Sorry that I sort of lost interest once Algeria went out, but I should watch if possible some of the games as they start around the end of my shift and I have a free day tomorrow so I can sleep late and destroy the rest of my week lol
I'm still watching for the sake of love for the AFCON, but my interest has waned since Nigeria was eliminated! I currently only watch a few games at a time. This is getting ridiculous. Senegal with 2 players more and 0 shots on target. Come on, grow a pair, and play to score a goal. Maybe if these other guys get 2 nore reds it will be enough for victory in extra time ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) The fact that all of the round 16 match have had 1-2 red cards per match appears to be a script to me. The level of corruption at this year's AFCON is insane; they're killing the game with unwarranted red cards. Senegal remains the competition's worst team. I'm still baffled as to how they got to the quarter-finals, they needed two red cards to finally score open play goal. It's literally crazy, and funny enough they're still yet to concede a goal in this tournament, weird. It's just funny that they might advance way further into the tournament. Morocco have finally restored parity just before the break after going behind just after 6 minutes into the game, the pressure would be much more on Malawi from here on. It's been coming all along, isn't it ?

Three red cards in four games is becoming very irritating; this is a knockout stage, and the referees need to pay closer attention to details before issuing cards.
It's as though the referees aren't using their own initiatives whatsoever, they just follow the textbook guidelines of FIFA relating to fouls and make really absurd decisions that tends to ruin games even from the very get go, as a referee your call is the final say whether or not you're being signaled to make a review by the VAR. Today's red card for Comoros and that of Nigeria's yesterday were extremely absurd to say the least neither of them are worthy of an outright red card (at most a yellow), these aren't intended tackles, with both players in pursuit of the ball and without raising the legs above normal, but you really can't determine how fast an opponent would stretch his leg. It really just shows the lack of understanding of the game by them because these decision are usually the determining factors of the outcome of the game more often than not. I'd say Comoros really should be proud of themselves and go home with their heads held high, it was a great performance from them, despite their unfortunate circumstances.

It doesn't matter to me anyway we've seen a lot of surprises here already so I already took Comoros to win @ 67 Odds last night, I'm not anticipating a win for them, but I'd like to be against the bookies should something dramatic want to happen.
it would be a winner, if Comoros would held to half-time, anyway maybe I will put something as well regarding first match, according to stats, it was a bit better than the rest, and Gambia is going to next round, had exact score in the pool ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Nice one there with the Gambia pick, I went with Guinea though. The red card early into the game dashed all hopes of a possible upset I'd say but for Comoros to have stayed in the game for that long and remain disciplined while also make some threats on goal, you've really got to commend them. They could have as well equalized but thanks to Onana's brilliance in goal. There's no way back for the Comoros from here, I'd say. All things just keeps working in the favor of Cameroon.

why the heck is Cameroon to win @1.04 on bookies? yeah, I get it that they are favorites against Comoros, but @1.04 is really humiliating in this AFCON full of surprises? or host has to be in semi-final according to rules?
It's not because they're the favourite it's because the Comoros team is said to be depleted and they'd even be having an outfield player in goal for the game. It doesn't matter to me anyway we've seen a lot of surprises here already so I already took Comoros to win @ 67 Odds last night, I'm not anticipating a win for them, but I'd like to be against the bookies should something dramatic want to happen.

^Thank you stadus. Same pick for me with Golden State Warriors -5.5. Utah Jazz is in bad shape for now without the Spider and they even lost against the Rockets a couple of games ago. And to add to that problem are Gobert and Bogdanovic as questionable for the game.
We lost, Warriors won but the spread was not covered. If it was only a high scoring game then there's a chance the spread will be covered. But it's fine, we can bounce back later, though there are only 4 games available but I can choose the best one to cap. With that said, I'm with the Utah Jazz +9.5 and ML. I like the Jazz here after seeing what them play yesterday, they are still a good shooting team even with Donovan Mitchell's absence, It's going to be a different game against the Phoenix Suns for sure but I believe the spread is just about right enough for them to easily cover. I really don't like any other fixture from today, but I'll be taking the Over 202.5 in the Cavaliers vs New York Knicks, and hopefully it's not just a trap.

The heck just happened. I didn't win anything. Warriors didn't cover the spread. Trail Blazers upset the Raptors. ![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif) The Hawks upset the Hornets big time. James and Westbrook combined 57 points but not enough to win against an undermanned Miami Heat. Usually, when WB has stats of a triple-double or almost, he wins games but not today. T'Wolves also won versus the Brooklyn Nets. Wow, a huge turn of events. I guess I'll just get it back tomorrow. Cheers! It's crazy night for some match ups to be honest, Hornets and Bulls losing by over and about 20 points respectively was the highlight of the night imo. Warriors were still pretty underperforming, and Curry with what probably was his worse game in several years, he made just 1/13 from 3 Pts, and most of which were uncontested attempts or attempts in which he had decent look. I was able to get even with my bet on the Raptors. Raptors were utterly awful in the 1st and 2nd Quarter, but had a really decent recent in the 3rd and 4th, I'm sure there was much time still available for the could have forced OT or better still complete the comeback. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FgKK3sun.jpg&t=663&c=J3-dHn5ILJhV6A)

11 games for later. I'll throw one more for the Toronto Raptors -7.5 versus Portland Trail Blazers. How about the Lakers? Anyone who thinks they might snatch a win against the undermanned Miami Heat? No Lowry, Herro, and Tucker is questionable. I think I'll give it a chance despite losing a lot of my bets for them. Lakers ML.
The Toronto Raptors are currently being torn apart by Trail Blazers with a 30 points lead at halftime, I actually have the Blazers on +7.5 and that's because I felt the Raptors could have a hard time, which I guessed right. It will take more than a miracle for the Raptors to get a W here, as the Blazers just seemed to be making all the right calls and plays. I'll be following the consensus here on the Warriors vs Jazz, I'm taking the Warriors -4.5 @ 1.892 Odds. GL everyone!

Who can confirm that 12 Tunisian players tested positive for Covid19 before the game against Nigeria? I took Nigeria @1.70, and the odds are rapidly decreasing.
i checked twitter real quick and didn't find anything Tunisia will indeed be missing a couple of players due Covid-19 but I'm not sure about the specific number of players expected to be missing, Wahbi Khazri their captain is amongst the players expected to miss the game.. Tunisia coach and 10 others to miss Nigeria gamehmm, Nigeria @1.82 at the time of writing... it seems like people are not too concerned about this covid outbreak in the team but i'm not touching it, anything can happen... i dodged a bullet earlier in Burkina faso v Gabon,, the latter with the late goal while being one man down for the last 20 min of regular time... just AFCON things ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) i keep drifting away from the top spots of the leaderboard 😧 It's halftime and it's still goalless between Nigeria and Tunisia, nothing spectacular about the game yet, but Nigeria are clearly the better side so far with several attempts on goal being made, Tunisia have been well organized defensively as well. Still anyone's game to be honest, I'm taking Nigeria to win @2.28 odds rn. I also missed getting any point from Burkina Faso vs Gabon, it's hard to go with a draw especially with those additional 30 minutes been counted on SuperBRU.

AFCON is continuing today, don't forget to put in your picks. 5 players still without picks.
picks submitted! Burkina faso and Nigeria to win i'm still not super confident about placing a ticket here, but Burkina faso moneyline x2.3 looks juicy I went with Burkina Faso in the first game as well, but I'm tempted with an Under 1.5 goals bet which will be really tricky and as such also contradictory to my pick in the pool. btw, bit of news for the fixture tomorrow: "Comoros to field outfield player in goal for Afcon last-16 tie vs Cameroon". Sourceso yeah, Cameroon to win should be free points for everyone in the pool ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) How better can things actually get for Cameroon, huh ? Who can confirm that 12 Tunisian players tested positive for Covid19 before the game against Nigeria? I took Nigeria @1.70, and the odds are rapidly decreasing.

Regardless of the absentees, I believe Nigeria will have to continue their terrific performance to see them through.

~snip That is cheating, provoking the lady luck with not caring ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) maybe, but still, after two matches we are splitting the top for this round with 4,5 points if I have thought a bit more about matches, would probably miss both, so will stick to this provocation to lady luck strategy I think I've said a few times too, when I put in score randomly without even checking out recent forms or position on the table it tends to work, but when you get really close in the ranking and you don't want to mess shit then it all starts to go sideways again. Lazio and Atalanta playing out a goalless draw is something I really just still can't understand, I've got BTTS on at least to parlays and Over 2.5 on another, meeeeh! That'd be the 3 goalless draw in 5 games from Atalanta, what a shame from a team that were known for their goalscoring prowess.

Edit: okay VAR chalked it off but if not, Wolves scoring THREE goals again would have made this day weirder. And did I say Rashford back-to-back was crazy? Try Adama Traore... I guess fate didn't want to push its luck today
Wolves have been brilliant in recent week, and I back them in all my bets and in the pool, that seemed like a bet not to be missed for me. I think this season is shaping up to be the closest title race in a long time.
Closest title race... I dont think so! This one Manchester city will easily win it because the other teams dont have the fight in them to challenge them. You sure went back some pages to retrieve this haha. But you know, I'm a stubborn little gambler and still asking and prodding around for a treble offer for me on Liverpool. We're the only team to ever sit atop the league on Christmas and not go on to win. I would love City to join us in creating such hallowed, such exclusive company. Pity we only meet them in April, but well, maybe it's best. Haha, the post is almost 4 months old and no one would have expected City to be in the clear by this margin at this point back then, given how both Liverpool and Chelsea were in good shape.
Southampton have just stunned Man City in the early minutes of the game, it's going be an interesting. Not one of those frustrating evenings I hope

The Warriors on the other hand, suffered and lost unexpectedly against the Pacers with a 4 points score difference. Seems the Warriors recently are out of bounce and their chemistry isn't that well enough anymore since they can be defeated by a weaker team like the Pacers now.
They'll have a chance to bounce back from that very disappointing loss. Today, they'll play a back to back game and will be up against the Rockets, I think a weaker team like the Rockets will be easy for them to beat, and knowing that the Warriors always come back from a loss, it's so enticing to take the spread although it's as high as -11. I think I like the Warriors here, even though I'm not the biggest fan of wide spreads I think the Warriors got this. I'll be taking the Lakers -5.5 against Orlando Magic, I know Lakers are pretty awful right now, but it's going to be a real low if they're unable to get a win against a team like Magic. I also like the Nuggets vs Memphis as well. Lakers need to win and covering that handicap should not be a problem. Though we keep seeing disappointing outcome from their previous performances, but still they need to come up and make some win. Magic is not that much if they will perform well. I'll be checking this one as I'm looking for the Nets and Boston, lots of games to choose, better to carefully analyzed and fid the value bet that can bring a better outcome.. I'm glad Lakers eventually did cover the spread and I won my bet, despite being behind at halftime the rally in the 3rd Quarter was determining factor. Warriors were terrible last night again, they were barely able to win with Curry's buzzer-beating shot, after some good run in the final minutes of the game, a game where they double digits favorite. Warriors next game is against the Utah Jazz, I'm curious to see what the line/odds would open at.

I had Watford to win 2-1, and they went from being the better side in the first half to a complete shitty team in second half. I was pretty much optimistic with the way the first half played out.
Not the greatest way to kickstart the week, but it's much comforting to know that only a few people from the pool actually had Norwich to win.
|
|
|
Nothing much to say about Watford vs Norwich so far, It's goalless at halftime, with Watford better a bit with the ball and attempts but either goalkeepers have barely had to do anything spectacular. Sissoko probably had the best chance of the half after being squared by Joshua King, but couldn't finish.

What a shameful outing for Algeria. Should I call over confidence or what. Afcon Champion could not register a single win in their group stage including those they tagged as minors. Algeria and Zambia have experienced the same fate. When Zambia won the Africa cup for the first time in 2012 they were knocked out in the group stages during the 2013 edition just like what has happened to Algeria. The whole thing is getting interesting and I hope the super eagles will not underrate any of these teams including the so called minor, because they are the real problems in this tournament. This afcon is full of surprises. I love this tournament the giant teams are being sink down to the earth and the minor team are being resurrated to the highest level.
I really thought the first two games could be a wake-up call for Algeria, but it wasn't and now they are out and it's deserved. It was the only big surprise (well, maybe also Ghana's elimination to some extend) in the first round imho. For the final round the role distribution seems clear. In 3 of the 4 brackets towards the semi-final we have clear favorites: Nigeria, Senegal and Cameroon. If any of those doesn't make it it would be a huge surprise. The last bracket is a bit more open with Ivory Coast vs Egypt and the winner facing (probably) Morocco in the quarter finals. Algeria and Ghana would have gone head to head if there was a trophy for flops of the tournament. I really won't consider Senegal as clear favorite against Cape Verde, given what they played in the first round, Senegal scored just one in a group where you have expected them to do away a possible 9 points, while Cape Verde emerged from a tough group.

Okay, Algeria are already down by 2 goals with halftime on the horizon, it's pretty to say they're journey has ended in the tournament, it's funny how the expectations for them increases after each game but what they've done after every game is to attain a new low.
Cape Verde and Malawi qualified to the knockout stage, meanwhile, the defending champions are eliminated...the magic of AFCON, i guess... my condolences to those who had Algeria as Outright Winner in the sportsbet promo, not a single chip from them ![Lips sealed](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/lipsrsealed.gif) Damn man, not a even best third placed team fight. This is the craziest AFCON I've ever witnessed, Tunisia by the way as well had to settle for a best third placed qualification and will now face Nigeria, regardless of Tunisia mode of qualification, I think it still going to be a tough one for the Super Eagles. Quite a number of fascinating matches to look for in the knock stages though, Egypt vs Ivory Coast sure is one, I'd say Cameroon probably got the easiest matchup, but we've seen stranger things happen right ?
