BFL didn't ask me to pay US dollar

Sorry, they actually did. Their website shows US dollars on the home page. The order page doesn't even show a BTC amount immediately when you click BTC...there is no BTC sales price. The conversion is automatic and after you've picked what you want to order and agreed to the USD price.
Sorry, they don't. You wanted a screenshot that there is a BTC price on the ivoice I was presented during check out. I gave it to you. You wanted an explanation how paying in BTC is different to paying for instance with GBP. I have explained it to you. I don't see what else can I do for you? BFL cheerleaders have their own agenda and no arguments matter!

I do not care what BFL will do with the BTC after I've sent them. I've no control on that and certainly this is BFL's choice what % of the BTC they want converted in USD and what % of currency exchange risk they want to bear?

You should probably contact your lawyer about that. And videotape the conversation.

I would pay good money to see that.

This thread would have much more traction if you'd stop plastering your name all over it like you're a telemarketer announcing the newest "TV Shopping Bitcoin Minirigs for YOUR HomeTM Buy one, get none."

Just saying.
It's called SEO Smiley

I call it denigrating the intended target of the thread. The thread as is seems not so much about BFL, but more about BRYAN MICON prosecuting BFL.

You know, we facepalm, but that's a big problem with BTC right there. Random Q. User has no idea about cryptography and what all those keys do and why you give out one and not the other and oh, I'd better give you both, I never know which one is which, all those numbers, haha, when I was young we didn't have so many numbers you know. numbers were shorter than, but it's the times I think everything get's more complex, oh so it worked thank you young man.

And there you have a recipe for disaster.

... and they made fools of themselves by showing an empty box (instead of prototype) at CES 2013 Wink Do not be childish....

What does that have to do with anything? CES is packed full of shit that doesn't work yet.

If everyone goes there with non working things, than its OK to do so? Most of the stuff at least works in some ways... Many company are proud to show even a not perfectly working prototype! How else do you attract new investors?

That's what I don't get. Why the hell not just stick some FPGAs in there, hook them up to the Nexus and go "It's an FPGA rig now, but we'll have ASICs soon." Much better than a box of fans and space(rs).

Or, heck, just take some PCBs, mount them (aside from the ASIC of course), glue some heatsinks on them and stick that in there. "It's not running yet, but boy will it be good when it's done". Nope, better show of a box of fans.

I guess there will be lots of refund requests in the following days once BFL customers read the new 'update'?

Nope. They are happy as can be.

Oh god, why did you revive this? Now we're going to have usagi going crazy again.

Answer to all three questions:

Nothing happened.

Don't worry. If the test fails, it'll only add another 4-6 weeks.

Timeline forgot to include shipment arrivals.

Also you notice how he keeps saying "as soon as we have everything nailed down" which means nothing is nailed down. Just more "just wait a little longer guys"

LOL!

Maybe send them a hammer?

Aaaaaand it's the middle of February. How unsurprising.
3672  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Butterfly Labs Rep at CES Showcase "ASICs" on: January 14, 2013, 01:09:53 AM
That's not an FPGA shell. The FPGA shell had cool velcro and hot glue inside..
3673  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BFL FAIL COMPILATION on: January 13, 2013, 10:35:55 PM
Pretty much, though with "BFL_Jody" posting this two days ago, I'm not sure what to expect:

Well, it's later this week and no engineer has told me anything. So that's my excuse for not having an update. I think it's reasonable. (Reasonable for me not to post an update--unreasonable for the engineer not to give me one.)
3674  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BFL FAIL COMPILATION on: January 13, 2013, 10:28:16 PM
Yeah, there was the whole FPGA disaster with the failing on delivery dates, promised hashing power and promised power usage.

I can only imagine the pain felt by those with pre-orders to see the man who runs this company act in such a way on the CES floor convention floor

They are actually celebrating his "triumph".

Always remember: Bitcoin is a religion, not a currency.
3676  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Butterfly Labs Rep at CES Showcase "ASICs" on: January 13, 2013, 06:58:32 PM
Nice ASIC empty case.

It's not empty. Please dont forget the 30000 $ Nexus 7.

Turns out I must apologize. The Box of Fans isn't a Box of Fans at all as this new picture shows

It's a box of fans and space(rs).

I'm sure she's been "on top" before, soooooooooo  Cheesy  Maybe that's the " authoritive postion" she's thinking of  Cheesy

Please grow older than 18. Thank you.
My opinion of the whole thing was.. you grow older untill you get 18. Then it kindof reverts slowly untill you're a demented 110 year old.

No, that's 30. Then you stagnate for 20 years, then you revert.
No, that's you noticing it at 30.
But the decay started the moment you stopped growing physically.
From then on you only grow in 'character' Smiley

That might be frightenengly true.  Sad

. read her words on gofundme...

Patrick

I read her own words on her own twitter. She is very obviously distressed with handling life in general. How would it help her children to be brought up in such an evironment?
