3661  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KUCOIN Hacked on: September 26, 2020, 10:48:33 PM
This incident shows that no exchange or wallet is safe from hackers. Second part is Kucoin managed it very well and the hacked hot wallets were redeployed. As per the update, cold wallets are safe and if any user is affected, Kucoin's insurance will get it covered. This is what expected from a good exchange.
That’s why I don’t spend much money on any exchanges because I know they are vulnerable to the hackers, good thing they have supported funds for this and they are insured. The bit question here is, what if this happen to small exchanges which already happened and force the small exchanges to close their platform. Kucoin is one of the best cryptoexchange, someone is behind on this for sure.
3662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will $XRP be safe for long term? on: September 26, 2020, 10:16:47 PM
XRP team are selling their holding as far as I remember and there’s also a news about this before so I doubt for the team of XRP because of this. If you’re going to base on XRP platform, you will believe that it will be good to hold for this coin because of working well with the banks. The future price of XRP is still good, just invest on what you can afford to lose and set your selling price so you wont get stuck on this.
3663  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: VALORANT Betting on: September 26, 2020, 12:54:57 PM
Some time ago I created a discussion on a popular group about csgo and most of me laughed when I talked about Valorat. The CS community is a lightweight ingorant.

In my opinion Valorant has potential but it doesn't have to be a success like APEX. Will it replace csgo ? Not really, but who knows. Old generations are dying out and young people are looking for freshness.
Frankly speaking, as a 1.6 fan I get bored watching the same maps all the time. What is a great advantage of CSGO, however, is the fact that it is a brilliant game in its simplicity and for sure the skill level will be above average for a long time.

Old school never dies, there's still people who still prefer to play CSGO and its there choice, just like today that we have a lot of option and yet CSGO is still on the go and running well. Valorant is new into my ears but since they are almost the same with other games, I'm sure I can easily understand this game. I'm also looking forward to play this game, not now since I'm still learning how this thing works but hopefully Valorant can give me the best reason why I need to play this game, betting is a great option too aside from playing.

3665  Economy / Economics / Re: Why criminals prefer cash (Fiat) on top of crypto? on: September 25, 2020, 10:04:03 PM
I don't think so. Since doing KYC is usually mandatory on any fiat payment system, this will be so easy to track the criminals if they use the fiat. So, they would prefer to use a P2P currency like monero and bitcoin for the transactions. If you visit the darkweb, you will see many drug dealers and the other criminals asks usually for monero and specially bitcoin because of the privacy and none needs to do any kind of KYC for it. Also, using a simple mixer, the transactions will be nearly untraceable.

There's no KYC when you perform cash transactions. This is the fiat OP is talking about.

Cryptocurrency used to buy illegal goods is still a niche. Most transactions are performed in cash.

The number of people who want to buy drugs online and then have them shipped to them is extremely low compared to all meth heads and heroine addicts who buy every single day in parks and alleys.

They still prefer cash because they don't know how to use cryptocurrency and this is not yet acceptable on many places. In my country criminal still prefer cash because they are a small time criminal and they don't need any accounts online just to get the money, they want an easy money so they can buy drugs or anything they want. Cash is still the fastest way to transact illegally, cryptocurrency is just the option for those who transact from other location with a larger amount of money and still it will depend on that criminals, I don't know why but they are all working for money.

3667  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you determine if an altcoin is worth investing in? on: September 25, 2020, 05:19:50 AM
A lot of people have been burned by founders running away with with ICO money. It tarnishes the reputation of cryptocurrencies and I believe we should help educate new investors as soon as possible.

Can anyone share a checklist of the things they look for to determine if a coin is worth investing in?

And what are the red flags that you often see people fall for?
You have to create a unique ways of finding a project as a worthy of your money, In my case I mostly do research about it and also ask other people about the specific project.

If the team developer is well active in cryptocurrency and they really exist, mostly they are good to work with. Also, if the new project offers a new product or services in the market and not just the same of many scam project. I rarely invest on a new project, I usually wait them to be available on exchanges so I can analyze further.
3668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone know a dice game that is actually fair? on: September 25, 2020, 02:15:45 AM
All of these supposedly statistically fair games seem to rape you when you cash anything out or just when you decide to bet bigger than some micro level.

Curious if anyone has ever beat one without getting crushed the second they take some off the table?
The house will always win so no matter what strategies you are using they will still find a way to collect money from you but of course many are still offering at least a fair gambling site.

You can try to play on Roobet and Bustadice, they are one of the reputable gambling site and I played with them so far I didn't experience any problem on playing with them. Fair gambling site is a must, so its good that you play with them and I suggest to still have your self-control so you wont regret losing money and stop being greedy.

Looks like someone was trying to pull the strings here because I don't think a Legendary may wanted more merits, there's no way up more than that or else the Legendary just wanted to get merits assuming that's the path to winning. Just LOL scenario.
There must be an evidence or else @SanZoldyck is just trolling here considering his trust rating.
Anyway, we are on a good Art contest campaign where merit is useless since this is purely base on your hard work.

Good luck everyone, I can't wait to see the winners here! Cheesy
3674  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Will Dex's Dominate the Cex's in near future? on: August 23, 2020, 10:57:04 PM
That will be the dream of most traders as the CEX collect much information from trader which is against the anonymity of the blockchain revolution.
But until now DEX is not that good compare to CEX and despite KYC is being collected on KYC, users have no more choice but to comply or else they will not qualify to use the services of CEX. DEX has a chance to be on top, we just need a better developer so they can offer to us a greater service not unlike the DEX that we have right now where listing a token is super easy.
3675  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fueling to launch to the moon anytime soon. on: August 23, 2020, 10:17:41 PM
BTC I was reading some sentiments regarding BTC on twitter, some wanted to jump out of the ship, but I was think of BTC last ATH. Before it, price was below $11K...and now price was near similar to that...so all I've been thinking and doing is praying/chanting. "JUST KEEP MOVING...NO STOPPING". What you guys think?
Im impossible to reach the peak without stopping, this is not a 2017 price trend mate and most of the pump right now needs to correct just like what happened when we reach the $12k this Month. Bitcoin can still reach the moon since its still on $11k level but if we touch the price of $10k again, then I think bitcoin will pause on pumping for a while until we get another reason to go up.
3676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LINK - CHAINLINK in the moon on: August 23, 2020, 09:28:42 PM
Almost a year since this post started and the OP was right, Link goes to the moon. Only if we listen into this prediction, I’m sure most of us enjoying the profit now. Being the top DeFi project is not easy to achieve despite of the current hype, there’s something especial with LINK and I think its not done yet.
3677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recover Lost Chainlink on: August 23, 2020, 02:10:29 PM
I need help in recovering my chainling which I suspect to wrong address due to missing a number or letter by mistake
We need to get more information about this or else we can't help you. Honestly, this is quiet impossible to recover those Chainlink especially when you know that you made a wrong transaction to a wrong address which is possible doesn't exist at all. You made a big mistake mate, don't expect to recover it easily or don't expect at all. Triple check your transactions before executing it, or suffer like this later on.
3678  Economy / Economics / Re: Your economic outlook and your life for 2021 poll on: August 23, 2020, 12:40:20 PM
I'll go on Neutral since we are still waiting for the cure and for the vaccine, without vaccine people will still panic and will not recover that easily. I'm still hoping for a positive bounce back next year but for now, I have to think on how to survive everyday, and have to find ways to payback all my debts despite of the situation. Cryptocurrency will help us, let's keep working and try our best everyday.
3679  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be carefull Newbies! Fake exchange promocodes scams on: August 22, 2020, 11:59:21 PM
Never believes in promo codes there you should deposit something to get more
If its too good to be true, then its not worth trying because I’m sure its just a scam. You have to compute if the rewards code is worth the risk especially if you are putting money on that exchange or any particular investment. I don’t usually use promo codes because I know its just a small money and it requires some work, if you really want to get that reward then you must do your research before trying.
3680  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bounce Back is coming? on: August 22, 2020, 10:57:04 PM
As price is not stable for crypto currency like bitcoin. It can be up or down any time. But yes we can predict and conscious about it to protect our money from loses.

From trading a short term profit I stopped doing that it's time consuming and the market is very unpredictable, just when you thought things are moving nicely you wake to see there's a dip even though you are confident that the buy support shows strength when you left it.
Plus the stress of monitoring the market for your short term goal, and this is also why I stopped day trading. Bitcoin failed to hold on a $12k position and that’s why we saw a little correction but if bitcoin keeps on failing them we will touch again the $9k in time, so stay focus and know when to cut losses and take profit.
