3641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Silk Network: Silk(SLK), DarkSilk(DSLK) and Weaver on: September 26, 2016, 12:12:29 PM
Unlike you I had no more stake rewards since then. They stopped as soon as I got that message: I was getting at least one stake reward per hour.
That's strange.

That's my silk.conf file, maybe that will help

Thanks ttoroie but I does not help. Still getting no connections when updating the silk.conf file and even by adding nodes manually the situation does not change.
It seems I have to wait for the wallet update.

Concerning the "WARNING: Checkpoint is too old. Wait for the blockchain to download, or notify developers of the issue" message.

Everyone can ignore this message as it causes no issues to functionality of the wallet.

This will be gone in the upcoming release of Silk(SLK) version 1.0.1.0

Spencer Lievens has just committed a pull request - https://github.com/SilkNetwork/Silk-Core/pull/29

Which fixes this issue - https://github.com/SilkNetwork/Silk-Core/issues/28

Just seen that message,
but you're right - we can ignore it since my wallet is staking OK regardless

Unlike you I had no more stake rewards since then. They stopped as soon as I got that message: I was getting at least one stake reward per hour.

First issue with SILK wallet on Win 64 bit

In the overview it says
WARNING: Checkpoint is too old. Wait for Blockchain to dowload, or notify developers of the issue.

I waited with no luck so here am I asking for guidance over the issue.

I won my bet therefore I'm good for today.  Grin
Just for fun I am going to guess the correct score of tonight's game between
Fiorentina - AC Milan 2 - 1

If you're going to bet on this game I'd think the best pick would be both teams to score.

3645  Economy / Speculation / Re: why should anyone invest in btc right now? on: September 25, 2016, 12:46:38 PM
Anyone who is smart enough to understand how bitcoin works should invest according to his/her own possibilities. This train has a bit more space but all slots are filling rather soon.

The first three games of the Italian Serie A for this coming 6th week are very promising in terms of betting; odds are also good on most of the sports book. Following some picks of yours I'll put my 0.05 on this parlay
Palermo - Juventus Juventus
Napoli - Chievo Napoli
Torino - Roma both teams to score

Good! Since Juventus and Napoli won their respective games I simply bet again on Torino Roma to have a guaranteed 100% win. It's always good to split the games into different days so that, if we are lucky, we can re-adjust our bet to have a sure win

I confirm you should all split your coins if you want to get a good amount of stake rewards. Before splitting I was lucky to get one or two a day. Now I am getting them more regularly.
3648  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Silk Network: Silk(SLK), DarkSilk(DSLK) and Weaver on: September 24, 2016, 10:15:18 AM
Sweet.
I missed the coin splitting to enhance staking but I did it now.

Things are moving rather fast now.

If you find a block, 99% of the 25BTC + transaction fees get generated directly at your bitcoin address!

hey -ck! you might just want to update the OP. The halving came so the reward should be changed to 12.5BTC per block.
Keep up your good job

If you get more chinese dmd supporters onboard the price can get much higher. They move the price up, that's fact.

By the way, I use peerblock and you would be surprised by the IP blocked that I find by leaving my wallet open.

I've noticed Silk wallet for Win64 has a fixed CPU usage: always 25%
It's good it does not consume too much RAM (less than 60MB), but CPU usage is a bit high.

Anybody can help? Anybody has a different experience?

Try deleting your peers.dat and restarting your wallet.

i have with the x64 client 2-9% with an i5 , u can set the network graph slider from 30min to 1day, this also will reduce CPU usage

Thank you guys, now CPU usage is at a normal level.
My last doubt is about having to add nodes manually every time I restart the wallet. It does not find them on its own.
I added silk.conf file but it did not help.
3657  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-09-21] State Street and PeerNova Trial New Blockchain Prototype on: September 22, 2016, 06:35:29 AM
They are trying so hard to find a "blockchain" solution that would fit their needs. How long before they will eventual stop and give up?
They could really make a better use of those money.

Quote
PeerNova and State Street have been trialing a blockchain-enabled platform for the tracking and monitoring the flow of funds. The two partners anticipate completing all the relevant milestones by October 2016 and will eventually move forward to a pilot phase right after the trial, Gangesh Ganesan, CTO and co-founder of PeerNova told Bitcoin Magazine.

3658  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-09-22] Wirex Combines With Shapeshift to Bring Altcoins To Debit Cards on: September 22, 2016, 06:28:05 AM
Maybe it's time to try a Wirex Card. These guys are really bringing the crypto world out in the "wild" real one.
They have both virtual and plastic cards that can be used either by verified or unverified users.

I might try the virtual unverified for the moment

Bologna - Sampdoria Both teams to score
Atalanta - Palermo Atalanta wins
Chievo - Sassuolo Draw or Away
Empoli - Inter Inter wins
Genua - Napoli Napoli wins
