In my opinion the most crucial difference is the fact that Libra is backed by institutions, And by that, I mean that the value of Libra is reserved by fiat currency. This is totally different with bitcoin notion, however, due to the fact that it is a digital currency Libra comes to the same category as Bitcoin

Philippines war on drugs entered a new phase as drug Syndicates are now using bitcoin to transact and avoid detection from the government. PDEA(Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency) recently found out that most organized Drug syndicate are using the dark web to transact to each other. It's clear that some countries are slower at adopting new technologies and these drug syndicate took the opportunity to make their transactions much easier without being detected by the government. here is the link for more details: https://www.philstar.com/headlines/2019/06/11/1925535/pdea-drug-syndicates-use-dark-web-bitcoinMost syndycates that are active in illegal industries are the first to adopt innovate technologies. And why is that? Because it is ahead of everyone and they make their lives easier with paying with Bitcoin for example. What makes me sad is because of that issue, bitcoin may be regulated in Phillippines. Or it may be stronger that will make it to be adopted by citizens faster.

According to the Coinmarketcap website, Bitcoin dominance has breached the 60% level and is now reported at 60.1%. Including the forked coins (BCH, BSV, BTG.etc), the total market cap for BTC+forks comes to slightly above 64%, while the altcoin market share has dipped below the 36% mark.
I am sure that a lot of users may be unhappy about this, but I am delighted as more than 90% of my crypto assets are in the form of BTC. I had sold most of my alt holdings in 2018.
I am not very sure about the reasons behind the rising BTC dominance. But I suspect that the users have become more matured now, and a lot of them have realized that investing in shitcoins is simply not worth all the risk.
Here is my outlook for the major cryptocurrencies:
1. BTC: The prices will continue to increase and a new ATH may be reached by the end of 2019 or by 2020. The dominance will continue to increase and may reach 70% by the end of this year. But one concern I have is regarding the transaction fee. It has risen by more than 10x since the start of the year. Another 10x increase would be catastrophic.
2. ETH: The exchange rates are still lagging behind the ATH. The poor health of the ICO market is probably pulling ETH down. The Cryptopia hack also played its part.
3. XRP: I would say that this one is the most worthless and unreliable altcoins among the top 10. Therefore I am not surprised by its falling market share.
4. BCH: Holding well as of now. In case the BTC transaction fee spikes again (like what we had during 2017 Dec), then this coin can rocket upwards.
5. LTC: One of the best performing alts. However I won't be surprised if a correction occurs post block reward halving.
6. EOS: I don't know much about this coin.
7. BNB: I would consider this coin as overpriced. A correction is due.
8. BSV: A lot will depend on the future actions of CSW. Very unpredictable coin.
9. USDT: Everything was going well for Tether until the scandal at Bitfinex was revealed to the public. Now a lot of the users don't consider this coin as a reliable stablecoin. In the near future it will be facing a lot of competition from the other stablecoins.
10. TRX: An overpriced shitcoin. I don't have anything good to say about this one.
Ι don't think that altcoins are overpriced as you said. Bitcoin dominance at this rate is not a healthy indicator for the market. It would be healthy to my eyes if I see a respective increase in altoins' prices instead f just bitcoin's.

Even $100,000 would kill it. If 1 sat (or even 100 sat) == $1 then the fees would grind the system to a halt. The fees would be so high relative to the amount sent, that it wouldn't be worth it. From an investment perspective 1 sat==1$ is a nice round number. From a users perspective, only being able to buy things divisible by 1$ is crap.
Why would that kill Bitcoin? I find it a perfect scenario to make Bitcoin as a digital asset that people will store value in it. The same as Gold is right now. You just have to see it from another perspective. There are many use cases that bitcoin can cover.

Cryptocurrencies and blockchain is strictly related. Without the blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies cannot survive. Thus, If he states that it is going to survive then that means that cryptocurrencies will continue to exist along with the blockchain technology. His point is not valid.

There's been a lot of disagreements with last year's MVP but I don't think anyone would argue about Giannis winning this time. I mean, compared to others, he delivered on bot ends of the floor. If I am not mistaken, he declared at the start of last season that he'll win the MVP award. It was totally well-deserved for Antetokounmpo. He was the best player in the league and he kept a consistent performance from the start of the season. From the first game till the last one he was the best player in Bucks and he was always trying for the best of his team. Congrats to him and I wish him to continue that for many many seasons.

The Art of the Deal... ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Is this real news? If so, this man is incredible! The US is powerful but still this move makes Trump a genius. He wants to build a wall and get rid of Mexicans and still he wants to empower American Economy by taking advantage of Mexico!

Just move to a bigger city. If you live in New York, you can do whatever you want and nobody will care. There are so many freaks and weirdos out there...
If you have a fear of what people will think, moving to a bigger city will make things worse. This will happen, because there are more people who are going to be moving around so the people will start caring about what more and more people will think of him.

This act is very dangerous for the global peace. I think that Iran did the best by shooting the drone. US drones are mostly used for spying or bombing so they did the right to protect their country. The US should stop abusing Iran if they want stability in the region.

Neymar wants to return to Barcelona and the club also wants it but PSG doesn't want it to happen and they want to sell Neymar at a very expensive price. I think this is going to be difficult. Barcelona won't spend as much as PSG asks.
PSG officials want to sell at the same price when they buy from Barcelona. I don't think there is a club that wants neywar, plus the price is unfortunately very expensive. Of course clubs are better off buying cheaper young players. And can be relied on with good polite manners. I also think that is because the purchase clause is too expensive I think Barcelona and the other clubs will forget Neymar and choose another alternative. In football, many quality players like Neymar are just not very famous. And after Neymar's scandal that got out recently I don't see that any team is going to move forward in signing the all star player. It would be very risky to connect the brand of the team with a scandal of "their" player.

also I saw a lot of people picking Uruguay in sites and forums like blogabet , personally not sure about it but it seems there is value in taking Uruguay
I hate taking "popular" bets. I am thinking in a way that bookies will end each day in profit. Meaning few of the most popular bets must end with unexpected results in order to bust most people. That is especially true on days with limited choices of games. For this one I am thinking Chile to score @1.45 has some value but I decided to take more risky option of both to score and over 2.5 goals @2.30. Many people including me expected Chile to win yesterday or in the worse case a draw to happen but Uruguay did win. This copa America has been full of surprises and I think that even Ecuador game is some sort of surprise, not being able to beat Japan is not the best of performance from a better quality side. For the first match, I also thought that Chile is going to win Uruguay. And I am very surprised that they didn't score any goals. As for the second match it was obvious for it to finish in a tie. The teams have the same quality and balanced squads so the draw is a fair results for both counterparts.

We know the justice system is totally screwed up and flawed in so many ways. And with its harsh punishments and improper management, there are times when innocents are convicted and later sentenced to life in prison or even death. And after decades of their sentence, they are declared innocent.
But there is nothing official from the government yet to pay them atleast some respect and acknowledge Government's fault in convicting them.
It would not only bring shame to an imperfect Government (no Government is perfect) but would bring huge attention of public towards such a grave problem. And many laws regarding it can be passed when public sentiment is with it.
A study claims that 1 out of 25 people are wrongfully executed, excluding those who are later released by government for lack of evidences.
That's huge. And hence I believe there should be a complete growing list of people wrongfully accused and put to death without fair trial and be given tribute globally. This would put shame to the country executing most Innocents in the global arena. And the families of those victims who are executed can be given financial help and other emotional help.
It's unfair to just forget about them as if a normal mistake.
Opinions?
I don't think that needs to be an international day. Death penalty is not a regulation in many West countries and apart from that death penalty is doomed from those governments so there is no point in setting an international day for that.

We have enough resources for everyone its just that greedy people at the top like to hoard. UBI is a natural progression towards an advanced society. Remember if wealth inequality gets too far out of hand the wealthy will be exposed to the very real threat of revolution. Poor people would rather flip the game board over and start again making all those dollars worthless.
A rational point is the revolution you refer to. But there are a lot of other strategies that rich people follow in order to make poor people unable to act. For example, in many latin countries there is a lot of poverty but still there is not any revolution because the rich know how to handle them.

I think Argentina have only postponed their doom day, it's inevitable, obviously.
They still look like they are no match for the top teams, I don't see them defeating the likes of Colombia, Chile or even Uruguay. They might not even make it past Venezuela, but we'll see.
Many people say that it is the time that Argentina is going to win a title with Messi on their squad, however it seems like they are not able to do so. In my opinion, they don't seem to play dominant football such as the one that Brazil or Colombia plays. It would be a disaster if they don't win the trophy again.

Is the moon hollow? It is said it rings like a bell. Was it brought here? Is it an artificial space station brought to Earth to stabilize the atmosphere and make our planet habitable? Is it filled, on the inside with offices of alien engineers and scientists? It's is said that the Earth would wobble too much if the moon was not there to stabilize the gravity. What do you think? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hollow_Moon#The_Moon_rang_like_a_bellThere's also a lot more evidence or pros and cons on this argument on the line if you're looking It would be interested if the Moon is an artificial space station that was created to stabilize the atmosphere and make Earth human friendly. But, this needs a lot of technological advances that people didn't have in early years so I think that this option should be out of the table.

I didn't manage to find a Thread with regards to the Copa America competition that undergoes right now, so I opened a thread for it. If there is already one, please inform me so as to lock the thread.
To begin with, I am very impressed with the Football that Colombia plays and I am in favor of them to win the title.
Which nation do you think will be the dominant in this Championship?
|
|

I don't think that it is the same situation. Indeed, in the previous ATH the fee skyrocketed very much showing that something goes wrong. During this period however, we undergo a halving event something that didn't occur at that period.

Still we are about 45% down from the ATH, which was reached on December 2017. The alts are even more so, with Ethereum down by 80% and Bitcoin Cash down by 90% from their respective peak levels. So I would say that there is still a long way to go. But looking at the trends, things looks rosy for Bitcoin. For the alts, I would say that they are yet to come out of the bearish loop.
The market seems to react in the upward trend, but I don't think that it seems healthy. Bitcoin dominance is still 59% showing no trust in any of the altcoins that exist in the market even in Ethereum that it is very close to bitcoin. If we don't see altcoins bouncing then I think that the market is in a risk condition.

So, now we know last team that will join La Liga in upcoming season - it's Mallorca. They won against Deportivo in the final of playoffs. They lost 1st leg game 0:2, but then Mallorca made great comeback by winning 3:0 at home. Year ago they played only in Segunda B (third division) and now they returns to La Liga for the first time since 2012/13 season.
I was in fond of Deportivo and I wanted them to see in the La Liga next season. it would be great to see this historical team joining the biggest Spanish category again. I am not sure if they could make an outstanding season but at east it would be nice to see them playing with their amazing home and the atmosphere that their fans do.
