Nitrogen- Why don't you force BTCWagering to make at least 7 plays a week. He should forfeit instead of you guys holding my money hostage. He was posting at least one play a day until he started losing. Now BTCWagering wants to cancel the contest.
You've both asked for some extra rules to be enforced since this thing started; none of which was mentioned at the start of the contest. That being said, we agree that there's proabably 3-4 rules that could be agreed upon and formed which would make the contest a little smoother for both parties. If you're both open to it, we don't mind helping the discussion around forming some new rules for the contest. |

The contest is fully explained in great detail, with a lot of common questions and answers  One key point is that all of the challenges are for the 2014 World Cup games. (If you look beside each letter on the promotion page, there are different ways to collect each of the letters, all of which involve the 2014 World Cup matches). The world cup starts on June 12th in Brazil, but the matches are available to be wagered on right now and any betslips you create now on those matches will count towards the contest. What's the min wager to qualify? Like can I just make a .001 btc and qualify?

Interesting contest. I have a serious question about totals. Will the limits be only .5 BTC on World Cup totals?
My main issue with Nitrogen is your very low limits. Now, before you start talking "data" and all that, will I be able to bet more than 2-3 BTC on Over/Unders for the WC?

We've offered odds on the major races (Kentucky Derby, Preakness), we'll be adding Belmont as well when closer to the race. We are still considering a racebook format for more consistent offerings for the less popular races, but don't have it yet! Really nice looking website, I always like to bet on things.

Good to see Nitro stepping up to the plate, but it goes without saying that there have to be very exact terms set so that Nitro can mediate this. As you can see they are short on details. For example, how are the final odds verified? We currently shop at our 3 partner books, but with the exception of Nitro there is no such thing as a linkable betslip.
If you guys wanted to do all the plays from a fresh account with us, we would be willing to post updated ROI's throughout the contest for the account. You could do them for 0.001 as your smallest unit and scale from there so that you're not putting up much, but still getting guaranteed stats. (Also, FYI we offered the kings at +147 all day, but appreciate you going elsewhere for that one! ) |

Why not go all the way and have a Betfair type concept for Bitcoin - peer to peer betting?
Especially on the Football (soccer) Betfair is near 1% or less over-round (ie £101 - to win £100) you do have to factor in 5% commission but some money do have to go to the operators to provide the service.

I personally am not familiar with betfair. So I'm unable to make a comment. I'll look into it. We launched the basic version of our betting exchange a few weeks ago. We are taking member input into account as we continue to add features and sports/leagues. Those familiar with betfair will be right at home. Exchanges are cool because you can't beat the odds and you there are no limits imposed by the house. Obviously these exchanges benefit from liquidity, which is what we are working on now! While bet fair has 5% commission, we are offering 2% for the time being. Let us know what you think! |
