3661  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you find it offensive to be referred to as an addicted gambler? on: June 22, 2023, 08:04:58 AM
Many people find it difficult to accept who they are and the bad habits that they have, accepting a habit is the first step that will determine if any help offered to you will work. As a gambler, will you find it offensive if you are referred to as a gambling addict? will you easily accept it or try to give excuses like some other people do, saying that they are not addicted to gambling when the signs are clearly there. Do you think identifying as an addicted gambler will make people stereotype you. The answer is different for every gambler here.

Being a gambler you'll already get stereotype  by the society therefore admitting that you're an addict to them you're putting yourself at a more disadvantage. What will admitting to them that you're gambling addict do to you or will it help you stopped been addicted.

You should only speak to a professional about your gambling problem as they are the  ones that can help you. People will only make fun of your problem when you tell them. They might put you into depression if you're the type that gets easily depressed because if what people say.

I'll find it offensive if I get stereotype as an addict which I'll never be because I gamble with my sense and not emotion. Already I get mad when I'm been referred to as a gambler that's why I keep to myself and only prefer online casino over traditional casinos.
3662  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who is to be blamed, the gambler or the betting agent on: June 21, 2023, 08:37:38 AM
Question is:

What is the possibility of the betting agent getting his money soon/considering the gambler's low-income earnings?

Before answering your question, I have some few words to say. Both the gambler and the bet shop owner are at fault here. For the gambler, why will he be playing with borrowed money when he should know that winning when gambling isn't a guarantee as anything can go wrong.

For the bet shop owner, why will he let a customer gamble on credit, it doesn't matter how you know the customers you should never allow them gamble on credit because you'll be contributing to the customer depression when they lose all the money. We have cases like that that have ended in suicide.

Without a high paying job, how do they expect the gambler to repay the loan. He has to eat and take care of other bills therefore he can't work for four days straight without getting paid. He won't do the job effectively and you'll be putting the quality of your building at risk if you don't pay him.
3663  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why People Still Gamble? on: June 21, 2023, 08:25:06 AM
We don't see gambling as something bad that can destroy your future unless you are addicted to it. I think the country you are in is not pro-gambling, which is why they kind of criticize it. Also, one of the reasons why they still continue to gamble is that they are either trying out their luck so that if they win big, they can change their lives; the second is for fun as the feeling of playing in a casino is unexplainable; and the third is that they are addicted to it and can't control or stop themselves from playing it.

Many countries that aren't friendly to gambling is because the citizens of the country are getting addicted to gamble and the governments needed to do something fast to prevent this form spreading, others aren't friendly because if religious teaching of gambling been bad.

Gambling for fun isn't high as majority are gambling because they're trying their luck looking for life changing wins. And also because they're addicted and won't stop even when they're losing badly. Gambling has its good and bad side si it's left for you to choose which side you're on.

Gambling isn't a bad thing, people who abuse it by getting addicted are those who make it look bad. You can win and lose when gambling, you don't have to win in every bet and that's fine as that doesn't make it a bad thing. Gambling is a business and they need losses to keep operating.
3664  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Bitcoin market is back on track on: June 21, 2023, 08:16:39 AM
We will always have the idea that Bitcoin will reach 100,000. It is a process and we can experience many different things in this process. But he will eventually reach the goal. Then it will rise even higher.

$100,000 will be reached in the upcoming Bitcoin bull market but it's not happening this year or next year, if we predict based on the history Bitcoin will surpassed the previous all time high and create a new one, $100,000 is the closest price the market will reach at the minimum.

The volatility of the market is expected because Bitcoin is been traded 24 hours in a day and we don't expect a market that's active 24 hours in a day to stay stable. If that happens then it means the market is been controlled which can't be possible with Bitcoin been decentralized.

The market has already turned green and only those that panicked and sold without buying back during the correction are the ones that'll regret in the future. Whenever there's dip in the market that causes bitcoin to fall, we should not panic as Bitcoin will always get back on track.
3665  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: June 21, 2023, 08:02:37 AM
Some women don't like it when they make loses that is why I see them as u fit to be a good gambler. A gambler must be ready to take responsibility of their own actions and ready to bear the consequences they receive from making careless betting. If we as a gambler is not ready to take our responsibility then that miss gambling is not for us. Women are normally seen as a responsible beings and having them going into gambling fulling can be very challenging because that is not what there nature is built for. They are normally not seen as a dedicated gamblers.

I think this isn't just about woman but everybody doesn't like it when they make loses. It pains the man the more as they know how they worked so hard for the money they used for gambling hoping to win so they can double their money and use it for other important things.

Women on the other hand get their money from man, could be their father, boyfriends or husband. If they lose that money, they're not getting angry because they worked for it but because they knew they could have used the money for other things that they consider important like shopping.

Woman aren't naturally risk takers that's why they don't love gambling much, they might do it for the leisure and entertainment but to make it a source of income is never an option. Woman are more responsible than man and gambling contradict that act of been responsible.
3666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling or gaming sites on: June 21, 2023, 07:50:33 AM
Has anyone known and played at these sites? Do let me how was their experience and what sort of games are there ?
Are they pure gambling sites or a mixture of gambling and gaming sites ? Although you need coins to play at these sites and you can redeem the winning coins into fiat money.

I haven't used those sites you listed but I know of gaming sites that you can also use them for gambling. They're usually fun to use and it isn't any different from gambling. You get the same feeling when you use casinos to gamble, the games are usually limited that's one disadvantage.

They're a mixture of both gaming and gambling, you can use the sites just to play games if you love playing game and you can also decide to use the sites for gambling. They serve all purpose but if you're the type that enjoy gambling with majority of options then those sites aren't for you.

The coins aren't cryptocurency, they have their inbuilt system that offers coins that you can convert to fiats, when you hear coins on a gaming platform or gambling website, it doesn't necessary mean it's cryptocurency although we have those using cryptocurency as well.
3667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: June 18, 2023, 08:52:46 AM
Stereotypically, gender is also cited as one of the reasons why people like to gamble. One of the research findings shows that women tend to prefer percentage-odds-based games and men tend to prefer skill-based games.

I think I agree with the research because most women that I know that gambles are interested in percentage odds games. They always feel they can win because they're lucky and sometimes it favors them and they win but other times it doesn't go in their favor but still they love chance games.

While the guys prefer to let their skills and the knowledge they have about the sport help them win the bets and I believe that's why many men are into sport betting because they have a higher percentage of winning since they understand the game very well and know who might win.

The percentage of woman betting on sport games are small instead they're interested in games like slots that everyone has the same percentage or chance of winning like because you don't need skills to win this type of gamble but some women still like sport betting.
3668  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good time to invest in BTC? on: June 18, 2023, 08:20:12 AM
Indeed, predicting the price of bitcoin is very difficult. Anything can happen in the crypto market. However, while nothing is certain, I don't think bitcoin is likely to drop below $18k again. Moreover, if it is in accordance with the 4-year cycle, next year there will be a halving. Where usually before the halving the price of bitcoin tends to go up and down more stable and not to fall like last year.

It isn't always difficult when you understand the market due to your years of experience trading the cryptocurency market. Predicting the exact price that Bitcoin will be trading at a particular time becomes difficult as that's almost impossible due to different exchange trading Bitcoin.

Predicting the movement of the market can be done, Example, after the US SEC filed a lawsuit against some of the very known exchanges in the industry, it was inevitable that the market will react and the price of Bitcoin will start falling and it'll affect altcoins as well.

We're still in a bear market and any news that's bad for the cryptocurrency market will affect the price of all crypto, Bitcoin included just as it has happened even when the lawsuit wasn't against those exchange trading Bitcoin but directly targeted at altcoins that are security.
3669  Economy / Gambling / Re: No bet is a waste on: June 18, 2023, 08:03:20 AM
well, even though OP is active on the forum and posting regularly he has stopped updating this thread with the game predictions, I suppose he must have realized that he was getting a lot more wrong than getting his game predictions right, it's not easy, in fact it becomes mission impossible to get constant hits in the games every day, most of the time we are faced with the worst of the worst scenarios which are the consecutive losses and bankruptcy of our bankroll and this is expected to happen but we all only realize it later many long years of playing

This means contrary to what the OP said that no bet is a waste, there are some bets that are just a waste of your time and resources. Some of the bet are betting on friendly matches which I don't understand why people bet on them because they're just friendly and not serious games.

It is impossible for anyone to always win when we bet that's why we are advice to only use spare money whenever we want to gamble so if anything was to go wrong and we lose the money we don't go broke or go broke trying to recover our losses through revenge gambling.

We should always strategize about anything that has to do with making money including gambling not just investing so you don't waste the little money you have trying to make more money. You don't have to bet on everything you come across, always strategize.
3670  Economy / Gambling / Re: Without money, does it still qualify as gambling? on: June 18, 2023, 07:41:25 AM
If you can win money even without putting money at first then I think yes it can qualify as gambling
Depends on the game too
Poker as an example can be played to make money and won’t be qualified as gambling but as a skill game

On the other hand I wouldn’t be so sure to define something as gambling if you can’t lose money

Without money been at stake it doesn't qualify as gambling because we have so many activities that people can participate in and they're organized by companies for the purpose of promoting their brand. In such activities, you can win cash prizes and you weren't gambling

Some companies organized a lottery system for their customers and they can win by buying more goods from their shopes or making use of the service that he companies are offering. Then they can randomly select winners by using some criteria and gifting them prizes.

I support your thoughts of it been gambling when you can lose money which means there has to be money stakes by one or two persons for you to be able to lose it. Anything that has money stakes can be classified as gambling, you might be playing with another person or computer.
3671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Categories of Unrealistic Sports Betting Expectations on: June 18, 2023, 05:34:48 AM
We encounter different categories of sports bettors every day, both online and offline. However, some of them express unrealistic expectations regarding their potential winnings.

The first category is composed of sports bettors with a $1000 bankroll who hope to make $100,000 by the end of the year. In what universe do they think this is possible? Such expectations are unrealistic and only occur in the lottery, not in sports betting. Even in sports betting, it would be a chance occurrence, happening only once in every 100 bets. A more realistic expectation would be to aim for increasing their bankroll.

This is very realistic and some gamblers has been able to do this before. Maybe if you said from $1000 to $1million then that's when some doubt would had come in because that's looking very impossible although not saying it isn't achievable, some gamblers has luck on their side.
.
Using compounding any gambler that's very knowledgeable in sport betting and also has luck on his side can turn $1000 to $100,000. If he could double his wins every weekend, it won't take him more than six month to be able to reach $100,000 considering some lose in some weekends.

I don't think there's any unrealistic amount of profits to be made in betting, it might be unrealistic to you when you limit your mind to what's possible. Gambling is all about been lucky and we have those that their luck has given them life changing money.
3672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Friendly Match is Hard to Predict on: June 17, 2023, 10:09:03 PM
I just lost 3 Friendly Match last week ago, and all match results draw Grin,

I don't know why a strong team like German and Morocco didn't play seriously when meet in a friendly match. this will be noted and experienced in the future, So if you are bet in a friendly match, be careful to bet, don't look at how strong that team and squad, just look and be brave to bet in a draw. This is just my opinion, not always all friendly matches result for draw, but with my 3 last bets, I have a thing to bet 70% in the draw.

how about you?

I don't bet on friendly matches, they're friendly match which means players will not be playing with all their strength and determination to win the game that's why it usually ends in draw or both side scoring so much goals. Friendly shouldn't be taken seriously or bet on.

Players are very cautious to avoid getting injuried or injuring the other players so they play soft which is why friendly always have unexpected outcome and the weaker team might win the stronger team although when it's a competitive match, the stronger team wins.

Friendly are like advanced training and I watch them just for entertainment and not to bet on them. I'll prefer playing virtual games that my possibility of winning is very low than betting on a friendly match that both teams are just training for other important matches.
3673  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto experienced bloodshed on: June 17, 2023, 10:01:22 PM
Binance will not experience the same thing as FTX, after all the two exchanges face different problems and their solutions will be different too. So you don't need to worry about equating the two for every problem they face because the case experienced by FTX is clear and the problems faced by Binance are also clear. And stock exchanges like Binance itself are also sure to be able to solve their own problems in a wise enough way even though the one at issue is Binance which operates in America.

The current lawsuit might not affect Binance globally so it won't end up as FTX did. FTX borrowed investors money and used it for investment that wasn't profitable to them when they sold that investment and I think one of them would be Luna because many invested in the project.

Luna and other coins that dumped to zero cause FTX to not have money to pay their customers using their exchange and when Binance threatened to sell all the tokens they had, the market panicked and started dumping FTT coins which lead to a nore dump of FTT tokens.

Binance exchange has more integrity and customers so I don't think they're using their customers funds for investing in newly launched projects. They're very strategic with their investment as they only invest in project that'll succeed and make them more profits.
3674  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: would you play more on casino when your country plans to ban BTC? on: June 16, 2023, 09:14:34 PM
while your country plans to ban crypto trading but online gambling legal, you'll gonna to decide what to do with coins.  would you go play your coins to accumulate or just withdraw and wait for the government to change stance?  no other option.

If you're not a gambler then you don't have to gamble because if you do so, you might become addicted or possibly lose all your coins to the casino. Your government might ban Bitcoin but not forever because in the future, the government will reverse their laws to unban Bitcoin.

Instead of gambling your coins, I'll advise you keep holding it, it'll increase in price in the future and you can sell your coins. If Bitcoin becomes illegal in your country, there'll still be ways which you can sell your Bitcoin and get yourself out of this situation that you're in.

You can also sell your coins through peer 2 peer transactions and the government can't ban decentralized transaction. They can only attack centralized exchange through their laws but not decentralized exchanges so don't gamble your coins instead hold them
3675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Big is the online gambling industry today? on: June 16, 2023, 09:24:10 AM
Online casinos is getting more attention of gamblers today because the whole world is rotating round about the advanced digital technology and people are finding it very easy to go along with this in gambling because the gamblers can through the comfortability of their mobile phone device lauch into any gambling platform and enjoy the experience with gambling without having any barrier to gambling.

Online casino began gaining popularity more during the pandemic and after the pandemic people stick to online casino and that's why they're gaining more attention. People like been comfortable and online casino offers that since we can access their platforms from our phones.

Without the pandemic I don't think we would had recorded the level of interest we're seeing in online casinos. People always thought they'll get cheated if they use online casino but the pandemic give people no options but to use them and they actually enjoyed using them.

Online gambling will keep increasing in popularity as more casino are been launched online and already established transitional casino begin to build their online presence to appeal to the new generation of gamblers that prefer online gambling platforms to traditional physical casino.
3676  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling addiction causes ear deafness? on: June 15, 2023, 10:02:00 AM
It's easier to get addicted to online gambling, but I recently met someone who said that he isn't even aware that he was an addict until his blood brother told him that he is going too deep into gambling.

For some people gambling is their last hope and they have seen others make it from gambling so they have deaf ears when you want them to stop. If they stop gambling today they will have no other sources of income and they won't know that they're getting addicted.

I have experience of advising people against reducing the way they gamble and they did and also other experiences of advising addicts yet they seem not to hear. I think those that are still early into the addiction will respond to your advise than those that are deep into the addiction.

If you try helping an addict and they responded negatively doesn't mean you should stop trying to help them. Addiction is very hard to breakout from so you can get the person professional help and hopefully it helps to reduced the money and time he use for gambling.
3677  Economy / Speculation / Re: Time to Hodl or buy the Dip? on: June 15, 2023, 09:46:46 AM
When talking about bitcoin, I will definitely say "yes", because bitcoin is the most popular cryptocurrency and the price of bitcoin is currently relatively low and very suitable for long-term investment. but when talking about "dip" I also want to recommend MATIC because in yesterday's price drop the price of MATIC dropped dramatically compared to bitcoin and other big atcoins, so I think this is the right time to buy MATIC.

Matic price dip more than other altcoins because it's among one the tokens been targetted by SEC. I will stay away from buying it because the price might dip further. I don't think the correction is over, we might see more dips if Bitcoin retest $20,00 before month ending.

During time of heavy bloodbath in the market, it's no wise to buy altcoins because you don't know if they'll dip further or be able to recover from the dip. Altcoins rely on Bitcoin which means if bitcoin was to continue falling then altcoins will follow as well.

Although this isn't the altcoins board to discuss other cryptocurrency that isn't bitcoin but still we can make mention of them in discussion. Therefore I don't see any problem with what the op did by making mention of matic but I won't invest in it not at this moment particularly.
3678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another side of Sports betting you may not know about on: June 14, 2023, 09:52:20 AM
There are many cases in sports betting and especially in football, sometimes there is fixing the score in every game so that we can lose because we chose the wrong club with the seed, that's why I'm more interested in sports betting in the big league and never betting on the minor leagues because it usually happens a lot. fraud in it and many people who do business like that.

Also in the big league, there is match fixing but it's not as common as we have in smaller league that isn't getting much attention therefore the officials can decide to do anything they like and won't get punished. In some games you'll notice how poor the players play.

Those type of game always ends in a draw but one of the teams should have been the favorite as they're stronger and more in form than the other team although since they shared point, the both teams don't lose and they're comfortable with the way the match ended.

Match fixing is a problem in sport all over the world and while some are very obvious others are done in a way it'll be very hard to noticed that the game was already fixed to be draw so both teams can shared the point to get an advantage over other teams in the league or tournament.
3679  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why People Still Gamble? on: June 14, 2023, 09:27:08 AM
These are just some of the reasons why some people still gamble in gambling. But all in all, everything that is too much does not make the result good in the end, and just a reminder that gambling is not really good for children and even for adults when they are addicted to it, it is not good either, so just gamble moderately must.

Underage gambling is becoming a big problem in America and the rest part of the world, children shoudn't be allowed to gamble and parents have to watch their children to make sure they're not gambling with their phones or visiting casinos with their friends with fake IDs.

The main reason people are gambling is because of your second reason, they're looking for life changing money but they don't stop even when they get those life changing money. People are naturally greedy so they want to make more money to impress those around them.

Everyone wants that expensive lifestyle that become the envy of others this is why those that win big while gambling easier lose all their money by buying things they think they need but they don't although before they realize this, they're already in huge debit or loses.
3680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't gamble if you don't have patience on: June 14, 2023, 09:16:49 AM
Easy to say, but with online gambling you simply have the opportunity to bet quickly and therefore win (or lose, of course) money quickly. I think there are few players who can muster the discipline to watch a game quietly. And what will you do if you have lost a significant amount of money gambling? I don't think you have much patience and want to win back this loss at the end of the month. I think that you do everything you can to earn back this money as quickly as possible, so it is very understandable and also the characteristic of a gambler to have little patience in certain situations.

You should always have patience, It doesn't matter what you're doing it could be gambling or any other activities but always have patience because rushing will only get you the money quickly but you can't keep the money as it'll also go as quick as it came because you're not prepared.

When gambling, if you lose don't try to win back your losses just stop gambling for that day or you'll end up losing more money. Revenge gambling is one the main reason gamblers lose more than they planned on spending in the casinos therefore that shouldn't be practice.

To become a professional gambler, you have to be disciplined and have some patience, gambling is luck but not every game will you bet on because knowing how to spot the best odds will help you alot and increase your wins. Instant withdrawal on casino are necessary though.
