wow

congratulations!!!

 Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry

I read a lot of optimism in this thread!!!

why you are so pessimistic!!!

we know all the bitcoin volatility...
and we like bitcoin for this!!!

so i think volatility will be always welcome!!!

Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

just take the right position!!!!

I'm pessimistic because the fundamentals are screwed, things that should have been fixed years ago are still being dragged along and devs are either unresponsive or come with 'oh, we'll deal with that when it becomes an issue.'.

But, i have to admit you can build a fully working economy on something totally messed up, central banks are doing just that world wide... So who knows, but i don't think there's much hope left for bitcoin unless there's a hard fork which will be a disaster at this point, i doubt there will ever be consensus.

i'm interested to red words.
can you elaborate it plz?
what are this point??

i'm really interested!!!

thanks!!!
3664  Local / Trading, analisi e speculazione / Re: Trading: come iniziare? on: January 28, 2015, 08:39:44 PM

3667  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin Traveller's Guide to the Galaxy on: January 28, 2015, 08:48:04 AM
The article suggests the use of https://bitcoinpaperwallet.com, which is not a very secure way in reality. You never know if they are storing your private key. A better way to create a paper wallet is to download https://github.com/pointbiz/bitaddress.org and run it in an offline machine.

https://bitcoinpaperwallet.com uses Javascript just like bitaddress.org to generate keys on the clientside.

So there is no chance that the Private keys and public are stored on their database ?? I guess we can't never know for sure

hi guyz!!

for do a bitcoin paper wallet i have used this tutorial

work for me...

Bohan the Urocoin dev was ID's at launch with photos of him working with the team that would be supplying urea fertilizer at a 1urocoin = 1mt urea for orders over 12500 MT in size. but 9 months later people still yell scam so im not sure the point. ID or not has no bearing on if something is a scam or not. if you feel more comfortable only investing in coins whose developers have a real face then go for it Wink

PS goo Urocoin.

so true

@OP

Thanks for the PM today. I was going to give my thoughts just to you, but on reflection, I'd like to see what the nascent community thinks.

I like the idea of a crypto<>torrent combination. It makes a lot of sense to me. Here is broadly why and why I think you should consider broadening the project.

1. YouTube provides free music now. Torrents did well at the start because people were distributing music.

2. XMBC distributes movies and TV shows. Torrents didn't do that very well because of file sizes. crypto torrents won't fix that issue or compete well with XBMC unless the seeders want to earn something from their work.

3. sourceforge, github, softpedia and download.com do free software and sponsored bundles / trials.

Where I think vtorrent can create a new category that sits well with the above is through seeder's greed and rights owners need to earn money.

If you create a wallet that flashes up ads, or find some other way to bring the youtube and spotify ad revenue model in, then rights owners can pay seeders for being their distribution channel. Movies in particular are file size intensive and getting paid to seed would actually help rights owners.

Movies could be ad supported in the same way as youtube and spotify now integrate ads into content. The money payment side could be VTR.

Rights owners don't have a way to stop services like XBMC/Kodi. What they do have are distribution budgets and revenue share models. Making crypto seeders part of their distribution model and paying them for providing a backbone to that distribution channel becomes part of the net neutrality debate. Any residential street in the USA can have teens sitting in their bedrooms seeding movies to their neighbours like a LAN and thereby removing the burden on the internet infrastructure to distribute movies through at peak times - both the movie distributors and the internet service providers and possibly the cable providers could pay the teens in crypto.

Mozilla earns a fortune each year distributing software for yahoo and god knows who else. So, software providers can use a similar model to pay seeders to distribute their software and share in the bundling of third party software, browsers, etc.

Torrent's using the crypto model actually help to define a way to tap into financial incentives that can solve the headache faced by rights holders.

If VTR can show a way to integrate some of the above and perhaps even more, into a wallet then we will truly have something groundbreaking, IMO

What publicly traded companies (NYSE, NASDAQ, OTC) are developing Bitcoin technology or applications? I know of Overstock, Bitcoin Shop and the Winklevoss ETF, but perhaps there other options for traditional investors that want to invest in the Next Big Things.

do not forget bitcoin CFD.

I am a bit confused with so many replies. Forum is not allowing me to post fast !!! What I understand is I need to contact the merchant. I bought it from Cloud Mining Website. How do I contact them ? I tried to send 0.02 BTC, whereas 20 BTC has gone from me. I can not afford this loss. Need to get it back at any cost. In PayPal, CreditCard there is an option to revert a transaction. Why dont we have it in Bitcoin ?

you could try to contact the merchant and talk with him...
you can explain him how it went...
and you can try to offer him a little small reward if he will return to you 20 bitcoin.

if he is honest will accept without thinking about it 2 times!!!

but i'm not so sure!!!

OP here decided that confirmation is taking too long, even with 0.01 fee, so he sent another tx using same input (double spend) instead of waiting for confirmation.

i think this solution give him same result
why this new transaction with same problem would be accepted?
maybe there are some new consideration?

No, there is no 'new transaction with same problem'. OP did not repeat the same tx.
He used same input and sent it to himself, in hope that new tx will confirm before. It did.

oh sure....
i understand!!!
i haven't seen this part

"He used same input and sent it to himself"

let's see if the transaction will be confirmed!!!

3677  Local / Progetti / Re: Aprire gambling on: January 27, 2015, 05:19:55 PM

E no, non usare script comprati.

hai aggiornamenti?Huh

rendici partecipi!!!

3679  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Payment with 0.01 fee still uncofirmed on: January 27, 2015, 05:11:27 PM
There are "dust" outputs in it
1PayC5RCF2aXZ6Rjg2DpVM73gaQbndiZVX  0.00000261 BTC
115TJLNHbc4opemg4k22Liu4qjFjS1UpiY  0.00000783 BTC
1K35XVxqTCwHSCVxddX2MPsbTNTmV7dwbo  0.00000522 BTC
Nobody wants to mine this transaction.
Last time I did a transaction with 2 outputs (one of them was 0) it got confirmed in a matter of hours though I only paid 0.0001 fee.
Most miners will not confirm any transactions that contain any inputs or outputs that are under .00005800 BTC. You have three of which outputs in your transaction.

It is also not possible to have an output of 0
So, it is impossible to sent under .00005800 BTC?

yes it is, but not when you are double spending, like whoever made this transaction did

OP here decided that confirmation is taking too long, even with 0.01 fee, so he sent another tx using same input (double spend) instead of waiting for confirmation.

i think this solution give him same result
why this new transaction with same problem would be accepted?
maybe there are some new consideration?

Hi, I'm wondering how can I check balance of bitcoin address without to do query to blockchain.info
I want to do my own payment system for my website, I don't want to use third party site, this is the idea of bitcoin anyway - freedom.
So, it's easy for my to genarate bicoin address with bitcoinJS-lib, but how to check the balance of that address?

Is this possible with Bitcoin Full node, I readed an article about it, it can be done with bitcoind on my own VPS server, OK, I can run a VPS on digitalocean, but can I get balances of any address from it, and how fast it get the changes of the balance?

P.S. Sorry for my English.

i think here you can find a lot of info
