This thread seems to be (mostly) like a group of people all agreeing on how much they hate ETH. It has the air of jealousy really. ETH is a young technology and as such it's being refined and repaired, which is a good thing IMHO. What's the big deal about hard-forking if it's necessary? Obviously it gets more difficult as time proceeds but doing it while you still can seems like an expedient choice to me. I'm sure BTC took at least one hard fork early on. Hard-forking seems to many people to be just wrong. Like saying it is like saying a bad word. I think that if you can recognize when you are wrong about something, admit it, then change and move on that's a good thing. Rather than to stubbornly continue with what you were doing at all costs. Block size anyone?
If you compare it to BTC (which I do because most of the biggest ETH haters seem to be BTC lovers) - didn't BTC go through a lot of problems and fixes early on? So what's the big deal?
And as another comparison, supposedly ETH is largely staked by a "big group of bankers" or whatever? No doubt sitting at a round table in a smoky dark room or something? So it isn't very decentralized. Neither is BTC. What percentage of holders of BTC do you think are "average" people rather than very large investors/speculators?
Some people are also griping about Vitalek and the ETH dev team. What great leaps forward have any BTC developers made in the last 2 years?
None of these technologies are perfect obviously. There are too many of them and most of them wont survive. The ones that will have to use every opportunity to make them better and stronger. I think that the attacks on ETH to date are probably from people just like the haters on this thread. I think that if they don't kill it they will make it much, much stronger. Hopefully the hard-fork/s will make it stronger and then I would thank whoever made the attacks for driving the improvement.
BRAVO. So very eloquently said and so true. You are a star sir.

This is just another pathetic shitpost from a known ETH hating trolltard. Vitalik has said from the start and even baked into the roadmap that ETH will hardfork as it adds new features and security. So do yourselves a favour a block anything that this precious snowflake trolltard with the dodgy barber posts. It's all based on bitterness and lies.
I am being honest (as always), but you are a proved ETH cheerleader. But as I already said: just wait and see. No you are being disingenuous. Just like last time when you tried to scare everyone that the price was about to collapse just for it to subsequently rise. We call that trolling.

You have to remember the attacker is spending good money attacking these eth chains. So they "pay-to-play". They are free to spend their cash as they choose.
In my mind it's money well spent to bury the ETC Criminal Coin enterprise. And I'd gladly donate to its attackers.

ETC Criminal Coin is now sub $1. Finally heading to where it belongs, the gutter.

I bought some ether more than 12 hours ago on Shapeshift. The ether is not in address yet and the transaction is not registered. I got a message from Shapeshift after 10 hours. They blame the Ethereum attacks "Due to the slow-paced Ethereum Network your TXID has not posted to the blockchain quite yet:
The network has been experiencing a variety of attacks for the past week, and as of yesterday, transactions are taking longer than normal (up to 24-48 hours) to confirm. I am keeping an eye on your transaction (and you can too with the link here) and predict it will complete soon. If you have further questions, please let me know." Is it possible that I have to wait 1/2 days ot there should be something else? ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) No transaction then the transaction didn't happen. Most likely SS not initiated it for some reason. I had a similar issue recently with Kraken. Turns out after contacting support that they had email me an email to authorise the transaction and I missed the email because it was in Junk.

I think ICO is gud because it allows the devs to get on with what they're gud at to develop the coin.
They are fully capable f doing it with out being paid a million dollars up front. ..weak excuse from an infamous fraud here ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) ICO = Scam More importantly for you profiteers you have to look at how many end up having a price that is higher than when they start. Out of the 100's if not thousands only a few managed to do that. And it was because of heavy market manipulation. AKA: scammin' Well instead of running around trying to source money for their project they can focus on the development of the coin. Source money ? LOL ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) You realize before you created your shill account here that *IS* how it was done ? Explain to us all how Bitcoin and probably 1,000 coins were made before there was such thing as an ICO. Did Satoshi have his hand out ? And why is it when dev's said they need money for marketing etc with premined coins you cried scam yet........ You are full of shit . You support ICO's ? Then would you support a mined coin with a 1 or 2% premine ? And tread lightly scammy profiteers i can go back into your post history and see you crying SCAM on them. Because if you are a blatant fraud then being a hypocrite too won't make much difference will it ? Bitcoin was unknown for years while it gained traction. Today there isn't time to wait years and years before a Coin may or may not succeed so an ICO is the ideal solution to this problem. Who are you to say where people can invest their hard earned? Oh yeah I forgot, you're nothing more than a Spoetniktard.

This is good news, can't wait for the hard fork to be completed....It will make ETH less resistant to attackers. Buying more ETH while it is still cheap ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) It is a gud time to fill more bags.

This is what happens when you spend 90% of your energy on marketing rather than development...
Let us hope that the Ethereum classic development team will go to another direction and focus all their energy in security first and foremost. Efficiency and usability will slowly follow after when start ups begin to make use of the platform for their minimum viable protect ideas and proof of concepts. It also might be a good idea for ETC start ups to have a good relations ship with the ETC development team so that they could work side by side in fixing and improving the platform. Why would even think that a bunch of bandits and criminals would focus on security?
