3701  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sportsbet.io suddenly not available my jurisdiction logged in 1000 times before on: September 29, 2017, 10:43:57 PM
I made a deposit and ironically 48 hours later, I was restricted.

Thankfully, I used the Live support and was able to get my funds back almost immediately.

3702  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Canadian friendly site? on: September 29, 2017, 10:31:44 PM
I'm pretty sure they almost all accept Canadian players; it's the US players that are restricted.  But there's always VPN
3703  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io 💰 Weekly offers! ⚽ on: September 29, 2017, 10:29:41 PM
Nice promotion right here.  I've always wondered why bitcoin sportsbooks don't offer more like this. Almost seems like a sure way to attract more players.
3704  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io 💰 Weekly offers! ⚽ on: September 19, 2017, 11:32:20 PM
There are plenty of scam accusations all over google.

Anyone can draft a blog and claim "scam."

I am not too familiar with this sportsbook which was the reason for my initial post.

I don't believe in the 5x betting before withdrawl.
About the scam accusation. The victim got his previous winning bet cancelled. They won't let him withdraw because the user reached total withdrawals above 10btc or $2,300(listed on their terms) so he has to provide info for the kyc verification but failed. In the end, sportsbet returned the deposit to the victim.

They don't have x5 rollover on the deposits afaik.

That's exactly what I'm saying and I think we're in agreement.

It also sounds like said user was being investigated for collusion.

Had he provided legitimate KYC, this wouldn't even be an issue.

$25/OMG is quite a far fetch for the immediate future  Grin

Let's all push for a $12/$13 until some real official "announcement" is made...

I had close to .5 BTC in this shady sportsbook.  Better to just write it off than to think you'll ever see your BTC
3708  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is Kraken a scam? Yes, nearly. on: September 15, 2017, 09:01:23 PM
I've never had a problem with Kraken.  One of my go-to exchanges as a matter of fact.
3709  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When do YOU sell? on: September 15, 2017, 09:00:30 PM
Thankfully, I only sold about 1 BTC last year when I wanted to do some upgrading.

But this is the type of investment you HODL unless entirely necessary to sell.

3710  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in College??? on: September 15, 2017, 08:58:09 PM
Would love to see college courses offer Bitcoin in Econ style courses.

Also would be nice if colleges accepted BTC/crypto for tuition.

I saw an article about a small private elementary school accepting BTC as payment.

This is only the beginning.
3711  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin starts to rise on: September 15, 2017, 08:56:20 PM
HODL on tight folks this could be a small launch!
3712  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price prediction on: September 15, 2017, 08:55:46 PM
I predict it will reach $4k before it sees $3k again.

How's that for a prediction?  Grin
3713  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it too late to buy bitcoin? on: September 15, 2017, 08:55:05 PM
It's NEVER too late to buy Bitcoin.

In fact, this is the perfect time to buy! (puts in a Buy-order for .25 BTC)
3714  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin survive? on: September 15, 2017, 08:54:16 PM
Bitcoin will not only survive but it will thrive.  Now that it's starting to become more mainstream and the media is picking it up, more and more people will start investing.

History has a tendency to repeat itself and I see no difference with this this brilliant technology.
3715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ethereum a threat to BTC??? on: September 15, 2017, 08:53:11 PM
ETHEREUM is no only a threat to BTC but it will take over BTC's marketcap one day.

Or so some of us can hope  Cool
3716  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io 💰 Weekly offers! ⚽ on: September 15, 2017, 08:52:10 PM
Site looks legit.  Some good betting options.

Anyone care to elaborate about the apparent "scam" accusations?

Maybe they are working on implementing the possibility of betting with your Bitcoin Cash balance.

Highly unlikely.  They have always said that they will never use any coin except for bitcoin for betting.

Quote
because otherwise
everyone would simply withdraw it.

Yes, that's the point.  It's the customer's money.  Although most gambling sites have converted the bitcoin cash and added it to player's balances as bitcoin.  That's the simple, effective, and smart way to do it.

I wouldnīt be so fast in condemning Nitrogen for keeping the Bitcoin Cash. Letīs revisit this in a month  Wink

No.  They are always miles behind the curve and are actively ignoring questions.  That's a very bad sign.

You are aware that major businesses like Coinbase have still not done the "right thing" according to you as well?

Once again, you are incorrect.  They initially did the scumbag thing (like Nitrogen is doing now) but quickly caved to public pressure.

Both bitcoin and bitcoin cash remain safely stored on Coinbase.
Customers with balances of bitcoin at the time of the fork now have an equal quantity of bitcoin cash stored by Coinbase.
We operate by the general principle that our customers should benefit to the greatest extent possible from hard forks or other unexpected events.

They have credited customer's bitcoin cash to their accounts, they just can't withdraw/exchange it yet.  This is obviously very bad but it's still way better than Nitrogen who are saying

"..............."

Also note that Coinbase allowed customers to withdraw funds up until 14 hours before the fork happened.  Nitrogen ceased withdraws over two days before the fork happened.  Earlier than literally anyone else in any business dealing with bitcoin.

So let's put our thinking caps on here.  Let's try to not be white knights and only look at the facts.  We have a company that stopped withdraws days before anyone else did.  The same company is one of the only companies who are not giving the bitcoin cash to the people who own the funds that generated it and are actively ignoring questions about the subject and buying it under old promos.  That's bad.

Finally, someone gets it.  Thank you for speaking the truth in volumes!

For those of you waiting for nitrogen to pay you your BCH, it might be time to move on...

Nitrogen isn't going to pay out literally millions of dollars to players if it doesn't have to.

My account was locked for "cheating" hours before the fork was to occur.  I sent multiple messages asking what the problem was.

I then received an apology (how sweet) stating Nitrogen made an error (whoops)!

At this point, the fork had already occurred and Nitrogen kept my BCH.

Nitrogen knows what it's doing. They aren't stupid but they are unethical.
