3681  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin will correct back under $10k or are 4 digits gone for good? on: June 23, 2019, 09:54:46 PM
My gut tells me that we will see sub ten thousand again very soon because there was no big correction on the way up but there were no big corrections when bitcoin was moving above 10 thousand in 2017. The first correction was at 17 thousand and it was very weak and shallow. Never underestimate the FOMO. Now that we are above 10 we will likely be drawn to the next big round number of 20.
3682  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Attack on Bitcoin on: June 23, 2019, 09:47:14 PM
Not really sure the type of attack you mean. More details would have helped but I really do not think someone or a group of people can carry out an attack that will jeopardize the the continued usage of bitcoin

He's trying to spread FUD. What proof do you have that it will happen? How did you come by that knowledge? Are you sharing your gut feeling with us? Cheesy

If it's Craig or Roger we can sleep well because these two clowns couldn't launch a successful attack on each other. Bitcoin is far beyond their reach.
3683  Economy / Speculation / Re: John McAfee Says- If Bitcoin Breaks 100k you can bet it will break a million on: June 23, 2019, 09:17:03 PM
It's a very strange prediction because there's a big gap between 100 thousand and 1 million. A million dollars per coin is such a big price that we'd need full adoption for it to happen. People would have to compete for every coin on the market but why should they if there's still no way to spend it.

Going from 100 thousand to 1 million can take 10 years. We will be in the era of quantum computing by then.
3684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The three biggest mistakes you should avoid on: June 23, 2019, 08:58:36 PM
I generally think that mistakes should be made because that way you will learn from them the wine if you are told how to do it and you will not learn anything.

It's always better to learn on other people's mistakes instead of your own. Your attitude is normal for people who made mistakes and are looking to comfort themselves.
Don't cry over spilt milk and spend some time reading and learning so that you won't make more.

The most common mistake new traders make is getting overexcited and rushing in both to buying and selling.
3685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When do ETH and LTC catch up to BTC? on: June 23, 2019, 08:50:40 PM
None of them will catch up because people will always see Bitcoin as the first cryptocurrency. Some say that it will be dethroned and I disagree because it can be upgraded and no coin is recognized as much as bitcoin. Bitcoin has its own brand and it will be more profitable to keep investing in it instead of leaving it and going after another newer coin.

Both ETH and LTC don't have any features that would make them derail the bitcoin train. You'd need something much better to make it happen.
3686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Libra coin over Bitcoin is that possible? on: June 23, 2019, 08:29:19 PM
We are comparing a stale crypto currency with bitcoin.

Both uses blockchain but the coin from facebook is centralized so it is not an alternative of people think fiat money is not needed in future.
but in the future also requires digital assets that have a stable value. bitcoin and many altcoins have very fast changing values depending on market demand. then what are the assets like this that we can use for payment in the future?
Libra will develop for the basics of the concept of using their coins. and bitcoin and other altcoins will remain crypto traded with the uniqueness of this market.

Why do we need it for? Payments? We have fiat money for that. What will be the advantage of libra over other payment methods that we are using now. You can send small transactions with payment processors in minutes. The advantage of bitcoin is that you are in control and your transactions can't be hijacked. You are sure that your payment will reach its destination and nobody can flag it or stop it because they don't agree with your ideology or choice of merchandise.

Facebook coin can be controlled and you have to use their tokens and their platforms. When I want that I can use my bank account that is also pretty stable.
3687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Libra the new crypto king on: June 23, 2019, 08:15:59 PM
I highly doubt the success of this project.  Since I heard about him recently.  I do not think that some kind of empty card can overcome bitcoin.  The names of the king is not so easy to earn.

It will succeed in its own way. The main purpose of facebook is gathering data that can later be sold. They want to know what you want to buy and what ads you will react to.
Libra coin will find its market in the millenials who buy apple gadgets and use social media for hours every day. They will want to try this new crypto hype but without going out of their social media comfort zone and facebook will get more data to sell.
3688  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Physical Bitcoin Explained? on: June 23, 2019, 04:32:42 PM
Let's get this straight first. Bitcoin is only digital, not physical. The physical bitcoins you see online are only for collections and for fun, and are mostly just worth a couple of dollars(besides those rarer ones).

There are some expensive collectibles out there like alitinmint or titan bitcoin. The first one is silver and used to be worth close to 1 BTC even without any bitcoins stored.

Quote

Why would you sell a bitcoin collectible on an ATM machine?

That's what I'd like to know too. Collectibles are usually targeting a very small but dedicated group of people. They should not be offered in bulk like casino chips but be limited and make the buyer feel special like he has something limited and preferably handmade. Kialaras are a good example of this approach.

Wait there's more.

Two different books published under Satoshi Nakamoto’s name have recently appeared on Amazon.

According to Amazon, both of the books — Wave and Ripple Design Book and The Official Bitcoin Coloring Book — are scheduled for release on June 28. The profile of the author makes it clear that he indeed claims to be the same Satoshi Nakamoto who created bitcoin (BTC).

The author’s profile also states that “100% of his book royalties to support STEM and environmental education programs serving underprivileged youth.” The store descriptions of the books themselves seemingly contain inside jokes about the cryptocurrency space and the myth of Satoshi Nakamoto.

Wave and Ripple Design Book, for instance, appears to hint at both the Japanese roots of the bitcoin creator’s pseudonym, as well as to Ripple (XRP): “A wonderful selection of wave and ripple designs curated by Satoshi Nakamoto. [...] Yuzan's designs were often used by Japanese craftsmen in the early 1900s to adorn their wares with wave and ripple patterns.”

The second book, The Official Bitcoin Coloring Book, contains less subtle jokes such as stating that it has been “printed on a brilliant white paper.” The product page also displays editorial reviews by Ethereum creator Vitallike Buttering, J.P. Morgain CEO Diamond James, and billionaire investor and Chairman of the Bored Buffet Warden, all misspellings of individuals and organizations famous within the space.

As Cointelegraph recently reported, many have claimed to be the mysterious Satoshi over the last 10 years, but their assertions have always been met with skepticism and have lacked any substantive evidence.

At the end of May, a Chinese citizen residing in California claimed copyright to bitcoin’s white paper, claiming to be Satoshi Nakamoto. This copyright claim came on the heels of an identical one by Craig Wright, who has long declared himself to be the inventor of bitcoin, despite public backlash and his own periodic slip-ups while maintaining that narrative.

What is your opinion? You think that's the real Satoshi Nakamoto who wrote these books  Huh?

3690  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best tips for who will invest in BTC for first time? on: June 23, 2019, 03:33:01 PM
The most important thing is to stay calm no matter what happens. Don't overreact and don't let FUD news guide you.

You also should remember to keep some money on the side. Divide your fiat into 3 or even 4 parts and invest 1 then if it goes up or down invest another part. Always have some money invested to catch sudden bull pumps and always have some fiat to buy the dip.
3691  Economy / Speculation / Re: This is a fake bit coin bull run don't fall for it on: June 23, 2019, 03:28:01 PM
Bitcoin is back at 10k but every single alt coin hasn't really gone up

The growth is un organic and fake , maybe by 2 or 3 whales or maybe even a corrupt exchange

You are just angry that some of your shitcoins didn't pump but bitcoin did. Don't be like that! You should be happy because if bitcoin goes up so will altcoins. It will take more time but it will happen if we stay above 10 thousand. If bitcoin dumps you will not see an altcoin pump anyway so if you are right and this isn't organic you are fucked Cheesy
3692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of bounty hunting is uncertainty on: June 23, 2019, 03:07:17 PM
Times change and with them the ways of making money. 2 years ago you were doing something else because bounty hunting wasn't a thing at that time. 2 years from now you will probably be doing something else again. Is it a bad thing?

Without knowing anything about cryptocurrencies you all adjusted to the situation and started to earn money here. Without this forum you will adjust again and do another job.
3693  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analyst claim Bitcoin will easily surpass $15,000 if it gets $10,000 on: June 23, 2019, 03:03:09 PM
While the whole crypto ecosystem is eagerly waiting for BTC price to reach $10,000. According to few analysts Bitcoin will easily surpass $15,000 if it gets $10,000.

these analysts with their predictions that never hit... I imagine that these analysts have bought now and how they want to have much profit are making predictions that the price will reach the $15000 easy. It may be possible to end this year without reaching $15,000 and these analysts will disappear for some time if the price does not reach $15000.

So brace yourself, we might have a bumpy ride in trying to get to that 5 digits again.

We are having this difficult journey.

In this case they could be right because 10 thousand is a big level. Half of ATH! 15 thousand isn't anything big or important.
We went through 10 thousand with such little effort that 15 is just around the corner and could be passed with mere inertia Cheesy

We are always overshooting when it comes to prices. When we were going down people were targeting 1 thousand and when we are going up we are starting to think about 15 thousand already.
3694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FULL NODE DONWLOAD on: June 23, 2019, 02:58:24 PM
Hello Team,

I have already downloaded the full node, but i want to be sure what are the benfits of it? It took me 1 day to download all the history blocks.

Thank you
I guess there are no benefits from having them updated on your drive, but the thing is you are able to help to support the Bitcoin network.

AND don't forget, while you may support the network, if you are on a capped data plan, you will be charged for all those GB's that you download.  Grin Cheesy Supporting the network could cost you money.
I don't think capping of data plan matters on OP he even downloaded the whole blockchain in just a day for over 225 GB of size, just not like me I even tried to manage my monthly data and lol, I'm still 3 years+ behind.

It's the same with me. I tried but it takes so much time to stay updated and if you lose power and have no backup your blockchain files can get corrupted and you'll have to start from the beginning. OP has a very good connection to be able to download everything in just one day.
3695  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 🔴 Time to BOYCOTT ALL Advertisers & Conferences associated with FakeSatoshi 🔴 on: June 22, 2019, 11:25:59 PM
Great idea. Craigsucker should be ignored and left in his own little world where he stands on the podium and strikes narcissistic poses and all the clowns that support him like Calvin sit at his feet and massage his calves. This guy wants to be satoshi so much that I expect he's paying people to wonder around the Internet and spread his holy word. Cheesy

With all the support that I have for this I also have some doubts. If we start ignoring crypto companies and conferences won't we divide the community even more? It's what faketoshi wants. Wouldn't it be better to go there and protest against CSW and his lies?
3696  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: need help is YoBit.Net scam on: June 22, 2019, 10:36:20 PM
There's some shady stuff going on yobit like that private scam investment box, listing unknown scam coins without any verification, issuing their own tokens that later get pumped and dumped. I'm pretty sure they don't register their own coins as securities or anything they just let you buy shady stuff because they profit from it.

If you're asking if they are stealing money from their users or scamming them: they aren't. I did some trades there and my deposits and withdrawals were always fast. If you go there to sell a coin and get out it should be fine.
3697  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I GOT BURNT TODAY on: June 22, 2019, 10:21:10 PM
Keep calm and hodl! We are in a bull market now and this isn't going to end with bitcoin dumping back to 6000 or less. Worst case scenario we'll go back to 9000 zone and stay there for a while until bitcoin is ready to retest our 2019 ATH.

You're saying you got burnt but really you've only lost maybe 3% of your investment. It's not a lot and it's easy to make up for such a loss. You'd get burned if you bought a pumped shitcoin and be at -50% in a day.
3698  Economy / Speculation / Re: what is the prediction BTC as per now on: June 22, 2019, 10:02:01 PM
AS per my experience of 3-4 years. we can expect 25000-30000$ per btc maximum. what is yours?
But do not invest your all money to btc , only invest what you can afford to loose. Do not put all the eggs to one bucket , diversify it.  if you have 100$

50% put to btc others to alt coins.

With the current uptrend in the price of bitcoin I think bitcoin can reach $22k before the end of 2019. The recent run has been amazing and I am still expecting more amazing moments of bitcoin before the year runs out.

I also think so. People follow the strong leader and bitcoin is looking very strong now. It's breaking through every resistance gaining speed as it goes and it means more people are seeing this and getting it into their heads that we are in a bull market again. Bull markets for bitcoin don't last for 2 months so we are only at the beginning and will at least try to touch 20 thousand this year and could reach 50 next year when we get close to halving.
3699  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is like the story for the Gypsy woman and the milk on: June 22, 2019, 09:51:54 PM
Are you really afraid of a big crash that will leave you with nothing when we are so early into a bull market?

Sit back and relax we've been here before. It's not like a big crash from 10 thousand to 5 thousand can make us leave the market with nothing and curse that damn bitcoin Cheesy
4 months ago we were in 3500 over a year in a bear market and people were saying that we have to go to 1000 to rise back up and look where we are now. If we are to crash come on bring it on i'm ready for 3000 again and I'll be buying on the way down like crazy.
3700  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have any strategic way in playing poker? on: June 22, 2019, 09:44:49 PM
Why nobody mentioned wearing black glasses as a part of strategy to hide emotions? Cheesy

Professional players also like to wear hats to hide if they are frowning or sweating. This will only work if OP is playing real poker in a casino.

You have more available strategies when you see other players in person but you can also let other people at the table get to know you and your style. Some players are more aggressive and some are more passive. Some like to intimidate the other players by raising a lot. It's good to sit and watch for a while to know what to expect from your opponents.
