3641  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Strategies changes with time on: August 27, 2021, 09:36:30 PM
Trading market didn't wait for anything, it has own sort of capability we can say. As there are a lot of trading strategies which people are following and trading on their basis, but whenever the market changes they use and change their strategies as it is a step towards achievement and starting with a new involvement.
Just choose the best strategy that really works in your end as not all are truly effective depending on the market situation. That is why we have to make our own because those strategies that have been used by others may not work on us. But of course, there is time to retain those strategies if they are still effective. Maybe we could just change some but it doesn't mean that we have to change it all as we know the market moves up and down.
3642  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: South African Man Loses $900,000 Worth Of BTC After Accidentally Deleting Keys on: August 27, 2021, 03:14:13 PM
https://www.newsbtc.com/news/bitcoin/man-loses-900000-worth-of-bitcoin/

I think if he offers an NSA grade data recovery outfit a couple of btc, that they'd recover it for him.
But then how can you trust that they won't say they couldn't do it went they actually did.
Well, that trust broke him instantly. I'm not sure if he is not totally aware of the possible hacks but he just let someone do it in front of him because of such trust thing that he endures to someone who couldn't be trusted. I can't imagine losing it but to say, it was really happening and could happen to anyone in the future.

This actually gives a lesson, not only for him but also for everyone who keeps their keys/password on the laptop/PC. If it needs some repairs, it was best to do it ourselves or to rely on a close and trusted friend of yours, that was guaranteed safe, I think.
3643  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling control on: August 27, 2021, 11:37:48 AM
Control or discipline, that's very important in gambling. You know how to control yourself when you are winning and you are losing, both situations, you have to be discipline. The outcome should be, when you are winning you should stop having a profit, if you are losing, you stop not losing more than you allocate in that certain gambling session.
3644  Other / Off-topic / Re: Pacquiao vs Ugas rematch on: August 27, 2021, 11:03:02 AM
People were saying that Manny should retire because of his loss against Ugas, but he still insist to fight and that's good for boxing. As a champion, I have high respect for Ugas because he gives the legend a chance to fight him again, he is humble in a victory that's why he was blessed.

I'm afraid if Manny would win this, there might be a 3rd fight to end this rivalry.
3645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: August 27, 2021, 10:18:51 AM

We already read that the league lost 70 Million with the bubble that they did last year. In the end, I believe that the Pangilinans and the Cojuangco's will not leave the league. They're businessmen and losses in a business is already normal for them. They are thinking long term and they believe that the league will recover once the pandemic has ended.

That's for sure, they'll keep the business as these two are the biggest businessman in the Philippines. They can advertise their product through the PBA, so it's stupid to stop it that they had already built through decades, it's not good for their reputation.  They can always minimize the expenses if they want to just to ensure the league will continue to run and that includes reducing the salary of the players.
3646  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which timeframe do you use for day trading? on: August 27, 2021, 09:08:06 AM
Personally, I'd check 1 min, 5mins, and sometimes I check a 1-hour timeframe in order for me to finalize my decision. For short-term trader this actually it works but if you only have a few time to do trading, it was best to extend the timeframe like 1 day or a week.

Well, that gonna be necessary to check all the timeframe if you have enough time to do it. Some basis of our analysis might not just be in a small timeframe but we could also get an idea of the behavior to that particular coin when we do it. That is really time-consuming but I believe it has a market advantage.
3647  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Tesla going to accept BTC again soon? on: August 27, 2021, 04:48:07 AM
At the B-word event, and on other occasions, Elon said Tesla was going to accept BTC again when its mining would have become "greener" (at least 50% of green energy usage).

That was another lie made by Elon Musk. It was the time to think that Elon Musk is here in crypto just to show who really he is. Several times that he said that, too many times making tweets for accepting Bitcoin but too unfortunate it all just a lie and I think, there is nothing left a trust for him. Maybe he is good outside crypto but certainly not in here.

"Mining become greener" that probably he is not in mining, as he never knows the situation. Maybe it was best to talk straight that he waits for the price of Bitcoin to reach $100k and sell his Bitcoin, that might be real.
3648  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Notice your emotion on: August 26, 2021, 11:43:08 PM

Emotions do play an important role in trading and investing. Fluctuating prices affect psychology and I think if we don't have a good trading and investment plan, we can panic and sell our tokens at low prices.
But if we have a good trading plan and invest for the long term, I think we will get profit as long as we hold the tokens.
Maybe it was "emotions do NOT play an important role", I think that was how we picture emotions in crypto. This is really the cause of failure as this could really have a huge influence on our mindset and also on our plan.

Emotions lead us to nowhere, that really this meant and if we have this uncontrollable feeling, I'm doubted if we are able to survive in here knowing that this is the biggest enemy of us. Too sad to think but this was common to everyone and it was a challenge on how to control this and win against our negative emotions.
3649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anderson Silva vs Tito Ortiz on September 11 on: August 26, 2021, 11:09:06 PM
Actually, these two guys are just making fun and money. Both of them have an impressive MMA record but that was different when it comes to boxing so it will probably not really be a good fight to see. This will just remind me of McGregor vs Mayweather's fight, that is probably more than that. Maybe if they'll get into the MMA ring, that it looks interesting but this new fun game they've made, I'm not sure how it drags attention and betting interest.
3650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Esport Gambling with Crypto. on: August 26, 2021, 10:46:12 PM
-snip-
Exactly, Esports betting with the crypto (especially Bitcoin) has been growing these days.
Actually, we can find out some esports gambling on several sites.
Isn't Sportsbet.io and if it's not mistaken stake.com also provides the Esport gambling?
Young people are giving huge interest in esports that is why we can see its rapid growth. This probably becomes sustaining knowing that it has grown so fast and for many years that has been supported by some betting sites. Esports betting will surely gain more gamblers as in the situation that most of us are stayed at home and looking for something that we can enjoy. Because if you are fun in sports, that probably be it encourages you to try this one.
3651  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can I recommend a friend to buy Bitcoin now? on: August 26, 2021, 03:51:32 PM
They will certainly blame you if you're the one who's been encouraging them to invest.

would definitely feel bad for giving recommendations that didn't live up to their expectations lol. better to just educate the good and bad investing in bitcoin. and ask or explain more about of his investment plan for long term or short term . and provide a clear explanation of bitcoin price movements and volatility in market price.

And yet, they have some options either to take the advice or just to forget it. In fact, a lot of people become scam victims due to some colorful and promising words used by the scammer and I think it was more reliable when it comes from a friend of yours than strangers. If I have been told and educate about Bitcoin before, maybe I invested in Bitcoin early but unfortunately, none of my friends know about this so it happens that I'll be the one to recommend and educate them.

Anyways, so really happens in real life, doubtful minds will remain doubtful no matter what you do, no matter how many proofs you showed to them, they keep ignoring.
3652  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Things to know before trading. on: August 26, 2021, 03:19:55 PM
It is not easy to become a trader, that is the number one thing that everyone should realize, we are talking about a very tough business and you would really need to end up being online almost every day at all times and get ready for it at all times as well, like even when you are sleeping, you should leave the situation in a way that you will not lose much until you wake up, and then when you wake up every day is a big stress because you are a trader and there are things you can't do, like price going down is not something you can prevent, but you can prevent losing too much money with those kinds of things.

So, I would say that knowing that traders job is a hard one and not an easy one and you may end up earning money but also end up losing a lot time to time, all that stress and anxiety is number one thing. If you are ready for that, then you can start, but believe me you may quit half way because of all the stress.
That was actually our personal choice, many did their best to become a good trader while some just did a short stay and leave trading after they realize that it was not an easy life to become a trader, facing on the computer everyday, spending most of the time on it just for the sake of money. That it feels no happiness but more on stress.

Knowing ourselves is the very first thing to do, we can't tell that we also succeed because someone did it, but possibly it will not happen to us. But mostly, we did some trials just to evaluate ourselves and this was commonly happening to newbies.
3653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My friend got arrested in a p2p scam on: August 26, 2021, 02:05:42 PM
The problem is that the use and any Bitcoin transactions are illegal. Maybe your friend was just caught with the authorities and that leads to an arrest for the said violation not because it was a P2P scam. Too sad but first we have to look into some instances that it will possibly be going to happen if we are not careful on this. That is very important to have some background check on the person we talk to online especially when it was new and most especially when it was illegal in our place. That is something we need to be aware of and this will happen to anyone, even at you OP. Well, I hope not.
3654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The regulation of the cryptocurrency market will become more serious on: August 26, 2021, 01:31:16 PM
https://www.sec.gov/news/public-statement/gensler-aspen-security-forum-2021-08-03
The hyperlink is SEC Chairman Gary Gensler's speech at Aspen Security Forum on August 3.
There are two sentences are worthy of our alert.
"In my view, the legislative priority should center on crypto trading, lending, and DeFi platforms”
"For those who want to encourage innovations in crypto, I’d like to note that financial innovations throughout history don’t long thrive outside of our public policy frameworks.”
Please stay awake. The regulation of the cryptocurrency market will become more and more serious. How do you interpret the  sentences?
Personally, not really, that was my observation. Maybe something could be serious sooner as the interest of the community rises which tends for the government to regulate crypto transactions that are usually been a tool for some illegal activities but for now, I'd never seen it.

Well, I do understand their intentions but we can't deny is that some corrupt leaders will take advantage of the situation when it happens that the government was already in control of crypto. I was afraid that also but if they are just fair to us and they don't make hges changes on the market, I'll give them the support.
3655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Staking Coins a Good Idea? on: August 25, 2021, 11:53:04 PM
You can actually gain a small profit from staking but at least there is something than nothing. This is commonly a strategy used by many holders and they can really justify how it works. Just only a need to choose potential coins that could stay in the market for long, most of the holders are using altcoins which I think was a good idea. But just to remind the risk in this strategy as we are not in full control of our fund since we handed it over to the exchanger and take the responsibility, and whatever happens to them, you will lose them all.
3656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Am I wrong? on: August 25, 2021, 11:20:24 PM
Is it possible that crypto will become stable when mass adoption occurs? I'm not saying stable like USDT I'm saying stability/bottom minus huge or massive dumps that we are all used to when bear market strikes, I know everyone can't be a holder but if crypto eventually achieve its dream of means of payment there will be more stability in crypto market, am I wrong?
Yes, even there is a huge market adoption the volatility of the market will never change. The market price will move just like a roller coaster and no matter what we do, adoption or whatever it is can't still make a change to it, unless if the market becomes centralized. As long as we are in the state of being decentralized, this will remain unstable.

I don't think there is a need to be worried about being volatile and besides, this gives more interest to the people hoping that they can double their investment at no certain time. A lot of people had come into crypto not only thinking about profit but also the benefits they could get from them, no tax, anonymity, less hassle to transfer funds, and also making online payments.
3657  Economy / Speculation / Re: Here’s what traders expect now that Bitcoin price rallied back to $50K on: August 25, 2021, 03:58:53 PM
The ATH level should be the next immediate target. From what I have seen, there were no major resistance levels, from the journey from 29K to 50K. I believe that the next one is not going to appear before $62,000, which is the current ATH level. I can observe a lot of whales rushing in to purchase, in anticipation of the next major bull rally. The correction is now over and the stabilization phase is going to last for a couple of months or so. And this period will provide the last opportunity to accumulate BTC for five-digit prices.
And then we think that the next rally will be in the 6 digits? That seems too overhyped, I think. But what I guess base on the current sentiment, we had reached $62k and might double it next ATH will probably be more than $100k.

Well, for now, I was expected for a short rally and then it drops again before we end this year. But I'd never think that we experience a bear market again this year, only just short rollbacks. Thus, if we still have money to invest, we never have to hesitate by doing it now while we still have the chance to buy at a cheaper price, otherwise, we forever miss this opportunity.
3658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: August 24, 2021, 09:18:24 PM

We can speculate but not able to make a final decision.

There's a reason to speculate because even Inoue himself announced that he wants to accept the challenge and fight Casimero this year. It's gonna be the biggest fight in the bantam weight division and the trash talk will be over once the fight is signed, so let's wait for that.

No, the announcement of Inoue was on the fight between Casimero, there's also speculation regarding the Inoue vs Donaire 2 because people thought that it's the reason why the fight is canceled.

Actually, Casimero looks to be the victim here as Inoue and Donaire both cancelled their fights against Casimero and I don't think it's because of his trash talk or disrespect because they already know Casimero's antics before they agree to fight him.
3659  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: August 24, 2021, 08:56:55 PM
More and more Filipino players are going to B-League already and this is kinda alarming especially for the PBA itself. After the season, we might see another players going there again or those young players might try and play in Japan. Well as for Ray Parks, I think that he will play good there.
Probably the reason for that is that PBA must not be that profitable to get in compared to B League. It's alarming but I feel like the popularity of PBA slumped this year. BRP Jr. Is definitely going to improve their as you've said, Nagoya is a strong team and hopefully he can learn more during his stay there.

Money is the big factor why PBA stars are accepting contracts from outside league. Just imagine how many folds the contract compared to how much money they can get playing in this league.

Those names that being dragged before Ravena and Parks, I remember Romeo and Abueva, they both receive a huge amount of contract offers before with B-league scouts,

Ravena Bro and Parks need to impress the Japanese teams if they wanted to continue their journey to Japan B-League,
they are all good players and giving them quality time it won't be hard for them to represent our county and give
the glory to where they first played this game.

They have their agent who knows for sure what to do to continue to contract, and they believe that the Filipino talent will last in the B league. Thirdy Ravena is still playing with the B league now, and I guess he already played are year or more and his salary is higher compared to what the PBA is paying.

So this is what's gonna happen.. even if a PBA player will play 3 years in the PBA, I think the income they will get if they play in the B league for 1 year is still bigger, I'm not sure with this, it's only based on what I read.

That's what I read also, Thirdy Ravena is receiving a salary like the salary of June Mar Fajardo, imagine, for a rookie to receive like the salary of the PBA superstar in the Philippines, of course, anyone would be attracted with that and they will choose the B League to be their home because of a good opportunity that they offer to the Filipino imports.
3660  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you be able to take an additional work if required? on: August 24, 2021, 02:53:06 PM
For the current situation of the world? I wouldn't mind to take multiple jobs right now as my current workplace is having skeletal work force due to Covid-19 and while I cannot rely my job to earn decent amount well I will take what opportunity will come to me as long as that one is not illegal. I'm sure other has the same mindset to since its really hard to get a good pay cuts now so we can expect that many people are now doing multiple jobs just to provide food to their family.
Me too, I don't have a lot of places to go to and I can adapt from a work from home set up given that the company provides me with enough money for the time I spend on them and at the same time they also subsidize the equipments needed for work. Maybe not another full time job but maybe another side hustle can work
With limited free time had left due to long hours in the office job or even the work at home can still make some side hustle if we are really in greed of money. Maybe some people could make it due to financial needs and sometimes they work 24 hours, I can't really imagine that but a few people did this.

But I'm not sure seeing good results from that, I mean, it was not the wisest thing to do as it was likely we are killing ourselves due to lack of rest. Maybe 2-3 jobs, with still have a few hours to relax that seems okay.
