It does seem pretty buoyant but I expect most new arrivals will be going to places with a more instant message style. Reddit is a truly unbearable format and I'm amazed it's as popular as it still is.
So many factors in play especially when we talk about the forum software. I know am just roughly three years old here but what a wait it has been and still no promise that the new forum software will probably be rolled out in the next few weeks  Grin
This current forum software especially the setting bitcointalk uses looks old school. I wouldn't be surprised if some new users preferred the likes of Reddit to it.

This forum is also not mobile device friendly as compared to the likes of Reddit (they even have mobile apps) that you can access on the go. You have to use a desktop or Laptop in order to enjoy this forum. We all know this generation is one of smartphones. Very few people want to deal with bulky computer devices  Cheesy
3662  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammers using Profile of High rank members to join social campaign of UNIFINITY on: June 27, 2020, 10:04:58 PM
The only way can do about this. Is just report those address and post as a warning. I do hope those address once reported as scam or alleged used for scam should be lock by ethereum network but this is far from reality to happen soon or never will due to the nature of blockchain.
It's something hard to pull off and not really effective because the address is brand new (no transactions to trace if it was marked as a scammer's address), and the scammer can also easily generate another address using HD wallets like Metamask or Myetherwallet when applying for another campaign using the same usernames

Seems scammer is back with new website
Yeah, they are officially back. Looks like the COVID-19 situation hit them real hard.
Another profile just posted the same website.

My picks for this week's Majestic 7:

Jimenez
Ings
Auba
C. Wilson
Lewin
Kane
Salah
In form Jimenez didn't score this time round, sorry mate. I think I also picked him  Grin

any comments about the fa cup games tomorrow? odds are a bit high for the top teams, i mean, Gunners ML @2.36 and Chelsea ML @2.35...sounds like free money to me, especially Chelsea vs. Leicester Fluke  Tongue
Man, Arsenal is so unreliable, I don't even bother thinking about betting their matches. As for Chelsea, they seem to have a found their winning mentality back after the break while Leicester hasn't shown any signs of improvement from the poor form they had before the break. Vardy is not delivering as he should, so I would go for Chelsea on that one.
3665  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: June 26, 2020, 11:52:39 PM
I was also sure about Sevilla but right now as match is going on look like Sevilla is going to lost few points hopefully they will do one goal and have end with draw Valladolid is doing good right now and they are also capable of doing upset as well  70 minutes gone. Sad
What did I say a few days back? Two more points dropped once more. Anybody seeing how the story of Julen Lopetegui and Seville is gonna end?
Sevilla have really dropped points since the resumption of the league. They have acquired only 6 points from a possible 12 (1 win and 3 draws). It doesn't seem to be good for their chances of holding onto that 3rd Champion's League spot.  Julen Lopetegui could be in trouble again soon over poor team performance.

Sevilla has shown a lot of unreliability after the restart of the League. Don't waste your money and bets on them
3666  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cryptoamity.ltd is a Scam or Real? Any way to withdraw BTC from it? on: June 26, 2020, 10:56:12 PM
Sorry my brother. You were definitely scammed. Bitcoin addresses don't need to be "verified" in order to receive payment.

I sold a domain to a client. He said he has the only payment method and he can only pay in cryptoamity.ltd wallet.
so I received money from him about $1k BTC. Everything was good till then.

After that, i contacted the support of Crypto Amity to withdraw funds to blockchain wallet. They said you need to verify the external wallet address. And for verification, you need to send 0.02 BTC  from the external wallet to the crypto Amity exchange wallet. I did that not once but 3 times and the total amount was 0.064 BTC.
This is an old scam trick. "Pay a certain fee so that we can verify your address or Pay a certain fee/make a deposit to activate a withdrawal"

The person whom you were selling the domain to, is he in the forum.
3667  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cryptotalk Future on: June 26, 2020, 10:11:48 PM
Even bitcoin.com closed their forums because of low activity.
Good riddance if they did. By the way before getting to know about bitcointalk, I first registered to that forum thinking it was the main bitcoin forum due to the domain. I would later discover that those chaps had no good intention at all when they kept spamming my email trying to shill BCH claiming it was the real Bitcoin  Grin
3668  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cryptotalk Future on: June 25, 2020, 11:22:39 PM
Is that site promoted by wearing signatures alone? Or are there other ways for the site to promote?
It was only through wearing signatures in bitcointalk plus posting in their forum to earn some sats. So the traffic you are probably looking at which was high at the beginning was due to spammers and fake accounts. Not organic traffic.

If the signature campaign earns all that many visits, I do not expect that they will stop..
Resources like money will limit them. Don't you see they have already started planning to pay out in shit tokens?
3669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: June 23, 2020, 11:56:50 PM
Yup, definitely. A great argument there, but personally I do not think it could have been avoided by the UEFA.
National football associations chose whether football will continue or not, but it definitely puts some teams in a big disadvantage.

PSG will play some friendlies to prepare themselves for sure, but they will lack that match fitness and game sharpness.

Premier league/La liga teams will probably have the best match fitness going into the Champions League games.
Think of it also from this angle.
Clubs from the Premier League/La liga may be faced with problems like fatigue and injuries due to very intense match schedules as compared to the situation before the break. On the contrary, teams like PSG might actually have an advantage since their player might be fresh with a few friendly matches to keep them fit.
3670  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Movie about SATOSHI Nakamoto on: June 23, 2020, 11:30:51 PM
Why a produce/release movie about "Satoshi Nakamoto", with a story that doesn't have anything of the real events surrounding Satoshi Nakamoto, or the development of Bitcoin?

Tin-foil hats on. The movie is a socio-political attack to confuse people. The A-game Carlton Banks was talking about.
Whenever I watch movies/series  and the word Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies pops up most recent ones being The Blacklist, Queen of the South etc . They always like never talk anything good about it. It's always about Money Laundering, drugs, terrorism, hacking and heists.

You will never see them showing a business accepting BTC payments, Bitcoin's trading benefits, Bitcoin ATMS or bitcoin millionaire  Grin etc. Sometimes I think some of these movies are produced to make it look like cryptocurrencies are something so evil and the public should never have any interest in them.
3671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: June 23, 2020, 11:10:39 PM
Terrible performance from Leicester. The break has caused more harm than good. A couple of players have gotten rusty since the return of the league. Leicester didn't perform up to standard. They had 5 shots on target – of which only 2 were on target.  Against a 15th placed Brighton, I expected more from Leicester. Well, they just made their job a lot harder. Based on recent performances, I'm sure the 3 & 4 positions of  EPL will change hands.
Their form had already started dropping even before the break. They key to their Brilliance in the first part of the season was Jamie Vardy's brilliant non-stop goal scoring form and James Maddison's reliability in the midfield but things have since changed.
3672  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: June 23, 2020, 10:17:19 PM
I totally forgot about the Jackmate Majestic 7 for this round. The next round starts on Wednesday the 24th, with Chelsea - Manchester City as the match of the week. Soccerway is a good source for injured and unavailable players. It's even better to check the official websites of each club. They always release a list of players that have been called up a match.
By the way according the Jackmate, Game week 32 started today. The round is from 23rd - June to 27th not 24th so that means you might have missed it again. I am also absolutely gutted that I could have missed 2 game weeks in a row. I think i am going to start setting alarms and reminders.
3673  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Any way how to legally transfer your crypto wealth to the tax-free countries? on: June 23, 2020, 09:31:59 PM
Thank you for your valuable idea. But, I have heard about specialized companies that focus on the study of blockchain transactions. They can interconnect your ID with one of your wallets, arenīt you afraid that in the future they will be even more advanced and one day they will reveal all transactions? When you send your coins for example from Binance to one of your addresses, it is obvious that it is probably yours and from this point you are trapped, or? Smiley
It depends on how you earn your cryptos and what exchange you use but like it was suggested above. Just use p2p exchanges like local cryptos. I can't imagine paying a 20% tax for every exchange i make between BTC and ETH. That's a ridiculous amount to pay and honestly i would also try as much as possible to dodge such a tax.

If I were you, I would get Fresh bitcoin or ETH addresses that have no connection to my past bank accounts, deposit cyptoassets that i want to exchange for fiat  in them, if possible i would even use mixers(the fee you pay is way lower than that tax) and then use P2P exchanges. There is also a currency exchange section in this forum where you can carry out trade with other members.
3674  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Titanbtc website is down on: June 23, 2020, 09:09:25 PM
Our email servers have been attacked in earnest dozens of times, and scammers have spoofed emails to look as if they came from us on more than occasion to attempt to get sensitive info from coin owners.

Also, please pay attention to the account age here on the forums.  There are profiles that use variations of my username that have tried to impersonate me in the past.
Where there is money or any valuable asset, scammers will always be there too.

I have a suggestion about maybe creating a social media account to provide support and updates in times like this when the website is down (maybe twitter or telegram channel)

How about this email sales@titanbtc.com? Does it also work?
If positive, then both emails can also be included on your forum profiles or Social media channels so that it's easier for anyone to contact support when they look up the emails.
3675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: June 23, 2020, 07:57:15 PM
It depends on the situation, I mean who did wrong. If Griezmann just defends himself at that time, why he needs to apologize? Barca isn't a club having by Messi, even he is Barca's superstar, he is a player (not the owner). I have heard many times that Messi has a problem with new players on Barca. This is not a good attitude from a superstar. I never heard it happens on CR7.
If i remember very well, about a couple of seasons back, one of Barcelona's club officials talked something which i believe was the bitter truth about Messi, but he was fired ASAP.

I think the club leadership is to also blame for this kind of rift. Now Messi looks like a god to them and anyone who disagrees with the god has to go. This is totally not healthy for the club long term.
3676  Economy / Reputation / Re: Spotted this guy selling his Hero account! on: June 23, 2020, 02:48:37 PM
Account sales are not moderated by the admins. They are not against the rules, but people don't really like to see that sort of thing here.
The offer might be legit or a scam attempt. Anyone can post a picture of any account profile and say that it is up for sale. He might or might not be the owner of that account. The only way to know for sure is to get him to PM you from the account to make sure he has account access. In that case you have proof that whoever has access to that account is trying to sell it. The account wont get banned but it will probably be tagged by DTs.
But from the screenshot you can clearly see he is viewing his profile which he is logged in (The email address is hidden if it was someone else viewing the profile)
3677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: June 22, 2020, 11:02:17 PM
Atletico Madrid should be happy right now after Sevilla dropped 2 points against Villareal and tomorrow is their chance to jump to the third place alone if they win against Levante.
3678  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: finexbox is scam on: June 22, 2020, 10:25:53 PM
this is totally scam exchange, they decline all withdrawals, support not answer at all.
There are so many reviews online if you had done a little search which point to Finexbox being a scam exchange. It's always important to do a little research about online services before using them because there are lots of scammers just waiting for any ignorant user to send them money.
Sorry for your loss but it should be a lesson.
3679  Other / Meta / Re: 502 error on: June 22, 2020, 09:51:26 PM
Again just few seconds ago
I have been on but haven't experienced it on my side. Were you using the search button, posting something or just browsing when the error popped up?
I remember such an error happening to me about a year ago when I was using the search button with long search texts.
3680  Other / Meta / Re: What about to add this feature on forum? on: June 22, 2020, 09:13:43 PM
I think suggestions like this should feature under New forum software board as well because i don't think Theymos may make any further modifications on the forum under this old forum software (SMF) especially if the suggested feature is not urgent but who knows there could be a chance to add it in the new forum software which is still under being tested.
