3701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is best Altcoin to buy now on: April 24, 2021, 08:00:48 PM
can you give me some suggestion about which Altcoin is best to buy now ??
Many coins in the market has been growing very well and making huge gains . Look at coins like Compound, it’s  a really good coin that has been growing for long now, and I don’t think that’s going to be the ending of the trend for thetokens, it’s definitely going to be continuing with the growth since we are yet to see the altcoins season. If you’re looking for good coins that you’re going to invest your money this year then you should likely choose that, and other coins like Ethereum which has also been growing too, then other includes Decentraland, and STORJ.
3702  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: April 24, 2021, 07:23:30 PM
with playoffs getting closer and closer, I think the lakers management and coaching staff should play LeBron and Davis in the playoffs there is no need for them to rush to play in the regular season maybe 5-10 minutes of play should if they insist they want to play although I think they will contest it, they should think about the championship, not the regular season, they will be frustrated with it but they will benefit a lot,
They might make them play with restricted minutes if ever the roleplayers will fail to win some of their games.
35 wins at number 5 while Mavs and Blazers tailing them at number 6 and 7 with 32 wins.
There are still 13 games left and it's possible for Lakers to enter a play-in tournament if they can't even win some of the games left. They are not safe yet. I think this is the reason why they are letting AD play to heat him up.
Tomorrow, they will be battling against the Mavs again. Injury reports are swollen on the Lakers team while two on Mavs, Maxi Kleber and KP.
Lakers are doing fine, they are 5th right now and they do not look like they are going to be 6th, which means even if they are 4th they are going to play the same team anyway, and they can't rush their players back and play for 3rd neither that would be silly to force their players back just for that. Which means they do not need to rush Lebron and AD back at all. AD already started with restricted minutes and that's fine, Lebron will get there too.

Only reason to bring those players back before playoffs is that if you are injured and you are getting back, it is risky to go out and play 30+ minutes a night from first game, which means both of them need to play with like 10 at first, then 15 then 20 then 25 and 30 and playoffs before playoffs start, if they can do that and bring them back to speed slowly that would be a lot better and it would help the team more.
3703  Economy / Economics / Re: High prices mean even higher volatility on: April 23, 2021, 07:08:35 PM
There seems to be (have been) another factor at play here, that of altcoins. The last few weeks altcoins have been performing a lot better than the Godfather cryptocurrency, and folks were feverishly selling into the Bitcoin support (while it was there) so that they could get the dough to join the altcoin rally

Then it backfired massively

Remember, every bullrun ends with a bulltrap
I would sort of agree with you but that's going a bit too far isn't it? I mean by the logic of the image we could say that there is a tramboline or something which is a huuuuge one where every bull falls waaaaaaaayyy down and then they fall to the trampoline and jump back up. I am not saying we will never have a crash, it could happen, you could see the start of a huge bear run right now that sees bitcoin going all the way down under 30k, all of these could happen, I can't argue against it.

However we can't say that it is the end of it all, it is just a crash and just like every other crash we had so far I am sure that it will result with another bull run, maybe in 6 months, maybe in a year, or maybe 3 years but I am sure that eventually we will go back over 64k guaranteed, it may not be right away, it may take years but that will happen. This is why the image is sort of wrong, it represents basically an end, this is just the road, we go up and we go down.
3704  Economy / Economics / Re: Nigerian Banks To Close Accounts Involved with Crypto on: April 23, 2021, 06:13:03 PM
Binance could actually help a lot with that P2P transactions. Their current platform is a sure way on how people would not get scammed. People are only required to do transactions once they do their verification and set up multiple verification. They are only also required to do one account and most people are not even eligible to do transactions without going thru this sure way to confirm that the person doing that transaction is real.
Well, you might be right, but not in countries like in Nigeria where anyone can just walk in and disappear lol.
If you’re going to be doing business with a random someone in countries like Nigeria, you should at least be careful to avoid getting scammed.

Let’s imagine you get scammed by the person, and okay, you know who they are, will you go after them yourself? Who are you going to call, the police? In a country where it’s illegal to trade crypto? Nah, people have to be careful. Although I saw someone post that people can now trade crypto, that their central bank has lifted the ban, but I don’t know how true that is.
3705  Economy / Speculation / Re: We entered a bear market earlier than expected on: April 23, 2021, 04:42:10 PM
This is just another step in the long term bull market. Market is starting to look very healthy for continued upward movement in the coming months, far healthier than it looks a couple months ago.
I agree, nothing to worry about at this point. Even it is more than 20% correction, market is still showing good volume across all exchanges. I like your way of being optimistic because even I am too confident about continuation of bull run from here, honestly I could not express that like you. I know how bitcoin market do behave but that is only up to my intuition level because when someone doubting about future of bitcoins, mostly I go wordless or simply do suggest to make use of dips and nothing more.
3706  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Breaks Below $50K as Market Sell-Off Continues on: April 23, 2021, 01:15:52 PM
Few minutes ago it was above 50k and now it is going down again. This certainly smells like the next bear market but who knows. I agree with JPM i don't expect a new ATH soon and if it is not going to go up... well you know... then it must go down.
I am still seeing it as usual correction but triggered by FUDs. Technically bitcoin just tested 18 week moving average line which is around $48k levels and bitcoin made low up to $47.4k levels. When USA people enter into markets for today, we had another spike which peaked up to $50.7k in some exchanges and I am seeing that as a good sign as market sentiment is still positive but bears dominating for no reason; or probably still listening to FUDs or expecting lower low hence might be booking profits.

I am sure this correction will not sustain for long time hence we can expect market again entering into $55k to $60k within week time.
3707  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is best Altcoin to buy now on: April 22, 2021, 09:14:02 PM
I am thinking of buying XEM, and wait until it reaches above $ 1.5 in the near future. I rate this as one of the undervalued coins compared to the present.
You refer nem? I heard that they gone for fork (with 1:1 rewards) in recent times hence the price of xem got halved. Did you find any chances to garb those free coins? (I am sorry I could not recall the name of new coin which was forked from XEM).

Before fork, I remember xem was trading above 1200 satoshi and right now it is trading only half of that hence your calculation of getting into $1.5 levels may get delayed as per fork. Please check their official ANN topic to get more information on this. I am just stating what I am aware of and this not meant that I am discouraging you against your decision of investment.
3708  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: The best way to start earning crypto today! on: April 22, 2021, 08:05:45 PM
Oh, I even thought it was just a random guy talking about a project that he discovered or something of such, didn’t know you were promoting your own platform until I read to the second paragraph. Meehn, to be sincere to you your marketing strategy isn’t good at all, lol how do you start a marketing with “I Think”, it shows that you’re not even hundred percent sure of the product you’re about to sell to people, and tell me, if you’re not sure if what you’re selling them how do you expect other people to take your product serious? Nah that’s not going to happen.

Moreover this is not the first platform that is like this, there are already many and some well established already.
3709  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does that mean trading is more popular than social media now? on: April 21, 2021, 01:58:33 AM
One possible conclusion is that folks are now more interested in swapping crypto and financial assets than they are in interacting on various social media platforms
That is really an interesting conclusion.

I just wanted to link these changes in people's latest activities to the incident of with few months back some people did dogecoin promotions on tiktok and other social media if I remember exactly. People who noticed that dogecoin promotion and the current price of dogecoins then definitely will go for checking crypto space.

Most probably dogecoin's recent surge must be a reason for changes in downloads trend toward crypto related apps.
3710  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading vs Investing (The major differences) on: April 20, 2021, 03:52:52 PM
Here is an infographic examining the differences between trading and investing under the key points of One's goal, philosophy, investment period, profit and tools.

When someone talks about trading I see it as an activity that you do daily (day trading), then when we talk about investment that’s the one I refer to as HODL. HODL is the investment here, because that’s pretty much what you are doing, you are investing when you HODL; when you hold, you put the money in a wallet and then keep it there till there is an increase which is the profit, and it can be for a year or more, and it can as well be less than that, it all depends on how the market moves when you invest that money. This image you have here explains everything properly and that’s just it, the difference between the two things; trading and investment.
3711  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Million Dollar Race - UFC Official Betting Partner - Play Smarter 🥊 on: April 19, 2021, 04:33:25 PM
Due to govt. restriction I can't access Stake.com so I have to use vpn service to make this happen. To be noted I'm not located US or other region where stake.com doesn't accept gambling. Anyway, in this way is it safe to continue using stake.com gambling service?
Why are you using VPN while there is alternative way to access the site? Stake have made two official mirror site for their users. If your ISP blocking Stake.com then try those mirror links to visit stake. One of them is Stake.games and another one is Stake.bet. My ISP also blocks the main domain of stake and I use stake.games domain to play there. I have posted the official announcement screenshot before, you may check it here
I think it is a dangerous thing to gamble on Stake if your government bans it. I have personally did it myself but I wouldn't suggest that to anyone, it is really not that smart to do something that your government finds illegal. I had a friend who got caught gambling (not at stake) and he was both punished with jail time and money, his jail time was turned into money as well because it was just a small period and not a violent "crime", it was purely just gambling illegally so they obviously just changed it to money right away.

But dude gambled like maybe $1000 total, yet lost about $5000+ just for paying the penalty for it. This is why I think it is quite risky. I do it, I trust myself and how I gamble, but I am taking my own responsibility there, I would not suggest anyone to keep gambling even though it is illegal for you to gamble in your nation.
3712  Economy / Economics / Re: Turkish Central Bank Forbids use of cryptocurrencies as a mean of Exchange. on: April 19, 2021, 04:20:08 PM
I saw someone comment that they banned bitcoin because they are “afraid that they are going to be losing control, so they had no other option than to ban it’, so how does banning bitcoin help them to gain control over it ? They are not going to have any control, rather they stand to lose even more or total control of it.

If they don’t ban it, there will be some ways that they are going to be having control and that’s through centralized exchanges which they are going to be controlling. But right now, they are going to be forcing their citizens to go for peer to peer which is the same thing that happened with Nigeria when their central bank banned bitcoin and people quickly went into peer to peer which is totally out of control for their government.
3713  Economy / Economics / Re: Russian vs foreign companies on: April 19, 2021, 03:24:08 PM
I don't know whether this is good or bad for selling smartphones or software in Russia, This is the sales of smartphones in Russia according to statista....

what is certain, that smartphone provider must adjust to this rule.  do you think this is a good step to increase Russia's competitiveness against foreign countries that we know are the US?  or this is a bad move that will slow down Russia's competitiveness!
Lol, how does having software installed in smartphones helps with their competitiveness? And if I may ask, what kind of software is that, is it a software that is run by the Russian government, maybe some kind of software that will help them keep an eye on citizens or something like that? Or do they mean that they just want any software that are Russian software installed? I don’t see how that’s going to help them. I think if they are trying to be competitive, there are more important areas where their focus should be, and not this. So, I am believing that their main purpose for doing this is not really just about what you have said, it might be something else.
3714  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do I need to pay Tax on my Crypto Gambling Winnings? A guide on: April 19, 2021, 06:38:47 AM
A common question that I see asked is "do I need to pay tax on my crypto gambling winnings?".
I never raised that question. Because, I am familiar with all taxation rules of my country. Basically I never need to pay any tax until I do not cash out of casino. Unfortunately I never got chances to stay in profits to get into a situation of cashing out Shocked and moreover even I will be cashing out and if that funds hit my bank account then I need to pay tax if my total income on that particular financial year qualify to limit of taxation slabs. Even I am playing with a regulated casino, I will never opt to cash out to my bank accounts as I always need some balance in my gambling account so that I may gamble instantly.
3715  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devices used for Gambling on: April 19, 2021, 05:54:40 AM
I will not discuss what profits or losses were gained by the devices I have used for gambling.
I am not getting this perspective. When you are the only person gambling and in same house and using same setting/bet amount, how your profit or losses will differ device to device? You mean different days are having different performance hence profit/loss ratio also differs?

Using smartphone is good but its better to look the letters and images on a much bigger screen.
Yeah, I faced such difficulties; usually I do place my sportsbetting after double checking by zooming-in and zooming-out but my smartphone's zoom was not working on that particular day for unknown reasons but simply went for placing bet by assuming that I was fine with that odds but got small profits even my prediction was right and only after that I realized how my phone tricked me on that occasion.
3716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 18, 2021, 07:43:12 PM
Inter is now playing against Napoli. It is also an important game for Napoli. Because there is only 1 point between them and Lazio. They will want to win this match But their rival is league leader Inter. In the last weeks, Inter will most likely be the champion. The second will be determined in the coming weeks.
Honestly Lazio played magnificent, that is a great game. Milan also played very well as well, that was a dominating win too. Let's see what Inter will do, I believe Inter already "guaranteed" the championship, I know mathematically it is not guaranteed yet, but it is really nearly there, which is why I think it should not be really that shocking to see them win tonight as well. They are playing Napoli which is not a bad team, I am sure they will play decently, but the fact is that Inter is just way too good, they will probably win this one as well.

And even if they do not, they will still be champions for sure, but they will surely want to try and win this game. I have wagered on all three major ones, inter, Juventus, Milan, I believe Inter will not disappoint me this week. Next week is even better, all three play lower level teams and have easy win chances.
3717  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don’t Panic V on: April 18, 2021, 06:51:47 PM
^  I’d love to say ‘don’t panic’ but that has me worried, not gonna lie.  I feel like it’s gonna be a major blood bath first thing on Monday mornings of Asia, Europe then the US.  Keep watch on the hourly.

but there is no reason for the drop we had apart from panic selling by weak hands and when it is because of FUD it can not become bigger. right now price is sitting at 92% of yesterday's price (only 8% drop). which is a normal thing for a correction too.
There is a reason, it is not manipulation, it is not speculation, it is purely automatic and will go back up surely. The huuuuuuuuge amount of money that was borrowed in USDT at binance was liquidated, there were tons of people who did that, in billions of dollars, and when they got cashed out, it dropped more and cashed out more and just kept going until it wasn't that bad and all of it was liquidated.

It is not really anyone doing it, it is just automatic, when the price dropped just a slight bit, that triggered one wave, which triggered another and just automatically dropped. All the news about why it dropped is wrong because this is literally proven and factual data that could be tracked and seen, as long as we have that we know that it is neither manipulation nor pump/dump situation, it is purely unwanted auto move that was resulted by people who borrowed too much.
3718  Economy / Speculation / Re: Your price expectations for 2021 on: April 18, 2021, 04:29:24 PM
I am beginning to wonder or worry that BTC is running out of steam
Yes we got a new ATH this week but we always then have a correction. I am not saying its the top or anything but wonder could the bull run end earlier than we thought
It changes so much doesn't it? I mean I have been expecting to move over 50k, that was seriously the one, I believed we would go over 40k for sure but I wanted to see over 50k, and now we are already at 60k, the thing I wanted for the whole year has already happened and we are in April, so there is still so much month to go. I can't really "predict" anymore because I do not know how high it could get, it is definitely way more than I can imagine that's true, we have peaked at around 64k I think? That is 14k more than I imagined in the first 4 months, so god knows how high it could get as well, it would probably go a lot more higher.

I mean I do understand that it may not even go higher, from here on out it could technically just go down and stay down and just crash, is that a possibility? Of course it is, but the looks of it suggest it may go even higher.
3719  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price has reached new high price near 59K on: April 18, 2021, 03:45:39 PM
To me the numbers never lie, the bitcoin dominance has been slowly falling over the last months and it is barely above 50% this means that overall altcoins have been more profitable during that time, also bitcoin once again surpassed our expectations and now it is trading for a price of 55k, I really think that some people were caught using leverage by the bears and this create a domino effect and that is what created such an important drop in the price.
But, never need to worry on these kinds of corrections and your probable reason of getting liquidated in leverage market definitely a reasonable one and this is why we never need to concern of getting to $55k region suddenly from $60k levels; just part of every market and bitcoin may bounce back at any time soon.

And in my opinion also, dominance in marketcap is just another number that most people are considering to compare and to take investment decision but honestly it is not having any economic value. I do never consider about dominance of bitcoin market and where it is heading.
3720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crazy Dogecoin run 100x in 2 years on: April 18, 2021, 02:55:47 PM
There are a couple of coins that did 100x over this period of time.
I'm not sure what are the coins you are referring but none of them are appreciating from the levels of 30 satoshi to 700+ satoshi but must be the unique case of dogecoins. Even bitcoin is known for rising up to 10x or 20x in four years of time but only very few altcoins got potential to do like this and here the potential could be anything and for the case of dogecoins it is like attracting investors for some reason and nothing more or nothing less.

There will not be a strong fall; against the general background, the cryptocurrency will fall in about the same way.
I strongly doubt it; because all the whales who are pumping dogecoins definitely will prefer to book profits at some price levels which cannot be predictable hence other investors and traders will be trapped at that time but  this is an usual thing in this crypto space.
