mean manual work or coding work to proove this.
3647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Just-Dice.com : Invest in 1% House Edge Dice Game on: June 28, 2015, 08:24:12 PM
Sounds fine dooglus. I think you found a compromise that is good for all investors. And gamblers.

Glad to have you running just-dice. Tongue

Could you please fix the bitcoin hot wallet? Im waiting since 40 minutes for my bitcoin withdrawal, confirmed the link but it still states awaiting approval. Guess its the hotwallet.

Its no fun since iam in the middle of an escrow trade and the escrow is waiting. :/
3649  Economy / Services / Re: [ANN] SebastianJu - Free Legendary Escrow Service - Escrowed over 8150 BTC on: June 28, 2015, 05:57:22 PM
Avoid making stupid mistakes and don't forget to clear and/or change security question. Good luck!

-snip-

Never send to an address that was quoted by someone who claims i sent it to him. I will always send the escrow addresses directly to both parties. If youre unsure if the one writing you is really me then ask me to sign a message with one of the above posted addresses. That will prove that i still own this account.
 -snip-

It's better to sign the message which includes the Bitcoin address (and terms) at first. If you do that all time, users will be aware of it. Else, there is a chance of scam using your account.

Thanks Muhammed Zakir. I appreciate your suggestions, like the one that i should open a service thread. Wink

And yes... you really need to be careful and think about all the ways scammers might think. Only then you can avoid errors.

I dont have a security question and my password is very strong.

Signing the message with the bitcoin address with the first address in this thread sounds like a good idea. It would show im the same person as 2013. Ill change my initial escrow pm accordingly.

Thanks but this checker seems to be poorly written. The "too often to be seen" error of a form field with too view signs allowed i guess. Signature messages arent restricted to 250 signs as far as i know. But this script complains because i use more signs than that.

And other? Seems i need a replacement as suggestion for easy check of signatures.
3651  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcointalk Escrows [Updated Daily] Trade Safely! on: June 28, 2015, 05:25:37 PM
Muhammed, thanks for your kind suggestions to me. I followed through now and created an ANN-Thread. I can sign bitcoin addresses i posted back to 2013 and i decided to accept altcoins as long as its not too hard to escrow them.

I would be happy to be named one of the big five, in fact im doing escrow since a very long time now since i was very trusted, especially in the german speaking section, and was asked to provide this service back then.

My ANN-Thread is: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1102721

Thank you!
3652  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium Bitcoin Wallet on: June 28, 2015, 05:18:53 PM
there is the possibility ' to have push notifications when you receive bitcoin in your wallet ? i can't see this on settings...

That will be a nice feature but at present there is nothing like that in the wallet itself. You'll have to make use of a third party service for such notifications.

I am also interested in notifications in the app mycelium, which third party service can i use ?

Im not sure what you mean with third party services but i use http://bitcoinmonitor.net/ since some time. I let it trigger for 0 confirmations and let it send out an email to me. In thunderbird i sat a filter that plays a soundfile once an email reaches from them.

I dont know if that is of any use for you.
3653  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium Bitcoin Wallet on: June 28, 2015, 05:16:09 PM
Everytime he repeats sharing he gets the same problem. His version is 2.4.3.

I have 2.4.3 as well, and use sharing regularly. I got to the 'balance' tab, tap 'receive', scroll down, tap 'share bitcoin address', select 'gmail', type my email address, and click the triangle icon in the top right to send the email. It has never sent me the wrong address.

Is it possible you're being scammed?

Either way, I can't imagine you are liable for anything. You sent coins to the address you were given.

Thanks for testing it out. Im not sure what happened but he is surely not trying to scam. He claims he got the version from android store so it should not be hacked.

Can you try if it works when sharing with WhatsApp?
3654  Economy / Services / [ANN] SebastianJu - Legendary Escrow Service - Escrowed over 8150 BTC on: June 28, 2015, 05:12:17 PM
Attention: If someone contacts you from "my" email address, please ALWAYS check back with me by pm or send a clean email to me asking for confirmation. There are cases of scammers spoofing my email address. Please take care.

Reputation:

Im an escrow for the community since may 2013 now, im a member since june 2011. I already escrowed more than 8150BTC since may 2013. Some addresses where i was trusted with many users coins are:

1K2UFGCKyNQNx4h2m5ZRCaw9BWHTBcCZAA
1GFEJMUeeAWcsvhnTXmGyf5NdKaqfymbou
15azZjXZokui1cXkcP4XdryL9sXYi1rkqY
14UhVi5QWwvhA1QUNYp2uVapRoPaTyzoBJ
1AXSThtCPviP4zXmoxXZmFUd27HkPL9Xty
1Aq1Kt6LBPgXxzq86DPwoZHAM83iAKb9H3

These addresses alone held over 4800BTC, worth $120 each at that time, which were over half a million USD. I was honest and did not run with that money. I think thats a good indicator as to what character i have. Wink

Additionally i had hundred of seller buyer deals worth over 3350BTC as of 2015-06-27. (I counted only trades >1BTC and only the full bitcoins.). I can proof this amount to staff too. I wont post the addresses publicly since traders might not want to be public. But i can sign every Bitcoin Escrow Address and proof these amounts.

In total thats >8150BTC, which would be worth 1 Million USD. In fact it would be way more because the bitcoin price was way higher than 122USD for a long time. (122$ would only be the bitcoin price needed to reach 1 Mio USD value)

Im still the same owner of this account of course. I can proove it by signing a message to each of the addresses above. I will do so here for the first address 1K2UFGCKyNQNx4h2m5ZRCaw9BWHTBcCZAA, you can see i posted the address here on 2013-05-11: Link

I will encode the forum post message, where i posted that address, so that it cant be changed anymore.

Code:
SebastianJu Escrow 2015-06-27

Text Forumpost:

I created a new Sendingaddress for batch 2 at 1K2UFGCKyNQNx4h2m5ZRCaw9BWHTBcCZAA so that its easier to see how many bitcoins are collected for batch 2 already. I will reroute the transactions that go to the old address to the new address.

The new address is in a new wallet, that exists only for the group buy. So this wallet only has to be opened again when the batch 2 has to be bought.
Code:
1K2UFGCKyNQNx4h2m5ZRCaw9BWHTBcCZAA
Code:
G81O8B571ccIktniCqaFa7pTZVRqblX0gb0pQHlDrPy20x8gPUqRQyaToFJh/lPAmNOAOtyqOIooU1l9SLsabFM=

Fees:

Just ask me please. For tips see my donation jar in my profile page... (Left side of page... click on my username) or simply scan the QR-Code in my avatar picture. Wink

What can i escrow:

I can handle personal trades with me holding Bitcoins. I will hold altcoins when its not too hard to hold them in escrow.

I only take bitcointalk forum accounts into escrow whose risked amount are at least $50 per account. Otherwise the risk i can help avoiding and the amount of time i have to implement are in no sane proportion.

I might take other accounts or things into escrow when its possible to secure them.

I can be escrow for ICO's, IPO's and Groupbuys.

Ask me for other things here in thread or by pm.

How to start:

Contact me by pm or in this thread. Ill get back to you and ask you for the details or send you the escrow deal details directly, when i know the business partner.

Never send to an address that was quoted by someone who claims i sent it to him. I will always send the escrow addresses directly to both parties. If youre unsure if the one writing you is really me then ask me to sign a message with one of the above posted addresses. That will prove that i still own this account.

When answering PM's, please always use "Reply to all" so that all involved parties get informed.

In case signed messages has to be verified, then its the fastest to visit https://brainwallet.github.io/#verify and click on Bitcoin-QT. Then you can proove fast if the signature is correct and so you know that the address is controlled by the seller.

Why?

Lets give scammers zero chances... Wink
3655  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Bitcoin tax heaven in Germany? on: June 28, 2015, 04:58:16 PM
If I understood correctly, selling Bitcoins is complety free of tax when transaction is made by private person (and for private purpose only) and Bitcoins have been kept for more than year. Am I right?

Jep, you´re right

If selling Bitcoins would be my only one source of income, will I be exempt from paying income tax at all?

If you sell the Bitcoin after one year u dont have to pay income tax´es for Bitcoins.

But its necessary to say, that holding one year means holding one year..
So if u buy 1 BTC on 1. June 2015 and 1 BTC on 1. July 2015..  u must hold the first BTC until 01. June 2016..
If u sold 1 coin between the both dates.. You alwas sell the first u buy (First In First Out)..

For trades with Bitcoins under a year u got a exemption limit of 600 €, after passing the limit u must pay income taxes.

Sorry 4 bad english Tongue

Dont you think it does matter which coin you sell? I mean when you buy 1btc and let it lay around on a bitcoin address for one year, then it shouldnt matter that you buy and sell other bitcoins on other addresses, isnt it? You could prove that you didnt move the coin.

I know this rule applies to trading houses too. Some got rich with buying and selling houses that way.

Ok, withdraws work again. Im not sure what to think about that. Payments arent processed for so long. Ok, weekend, but still. There should be alot of staff around.

I once had a swap payment in two batches. A small one and later the rest. I dont know what triggered that.
3657  Economy / Service Discussion / Brainwallet.org verify doesnt work anymore? on: June 28, 2015, 04:47:29 PM
Am i doing something wrong or did https://brainwallet.org/#verify stop working? Im not sure if there were buttons to start the verification or if it started automatically but nothing happens anymore. Enter doesnt work too. I tried Firefox and Chrome and its the same on both.

Is it broken? Can someone suggest an alternative link?

I used his currency exchange service and all went fine!
3659  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium Bitcoin Wallet on: June 27, 2015, 08:16:07 PM
I think the wallet has a serious bug. A user who wanted to use my service sent me an address from his mycelium. After i sent he claimed nothing reached. I checked my target address and it was the one he gave me. I asked him if he gave me a wrong one. He checked and it was a different one.

After trying out things a bit he found that when he is copying his address and sending me through Whatsapp then it sends fine, but when he goes on sharing his address then mycelium is sending a random? other address that doesnt seem to belong to the wallet.

So i sent 30€ to a dead address now.

Everytime he repeats sharing he gets the same problem. His version is 2.4.3.

So is anyone accountable for errors like that or is that simply bad luck when you use it?

What happened? Is the code checked so that its no inbuilt scam? The user claims he downloaded the version from google appstore.
3660  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [OFFICIAL]Bitfinex.com first Bitcoin P2P lending platform for leverage trading on: June 27, 2015, 07:14:29 PM
Hot Wallet seems to be empty too. Not even small withdraws happen. Dont tell me... *sigh*

I really cant get another "hack". Maybe i saw this happen too often so that i think about these things so fast.

I tried to get them to stop a withdraw now, since i confirmed it and then i was told that its the wrong address. Maybe luck in bad luck though i doubt they will cancel it before the refill their hot wallet.
