Floyd won another exhibition match in Japan,

Sometimes I ask myself, could this be possible if Japan mafia uses such fight for money laundering. I mean it is obvious that Floyd would win and his opponent is a complete mismatch. Paying such huge rewards for few minutes sparring? I bet Floyd did not even train for that fight.

Good question, and it makes me wonder as well where are they going the money from?

Accusations have once again hindered head of RIZIN, Nobuyuki Sakakibara.

The official reason is unclear, but Karaev Paul reported that Sakakibara mentioned tabloids from May – that has accused him of being linked to organized crime – as a possible reason for losing the deal.

This accusations have been mostly in the media, but so far no evidences have surfaced. But then again, it's boils down to the question, that there could be ties but it's hard to proved.

Floyd is getting $20-$30 million per fight deal with Rizin.

3663  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why have so many platforms delisted Polygon tokens? on: September 25, 2022, 11:01:52 PM
Binance for once has been delisting/listing Polygon for the last couple of months.

https://www.binance.com/en/support/announcement/ffa74b47e870477a80deacee1fcab727

And probably the same reasons as others, there is a network issues so they have to delist them temporarily.

Perhaps they are also doing some schedule maintenance and upgrades, the usual for any projects. And in any case, there will be a announcement if ever there is a permanent delisting by exchanges to give time for users to withdraw or move their funds around.
3664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 25, 2022, 10:26:25 PM
I’m looking forward to seeing how Ben Simmons fits in with Kyrie and KD.

Everyone is so excited about Simmons, Kyrie and KD.
Last season I expected Ben Simmons to play, but he didn't play in any games.
Let's see how it will be this season for the Brooklyn Nets.  I hope they will be champions this year.

Everyone is looking forward for this 3 to play, remember that there have been a lot of personal issues in them. KD wanted out, Kyrie's so-so performance and his non vaccine stance causing him to missed a lot of games, Simmons coming from the brutal divorce from Sixers.

And so there is speculation that they might not click, but we can only judge them once they played together healthy this season.

Also, Kahwi has started training and his form is very good, and I am very hopeful of him this year.

I think he has been training for months now, or at least when his doctor says that he can go back at it. Just now that we have seen some videos and picture of his, specially on how he developed his quads, to make it stronger and to help him prevent another series lower leg injuries.
3665  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can i get banned for Card Counting in online casinos? on: September 25, 2022, 09:59:05 PM
Card counting in online casinos have been eliminated, it's because the deck of every card is shuffle. Meaning at any given time, it's just one deck of cards and after that, a new one is introduced and then shuffle again.

Unlike in landbase casinos wherein there is 8, 10, or 12 shoes of card. And so card counters can do their thing because the card is continuous or in succession. The question is why it is not implemented if they can eliminate card counters or readers? It might be tedious though for the dealer and the casino itself in the long run because the profit will be lessen if the dealer is going to shuffle every round. So just imagine the money that they are going to lose every hour. But in online, it's just easy for the developers to create this logic and include it in the program.
3666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 23 on: September 25, 2022, 09:44:50 PM
Thanks to everyone again who keep this thread a live with their insights and predictions. And mostly everyone got it right based on the poll.

And it was a good homecoming fight for Shakur, he didn't win by knockout by it was a dominating fight.

And to summarized, he won thru the judges scorecard  The official scores were 118-108, 117-109 and 117-109. He wasn't able to make the weight limit though, so he was stripped of his WBC/WBO belt. And he will be moving up in weight in his next fight, So he will at 135 lbs, and this division is pretty stock up.

3668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] The Heavyweight Battle of Britain - FURY vs JOSHUA on: September 25, 2022, 08:59:07 PM
Coming from 2 big losses, yes Joshua's days are numbered, just one more fight that we have been demanded before, even prior to Fury making a comeback, and that is the fight between Wilder and Joshua. And if this fight is going to be made, and if by chance Joshua won, then maybe he can still fight and cash in.

Why his days will be numbered? He can always fight second rate fighters. Joshua has a big name in boxing, a lot of boxers will want to face him. Of course his rewards wont be as huge as they are now, but still. He will only loose popularity. Like Bronze Bomber aka Wilder. In 3 weeks he is having a fight against Robert Helenius and nobody on this forum gives much care about it Cheesy

I quite agree that Joshua's days at the top are done. The losses and even the emotional breakdown right after the fight are a big sign that his career is now facing its end. Of course, he could continue fighting second-rate fighters. But the truth is that he's not anymore an elite fighter. But, yes, a lot of fighters would still want to face him and it's because he'd serve as a great stepping stone and he'd also be giving his opponent a bigger paycheck.

Yes and it maybe true that the media or Eddie Hearn build Fury and his career and everyone buys on that idea. But know that he is obviously exposed as not in the level of elite fighters and his mentally has change his he tastes his first defeat against the hands of Andy Ruiz, his aura of invincibility has been shattered.

Not sure though if he be a stepping stone because I haven't seen any young Heavyweight boxers coming up in ranks. But he will be just a second rate boxers, Usyk has taken his soul already.
3669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My worst day in gambling on: September 25, 2022, 08:42:16 PM
Yes, I gamble in my high school days, but I never encounter this kind of situation though, gambling tuition fees, but I can feel you. There are really circumstances in our life that suddenly change and beyond our control. And if we including gambling, and used the money that it's supposed to be used on other situation, then the problem arises. I think for me the worst is just gambling all the money that I earn when I had job, after payday I would go run to any landbased casinos and going home empty. Think about 2 works of hard work going into drain in less than an hour and you don't know what to do next because you don't have money in your pocket when you go home. How can you cope with the basic necessities like food and then you have to pay the bills? It's just really stressful and everyone should learn from these kind of mistakes and not get addicted.
3670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Fernando Martinez vs Jerwin Ancajas rematch - Oct.8 on: September 25, 2022, 08:27:04 PM
^ He might be a slight underdog, but for me it's better if he will be a huge underdog here, so that it's a win-win situation for Ancajas supporters in terms of bet  Grin.

And maybe if he knows that he become the underdog here, it could added a extra motivation for him, some fuel to the fire and think that he really have to show up and be the champion again. A knock out win will be good. But if it doesn't come, and at the end of the fight he is declared the winner then nothing is going to affect on how we look at it. But it shouldn't be a boring fight (although Filipinos are not known to run, we are all warriors), and then we will see what will his next move is.
3671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Jamaine Ortiz - October 29 on: September 25, 2022, 03:54:38 PM
Really? Didn't heard that Loma was actually making some excuse on why he lost that fight, I respect Loma because of what he is and he is viewed as big brother in lightweight division but he should know to give credits too because Lopez did good from that fight. He may have injury that time or not, Lopez still won the fight and that can't be changed no matter what the excuse is.

I wouldn't say that he made excuses, but right after the fight, he claimed that he had injured his shoulders. So if you watch the fight closely, you will notice that something is off with Loma that night. And he is not throwing as he used to be but just quite contented by playing defense early, from rounds 1-6, in which Lopez has built a good lead from the judges scorecard. And then started his really late in round 7 and by that time, he needs a knockout to win, but unfortunately he can't because there is no power because of his shoulder injury. So we give credit to Teo Lopez for winning.

So in preparation for this fight, Inoue taps Filipino Arthur Villanueva as his main sparring partner,

JAPANESE superstar Naoya Inoue taps the services of former world title challenger Arthur Villanueva as one of his main sparring partners for his upcoming unification bout with Paul Butler in December.

The 33-year-old Villanueva will join Inoue’s camp in Japan on Oct. 5 and will be training with the No. 2 pound-for-pound king for a month.

https://ph.news.yahoo.com/inoue-taps-villanueva-sparring-partner-111000488.html

I'm not surprised though, he is known or at least his camp wants Filipino as his sparring partner because they know that Pinoys are very tough. And this might sound strange, but Japanese and Filipino boxer promoters are very close that they are willing to lend each other fighters if they needed them.

Floyd won another exhibition match in Japan,

Quote
The 45-year-old Mayweather dropped Asakura just before the bell sounded to end the second round. He tried to get up, but the southpaw couldn’t quite beat referee Kenny Bayless’ count before it reached 10.

Mayweather won in the main event of a Rizin pay-per-view show at Saitama Super Arena.

https://www.boxingscene.com/floyd-mayweather-drops-stops-mikuru-asakura-end-2nd-round-exhibition--169302

So another mismatch fight for Floyd and another easy money for him as he knock out Asakura in the second round.

Take note that Manny is amongst the crowd though, so maybe after his match against a South korean and then against his former sparring partner, he might go to Japan as well like Floyd and fight.
3674  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 25, 2022, 01:54:27 PM
Yes and throughout the NBA's history, there are a lot of sex scandals, involving the players themselves. Who will forget about Kobe's infamous case here? and I think it causes him his Adidas or Nike contract. Nevertheless, he continue to play and become a legend.

It's just the times though, I'm also not updated on the rules whether written or not about coaches and their affairs. I guess the sticking point is that he is married, which make it worst and Boston franchise are not going to tolerate it.

They made the right action already, it's only a suspension but I'm pretty sure he will not return anymore because he knows he made a serious offense. he is a great coach, so he can still find a team to play with but in a different league.

Yes, but most likely he can never go back to coach the Celtics as it really ruined his reputation and maybe no one will hire him in the NBA because of this issues.

@Swordsoffreedom - not sure how this is pre planned, investigation starts in July when there are also noises and then the management hire a independent 3rd party to be unbiased and this is the result of the investigation. So everything was done by the book, the way I see it.
3675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Twitch To Ban Gambling Streaming By October 18th. on: September 25, 2022, 01:38:32 PM
Link to the official announcement
Link to publish news: https://remitano.com/home/ng/post/105248-twitch-to-ban-crypto-gambling-livestreams-after-backlash-from-influencers

What do you guys think of this development?
According to the published article, the reason for the ban is due to backlash they(Twitch) received from influencers.

Do you think backlash received from influencers is enough reason for Twitch to ban gambling streaming on their platform?

From what I read from the link above, I was made to understand that this ban that Twitch intends on these gambling sites, is due to the role which they claim Twitch influencers play in making people become addicted to crypto gambling due to live-streaming hosted by these casinos, which to me is equally not enough reason why they should ban these casinos, because a person who will gamble will still gamble not minding if its ban on twitch or not because if twitch doesn't offer this service anymore, people will be glad to move over to an alternative platform that does, likewise.

I guess it's an open debate though, just like when TV started decades ago, and then there are groups saying that it influence their kids etc. So this is the same case here, the only difference is that there are targeting a certain audience, which is the gamblers. However, we all know that we can't control who is watching and so there is a backlash and then the subsequent ban by Twitch. Of course, everyone will just move to a  new platform very easy.
3676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The First Bullish & Bearish Market I Met. on: September 25, 2022, 01:18:38 PM
Majority of us was here around 2017 if I'm not mistaken, crazy times, for bitcoin and the rest of the market, bounties was alive that time, and there was a notion that the price is going parabolic till 2018, everyone was shouting to the moon, hehehe.

But 2018 was different and others might agree that we are in the same boat again, 2022 is a bear market. But for those who have experience and felt it in 2018, this is just a repeat and we should know how to go about this second bear market because we are familiar already.

Sa tingin ko malabong gawin main man ng Jazz is Clarkson, walang dudang magaling ang ating kababayan, pero kung nagawa nilang i trade si Mitchell, malamang wala na silang ititira sa mga lumang Jazz.

Oo malabo yan kasi dapat dati pa. Kahit maganda pa ang pinapakita ni Clarkson lagi syang off the bench.

3678  Economy / Speculation / Re: Purchased at $23,500, when should I start to panic? When should I average down? on: September 24, 2022, 10:41:58 PM
Bad falter so far, we are constrained by the 2 day average the only hope is that weight is lifted and we surface higher like a submarine blowing the ballast tanks :p    However we have dipped below various measure of support today and it looks poor, but sure enough we stuck to this MA ceiling as a measure like a fly upside down hence perhaps  it is short term as a 2 day average might well be.
18973 is midway between most negative yesterday and the high at night, needs to break the negative soon.

We may have to wait for next month tough, at least in the first two months and see if we can break past $20k. Currently and leading to the end of the month, we're lucky if we can get back to $19k. So I guess the OP is still in panic mode because his portfolio is losing in value.

Nevertheless, this could be a great opportunity for him to really know how the market operates in bear market. You buy during dips and just continue to DCA as long as you have the money to invest. And in the future he can go back to this thread and says the did the right thing.

For those looking for sources:

- Judge Orders Tether to Produce Records Showing Backing of USDT
- Tether says new court order to produce USDT reserve backing is a 'routine discovery matter'

Or directly from the court order: https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.nysd.524076/gov.uscourts.nysd.524076.247.0.pdf

~maybe they trust Tether or they just don't believed that the government has a case against them.

They are ironically trusted or simply the majority of the people are ignorant. I believe the latter, their users didn't notice the government has a case is out of the option, IMO, it would be too much dumbfounded if there are USDT users who would believe so. The current order was from a 2019 lawsuit, and actually, if we look based on my first referenced Decrypt article, there is a case whereases Tether found guilty to misled the reserve they had to back the token. There ware multiple related cases, so it would be ironic if people still trusting them.

It's really hard to know, for me I'm aware of the court cases way before (I even tagged it as 2018, it supposed to be 2019). But in any case, I just used but i don't put like in the thousands of dollars, just a couple of hundred specially if I just wanted to hedge against bitcoin's volatility.

But in any case, users should be aware of the court cases and if they are willing to take the risk then it's up to you. The court battle might be long though, so do your own diligence.
3680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 24, 2022, 09:45:31 PM
Ok, so Eddie Hearn and Matchroom has filed a court case against Jake Paul for saying that judge ieldman is on the the pocket from Matchroom.

Quote
Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing has filed a multimillion-dollar lawsuit against the outspoken Paul, claiming defamation in a complaint filed Friday afternoon with the U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York. The case was submitted following outrageous allegations dropped by Paul, who alleged that veteran boxing judge Glenn Feldman was on Matchroom’s payroll based on his recent scoring of Taylor-Serrano on April 30 in New York City and the Oleksandr Usyk-Anthony Joshua rematch on August 20 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

https://www.boxingscene.com/eddie-hearn-matchroom-boxing-file-defamation-lawsuit-against-jake-paul--169287

And Hearn is seeking $100 million as damages on the allege statement by Paul. Not sure how it will hold on court, but that number is insane and I doubt that the court will order to pay that amount in any case Eddie Hearn wins the case. So it's interesting how it will ended, or it will be settled out of court. Maybe Hearn is teaching Paul here not to messed with the big boys as far as boxing promotion is concern.
