3701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: At what point do we confirm the long term aspect of a project is guaranteed? on: June 28, 2021, 04:18:55 PM
AT WHAT POINT OR DAY DO WE SAY THAT THE LONG TERM ASPECT OF BITCOIN HAS BEEN ACCOMPLISH?
I think to understand that a coin is sustainable for the long period is to look into it's history, that's why Bitcoin is much more recognized as a long term project than other cryptocurrencies, it actually has a history that users can look into and understand it's price movements and how well it has accomplished or functioned in accordance with why it was created in the first place; Bitcoin is much more appealing to people cause all the years it's been around, people are aware or can research on how good it has been.

Having said that, many altcoins, DeFi projects, shitcoins do not even have a history to begin with, some are relatively new and are more or less pump and dump coins, that's not to say it's just how long a coin has been in the market that determines it's long term sustainability, quite a lot of altcoins have been in the market for a while, but have zero use cases, nothing to really appeal to it's users, it's a sign that sooner rather than later nobody will own it anymore. Bitcoin passes all this tests highlighted, thus it can unarguably be referred to as a coin for the long period.
3702  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Go ahead and invest when ever you are ready on: June 27, 2021, 04:18:41 PM
Even if it drops it will still come up, it has been happening sometimes back , and this will not be the first time.
Nonetheless, even if you believe in Bitcoin to pick up after it's correction/plunge period, you still shouldn't forget not to invest what's more than you can afford to lose, there are investors who are relatively new to the network and know that Bitcoin more often than not recovers after a correction, but they go ahead to invest more than they can afford to lose, doing such will affect your RL activities and can move one to sell in panic at every manipulation that comes up in the media like that of Elon, China, etc.
One can't predict the market you maybe thinking it price will still fall low but unfortunately it may come  up unexpectedly.
The truth is that there is no good time for one to make investment , it is something that one can start anytime depending when you are ready.
Of course, but in my opinion it is short term hodlers and investors who want to get rich quick that are too much concerned with the price of Bitcoin before they buy, don't get me wrong, I know it's much better to purchase during a dip, but long term hodlers sometimes do not necessarily have wait for a dip to accumulate, they can buy anytime they sense a fair price, but investors who want to pull out asap/as soon as they accrue some ROI will always want a dip, so with any little spike they can make profits.

Belgium Vs Portugal :> My pick is Cristiano Ronaldo  Wink
I know pretty well that people who love Ronaldo will want Portugal to go through, but imo, I don't think Portugal stands a chance against this Belgium side today, I'm afraid the defending champions will be knocked out, except of course if an upset happens, Portugal haven't really been good in the tournament thus far, and I know it was in this same manner they became champions in the last Euro tournament, but I seriously doubt the same will be repeated. Belgium will win today and progress, I'm looking forward to seeing them in the final of the tournament depending though on the teams they meet en route.
3704  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China might really be out of Bitcoin and the cryptospace on: June 27, 2021, 09:36:39 AM
In my opinion, I know it's difficult for the miners in terms of relocating, but it is what it is, and that's that China no longer want any of crypto in their country, I know this can have its own negative effects in the short period, but if the miners move on and start doing business again somewhere else, then they can start their recovery and in the long run forget about China and their dictatorial policies.

Having said that, I still think many of the Chinese decision regarding crypto could be as a result of their digital currency plans (digital Yuan), they are used to control, and will control their CBDC, and since they can't do same to Bitcoin and other dex crypto, it then makes sense for them to do away with it.

Timo Werner's agent has insisted the German striker, 25, will remain at Chelsea, despite being linked with Real Madrid. This is very good news for Chelsea, now it would be perfect for Werner to start scoring goals  Grin
I'm somewhat surprised Werner was linked to Real Madrid after his disappointing performances for Chelsea this season, Werner needs to do better at Stamford Bridge next season, or else Chelsea could seriously start thinking about selling him to another team, the thing is Tuchel likes Werner and I'm sure he'll be trying his best to bring the best out of him come next season.
Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane wants to join Manchester United this summer, though a stumbling block would be the 28-year-old France international's wages, believed to be as much as £400,000 a week. A very large salary that few clubs can give today at a time of great financial crisis in football.
With the exit of Ramos from Madrid, I'm not quite sure that Real will be ready to lose Varane as well, it'll basically mean losing their two center halves at the same time, Manchester United on the other hand do not look in dire need of a defender, I think there are other positions in attack that United should prioritize.
3706  Economy / Economics / Re: Deutsche Bank issues dire economic warning for America on: June 26, 2021, 04:03:13 PM
Will inflation and negative economic issues materialize into legitimate troubles for the USA? What does everyone think.
It definitely will, but the thing is, it's not just in the U.S alone, the United States weren't the only country to print more money or to take policies that have consequences in a bid to control the pandemic. I personally do not blame the United States for some of the things they did to control the pandemic. I mean, if you look at it from different perspectives you'd understand that it was something they had to do, they were pretty aware of the consequences, but the pandemic was taking its toll and something really had to be done, they resulted to printing money, it was somewhat bad, but I just feel they had to do it.

Each and every country will also feel the impact of the pandemic as well as their decisions/policies to control it, what's required now is better economic measures in order to recover from the damage of what already has been done, but notwithstanding, the consequences must surely be felt sooner rather than later.

This whole situation around eriksen inhibited the Danes a lot at the beginning, which is of course absolutely understandable. After the news came that Eriksen was better, the situation turned around and you now have the feeling that the Danes can now play freely and even show a slightly better performance than normal because they are now playing for their team-mate. That was really evident in the game against Russia, where they really gave everything.
I second that as well, I'm pretty sure the event is going to give them an extra motivation, it may not lead them to the title, but it could take them past Wales, or against any team of almost equal talents with them. Thus I'm expecting a really good performance from Denmark today cause even the neutrals will be supporting them, just for Eriksens sake. I predict a 2-1 victory for Denmark in this game.
3708  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Still thinks that crypto is manipulation free? on: June 26, 2021, 11:49:03 AM
It's not the right time to start buying crypto coins right now because the next chapter for crypto with be filled with lots of bad news just to pull crypto value down and down so that they can buy for way cheaper price, who are they anyways? We'll figure that out yourself, bear market is 💯 real and it's coming, be prepared for more bad news
For long term investors, anytime is prolly the right time to buy Bitcoin, I am specific about Bitcoin cause it's the only long term project I trust and believe in, imo, altcoins are more or less short term projects cause they pump and dump quite fast, thus notwithstanding the manipulations that tend to bring BTC price down for the meantime, they should not bother you if you're a long term investor, except for 'get rich quick investors' who are always wary of when to buy BTC cause they prolly want to pull out sooner rather than later.

Having said that, for altcoin investors, it's not bad to sell when there's a bear market in sight cause most of the coins you're hodling could dump and that could be it for them, thus taking ROI is indeed not a bad thing to do, manipulations tend to affect altcoins most cause many of them are short term projects that aren't sustainable.
3709  Economy / Economics / Re: INPUT =OUTPUT (REAL LIFE EVALUATION) on: June 25, 2021, 04:24:26 PM
Using these evaluations and some other which you have come across a how true is the saying that INPUT=OUTPUT.
Going by my observations, it's not always the case, and it depends a lot on what's been put in (input) and the expected returns (output); people can put in quite a lot of effort into whatsoever they are doing, but with little end product. The thing is, OP you're mistaken 'hard work' for efficiency, the fact that one engages in menial jobs doesn't mean such person is putting in an awful amount of effort into what they are doing, and even if they are, then output would not be sufficient cause the input is prolly not what is required by the society in such a given time.

Having said that, individuals who 'work smart' may not look like they are putting in an awful amount of effort into what they are doing, but they actually are, what society needs right now is solution to problems, and it's the individuals who 'work smart' that provides such solution, take the case of Bitcoin, the effort and hard work put in by Satoshi must have been enormous, but it wasn't open for everyone to see, but the output speaks for itself as it solved quite a lot of problems when it comes to finance.
3710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: June 25, 2021, 04:10:28 PM
According to today's reports,Arsenal are on the verge of signing both Sterling and Mahrez from Mancity, after Arsenal owner Kreonke handed Mikel Arteta a whooping $250 million for transfers this season. And Arteta have seen the both wingers as the only signings who can transform the club into tittle contenders.Nevertheless,It is yet to be seen if the both players would prefer a move to north London this summer.
Even if Mahrez and Sterling are to leave City, their destination is definitely not going to be Arsenal, the two players will cost quite a lot of money and we know Arsenal for not being the big money spending team, except that's going to change, and even if it is, City wouldn't be stupid enough to sell their key players to a premier league team, so I can't really trust the credibility of the news cause I'm pretty sure we'd definitely not be seeing any of the players in Arsenal's colors next season.
3711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 25, 2021, 02:35:52 PM
I just read that and I have to say it would really be a weird transfer for City. They need a fullback, a striker and probably 1 more central midfielder and they want to spend a huge part of their budget on a winger while they still have Sterling, Foden, Mahrez and Torres.
I have to agree with you, I don't think City needs Grealish, he's a fantastic player no doubt, but with the amount that's needed to sign him, City have more important signings to make than that, except maybe pep has a plan as he always does and maybe he'll be deploying Grealish in a different position that the one he's accustomed to at Villa.

But even having said that, if City are to make a big money signing, then they must as well make a big money sale to balance it all up, including the issue with FFP, it'd be interesting to see the decision the club takes from now till the beginning of the season in mid August in terms of signing and selling players.
3712  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you worry about not being able to convert BTC to fiat in future on: June 25, 2021, 12:48:01 PM
In the Philippines, the government is too busy fighting for the seat of power to worry about this and the other social issues happening right now, it may sound political but that's really the case so in summary, they won't probably think about until the next president is inaugurated.
Do not be too sure about that, the Nigerian government also have similar problems plaguing their nation, such as Insecurity, unemployment and the rest, but yet they still placed similar sanctions on crypto transaction, thus any government can just turn and place one form of sanction/ban or regulations and that's that. Governments rule through control, since Bitcoin is decentralized, their control is only limited to some regulations and Bitcoin users should expect such regulations at any time, notwithstanding the situation of the country of their residence.

3713  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How has crypto positively impacted your life? on: June 25, 2021, 12:12:03 PM
My involvement with Bitcoin has awaken my consciousness in matters that concern my security and privacy; "being your own bank" is a feature associated with Bitcoin, quite a lot of users prior to getting into the network were simply content allowing others handle their funds and didn't care as well in who's hands their data is in or will fall into, making them vulnerable to robbery.

Axioms like "not your keys, not your coins", and the aspect of control and freedom of funds is in itself didactic, people learn how to be more careful with their funds, to keep their data safe so robbery/$5 wrench attacks don't happen etc, that's quite a lot of impact already, without yet mentioning that it as well is a hedge to inflation and the ROI it can give investors.
3714  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 24, 2021, 10:46:41 PM
There have been rumors about Sergio Ramos looking to join PSG after leaving Real Madrid as a free agent. But there is something could be complicating things for him as according to the French "Le10 Sport" website, Nasser Khelaifi president PSG, specifically wants to return Brazilian defender David Luiz to PSG,
Luiz announced his departure from Arsenal at the end of last season, while French league duo Marseille and Rennes showed interest in the player.
If PSG manages to convince Ramos to join their team, then it's a very good recruitment in my opinion, PSG have one goal, and it's basically to win the champions league, acquiring the services of Sergio Ramos who is a multiple time winner of the CL can give then an extra boost and motivation to go on and win the crown for the first time.

I can understand why PSG's president want's Luiz rather, he is an ex player and prolly had a very good relationship with the club owner during his stay in France, thus Nasser wants to compensate him in this way, imo, I think it's what's best for the club that needs it be done, and the best looks like signing Ramos instead of David Luiz.
3715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth investing in coins you believe in? on: June 24, 2021, 08:38:37 PM
Similarly to the stock mentioned above, I do have the same kind of interest for coin Oracle ($ORA), it’s quite new so I don’t expect many to know it. I really believe in the platform they want to create (just for context it’s a NFT market for ideas, so you just buy others’ ideas) and I would like to see their project created and support them long term,
I just hope you're not shilling for this coin above (Oracle).
But btw, when investing in a project, what's of most importance should be it's long term sustainability, users should not go after 'lottery' coins cause they are as well pump and dump coins and you could prolly not escape the dump.

If you believe in the Bitcoin network like most of us do, then you'd prolly not think too much about altcoins because they are more for the short period of time, unlike Bitcoin that has a network that will function for a very long time.
3716  Economy / Economics / Re: Founders of South African Bitcoin exchange disappear after $3.6 billion 'hack' on: June 24, 2021, 05:37:28 PM
I mean going by the name of the exchange, scheme, site or whatever and the amount lost in question, it's pretty simple that quite a lot of people still need to put Investing in Bitcoin on hold and learn what the network is all about, and inculcate the security protocols so as to use them in matters relating to crypto.

Having said that, the people whose money make up the $3.6 billion dollars prolly invested more than they can afford to lose, they failed to be their own bank cause if you're not in possession of your keys, whoever is with it can take it at any given time, they were also gullible to believe the trick of not reporting the matter early enough so it wouldn't slow down the investigation process, that's pretty silly for anyone to believe. The victims went contrary to quite a lot of tenets inherent in the network to keep users safe, thus it's no surprise their funds is in the hands of some boys hiding somewhere, or who prolly themselves might have given it up to someone else.
3717  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: To diversify or not to diversify... on: June 24, 2021, 05:00:16 PM
...and then add some good other altcoins that will perform well like ADA, SOL , depending on the ones that their project structure interests you.
The thing is if OP wants to invest in the network on a long term basis, then I'd remove altcoins from the recommendation, altcoins are more or less short term projects and quite a lot of them are shitcoins/pump and dump and lottery coins, thus they are not coins you just buy and 'sit back', they'll prolly dump on you if you do that.

Ones own research remains a very important key to investing, OP should make research into other viable investment options that prolly doesn't include altcoins, crypto isn't the only investment resource available to investors and if you'd want to invest only in crypto, then it's actually not a bad idea if all your coins is Bitcoin.
3718  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If China is so bad for miners, why aren't they moving? on: June 23, 2021, 08:38:32 PM
The first thing that always comes up as an answer is cheap electricity, but is it that cheap and a good enough reason to do business in a country with an authoritarian regime and hostile attitude towards Bitcoin? The electricity rate in China is certainly lower than in most of the EU, but there seem to be tons of countries with even lower electricity rates, some of which seem like viable options for mining farms (Ukraine, Georgia, Turkey etc.). So why is China still the #1 country for miners if there are other options and if China isn't that great?
Prior to the ban, you could say the number of miners in China was high for one reason such as cheap electricity, but that's not the reason why mining is still done in China in a large scale. After having established any business, it becomes difficult to change location immediately, and that's also applicable to the mining industry, you do not just expect those miners to change their locations so easily, it'd take quite a lot of logistics, that'll by extension take some time.

And having said that, the miners could also be closely monitoring the situation, maybe to see if the Chinese government would change it's stand on their decision regarding mining in China.
3719  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can we post and comment by following the one section? on: June 20, 2021, 03:24:10 PM
So if we do post and comment following only one section then what will be its effect on our account how will we have negative effect is there chances of our account being bann because of this?
It's actually more productive than not posting in only the few boards you like and understand what's being discussed in them, some sections of the forum have sterner rules on what's posted in it than others, the mining board for example is strict in filtering the content posted there and anything not up to standard would be deleted or moved, but unlike the beginners and help section, here mods are more lenient with users, especially newbies cause this is the area of the forum were they make enquiries, it could be of low quality, but it doesn't matter all the time.

Having said that, it's basically now up to the users to choose the section they know they can communicate, and stay there, the good thing is, not posting in a particular board doesn't stop you from reading there, so you can still read posts in the section you can't really communicate in as a result of insufficient knowledge, and thus, if there's an improvement in your knowledge, you can now try out those sections of the forum.
3720  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: June 20, 2021, 01:56:23 PM
@Coyster for Liverpool to challenge they’ll need to splash the funds in the transfer market, and so far they haven’t made any moves for any player’s. Lastly in my personal opinion only Tuchel is the only real competitor for Pep, but if he too let’s success gets to his head then he’ll suffer defeats.
I don't really think Liverpool have to spend too much if they are to challenge for the title, it looks that way cause they had quite a lot of players injured and all of them will be back before the beginning of next season, thus they just need to strengthen in one or two positions and they are all set to try and win back their crown from City.

Having said that, Chelsea still looks like the strongest contender to challenge City cause Tuchel has been doing very well, but then, we can't overlook United and Liverpool as they'll as well push hard for the title.
