just ordered some antminers 5 set up with out a problem and the last one i cant connect to its ip and its network port does not light up, ive tried resetting it and resetting the power supply, it seems to turn on and light up besides that. any help would be good.
Use advanced IP scanner and scan your network for it's IP. Take it from there ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Is that a command line function or how do i use advanced IP scanner? im a bit out of my league here, i had just been typing in the ip address listed on the machine. http://www.advanced-ip-scanner.com/![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

So hey, once i have an antminer set up, running , and adjusted,.... how long can i expect it to function properly before i have to re-tweak it? ...1hr? 1day? 1week? 1 month? ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif) id appreciate an inbox, would make it easier to find your reply,... thanx ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) And your question is? When can you overclock? If that is the question then whenever you want. NOPE... by retweak i did not mean overclock... if i leave the house and come back two weeks later.. will things still be running smoothly? Bro with an Antminer you CANNOT go wrong. Unless you do it intentionally.

Apologies if this has been answered before. Is there another way to add some cooling to the ants without reversing the blades (to point outwards).
Has anyone experimented with adding fans to the PCB side. Does it help at all? Summer is coming, so any degree saved is good. I do have a box fan pointed at it (a feet away from the stock fan). Does adding a clip fan from top help dissipate some heat?
Thanks
Add another fan blowing the heat out on the other side. Believe me it works!

I respect bitmain, they had built their reputation in the last year, but please keep an eye on me and dragon 1T miner, the factory producing dragon 1T is just as reputable as antminer in china Be competitive. Offer something that Bitmain can't. Then you might have me as your customer. Once again I mean no disrespect.

The true question of course is: How much does Mark Karpeles weigh?
I'd put money on 220. Kilos or Pounds? It does matter ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

The blockchain is a good idea when it comes to voting but heres a question:
Would you like the world to know what you are voting on? Because for this to happen then obviously instead of a BTC address you would need to have real citizens IDs.
So would it work?
This is a valid point. Is there a way to verify people only vote once without revealing their identity? Actually you can more or less. Replace the citizen's ID with a member ID. For this to work then it would have to be regulated. Do you trust regulations? I can probably write such an app if I had something to gain from it, but I don't. I don't trust poly-tics!

"Is antminer make new product more than 180gh ?" Don't you thunk 180gh is pretty much?
Once you start mining then you quickly come to realize that it's never enough..... No... I did with black erupter 30 that run 33-36 depend on temperature (its mean 10-20% higher) and never below 29 (-3%). Antminer 180 GH is randomly change speed from 160-180 (in specification) and yes it can do 180+ (some times 190), so it means it can run only 5% from its name but sometimes do 160 (-10%). What I mean is when you pay it for the first time, you will imagine how much you will get. But in reality, when the product comes everything will be different. Like my experience up there. Diff will be harder and with many new competitor (miner) you got less BTC. So when the product arrive at my house, almost 3 weeks, the diff has changes 2 times. 1. Im hoping Antminer 180 would be 6 times from BE 30, and its wrong since Antminer 180 have about 175 in avg while the BE 30 have about 33 in avg. So it will mine only 5.3 times from BE 30 not six times as I imagine. 2. Diff change 2 times. I buy BE 30 first than Antminer 180. The first time I use BE 30 I gate 0.004-0.0045 per 24 hours. When Antminer arive I only get 0.018-0.02 per 24 hours. Yes it drops to 4-4.4 times. Im not saying Antminer 180 is bad product. Antminer 180 is a great product, the less avg than it supposed been backed by its good software and automatic works. I loved to see more GH (or TH) product from Antminer... Sorry Im bad in english >.< Edit : 1TH antminer is coming @_@ https://www.bitmaintech.com/productDetail.htm?pid=00020140314135446510cxXNeYAy06E5Now Im confusing to buy it or 2TH blackarrow since BA has more price/performance... Who do you trust? BlackArrow or Bitmain that has proven themselves?

I know I will get bashed and laughed at for this but I need to ask: What is a change address?
Sorry, I don't have much BTC due to the fact that I spend more on miners than I produce (yes I am addicted) so I don't freak out like all of you in case it is stolen.
Bitcoins do not exist, at all. (mind blown, right?) Instead, they exist as outputs from previous transactions, just a mark on a ledger. If I make a cold wallet and I send 5 BTC, I will have a cold wallet with one output worth 5 bitcoin. Now, if I want to donate 1 bitcoin from cold storage I must destroy the entire 5 BTC output by using it as an input for a new transaction. Therefore, a transaction would need to have two outputs (or the change, every last bit of it, is recycled and given to the miners! The sum of the outputs of a transaction, minus the sum of the inputs is equal to the transaction fee paid. Don't play with paper wallets and rawtx!) One could probably divert the change right back to the same BTC address, but the coins are not the same, the original 5.0BTC is gone forever. Reusing addresses isn't really a good idea, so by default most wallets make a new bitcoin address for change and send it there. If you had a watchlist of addresses for a total, it would look as if some coins outright disappeared, when you really aren't just looking in the right "pocket" for your money. Thanks brother ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Seriously, try to learn a little linux.
It's dead easy.
Just go to Ubuntu.com
I promise you, in a few hours after trying it, you'll be saying
"WTF is this Windows shit"
~BCX~
I'm shocked ! I figured you for a slackware groupie. Ubuntu or Linux Mint is easiest for newbies. Yes I'm a fan of Slackware and actually started with SLS which was pre-slack when I was in grade school. ~BCX~ Tails! It has everything you need including TOR! And it can be portable ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Overpriced
Compared to what? I think that it will be verry difficult to have ROI with this price Well last jump on difficulty was 11% at that ratio is a good deal Juan speak the truth. Did you order all the S2 and that's why their all sold out? Be honest.
