3701  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: January 08, 2020, 04:15:21 PM
I loved betting on Barcelona at 2 odds, I mean I understand that maybe they are looking out of form lately and not playing the best ball they played in years but we are talking about Barcelona here, sure Athletico Madrid is a good team and all (they have been consistently considered third best club in the past decade) but the level of talent gap is too huge to consider Barcelona at 2.00 odds.

Maybe if it was 1.6 or even 1.7 I would have understand, even 1.8 would have been realistic and understandable, but if I have a chance to double my money by betting on Barcelona I don't care if it is champions league finals I am still betting on Barça to win. After all of this said, it would be very sad if they lost the game Cheesy I would look like a total fool Cheesy.
3702  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: January 08, 2020, 03:22:18 PM
Even tho Mane was arguably best player from Africa all year, he was also a superbly nice human being as well which I am sure contributed a lot for him to win. That is what you see in the African community and African sports players. Not just soccer but all over the world, like look at NBA for example and how much African players in NBA bring back to their nations with buildings, charities, sports schools for kids to get better and get noticed, hospitals and many more stuff.

Sane lives a very calm and decent life and he constantly talks about how is life is basically similar to a regular human, if you worked in a white collar semi-average job you probably live around or better than Mane. There was a picture of him holding his phone which was broken and there was one after a while and it was still broken, dude can afford to buy new iphone 11 every single day with the amount of money he makes but he prefers to spend it on giving it away to people who are more in need.
3703  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to make big profits from exchanging bitcoin to altcoins on: January 08, 2020, 02:52:21 PM
Many people think the same way and how keeping bitcoin right now is a better investment but what many forgetting is that eternal advice of finance is to never put all your money into one thing.

I mean you shouldn't even keep all your money in bitcoin neither, should have commodities like gold and silver for example and then some foreign currencies then your own nations money to diverse fiat and also invest into stocks with crypto as well, if you do all of this in a basket of financial investments there is rarely anything that could ruin your finances.

Now aside from that you should also look into having many cryptos as well, mainly bitcoin is fine but never underestimate some of the other currencies like ethereum, eos, bnb and litecoin, they are decent as well and deserve a spot.
3704  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency usage will boost economy or make it worst ? on: January 08, 2020, 11:04:11 AM
If we could get to the level where bitcoin is used in the world normally like it is debit cards or something then it will help the economy and not hurt it. Maybe it will hurt the big banks and financial institutions because people move to bitcoin but it will also help regular people to spend what they have and not make any debts, because in bitcoin you can't spent what you don't have and that is one of the biggest problems of the economy we have right now.

Everyone has a debt, it could be a small credit card debt you pay at the start of the month, it could be mortgage or even larger but everyone does (very few people don't) so in the end moving to bitcoin would level and balance everyone's paychecks which would eventually help out middle class and low income instead of wealthy like the current system does.
3705  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 07, 2020, 05:27:27 PM
Honestly Atalanta is the clear team that divides the "good ones" and "not so good ones", I am not going to say rest of the league is bad because they would all be amazing in some other nations probably but compared to top 5 they are not so awesome. Atalanta is the team that is not as good as Juventus but clearly better than rest of the league in that top 5, listed at the 5th position. Sad part is Milan used to be in that top 5 constantly and they are one of the most known teams in the whole world yet they have been horrible this year.

But this is Italy, Juventus went down to Serie B with many other big teams, palermo bankrupted and in Serie D now and many more stuff like that happens in Italy. I guess its that horrible period for Milan now and in few years it will be like nothing happened and they would be fighting for a championship.
3706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will 2020 give new hope to Altcoin? on: January 07, 2020, 02:35:06 PM
Altcoins have to give altcoins a new hope. For the past 2 years nothing new has ever emerged from the altcoin world, they keep on "improving" but X coin does Y coins thing into their blocckhain and Y does it from Z coins and vice versa so they are all not actually improving but adding each others features into their own without a real improvement to blockchain or altcoin world that didn't existed.

Some maybe improving the current system and doing it better like maybe DASH being more private than it used to be but obviously that is not the issue they have neither. So, altcoins need to improve their game a bit if they want to have a good year this year. If not worst case scenario maybe bitcoin will go up a lot and altcoins will gain value in fiat terms even if not in bitcoin terms.
3707  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Realistic 3x - 5x on: January 06, 2020, 05:38:27 PM
IEO is not a bad investment, its not a good investment neither, IEO is just the method of investment. Its like saying "stocks are good investments", its half true only, stocks could be good but which stocks, same goes here as well, IEO could be good, IEO could be bad, if you invest into an IEO of a coin that is great then you could make a lot of money, if you invest into a bad coins IEO then you will lose money simple as that.

I personally invested into just one single IEO so far and made profit back in the day but then I didn't even checked what happened to it, I made my profit and went on my way, seeing here it looks like it made some profits after me as well but that is not something I hang on to, as long as I made profit the "I could have made more" is not a problem as much as losing money.
3708  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Death of ICOs on: January 06, 2020, 04:46:11 PM
I think they are not going down as much as people imagine, back in the day there was no STO or IEO in the market at all and now there is IEO+STO+ICO all together in the market, if you get all of them combined you would realize that its actually not as bad as you imagine it is, that is why I highly suggest combining the funding of all three of those and checking out the back in the day investments to just ICO and you will see that there is not much difference, sure there still is but not as much as people think.

When it was just bitcoin and litecoin the volume was just between those two and domination of btc was high, now there are thousands and of course btc domination is lower, its something like that for the ICO as well, there still is a lower value but not enough to make a deal out of it.
3709  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold and blockchain Technology on: January 06, 2020, 01:10:17 PM
From a simple research how much gold in laptops and smartphones, the google shows that its a very tiny amount and its in old computers, the results vary from those old white huge computers having about 9 dollars worth of gold per computer (which is the highest that can be found but they are very old, 90's style so not many left that is intact) and in the newer versions there is usually so so little that per ton of smartphones there is 10 ounces of gold and five ounces in 200 laptops, so its a lot lot less nowadays for sure because technology has found a way to use something other than gold to improve the current system.

Long story short its still used, its still relevant and gold prices do affect the miners in a minuscule level but its too small to really care.
3710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: January 05, 2020, 05:31:04 PM
I am not entirely sure if they will give Giannis another MVP, remember last year and how awesome he played and they still didn't give it to him, or remember year before that and Russel averaging triple double and carrying his team to playoffs and didn't give him back to back.

In old times nba gave back to back but recently there hasn't been any back to back for a while now and we are talking about years in a world where narratives change per month so I guess they really may not give any back to back mvp ever again? I don't know. No kidding I wouldn't be surprised if they gave the MVP to Anthony Davis this year, Giannis had it last year, harden before that, Luka could be seen too young for an mvp and Anthony Davis just came to Lakers and brought them from a team that missed the playoffs to a first rank team which could actually be considered a MVP move.
3711  Economy / Economics / Re: What is safe asset? And If USA dollar weakining what is Next Fiat? on: January 05, 2020, 04:43:10 PM
Maybe European euro? I mean it is still not a great fiat currency that we can support, no fiat currency is good enough to support but at least they do look like they are doing alright. It is strong in the sense that nations in Europe is not having some sort of crisis right now, looking at USA they have a ton of problems economically, looking at china they are doing amazing economically but politically it is a dictatorship that kills and harvests people so maybe not so strong politically.

However, there is nothing going on in Europe, maybe this brexit thing could have affected but it looks like it affected UK more than it affected EU and that is why Euro could be the strongest currency in the coming years. Still not that amazing considering it is still fiat but looks stronger than dollars.
3712  Economy / Economics / Re: Your plan if no significant move on Bitcoin price along with the halving? on: January 05, 2020, 04:12:22 PM
From what I see looking at the previous halving, I see that it takes about one year to make a big difference in the price, maybe that was just a coincidence, maybe that had nothing to do with halving but right now I can say that one year is a good long enough time to wait after the halving for a big increase.

I assume the logic is that miners are making 1800 bitcoins right now per day, if they spend 1200 to 1500 bitcoins as cost, and keep the rest of it in bitcoins, that would mean they would have enough to recover for a full year to actually not go bankrupt for it, after that price HAS TO go up or they would be not making any profits and losing too much money. So miners basically postpone the halving to a date where they don't have any extra bitcoins left. This is just an assumption tho.
3713  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betroar.io – Try Bit Brawlers! 💰 UPDATE 11/26: .001 BTC Airdrops Extended! 💰 on: January 05, 2020, 02:59:03 PM
^^Yeah, this place is getting to that level of "well isn't it long enough" period. I defended their bugs and problems and withdrawal issues and many more stuff like that back in the day but the more time has passed and there are still people complaining about stuff and they still haven't fixed many other stuff like airdrops on the website while not giving any or airdrop text here.

Maybe that guy actually abused the system and he really doesn't deserve money, I can understand that, there are tons of abusers in the bitcointalk community and we have seen them in many other casinos but that doesn't mean that betroar is working hard to fix things, it has been months now and we are still getting troubles and late updates which at first was okay because it was new but now not so great.
3714  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: January 04, 2020, 05:44:01 PM
When we talk about rookie of the season, do you really think that Zion could make a comeback and get it? I don't know how many games you have to play to be considered and he already missed a lot of games but he is training now and getting some 5v5 practice which means it is matter of time for him to make a comeback, if he makes that comeback this month and plays very well rest of the season without missing a game, would he be even eligible? If so, would he play good enough to become rookie of the year?

We all know he was always a good player and was easily the number one prospect but I doubt a rookie could make THAT much noise in half a season, if he does that means all the attention he got was warranted and he is actually as good as people think he is but I still doubt he is at that level yet, surely has some athletic and genetically awesomeness to him and some talent but not "play half a season and still beat out all other rookies" level of greatness.
3715  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: January 04, 2020, 05:12:39 PM
The problem with Liverpool was mentioned in upgrade00's post, I mean if they gave their full force to league and kept at fighting for each and every single game there is a chance they could become champions without losing a single game, it is possible however they are also so talented that it would be impossible for them to not contend for champions league title, even if they didn't want it, the worst this team will do will be quarter finals at worst, probably higher.

So, there is a chance of losing a game to even a horrible team out of pure unlucky game, there is a chance a team that is good like City doing all in their power to beat Liverpool, but on top of all of that there is also the fact that they may rest some key players for UCL like he said which is quite possible if Liverpool guarantees the league in their minds.

I think 100+ points is more likely at this point. Arsenal may have been invincible but they had ton of draws whereas 100 points is more likely even if Liverpool loses couple games.
3716  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paying with crypto is more accessible than ever on: January 04, 2020, 12:16:28 PM
Those that are saying this is an old data, you should take not that he said it’s a data of verified merchants that accepts these cryptocurrencies. Of course, this world is a really big place and there is no way you can get the exact number of merchants that are accepting cryptocurrencies, so you should only say what you’re sure of to avoid misleading people.

Assuming I was the one asked to mention where cryptocurrency is accepted I can’t even mention anything apart from Overstock, and that’s because it’s the only one I know. Then I am also aware that I can buy gift cards from Bitpay and I have been doing that for a few years now.
3717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any other games working with crypto? on: January 04, 2020, 12:37:25 AM
There are lots of crypto based games and most of them I know are not really graphically demanding and stuffs like that Grin they are just simple games that you can play for fun. You can check out games like – Eos Knight: from the name you already know that it is based on the EOS platform. It is kind of an action game where you fight villains and collect objects and gain experience as well.

Seems like Crypto-kitties is already popular in this forum so there is no need to mention it. Another good crypto based game is the OxUniverse where you explore the universe and conquer planets. The next game which I discovered on Medium is Spells of Genesis and of course I have tried it out and it’s really interesting to play.
3718  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your view on current crypto market? on: January 03, 2020, 04:58:58 PM
What's your view on current crypto market?
Altcoins are the ones that have been really disappointing , most of the altcoins I have are now way less the price I purchased at, just like Ethereum, Ripple and the rest of them. I’m really hoping that there is going to be a rebound starting from this year May after the Bitcoin halving.

As for Bitcoin, well, I would say it had a better year than every other cryptocurrency in the market and there is a better increase and profit compared to what I have seen in others. For this year I’m hoping to see a better movement than what we had in last year, the halving will change everything. Only for diversification purposes I do invest into altcoins and I am just believing into only bitcoins for long term holding.
3719  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com SPORTS BETTING NOW LIVE! 🏀 ⚾ 🏈 🎾 🥊 on: January 01, 2020, 04:02:30 PM
There are always those people we see that gamble with a lot of money and get super lucky as well but what we don't see in the background is that maybe they had to be very unlucky to reach this point, you don't know how much that person has lost before they won this big amount or we don't follow up what they do with the winnings, maybe they played for the very first time and won and they are in big profit but they didn't stopped and lost it all.

I always say the same thing when it comes to seeing a big win on a casino, remember there is always that chance that you can be the one who win a lot of money, however casinos are built with house edge that makes sure you lose so they can continue operations so there is always a big chance you end up losing as well.
3720  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com SPORTS BETTING NOW LIVE! 🏀 ⚾ 🏈 🎾 🥊 on: December 11, 2019, 07:42:18 AM
First glimpse on the UI, look like sportsbet. Good thing they do add up esports CSGO,DOTA2,LOL and Pubg.
It does! Wink I think thats what they were going for cause they are so popular among the crypto bookmakers! Grin
But they are coming along with bigger and better perks for those who stick with the site and use their platform more often, as I noticed late yesterday they have this newly made banner for those who are looking to physical treats offered.

Well, those gifts are of course for the VIP people who already gamble a lot, it is incentives type of thing to get you gambling more and not a competition or a promotion. If you gamble lets say 200 bitcoins at a place there is a big chance you lose 2 bitcoins (the 1% house edge) and that equals to you spending 15k for the gifts (or at least chance of those gifts) now of course it is a good thing that they are giving back and it is a great way to drop the house edge for whales but I would have preferred if it was for everyone instead of just the whales so we would all have the same chance.

For example, another place is doing a Lambo giveaway and 1 ticket will win it all, sure you can be whale and have many many tickets and a chance to win but even a person with one ticket could win as well, those type of stuff is much more fun for people like me who can't afford VIP status.
