Brexit and Bitcoin ?

The Bank of England has just decided to pump an extra £250 billion into the banks - to keep things ticking over, so to speak. I'd like to say the banks are getting it for free - but of course they are not getting it for free - the people of the UK will pay for it.

This is the case for Bitcoin.

Wait didnt the brit just vote against banks, elitism and the establisment? With the effect that exactly that group getting 250 billion now? ....

....

^

It is so sad that it is becoming funny again.

The economic shock was just the beginning - the aftermath of the leave will show itself in the coming years and i dont think it will look bright for the UK. Scotland and North Ireland ready to leave and negotiation with the EU will be hard.

The EU is forced to show strength against UK to hold the other memberstates in line, which means that the UK will have to bleed for this decision.
3683  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 24, 2016, 06:58:05 AM
U.S. stocks are tanking,,, any guesses that this could be good for bitcoin?  Grin

Stock Exchanges world wide are minus 5-10+%, especially with big european banks leading the fall.
3684  Economy / Speculation / Re: Brexit/Bremain on: June 22, 2016, 07:15:25 PM
Will brexit or bremain even have a large impact on any economy at all?

Brittian never used the euro in the first place, so what will leaving the eurozone actually do?

It might make travel a bit more expensive and cumbersome, or will it?

Maybe import/export will be a bit more expensive, or will it?

I doubt it makes much a difference either way, except on a political level.

Brits habe to renogotiate all existing multilateral contracts. From economy over politics to science.

But they gonna have 2 years for it - that is the timeline for an exit from the EU.
3685  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's your opinion of gun control? on: June 22, 2016, 07:03:57 PM
I might be wrong but... I'd say this debate is pure nonsense when you think about it.
EU has no gun. USA is full of guns. Both country can't really change their positions... A gun repression in USA would just create a timeframe with normal citizens having no guns and all criminals having huge reserve of guns, so nothing can really be done here...
While it would be completely dumb to insert guns in EU! There is much less crime and violence than in gun countries... Why wanting to change things but copying methods giving less results?

I talked 3 days ago with someone who went 2 years to school in texas, like 40-50 km from the mexican boarder.

He told me that usually once in a week there was a massacre of some kind just some kilometres away on the mexican side caused by drugcartels with US weapons.

The problems gets serious when US weapons are invading all anreiner states and more.

And yes you can buy weapons anonymously in the US - it is a fact. Gunshow loop hole exist and is widely used!

Also the US background checks are rather questionable. The orlando shooter was on the fbi terrorist list but still could legally buy weapons even through a background check.
3686  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to get Bitcoin inside North Korea? on: June 22, 2016, 06:56:35 PM
Imagine a Bitcoin revolution inside North Korea. I find this idea fascinating, of some underground people starting spreading Bitcoin around. The problem is they just have some sort of intranet.. so how would we be able to start spreading nodes inside North Korea? This would be great to start an underground economy beyond the dictatorship of that fat dude.

Lol!!! Instead of getting bitcoin inside North Korea, get yourself out of North Korea. It is the worst place to live for a human being.

The mentality of the leader of N Korea is primitive and he don't want his people to succeed. Absolutely worthless.

People are living like hell.

Actually if you are not opposing the NK .gov life is not that terrible there.
If you look for the HDI then somalia or something around that line is the worst nation in the world.

But yeah i would try to get out there as fast as possible anyway :8

3690  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 'Brexit' could trigger World War Three, warns David Cameron on: June 20, 2016, 06:04:16 PM
@criptix   To make things clear, I am not of any denomination whatsoever.

You support that kind of talk, that threatens life, would you like that, if some no marks threatened your life?

FU

That is called freedom of speech as long as they do dont do anything.

So you support the anti hate speech law and censorship.

Q.e.d.

3691  Other / Politics & Society / Re: VOTE BREXIT on 23 June, UK on: June 20, 2016, 06:01:24 PM

3693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where has TPTB_needwar been for a month??? Who is "The Attacker" of DAO? on: June 19, 2016, 10:05:03 AM
Seeing how there was no attack but shitty code that allowed an observant individual to execute it as written

TPTB aka Anonymint had zero to do with it.

~BCX~

I bet you are wrong, only TPTB is smart enough to conduct such the hack. Oh, and probably Satoshi.

Not hardly.

It was plain as day in the code after Vitalik Buterin pointed it out in his post.

The "exploit" was too well formed to have been just a bug.

It was purpose built from the get go.

Some one knew it was there the whole time.

Strongly smells of an inside job.

~BCX~

TPTB was confident there was a bug in the SOL code, but he didn't take the time to try find it.

Because he is not going to do something that will get his ass thrown in jail.

TPTB doesn't have a vendetta against Ethereum. TPTB motivation is to earn $ in positive ways that help advance CC.

TPTB is not a hacker from the dark side of the world.

Wow.  TPTB seems to have many adherents to do his talking for him.  How can so many people be in his mind and know his thoughts?  He must be very transparent in his enigmatic sort of way.

Because that IS him. Are you trolling?

No.  He seems too bright to risk a perms-ban.  It can't be him.

You know it is impossible to perma ban someone right?
3694  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much of a bump will BTC get from Eth crashing? on: June 19, 2016, 12:21:37 AM
Why would the BTC/USD price rise from crypto to crypto trade? Does not compute... Except the case where now, money that would have gone into ETH might be diverted to BTC

This. The btc/eth trading pair doesnt matter for the question.

It has to go eth/fiat -> fiat/btc - but personally i dont think it will happen  on a big scale.
3695  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING NEWS: DAO Attacker Identified!! on: June 18, 2016, 09:02:48 PM

3696  Economy / Speculation / Re: btc hdlers just gained a bigger %rise in 60 min than average fiat-joe in 2 yrs! on: June 18, 2016, 08:39:14 PM
OMG.  Yes but this could have easily gone the other way.   People who've been holding bitcoin got lucky.

You just have to buy more then!!! Infinite growth Wink

Jk but OP is correct - just dont overinvest so that you dont have pressure to sell if you are in the red.

If you could hold through the last 2 years then now is your time to shine Smiley
3697  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Paul Craig Roberts on Orlando Shooting: Still No Evidence, No Blood, No Bodies on: June 18, 2016, 08:22:07 PM
Lezards are dinosaurs... So here is the new official narrative: the father of the dude was operative for the soviet army during the soviet invasion, following the destruction and defeat of Russia against the mujahideen and their stingers manpad the father emigrated to USA because he was afraid to be discovered by the afghans. Once in USA he became cover operative for Russia and sacrificed his son for the motherland. Done deal.

His father was not working for the Soviet Army. He was working for the legitimate Afghan government, which was headed by Mohammed Najibullah. The Americans overthrew the secular regime of Najibullah, and replaced it with an Islamist one. The Mujahideen / NATO never came close to defeating the Soviets, and that is the reason why they retreated from the cities and waged the guerilla warfare.

Like how the glorious USA won in Vietnam.

Who needs facts and history if you have bryant.coleman Smiley

The USA had the ability to easily win in Viet Nam. They showed this over and over in many battles. Politics and business ordered the pullout without an official win, after the US military accomplished all the goals that big business and politics wanted.

Cool

Care to explain with what the USA actually succeeded in vietnam? ( i mean except the killing of millions of innoncent civilians with bio-chemical weapons, incendiary bombs and destroying 90+% of indochinas infrastructure)

Because last time i checked vietnam is still one the few(4 1/2) communist countries left in the world.
