Depends on where you live and where your clients live? You might need to put up restrictions for some countries. You probably also need a license and a lot of other stuff. Best talk to a lawyer who specializes in stuff like this.
3702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are blockchains really decentralized? on: September 16, 2021, 04:17:17 PM
I think the rate of adoption is the most important indicator of how much a blockchain is decentralized. Some are more decentralized, while others are less decentralized. But then again Im sure there are other factors too. Undecided
3703  Economy / Gambling / Re: Where can I sell my crypto gambling account? on: September 16, 2021, 04:13:21 PM
You should read the ToS before you accidently get your account banned or something. As far as account selling goes, I don't think I have head of any gambling website that likes their users to do that.... Embarrassed
3704  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does a trader needs to be a full time trader to be successful? on: September 16, 2021, 04:09:36 PM

full time trading is less profitable than long term hodling, I believe.
In some way, especially if you are holding a good coin, holding is for a long term big income while trading is such a daily income.

In the long term, the probability of you losing more money day trading than hodling is much much higher. Daytrading is not worth it, at least for me. One wrong move and you lose all the profit you made over weeks in 1 trade....
3705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins are good for investing? on: September 15, 2021, 05:00:37 PM
If you want to stay on the safe side, I would recommend not taking investment advice from random forums. That being said, the highest volume coins like ETH have proven themselves long enough to count as a semi-safe investment.
3706  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I think I have a gambling problem on: September 15, 2021, 04:57:23 PM
gambling is very addictive. Some people need to treat it more carefully. Hope you can find a solution that works for you! Smiley
3707  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does a trader needs to be a full time trader to be successful? on: September 15, 2021, 04:54:26 PM

The market is random and cannot be predicted due to having too many external variables. It CAN be approximated but people pay millions for AI Bots that see the signals and instantly do the trades before you even have a chance to think. Its basically gambling unless you do it on longer time scales.

I don't think that it's a good solution giving our trades to Bots, what can we learn if instant using Bots? do have income, but as traders they prefer manual over their assets to trade on their own. I am not a day trader or even a short term trader. Because having free time just trading it will consume my offline working time.

Its just impossible to out-trade the bots. If you make a bad trade and back out, you will lose more than you made last time

I think it depends on the trader, even a few part-time traders can be profitable and have a sustainable income. Indeed, for us the choice of holding is not to be on the market for hours on end. So day trading traders interact more with the market and price movements. Not even a few of them deliberately learn specifically just to master trading in trading.

3709  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are people still using DeFi on Eth? on: September 14, 2021, 04:01:28 PM
I suspect defi is banking on eth2.0 being a huge success and finally lowering the fees to an acceptable point.

Theres also the chance the banks may arbitrarily decide to freeze accounts and/or deposits. At least I've heard of it happening.

Dear diary,

today two coiners revealed themselves among my friends/ex co-workers. The friend was my former boss, the co-worker his secretary.
The boss proudly told me, he's in "crypto" now, a fantastic thing. He was showing me his trading app and portfolio (what a noob, held only shitcoins), and said his secretary is his crypto-consultant. The secretaries base currency was ETH, he is into Defi as well. I wondered why the fuck he didn't invest in NFT already, but trying to sell a shitcoin that goes to zero is about as non fungible as a JPG of a rock, i heard myself thinking.
I said: Bitcoin? They said: Nah, man. No big gains here anymore. We sell a coin when it's over 150% profit and look for the next (shitcoin) to invest in.
So i asked about the taxes, and they said: Nobody cares. I wish they would know what they think "centralized" and KYC in terms of exchanges really means, but they seemed so obsessed about their "crypto gains", i didn't want to interfere in that moment.

The portfolio of the boss was down about 50% from its recent top. I didn't see or hear anything detailed about the secretary's portfolio, neither do i know how long he already was in "crypto" before.

So it's this time of the year again. I'm beginning to doubt my beliefs about S-curve adoption and should start thinking about liquidation target prices for a part of my stash. The next bear market is coming, and a big retail FOMO move to this cycle's top should lead it. It felt like 2017 all over again, but this time i will take some dollars to buy the 2023 bottom again.

-------

True story. Omitted many details in favor of OpSec.

Oof. Well, can't say I didn't burn my fingers too, at the beginning. Too bad this might discourage him buying Bitcoin....

.......

As was noted previously Jbear is a expert on the subject, I miss him.

Speaking of missing past regular posters in the Wob...
Where are they now?
My unofficial partial list of wo bro legends who have gone bye bye (for at least a few months anyway, to my knowledge)...

JBreher...  eloquent and JJG didn't like him. And that's an understatement. Me? I just loved that bear at the picnic table waiting for a treat.
Gentlemand... my favorite wo bro, and I really miss his hilarious comments.
Hairy Mclairy ... I think he just got tired of this place.
V8....  Kept me abreast of the latest and greatest memes.
Ibian....  Maybe he had a boating accident, but whatever, I don't miss him, though I will confess to reading all his posts.  Occasionally I'd flame him, because why not?
Roach....Fuck him. The thread moved up a notch in respectability when that asshole left. Good riddance

One of the weird things about being a regular here and participating in this never ending thread anonymously over the years
is that one is never sure what happens to regular posters when they suddenly go AWOL.
Occasionally one finds out that someone passed on the forum, but to my knowledge I haven't heard of any past wo bro regulars
actually going to the great bitcoin playground in the sky. (maybe others have, idk, I'm not in that loop)
I certainly hope that they rather they just got tired of the silliness and had better things to do irl after becoming rich.
Something that hasn't happened with me yet.... (I never tire of the silliness, I create it....)

GO BITCOIN

I think (hope) some of them will come back... WO needs the OGs back. NOT ROACH. Who shills for silver on a bitcoin forum? Seriously...

To be part of the next bull run rather than regretting again to sell off during this dip have some chill pills mate.

Chill pills? Not good enough. We take Hopium here, sir. If that doesn't do the trick, then we also have Copium.
3716  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 13, 2021, 12:04:00 AM
I blame @jjg influence for those of you who did not at least dabble.

I am pretty powerful - it seems.

A cock blocker too, apparently.  Whoaza.

Gotta feel badly about that, no?

He/she acted as a profit suppressor in 2021...surely cost you a bunch with all that harping at mere hints of alternatives (the funny thing is who knows what he/she was actually DOING all this time).  Grin

You can talk about and pump your nonsense shitcoins in other threads.. No one is stopping you.

Go forth.

Go.. Biodom... go... go...

Profit suppressor??? for everyone 1 person who has made money with shitcoins, there are 100's who has lost big!

If you put all your eggs in the same basket... I mean... What do you expect? Newbies always put all their eggs in one basket.

Also DYOR is completely out the window even with older coiners who should know better by now.

The mind is awake.
The hand quakes no longer.
My coin is at peace.
3717  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 11, 2021, 04:11:30 PM

You should know that no one else has the mind capable of crunching the numbers that Proudhon does. He is a god among mathematicians.

That is true. People say Niels Bohr and Max Planck are the founding fathers of quantum physics but I know better. I know it was Proudhon.

pretty sure proudhon was also involved with the discovery of imaginary numbers too.

Obviously it was him who wrote the first formula on ancient tablets. Also, they knew him back then as "Muhammad ibn Musa al-Khwarizmi."

So when is this Golden Cross event ?

Asking for a friend.

5 days from now, if my calculations are correct.

Using regular math or Proudhon's math?

I can confirm we are heading to an end of epoch, pump november/december/jan
Every bitcoin era, well starting 2013, I get a random (meaning I dont seek it but just happen to be at the right place at the right time so to speak) but stupidly significant airdrop/whatever.
2013 it happened then 2-3 months later top of cycle
2017 it happened then 2-3 months later top of cycle
2021 it happened again, so 2-3 months will be top of cycle.
4 years between each.

I cant make this shit up.  Mark my words.  2-3 months.  top of cycle.

What are you even talking about?
