Can't we instatag this fool?
There's no such need. If anyone falls for this foolish ruse, they don't belong on the internet anyway.

He's tagged accordingly, as I see in his profile. Hope he refunds you guys from the proceeds of the sale.
3703  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mt Gox Hacked - lost it all today... now what!? on: January 23, 2013, 04:39:26 PM
I am really astonished about the level of abuse that some Forum members subject the people that get their accounts hacked for.

Someone posts that their account gets hacked and all of a sudden that person is called a lot of names ranging from stupid to much worse.

Is it not enough that he/she lost their Bitcoins?

I am also surprised that Mt Gox has such a high standing in the community that anyone that does not talk favorably about them get
their threads spammed and again are called names and worse.

Please, think before you post and dont post drunk.

/GoK
Title is misleading. He got hacked not MtGox.

Very Misleading, Please fix!

Agreed. Added a single word.

Cablepair's account is compromised. Please treat any correspondence with him as fake until we can confirm that he has obtained control back to his account.

FWIW, I don't believe it.  I think it was really him posting.

I hope you guys can restore the posts if that proves to be the case.  I think they're important for ppl to see.

+2 they were exactly like the wild rambling in his previous tipsy posts..

if it was compromised perhaps he gave out his password(s) in his drunken state.. if so lets hope only his bitcointalk account was the only thing accessed and nothing related to bASIC customer orders.

His logs says otherwise. We've resetted his account and logged all active sessions out.
So I take it the logs say it was his normal IP the person was logging in from?
The IP's should be different from his regular IP. You'll have to ask theymos for the exact variation, though.

I'd like to be able to better admin tools personally, nothing worse than having 32 spammers popping up all over the place and having to single click them all to get rid of them Sad

phpbb3 supports that out of the box. Just paste a list of names into the moderator console, click ban button, goodbye.
Problem is they pop up faster than those whack-a-mole moles. It's a PITA whacking all in time.

You would get customers if you would have established a reputation first

Why, do you feel he's not legit?
I'm just feeling apprehensive to purchase from someone unknown without a proper domain.

I can do the Romanian translation as I can see that's on the to-do list.
I hope I'm not disconsidered for being a newish member, I'll get to work in a few hours if it's ok!

Salut!
Before you waste your time, please notice that:

Well, this is odd. It was under "Translator Needed" yesterday when I PM'ed him, also when I wrote the post.
He could've at least modify the status or announce that somebody was working on it.
You'll have to get a confirmation from Ben before starting the translation- he is always swamped by the work on blockchain.info considering that he's the sole admin and customer service guy.

PS: I don't really think Nemesis reads or speaks a word of Chinese. He's the one trolling someone who spoke Chinese in the Avalon thread that I deleted after all.
3717  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Interested in AVALON guy? Come on, let me show u his TRUE COLOR. on: January 22, 2013, 05:55:58 PM
Without miners there would be no Bitcoin or other alt cryptocurrency. Treating miners like that is truly idiotic.

That's indicative for the mining of other commodities. My dad, in his mid teens, and grandfather worked as coal miners in Belgium, putting in twelve hour shifts, exiting the hole literally covered head-to-toe in black soot, hence the term "black lung".

Moussa Koboura (12) searches for gold in pit that is 5ft deep
in the Sirguin region, Burkina Faso.

The above shown, bitcoin miners deserve the utmost respect, no matter where they reside on the chain.

I look forward the reading the entire translation of the provided screenshots, with at the very least a respected member stating either there's nothing to see here (move on), or somebody's eating more than Ramen noodles.

It's too long to translate. But the first message from killthelion is "Would you (I think he's talking to NGZ) like to note down my phone number, so you can inform me at that time?" There is no clue from the conversation suggesting what time is "that time". It may either mean the delivery of the first batch, or the availability of the second batch. As BitSyncom said none of these people have actually ordered, I guess killthelion was talking about 2nd batch availability but not 1st batch delivery.

NGZ and some other people said he would talk on the phone if the order is >30 units. Killthelion kept trolling and said NGZ was not respecting him, so NGZ said "just now some guy got a hallucination that i ever showed any respect to miners"

This is my comment: This "killthelion" thought NGZ should serve him like a VIP while he was only going to order 1-2 units.

In Chinese, we say "a man got insult from others because he insulted himself first". Here you can see what it means.
+1 what jl2012 said. Basically, killthelion and co (another guy who was blocked on chat by ngzhang for trolling) is going around with an agenda of their own.

Inaba at this point would be swearing like mad now.  Roll Eyes

Bitinstant has claimed to have paid me once again. I even edited this thread to resolved... but it was just another deception. My coins were not sent and I feel very abused.

Bitinstant still has not sent my coins, even after 5 days. Their customer support is taking more than 24hrs to make a single reply and this scam smells worse and worse with every pass.

DO NOT TRUST BITINSTANT.COM. They've stolen from me and will probably do the same to you. Bastards!

I have every intention of legal filing. This is way out of hand!

I will continue to update this thread throughout the process.

Can you address this?

This customer has repeatdly claimed that we stole from him however has not provided any Order ID, proof of an actual order or anything.

This customer personally PM'd me and told me he would email me personally, I have yet to get any email.

I believe this customer is just spamming and spreading FUD.
3719  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Jakers is Scammer Beware on: January 22, 2013, 05:31:58 PM
Thanks John, I'm willing to provide information if anything does come up with Boilerman. However, I think he was just black mailing me because right when this thread popped up I got a message from him trying to extort money from me. He would of seen this too because his account is new and this is generally the only place he can hang out and post. I'm more than willing to provide any info in the case anything does come up. I'm sure the record of the purchases (if any) on his Best Buy gift card will surely clear things up though  Smiley
Can you provide a SS on his extortion message?
Boilerman, please provide more evidence like screenshots etc if you feel you have been unfairly scammed by Jakers.
