I'm not trying to "protect the scammers," but I feel that we shouldn't post his information completely publicly.
Why not? I believe his future potential victims should know what he's capable of.

Maybe we should ask Theymos to revert the edits? (afaik they can see the posts' before-edit versions)

I would say a sudden 0% trading fee will cause volatility, but in the long term with the permanent 0% fee the market will be more stable due to reasons already mentioned.

So I'm a bit confused here: did the theft happen at the time of Bitcoinica's shutdown? If it did, why wasn't it discovered earlier? You would assume that given Bitcoinica shut down after the Rackspace hack, the lack of funds to withdraw from would be obvious.
AFAIK it was discovered only after people requested more money to withdraw than bitmarket had. Some people may have kept their BTC on the exchange for many months before and after hacks and admin's gambling. After the Bitcoinica hacks the balance was only fictitious but no one knew about it so as long as more BTC being was deposited than withdrawn.

Yeah, it's a problem. Less people are willing to run a full node and newcomers may get discouraged if they see that they have to wait 2-3 days to use their bitcoins. Sure, there is Electrum and other wallets which do not require the user to store the entire blockchain on their PC but most of them are unaware of it.

I believe it is only a matter of time before an exchange is set up in India for Bitcoin trading.
I think there was one last year, as of now I see one exchange dealing with INR-BTC: http://www.ecurrencyzone.net/Haven't used them myself though.

what's the point of hosting in a datacenter? you dont need tons of bandwidth, nor do you need 99.99999999% SLA, so why not host it at someone's house?
Insurance? What happens when a lightning hits nearby and it's strong enough to fry the ASIC? what's the likelyhood of that happening when you're using an adequate surge protector? Define ''adequate''. What I can say (from my experience at least) is that something like this: provides little protection, and it's not something I would rely on while running 5-figure sum ASICs.

China is too big and powerful for the US to attack them. Not to mention that US depends financially on China buying US debts and US buying Chinese goods.

You want to tell me what good a speeding ticket does the person who is harmed as a result of a driver speeding? (Assuming anyone is actually harmed... and if not, who gives a fuck?)
Victimless crimes FTW.

Pay back 260.000 dollars in 3 years? Thats impossible with "normal" work. even if you earn 150.000 dollars a year, (which is already quite much in poland i assume) you will have to pay taxes and social security first and you also need to pay for rent and food. Average yearly wages in Poland (after taxes and shit) are about $10 000. You won't find a job for $150k a year unless you have connections in the government to get a place on the board of directors in some corrupt national company (but it would probably still be a lot less than $150k).

It was probably a link to Silkroad, bitcointalk doesnt want to link to them (for obvious reasons).

For the last few months bitmarket has been operating like a bank - everything works fine until too many people decide to withdraw their money.

Bought Homefront and Red Faction Guerilla, quick transaction, thanks.

Waiting for the segue into "can't pay back what I've borrowed until after my parents give me money for Christmas because I blew everything on weed trying to impress a girl".
Fix'd.
