3661  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is a game of capital on: March 15, 2021, 10:14:27 PM
This is a game of luck, experience, and practice. When one invests in crypto then it become uncertainty. There is no guarantee to get back the money you invested so if you want to get profit then you should increase your involvement in the market, research on a market portfolio, increase awareness and don't hurry to take any decision.
Rather than luck it is all about the capital investment, because there are new launches that assure profit. In particular, people need to be aware about the different forms of pre-sale and other forms of marketing along with trading. Some new launch projects have assured payback of multiple profit, but people aren't able to invest. Because, it has the minimum investment capital to be $50k+ and this is where capital plays a role than the luck.
3662  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin/Crypto Carbon Tax? on: March 15, 2021, 09:47:02 PM
Maybe if the country find an increase in the carbon emission from mining of cryptocurrencies, then there is chance of imposing such taxes over the miners. This tax can't be collected from the Bitcoin holders. Mining being the backbone to the cryptocurrency network, when some tax is being collected from the miners, the same gets connected with the increase in the transaction fee. This way such taxes could affect the bitcoin usage.

However it is a difficult task to tax in such a way, because governments won't easily identify the small scale miners and people holding bitcoin.
3663  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fate or lack of control - Gambling on: March 15, 2021, 07:38:14 PM
If you believe in fate, be consistent in your attitude in that if you believe it is preset then you should also schedule your budget so it too is preset beforehand then if you win you did so in a way that was always going to happen.  If you run out of money then it was also too meant to be and there is no reason to extend beyond your planned expenditure, in this way believing in fate could be a positive attitude if you are able to be consistent in an approach.

Consistent in your strategy in gambling.

Winning is always our main goal and therefore we have to make a strategy that could help us consistently win, otherwise we are just wasting money if we are not having fun at all. Gambling should be treated like a serious job or a business, you invest on it, so manage it properly.

Fate is good if you do the right strategy, it's not if you are gambling irresponsibly, you just choose between the two.
The main motto is win, so everyone will be in-search of possible opportunities to make it happen. This is where we need to think of luck and fate in a combined manner. We could've made a good strategy that can give assured success, but it happens in the opposite way at the much important time of our gambling. This leads to lack of control and affect the entire calculation. So, if the fate is to win then even the failed strategy will bring success.
3664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: where the sounds of supporter comes from? on: March 15, 2021, 07:21:33 PM
These sounds are just the addition to the video. To give an excitement and visual involvement to the people watching the game these sounds were added. On some games audience were allowed and this can be seen on games that are being played with any audience on the ground. Earlier this was into discussion during the previous IPL season, because the matches were played with ZERO audience. At times these sounds seems to be unenjoyable, because we can feel it is an addition.
3665  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Charity for Gamblers on: March 13, 2021, 04:21:19 PM
Conclusion Smiley

1. Charity isn't suitable for gambling
2. Give awareness on massive losses and after consequences
3. Motivational and mental support is the possible solution to get rid of addiction
4. Never consider gambling a way to make money or multiply the money in the wallet
5. Gambling will be fun, until you win. So, you should have the mind to accept losses same as winning.
6. Try to learn all the impacts addiction can make in one's life before entering into it.

Thanks for all the suggestions relative to the thread.

Each and everyone here say, gamblers will further spend on gambling. So, this isn't the right way to do charity. However almost every user here are carrying a signature of a gambling site. Being loyal to them is good, but we also need to think of the one who is missing his life. Majority stated its their mistake and they're responsible for that. It is the truth with gambling, for the same mere advice and motivation alone isn't a solution to make him come out of the addiction.
Whatever the signature we may carry we do not get any pressure to use that money fro gambling. I do not see your point.
In this specific case, which is the same for you and me, if you find yourself having troubles managing your sig earnings withdraw them straight away. Having them on the site is a temptation for you? Put them on the vault or withdraw them.
Stake does not force you to use them. Smiley
Man, why are you taking Stake into the discussion. They are legit with their service. Everyone try to stay on the safer side. Even in the very first post I've mentioned about the vault and other features that help in keeping our earnings safer.

Everyone be clear, from the very first post I'm requesting you people for some sort of plans so that users who are into hard debts out of gambling can get rid of their debt and start a new life. Maybe the help done by us is very small, but this is something life saving. I've seen several gamblers on the urge of ending their lives after big losses. I don't say what we do will reach the right hands, but for sure it'll be a life saver for someone who is willing to have a new life.

Going through the post @mauser a new plan came to my mind. The Gamblers relief fund concept is really good. With this I wish to add few more features. We can have a Gamblers relief fund club. Gamblers need to enroll to the club, and everyone needs to pay monthly premium. So, when one has experienced a massive loss he can claim to the club. The club need to verify whether the claim is true and take further action. This seems to be fair than providing free money. When this is done with the support of escrow, surely it'll be a helpful service.

I don't think its feasible, because there will be too many fraud claims. Let's say, I have $1000. I make three bets at 2x and win two times and lose once. I am at a profit of $2000, yet I can just show the proof of that one lost bet to ask for the relief fund. Sites too have privacy laws, they just can't give away a user's profit/loss data to third parties to confirm if they indeed have lost. The way to help them to become debt free is not to give them cash directly but to pay to the people who they have taken money from and ask them not to lend money to this borrower ever again if they ask it for gambling purposes. Then again, it's really hard to help people online because of exploitations. That's why there should be offline organizations that can be established to help address this issue. Only my opinion though Smiley
I'm here mentioning the overall loss. Everyday we can't make a claim. Whats been stated above seems to be a claim for every single roll. This isn't possible, because this will get the user benefitted and the relief fund go bankrupt. We should have the claim provided only at specific time interval and not a regular claim.

I am really against supporting gamblers, it is like you are encouraging them to gamble some more instead of helping them to change their lives. There are a lot of people out there who are financially distressed who really need help, those who don't gamble. What problematic gamblers need is not financial help for them to cope-up with their losses, they need advice and support to overcome their addiction.
I'm also not supporting the gamblers, there are people who are financially stressed without getting into gambling. If we go in-search of such people, we'll see lots and lots living around us. I'm here to find and help the one who is part of the Bitcoin user community, particularly part of the bitcointalk. If I'm not wrong, Bitcointalk have got a large number of addicted gamblers who need help mentally and financially.
3671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Charity for Gamblers on: March 13, 2021, 08:19:23 AM
It might sounds strange to encourage gambling through this Charity, but my thinking is to give life and hope to overcome the financial stress which is the major reason behind the depression of gamblers. If someone is found losing $5k on gambling and is in frustration. We can support him financially providing $200. Please putforth your opinions and the right way to help Gamblers financially.
This would have been good, but we need to check the other side of it. Assuming I am gambler, I am addicted, I lost all, I borrowed, and I received a support fund. What do you think I will do with the fund? Most likely I will not yet pay my debt but use all or almost all the funds to gamble. Gambling can be so addicting at times, people need to check themselves, what will be best in this case is to just find ways to advice people to not use money they can not afford to lose to gamble, gambling should be for fun. I am so certain the support funds will be used for gambling, only advice is better for addicts so to correct them to gamble appropriately.
What can be done? From the quote it is clear that the aid provided will also gets wasted on gambling. We can't blame the gambling sites, because to keep the users within their own control different features like setting our own limits, vault and so many things are available. Even after this people losing in gambling is the true difficulty. Something need to be done at the earliest, or else we can see more people like me suffering out of financial depression. I wasn't able to think anything, my mind always thinks of making myself free from debt.
3672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Charity for Gamblers on: March 13, 2021, 07:59:05 AM
Myself got lucky several times, but I wasn't able to keep up the winning with proper exit strategy.

I would open a charity for you and all like-minded people to understand the concept of Expected Value.

Another thing, if I've kept all the earnings without gambling now I could've been debt free.

No, you couldn't. You could have less debt if you haven't gambled at all, but no, this story you are telling yourself is based on the fact that you do not understand the concept of Expected Value or Mathematical Expectation. I don't know if it's worth explaining it to you because I've tried it with other people and it goes in one ear and out the other. If I see interest I will explain it.

Man, if I haven't got into gambling I don't have a big expense to meet. With the earning I make I can happily lead my life. At some point accumulated little bitcoin and used into gambling with the mind of making money. I lost it, and further started to borrow and gamble to recover the loss. I won in recovering it, but the recovery I made gave hope of gambling further. This is where I started to loss big and end up with big debt. Every user have got different stories, you can't understand until you experience it personally. Also I suggest don't go for high rolls which is the major cause for the losses of mine.
3673  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Charity for Gamblers on: March 13, 2021, 07:54:38 AM
I've been thinking about such an idea for a long time, but the negative side is, once such type of funds are created, gamblers might just exploit it and psychologically take it as an added bonus only to boost their gambling addictions. I think we should surely help any gambler who's in debt financially only if he/she can show that they have quit gambling and done it for a long period of time, say 6 months without touching any gambling game. In that period they can save their own money too. This idea can only be applicable offline because that's the way to verify if the person is still gambling or not. It hurts to see people in debt, and I myself once was in huge debt, but the only way to avoid it is to completely get rid of the addiction
Agreed on your statement, here the gambling sites have a big responsibility and they need to take it into consideration. When it comes to money, everyone is eager to get it. So, it isn't the mistake of the common man. Getting into addiction is a part and is due to lack of control. When gambling sites create an authorised service, automatically these sites can confirm whether the person has lost big or not and based on the confirmation statement help can be provided to the respective Gamblers.

Myself got lucky several times, but I wasn't able to keep up the winning with proper exit strategy. Another thing, if I've kept all the earnings without gambling now I could've been debt free. Now myself was into big debt, and I've requested the help of different people. None were there to help me. At some point I even thought of ending the life, because it isn't an easy thing for a common man to overcome a debt of $50k. My mind says the life is given by God and you don't have the right to end it. With this philosophy I'm running forward. Even now I'm spending my earnings on gambling and standing empty handed.

Now my mind always thinks of people who are same as me. I need to support them, which means financially. For this what are the ways to collect funds and give it to the right ones in need.

It might sounds strange to encourage gambling through this Charity, but my thinking is to give life and hope to overcome the financial stress which is the major reason behind the depression of gamblers. Yes man, the support team has responded in a hard way. Issues arise with every gambling platform, and it is the responsibility of the support team to give clarification. In one way the gambling site authorities have got the rights to make any changes, because we do agree for it and using the service. While doing so they should know how to make make things on the right way. Now this mistake from the support team has affected a negative impression and the same easily gets spread.

Anyhow you haven't got any issues with withdrawal, find other trusted platforms for your gambling needs. You've got lot many gambling sites with cryptocurrency acceptance.
3676  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fate or lack of control - Gambling on: March 11, 2021, 08:46:23 PM
Are you guys trying to predict what's the outcome of your play in gambling especially in dice?

AFAIK none of us can make a certain guess but you can do some martingale strategy if you wish to make your fate more challenging but the risk is also high. Well, high risk is equal to high return too if luck is in your favor and if your only problem is how to control yourself from betting and betting even if you win already, I think you have to make a strategy after winning—an exit strategy.

And also bring money only that you can afford to lose and don't let emotions get into you even if you win or lose, small or big, never ever let emotions get into you.
I've started this thread only after trying out the martingale strategy. Myself had around $680 worth of bitcoin. Started with a bet value of $1 with roll above 50.50 which gives a 2X on win. At the end the bet value of mine was $64. Myself encountered a continuous losing streak of $32 for three rolls. This made me get back the lost amount and the same made me double the bet value. Further I got a win on the roll and consecutive three more roll loss of $64. So in a very short time period $680 got emptied.
3677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 11, 2021, 05:54:02 PM
@Stedsm this is a hilarious series to be honest, but I’m enjoying it more than watching the IPL and I hope going ahead they’ll arrange more such series for us. Also Dilshan was an outstanding batsman when he used to play for Srilanka, and lastly even I was surprised that he hasn’t lost his touch despite not playing competitive cricket for a very long time now.

Well, while I watched their highlights online, came to know how spectacularly Upul Tharanga played a 99 not out (felt bad for him as it was just 1 run left for his century, but still what a game). It'll be awesome to watch India Legends vs South Africa Legends and I'm more interested in watching the game of trio of Sachin, Sehwag and Yuvraj.
The match will be very interesting, because Sehwag is already in good form. In his previous match against West Indies have helped chase 150 scoring 74 runs in 57 balls. South Africa Legends vs India Legends match will be a close call, because both teams have highly experienced and skilled players who have got the ability to turn the match towards any direction unlike the match situation.
3678  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will NFT bring any change in crypto gambling industry? on: March 11, 2021, 05:12:41 PM
This will appeal more to serious collectors on the trading card niche. I'm pretty sure the gambling industry will find some uses on NFT given the idea is quite fitting and complementary on some of the aspects of the industry. Though the potential is there, the hype around NFTs on other markets/industries IMO would not be carried towards the gambling scene.
NFT has been marking a big change through its potential usage on the collectibles. The same process can't be used with gambling platform. NFT to get used on the gambling industry is quite low, even if it is used we can't find anything innovative with the NFT.
3679  Economy / Gambling discussion / Fate or lack of control - Gambling on: March 11, 2021, 03:14:20 PM
Some used to pacify themselves with the term it is their fate to loss in gambling. Some say it is the lack of control that makes them loss big. Here I'm taking this into discussion relative to the game - Dice.

Same as this some used to mention winning as fate and some term the same as luck. I believe win out of dice is trick, and right exit strategy.

What is the truth in this regard, because users like me are always go lack of control even when luck is on our side. End of the day used to pacify thyself terming it as our fate and move on. Hope you guys don't do this mistake. Cry Cry
3680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: People die from heart attack when they hit the jackpot. on: March 11, 2021, 02:52:16 PM
You can say that but if our destiny is to die because of winning the jackpot, we can not do anything. People can die in any situation without us knowing how long our life, so I think it is not surprising if that person dies because of getting a heart attack.

You can try to be fit, but you should remember, dead will take our life without knowing we are fit or not. The only one that we can do is trying to healthy.
I guess that means you believe in predestination. I don't. Our life is not written when we're born, there's no higher power pulling the strings, there's no fate.
If you die of a heart attack after winning, it means you had a weak heart that you did not take care of. You should work out, eat healthy and if it's already too late for that, medicate and visit a cardiologist once a year. That person who dies killed by a train is not predestined to die but not careful enough.
I believe that our life is written when we're born. We can only do our life with the best thing that we can, even if we make a mistake already written in that book.

Many ways that we can do to have a strong heart which can help us to have a healthy life. I agree that eat healthy food and doing a good thing can give us a healthy life too. But when we die because of a heart attack, no one will know for sure, not because of anything. Sometimes we hear about a person who has a healthy life, but he dies suddenly without any cause.

Sad true! There are times that people died even they've value their life.

Even they are doing all the things that's needed to keep up a healthier life. That's the very reason why we can't  promise our tomorrow as we don't know if we still alive till then, those who died with heart attack after knowing  that they won the winning combo not all of them have the history of this disease, it's just came out after the attack happened right?
People's lives are already written, and we should live day by day. Even if we really carefully with our lives and try to pass day by day, we can not avoid something that might come to us, good or bad, including death. And death will not compromise with our situations and conditions, and even if we win on that gambling games, our lives can end and death by winning on the jackpot, and we can not avoid it.

That heart attack came out after the winning, so maybe that person feels too happy and causes a heart attack.
Whats been stated in the above post is about fate. As per my view heart attack happens as a result of unexpected happiness or sadness. I haven't felt the heart attack, but my heart pounds high and high whenever I keep on losing. Even few minutes back I experienced it, but I wasn't able to stop inbetween. I can feel I was in the losing streak, but I wasn't able to stay in control. This way at times I feel everything is fate and at times it is completely our mistake.
