3681  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: I want to place advert for my customers to fit pay me with bitcoin. on: June 23, 2023, 08:02:38 PM
The thing is that,  accepting Bitcoin or any other coin of your choice in your business is ok as an alternative mode of payment, but the limitation is in your customer's reaction because a good percentage of Nigeria citizens are either unaware of Bitcoin or don't even know how to make a Bitcoin transactions talk more of them using it as a daily spending currency.

Accepting cryptocurrency in business is not an easy thing and how to sustain it in a region where bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are seen as a threat to the banking sector like Nigeria
3682  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: June 23, 2023, 07:55:37 PM
~
This rumor is still hot, and it is certain that it will often be discussed because Real Madrid, if they have Mbappe will definitely be able to get many more titles in the coming seasons. As for Mbappe, he has a higher chance of getting many awards, one of which might be the Ballon d'or. But those are all rumors only, also Mbappe doesn't want to leave PSG, although in the future there is a possibility because Mbappe contract at PSG has one year left.
Mbappe do want to join Real Madrid and the French president himself was involved to keep him with PSG along with Messi and Neymar in order to win Champions League. This year he has a contract with PSG which will try to impose a huge amount of money to sell him to Real Madrid but at the end they might sell him at half his real price so they cannot see him walk free next year.
Real Madrid did not meet their expectations in this last season even though there we're part of the top table earners throughout the season but did not perform up to a quarter of what their performance used to be and also did not come top at the end of the season due to lack of good players and getting mbappe on the team will go a long way to help improve the club standing in the 2023/2024 La Liga season,  but just like others have said,  it's not sure if the player or his current club will be willing to accept Real Madrid deal but if that is possible,  we should expect something huge from the club in the long run.
3683  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin price speculation (BTC/NGN) on: June 23, 2023, 04:06:30 PM

Technical analyses, fundamental analyses, news, statistical analyses and all possible things that can have effect on bitcoin price can be on this thread. But it would be good to let the discussion to be what would correlate more to bitcoin holding instead of trading.

Grin Are you being sarcastic right now with this statement,  because we all know that none of the offers mentioned economic tools really have effects on Bitcoin price,  both on the long-term or short-term speculation,  bitcoin has its own price dynamics that have proven to have voided all other statistical analyses and this is what has made bitcoin price unpredictable.

I welcome this thread as a discussion thread just like Bitcoin speculations on the wall observer thread,  but this one is for our local board and the currency of speculation is ₦‎ vs BTC.

But even at that,  ₦‎ vs BTC price speculation may not yield much response from the local board members since most people will not be able to make a post since they may lack what contribution to make in this regard because bitcoin to naira price speculation analyses tools may be hard for most newbies unless they will just read others comments that are if we work to keep the thread/discussion active.
3684  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: June 23, 2023, 03:47:18 PM
I don't think so,  who knows both of them anyways aside from being social media influencers,  even though Elon Musk is into tech he also contributed to the influence of dogecoin because he is a whale and has a big bag of dogecoin and at that, he has to protect his investment at some point by promoting the coin even though dogecoin was created as a joke,  but that joke is becoming serious right now.
Haha, 😂 brother, how can you possibly be asking who know both of them, Elon and zuck are not just any social media influencer, they are the social media themselves.
Elon is a Billionaire and owns Twitter, spacex, tesla and a host of others multi billion dollars companies.
Zuch is a Billionaire and owns Facebook, instagram, whatsapp and a host of other multi billion dollar companies.

Both are well known all over the world, I bet even a kid of 5 knows who Elon and Zuck is, so both coming out to have a fight is some thing the entire world would definitely want to see who the winner would, but then, I personally hope the fight be like a sports for them, and not born out of personal grudges o
r hatred or anything negative.
My brother I was just being sarcastic by the statement, of course I know the capacity of both when it comes to international recognition because for the fact that both Mark and Musk own and operates two of the world's most popular social media outlet and both are world billionaires so that is loud enough for everyone to know them,  but as to how much this fight will add to the stake of most casinos in what made me to say who knows them,  because,  as far as I know, both of them will almost have same odds since if looked closely you will see that the possibility of predicting the winner in this match is hard.

So casinos will always give similar odds which will not be higher than 2.70 odds for correct score and probably 3 odds for draw between the two of them.
3685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Referral bonuses are waste of time on: June 23, 2023, 03:38:49 PM
Most times I don't have to blame the casinos because most gamblers who go for this bonuses don't even have the patience to read the terms and conditions before going for it because if they do, then they would have understood  that it wasn't going to be an easy task.
Nevertheless, I would prefer that the casinos make this terms very fair and not extremely against  the player.
We can't blame the casino but must check what we've done to know what happened. If a gambler wants to get a bonus from an affiliate, they really have to be able to convince people that the casino is good and can be a place to gamble. However, people think that sharing affiliate links can bring them a lot of bonuses but that's not the case. They can get a lot of bonuses if people who join under them use big money to gamble so the bonus will also be big. But if they don't, they won't get a big bonus or even get anything.
Exactly, if someone wants to do affiliate marketing then he must keep his referrals active by confuting gambling activities. As much as the gambler gamble more the referral bonus will be increased accordingly. Some people refer many but the referrals are never active and with such referrals there will be no chance of making any income on the gambling platform. Also, a simple matter is if the gambling platform can't make any profit from you then on what basis will they pay you? Those who can manage the affiliate market properly will have huge income opportunities.
I have read somewhere of a situation of a referral hunter who is paying his downline almost 10% of his earning monthly and that is something to motivate them the wager higher so as for him to get high returns,  and also if you want to generate more referral income,  you may need to activate more holistic tactic such as helping those under you to generate they're on referral code and try to build their own networks.

This way the referral payment for the primary referee is higher since it will become a combination of his own downline and also the downline to his own down line but the payment from his B downline may be low in percentage
3686  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Between futures trading and gambling on: June 23, 2023, 03:33:02 PM
Trading requires more skills, knowledge and experience, but it is not that far from the risks that gambling poses. If someone is not careful,  future trading can wreck someone's life in just a few seconds, minutes, hours or days. But the chance to make more money is in future trading is higher if learned. If I should go for one, I will prefer to trade, but that does not mean I can leave gambling too because trading and gambling are different and I like the fun I derived from gambling. Some people are not gambling for money, but traders are not trading for fun.
This is indeed what I was looking out to read from many of the comments on this topic because even though trading is less risky and more skill-oriented than gambling,  there is still no guarantee in future trading same as gambling. After all, even in future trading you speculate the price of the asset you want to trade on likewise in gambling you will have to speculate the team to either win or lose for you to win your bets that are in sports betting,  and in in-house gambling games,  what is needed is some form of skills experience to play the games and rely much on your luck.

So putting this into close consideration,  it is now evident that both are very close in nature even though not closely related but their outcome is the same just the operational pattern that is different.

OP I was wondering if your lotto got all  it takes to operate as I did a search for your license. I did not see anything of that nature then what confidence do you think members here would have doing anything with your lotto.
I have no idea of this question has been asked by anybody but I am still curious to ask as well. Do you require KYC? What is the minimum age limit to take part in the lotto?
Are there restrictions for countries from taking part in the lotto game?
Please do well to answer these questions as they are very important to know.
As far as I know,  I think this casino will not be different from the many others we have around the forum unless for their mode of games which is based on only lottery without other gambling games such as dice,  slot and others.

I am sure a license may not be available since I didn't see them mention that on the website.
3689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could this be a trap? on: June 22, 2023, 08:43:20 PM
Is of no doubt the market has already turned green and ETH surpasses 1.9k, though I was having this feeling to enter the market now that we have full confidence that we are no longer going to dip. But I am a bit confused if this could be a bear trap, what do you think of the market is there any good analyst to give accurate results on what would happen next or to know if this is a bear trap?
The fact is that there is no time that we can say we have confidence in the market but to some level yes we are at a price regime where many of the major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum are making a huge price movement on the positive directions,  but to say this is the best time to buy,  then you may be wrong with that because you already missed the last discounted price in most coins and entering the market at this time seems a little bit too in a hast and at a wrong time.

But if you already holding for the long term,  I advised you not. To sell off at this price because the possibility of bitcoin price moving above the present price is clear and even if the price will correct it will be in a minimal amount before it picks up again.
3690  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling, investment, stocks..... on: June 22, 2023, 08:26:49 PM
Yes.
It would be easy if you are from the US, go to your local broker. The problem is for international investors, you need to find a broker that serves the global market and lists these stocks since not all stocks are available on their platform.
Hmm, that is interesting, but I guess only worthful for US residents. I imagine to invest from a foreigner country must be really bureaucratic and expensive considering the extra taxes you will have to pay, the broker service (middleman) and so on... Besides the fact gambling industry is already heavily taxed by regulators, what will impact the investment negatively.

For investors in general, from the whole world, there was a better alternative, which was the bankroll investment at crypto casinos, but from 5-6 years ago till now this kind of investment has been disappearing and losing importance on the industry, what is really unfortunate, because back then it was possible to make about 50% yearly return on this category of investment at main crypto casinos.
I haven't seen or heard of any investment that involved direct deposits into a casino address but I am aware of the bankroll mechanism that has helped a lot of gamblers to stock up their spare money on the casino bankroll to take part in the revenue-sharing of the casino.

This method of investment has been the most popular and most effective with real-time display of investors' earnings per time.

3692  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Invest small money and get big money avoid them. on: June 21, 2023, 07:02:58 PM
I don't know why some people are still falling into the traps of those people that will call you for phone or meet you one on one and introduce fake decentralized investment, that if you invest #100,000 you will get #200,000 within a week.

Having the desirability to seek for financial source of income or make an investment in cryptocurrencies is not the bad or wrong decision to take, what we arrived at is what matters because not every cryptocurrency should have our interest being attracted to, many of us don't also know how to speculate, research and make accurate findings that we mistaken cryptocurrency for a ponzi scheme investment, therefore we should know the coin we are investing, research about it and have enough time to study and speculate such while holding.
You are very correct,  aside from the point already mentioned by the first comment that greed is the most factors that make people fall for scammers we also most have a basic understanding of the concept of crypto vs Ponzi scheme since there has been evidence of high number of crypto investments platforms that have swaddle victims all in the name of cryptocurrency investment and that have given the cryptocurrency industry a lot of bad names because many are now having the misconceptions that both Bitcoin and other coins are all Ponzi not knowing what it means to hold your bitcoin in your wallet with private keys as an investment.

Or giving your coins to another third party in the name of an investment platform that is 100% scam,  the most annoying part is the spread of fake Ponzi that promises investors up to 300% profits returns within the shortest time some time say 24 hours.
3693  Economy / Gambling / Re: Using ToS against users normal? on: June 21, 2023, 06:53:19 PM
How come it's a waste of time? It's worth doing to see if there is a change or you can also wait until there is notification from the casino about the change in the rules. Perhaps, once a month could be the time to read the rules. After all, it's for your own good rather than later regret because of a rule change.

Well, it's usually like that but we don't know what changes the casino will make. For this reason, we must try to find out for ourselves. If we have done KYC, it seems like everything will be fine, but who knows?

Do you actually do that yourself, or just decided it's a smart thing to preach to others? Do you actually dedicate a big chunk of your life to sit down and studying all the ToSs of all the services that you use just to see if there have been any changes (do you run version compare in Word lol)?

Yes, reading entire ToSs is usually pointless, unless you want to learn about some specific rule that interests you, but for an average, regular user, that's not necessary and nobody does that in practice (yourself included).
I do it myself, but since I don't gamble too much, I don't need it because I only gamble for fun and not for the pursuit of winning. I don't need to read all the ToS of all services because I've seen several notifications sent to my email or when I log in to my account. If you are a real gambler, you certainly don't want to get into trouble just for not reading the changes in the rules, do you? Grin

Usually, the casino will notify all of its members if there is a change in the rules. The last time I looked at Stake, it popped up a window containing its latest rules and asking gamblers to agree to them.
I believe that there is no loss in reading the TOS of a gambling site before registering because that is what will provide you with the guide on how to protect yourself from falling into trouble while you are playing on the site,  but a lot of gamblers don't take note of that and at the end fall into problems on the long run and this is something the great of us should learn from.

We have to read the terms and conditions of the casino we want to gamble on for the long term,  what I do is read only the TOS of the casinos I like most since the document can be large sometimesmes.

Trying myself to upload proofs.
[/img]
The image hosting site has been down for a while now as I have read from a couple of members here stating their inability to upload an image on the forum,  but I guess that will be for a while and the network will be back to normal again so I advised you retry later on to see if it works.

Although I don't know the necessity for you to post evidence despite I was among those who call for you to upload evidence of collecting such an amount in your referral program.
3695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who is to be blamed, the gambler or the betting agent on: June 21, 2023, 05:18:53 PM
So when I wanted to judge the case and possible settlement,  I query the casino agent how can you allow a customer to gamble on credit to the tune of 8k Knowing fully well that the gambler only has a 1k balance which already existed.
The mistake of bringing allowing friendship into business happens sometimes, and some of us are guilty of it not just this betting agent. I would have blamed him if it was an underaged gambler that he allowed to gamble on credit, but it was his mature friend who he felt will keep his word. I blame the gambler for taking advantage of the relationship he has with the betting agent to make demand to gamble on credit knowing fully well that he does not have any good plan on how to pay back.
In this situation I don't think allowing friends and family into business is the cause of the crisis,  what have resulted in this are two things and it has to do with trusting the wrong person and greed and I will go further in explaining why I say so.

1 the gambling agent has trusted the gambler wrongly because there is no agreement or nothing that binds them together just mere words of promises.

2 greed on the part of the gambler because he was supposed to quit playing when he lost his initial balance instead of playing on credit and accumulating to that amount.
3696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Casinos Go Bankrupt Because of Player Wins? on: June 21, 2023, 04:58:13 PM
Is it possible for a casino to go bankrupt because a player gets a very big win?

I think maybe that's hard to happen if we look at casinos that are already big and well known. But suppose there is a new casino, and there are some players who are very good at playing, so they can win continuously, can the casino go bankrupt? or do they already have an algorithm or a way so players can't keep winning?
I hard a story sometime ago about a gambler who won high amount in sport betting and at the cash out point he was told to give the casino several weeks to put up the winning for him,  this is a clear sign that the casino lack the necessary liquidity to pay for higher amount and if the gamblers should enforce his right of being paid at all course then this casino may go into bankruptcy.

But willing the gamblers must play along with the game if they ever wants to get their winning paid,  so the answer to this question is yes, sometimes casinos lack liquidity to settle bets.
3697  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why People Still Gamble? on: June 21, 2023, 04:18:03 PM
The ones who have already started gambling continue playing it because its fun for them.
For some it's the addiction that make them continue gambling while knowing how bad it is for themselves.

The ones who are newly starting is mostly because they want to know it works.
There are a lot of people who do the opposite of what is advised and in this case they gamble because they wanna know how its done.

Well you mentioned two of the most factors that make people to gamble most especially newbies who doesn't know the risk associated with gambling and will tend to fall for it as an addict because at first, the main goal is to have fun while making some extra cash by winning the bets,  but as time goes on it becomes a persistent quest and if it continues,  it will land the ops into full addictions that may cause a lot of crisis along the line for the individual.

So while we gamble to have fun or chase the winning we must have limits to our gambling escapades.
3698  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who is to be blamed, the gambler or the betting agent on: June 21, 2023, 04:07:22 PM
Since the gambler will be at fault and receives the best embarrament of his life from the agent he should then be blamed for taking the risk of what he knows to be uncertainties to either win the bet or get the money for repayment back to the agent, the agent i think try his best by being considerate enough maybe due to their familiarities being together over a long time but he also made a mistake of offering a loan knowing that such shouldn't be allowed or permitted when gambling, this equally means he will be in full responsibility for the refundment if the gambler defaulted.
The betting agent should be blamed, he should know how gambling is and how addicts can borrow money to gamble or use the money they supposed to use for something else to gamble. I see the betting agent as an inexperienced person and he should learn from his mistake. The person he borrowed money too is not a rich person, and the betting agent will know that. Then why borrow him money? I can borrow someone money if what he wants to use the money for is not risky, unlike gambling that I know can take more from addicts. I will also blame the gambler because he is not disciplined but borrowing money to gamble, that is foolishness that can lead gambling addicts to dept. So I will blame them both. I blame the gambler for not disciplining himself and I will blame the betting agent for not knowing that he should not borrow any gambler's money.
I agree with you,  the agent to me is at fault and this is one mistake that many betting agent always get caught up with for many times unlike the online casinos where players may not have the chance to borrow money to gamble with,  the physical casinos always offers this kind of incentive to their regular customers.

But in doing that,  there must be a due diligence check on the ability to make repayments and on time,  this is why the agents are motivated to take this kind of risk but in most cases, they always fall into the wrong hands.

It is better for us to stay on a single topic regarding this.
Boss I just noticed that now,  thanks for sharing it and pointing me to it,  I also have followed up with the news and the old thread,  but I thought this new development about the binance Nigeria cryptocurrency exchange as illegal coming from the CEO of binance itself.

All the same,  I will lock the the thread right away.
3700  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Binance Nigeria is a scammer entity be warn on: June 20, 2023, 11:08:25 AM
My people I say make I bring this update here sake of say for some time we discuss about binance cryptcucrency exchange and sec issues in the local board and the general forum, and how the Nigeria Securities and exchange commission faulted the operation of binance Nigeria subsidiary as illegal and unregistered.

The Sec we're right because, in a recent update from the exchange CEO  ZHAO distancing binance.com from binance Nigeria,  that means all the while the cryptocurrency exchange called binance Nigeria is a scam even though there have not been reports of them exiting with traders' balance for those you stars up bitcoin and other coins on the exchange.

I have not used binance Nigeria before and I believe most members of this forum apart from newbies will already know the real binance exchange from the scam exchange called binance Nigeria.

My question now is,  is have you ever used binance Nigeria to trade either bitcoin or other coins before,  if yes do you have a balance on the crypto exchange I mean the binance Nigeria subsidiary?
