3661  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you choose to hold Bitcoin or Ethereum? on: November 30, 2017, 09:54:41 PM
Things and speculations are getting complicated.
Economically, large economic players are already into bitcoin while they are still waiting for ethereum to perform.
If bitcoin can reach 1100, ethereum can reach 5000 by the end of 2018.
3662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too late to buy Monero? on: November 30, 2017, 09:50:32 PM
With it's anonymous nature, monero is the first choice for payment in the digital world and hence has the potential of exponential growth like bitcoin.
3663  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is coinomi safe for accessing BTG? on: November 30, 2017, 09:48:42 PM
If you are asking is coinomi be trusted to enter your private key than yes you can trust them blindly.
They wont transmit your private keys from the device.
3664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to create mining pool for altcoin without source cde or port mining address? on: November 30, 2017, 09:44:33 PM
In my case, it’s about https://gmdcoin.co/ where only wallets software is available ?

is it possible to create a mining pool with just the database ?

Though rather than a mining pool for everyone, I’m just interested in Scrypt mining it for myself.

Try finding an open source scrypt mining pool code from github and fork it. Than you just have to tune some settings to start your own mining pool.

3665  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how much can ripple reach by year end? on: November 30, 2017, 07:35:00 AM
Ripple is a shady project. And the current price seems too hyped.
And with a lot of options in altcoins, there's no more room for such coins to rise.
3666  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will ICOs get more investment now that Bitcoin is surging? on: November 29, 2017, 10:39:40 PM
It's not a good time for an ICO. As, the price is highly unstable and rising, people would want to hold and buy rather than invest in something.
I've seen many ICO's already postponing their issue date.
3667  Economy / Speculation / Re: Triple digits by 2018? on: November 29, 2017, 09:42:58 PM
Technologically bitcoin is a revolution. Economically its getting a form of ponzi.
With no actual value to back it, it's increase in price is totally depended on the new investors investing in it.
Though it will not die, we could see back the 3 digit figure when the investors can no longer wait to redeem profit.
3668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there anything Ethereum can do stop the rapid-fire JunkCoin launches? on: November 29, 2017, 09:14:36 PM
If I understand correctly it is inexpensive and easy to launch a coin for Ethereum.  Maybe they need to reconsider a high(er) coin launch contract fee to slow it down a bit ... just to separate the serious projects/teams from scams and “useless” tokens.

I don't think that rely matter, because scammer will always find a way to go around this, even if the bar is as high as $1 million dollar, I think the fisrt thing is to make the faces of these developer to be visible in public no more anonymous developer

True. And it would be rather difficult for the platform to recognize a scam and on doing so, it may make the token issue process more difficult which would lead developers to switch to another platform.
3669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Snap back to reality on: November 29, 2017, 09:09:50 PM
The increase is due to the surge in number of people and amount of capital invested and hodl in cryptocurrency.
But there's no sense in hodling forever for the people who were in for quick profit which they got.
3670  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can ETH Touch 500$ in new year? on: November 28, 2017, 06:59:06 AM
I believe EThereum would croo $500$ within the year 2018. Though it may be halting in rise this year, it would normalize and increase with the normalization of the price of bitcoin.
3671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Five People Do You Think Had The Biggest Impact On Altcoins on: November 28, 2017, 06:09:26 AM
It's all about the team and community rather than a single individual.
Satoshi created bitcoin and disappeared without any support (or little initial support).
Yet the coin thrived and prosper.

Vitalik is one of the respected person as he thinks not only of his Ethereum but also for whole crypto community.
3672  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gold (BTG) on: November 28, 2017, 06:05:47 AM
Bitcoin Gold? What the heck is that? I've never heard of it before.

you have heard about bitcoin cash? bitcoin gold is the same
bitcoin gold from the hardfork of bitcoin. may be in the future the price will be increase like bitcoin cash.

Do you think it will become another pump and dump tool like bch?

Is bch a pump and dump tool? I don't know about BTG but BCH has proved its worthiness and is here to stay.
BCH has everything a successful crypto needs, price, use, good community of miners and users.
3673  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Biggest Advancements in Cryptocurrency Technology for 2018 on: November 28, 2017, 06:02:40 AM
What are going to be the best advancements in technology for crypto next year?

I think that atomic swaps are going to become widely used for Btc, Ltc, and Vtc.

What else am I missing that could happen next year?

We'll see the rise of decentralized exchanges in 2018. That would be the best thing technologically for crypto next year.
We'll also be seeing regulation (acceptance) of cryptocurrency by multiple countries in the coming year.
3674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Do you switch coins? on: November 28, 2017, 05:58:40 AM
I keep switching between new potential coins and profitable coins.
When I find some to have potential future and has low difficulty, I mine it for a long time (15 to 30 days) and after that I generally switch to something that can pay for my electricity and stick to it unless I found another promising coin.
3675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO Battle on: November 28, 2017, 04:35:56 AM
The problem about ICO is they don't give a way to define the price of a token.
The company uses it as a fundraiser and dump the coins to user to trade it as any cryptocurrency.
And the value is in most case not related to what the company is doing.
3676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: which are the undervalued currency's right now on: November 28, 2017, 03:37:56 AM
It's just my personal opinion but Ethereum, Monero and NEO seems to be the one which would soon cross $1K mark. Monero for quick profit as it will steadily grow with its use in darkmarket.
3677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gambler or investor? on: November 28, 2017, 03:36:01 AM
Investing in altcoin seem to be more gambling nowadays.
Though I may have increased my worth upto x5 from trading in a year, I would have gained more (x13) if I did just hold the bitcoins.
3678  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It is a question to create POS currency, on: November 28, 2017, 03:33:38 AM
Why would you want to repeat the fault of Blackcoin?
POS coins seems to be failing at the time though the concept is rather good.
I'd suggest for a long period of POW and very low parallel POS.
3679  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero and Darkcoin are the Top Privacy coins on: November 28, 2017, 03:31:53 AM
Deeponion is dark as it advertises.
Monero and Darkcoin are rather open and has better community.
Monero being the POW only cryptonote coin is the best decentralized privacy coin.
3680  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where can I check pre-ICO prices of already ended ICOs? on: November 28, 2017, 03:29:48 AM
Yes, it's a really difficult for a user to collect price of a token on different phases of its ICO, it comes handy when buying and selling the coin in secondary market. The website and blog of the token may be the first place to look for it and announcement and speculation thread in the forum are second.
