3701  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: April 19, 2017, 07:14:44 AM
I think it is better to cash out and play in other Dice games if you really want to gamble, other sites should offer you a much better house edge than Freebitco.in.
So basically I just count it as a faucet or a bank (maybe...haha).
It is one of the longest running faucet and almost every bitcoin user started with freebitcoin and it is quite obvious that everyone experience their first dice rolls in the site and some get glued to the fun ride, yes it does have a higher house edge than other gambling sites but if you are lucky you will be winning the coins, even with a house edge of 0% could end up loosing your coins if you are not that lucky. Wink

the problem is not having a higher house edge the problem is with having a much higher house edge Smiley
in other words, while other dice gambling sites are competing with each other to offer even a slightly smaller house edge and have house edges of 1% and 0.9% we see freebitcoin has a house edge of 5% (if I am not mistaken) which is already 5 times bigger than other places.

what you said would have been true if it was the difference between 1% and at most 1.5% not 5%
3702  Economy / Gambling / Re: ADMIRALSPOT.COM | DEPOSIT 0.5 BTC PLAY WITH 1 BTC on: April 19, 2017, 07:04:17 AM
hi admiralspot..

i want to ask something, why is that i cant get into you site? i have a good internet connection but i am having trouble getting in right now..
it only flashes the loading screen. nothing more. is this some kind of a bug o what? or are you at maintenance right now?

thank you.
regards.

what do you mean by "flashes the loading screen". if you can open the website then it most probably is not a problem with your cache it is a problem with loading it, in other words internet connection (but you say you have a good one!) so it may be JavaScript problem.
what browser are you using and is it updated? and also have you tried using another browser, for example the latest version of Google Chrome should work.
I just checked and I could access the website. it may also have been some temporary problem with the server, have you tried accessing the site again at other time?

@Pursuer, i am using a google chrome but i dont think if i have the updated version. i will visit again the site to know it is is already working. if not i will follow your tips. if nothing happen still, i will get back to you as soon as i can. thank you.

regards.

This is also one of my problem. Most of the time when i want to reach the site it will suddenly popped out 403 error or sometimes it would say your privacy is not safe beyond boundaries, and i've been curious why it happen sometimes and sometimes it wont. I'll try your suggestions, and as soon as i can access ill let you know here thanks again.

your problem seems to be different than his, he said the site opens and it only "flashes the page" you are seeing a proper error called 403 error and that is a "forbidden error" as doomistake also mentioned. you can read about it here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_403

@JENREM
I checked with Google Chrome Version 57.0.2987.133 (64-bit) and everything is fine. it loads a bit slow but that is because of my slow internet connection Tongue
3703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is there any news for STEEM that led to the pump on: April 18, 2017, 06:36:01 AM
I am updating this to say I hope everyone enjoyed the 70% rise in STEEM so far as much as I did or better say the 50% rise because I got in after the early rise and got out faster than the max top. but it was a fast ~2 days profit which makes it awesome profit.

in any case I have found no news on this rise so I made my exit, it may still go up higher and the charts even look it but I have other coins to invest in with less risk.

I've also moved this topic to speculation board since I think that is more appropriate anyways.

if you have anything to add about STEEM price rise let me know.

3705  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitfinex- bank blocked all their deposits on: April 18, 2017, 06:19:15 AM
Bitfinex doesn't have competent team behind and they always have some glitches and they are known to have lots of security holes. I still can't forget how they got hacked few months ago which lead to massive price crash. They must shut down their exchange and we must stay away from them.

I have already stopped using them after they got hacked.

not sure if this is angry posting or if you have some facts in comparison to back this up.
we all know that ALL cryptocurrency exchanges have many problems. the first of which is the risk of holding money in these places since they can run away and they are not regulated.
also they all have server problems. there are no exchanges so far that doesn't go down with a simple surge of traffic for example when price is rising fast or falling fast. they all go down! server crash!

and as for hacks, they happen. it is important to see if they were really hacked or if they run away afterwards.
for instance btc-e has been hacked at least once (I think in 2014 or 13 but not sure about time) and they are still around and have paid their users in full.

as long as there isn't a better alternative we are stuck with this type of exchange platforms and they are ALL the same.

what is happening bitsler ?  Undecided
everyday now have at least 6 downtimes

Hello sir,

We are sorry for the slowdown. Again a big ddos attack. I should complains to the people who are running the attacks. I am wondering who they are. ( or not )

We are working on it.

Cheers,

Big ddos attack? Is it that big ddos? It just some traffic problem right about this error? And btw how can you even complain to the one who make that ddos to your site? I do not think if they want to here this thing and sort this thing up, because of it is their job to put that ddos and I do not think they will talk nicely without giving some ransom to them

that is what a DDoS attack looks like not what traffic looks like. and it is understandable that these sites get attacked. it can be a butthurt player who lost money or most probably a competing dice site who has lost some of his traffic lately and tries to get some of them back. you know when people see one site down and they are aching to gamble they go elsewhere.

and I believe he means "blame the attackers" not complain Tongue
3707  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is there any news for STEEM that led to the pump on: April 17, 2017, 05:41:14 AM
I'm wondering the same thing! :-)

Out of curiosity, what do use to get your price alerts?
my own bot.
a very simple tool run on my (nearly all day on) computer contacting the exchange API and receiving the price history and making some simple analysis to give me alerts when there is a movement starting up Wink

I am also trying to import it on my android but that proves to be harder than I thought.

I couldn't find anything on it. so my guess is a normal pump and the normal pumper money moving around to 100%-200% pump each coin and get out to the next.

that's all you need to know. right now something called pinkcoin is 500% up. there ain't no reason for that either. i've given up looking for news. 98% of the time the only news is that it's pump time again.
haha, that is correct. there was a coin called J (yeah just J) that went up something crazy out of nowhere like that.
but I am looking for news because if there is also some news coupled with the pump, the pump can go higher otherwise I would be thinking about exiting.

it's pump time again

actual, i think $millions of cap is fleeing BTC;
finally, diversification, odd feature is the ALT frenzy 2017 is helping BTC price support, because $500-$200M of the B is needed 24/7 to fuel this new game.
it is not the first time altcoin market is full of pumps. it is called
Pumping Season
for a reason.
and only panicky newbies flee bitcoin for a pumping altcoin while the rest of us make more bitcoin as they buy our altcoins at higher prices and end up bagholding them.
3708  Economy / Gambling / Re: ADMIRALSPOT.COM | DEPOSIT 0.5 BTC PLAY WITH 1 BTC on: April 17, 2017, 05:28:06 AM
if you claim two editNO deposit bonuses they will forfeit your bonus and accuse you for bonus farming and forfeit your winnings if you come close to completing bonus
scam
the bonus is one per person not one per account.
what you did is called abuse and the site has all the rights to deny you both bonuses and block you from using their services every again.
the deposit bonus is like a welcome gift to be like an incentive to new players to come and play there not for users to make multiple accounts and claim the gift multiple times.
3709  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [F2Pool and SegWit] What do we think of the "Wang" on: April 16, 2017, 07:25:32 AM
Price moves positiively with positive segwit news, doesn't take rocket science to know this. But anyhow, we can't and we must not trust Wang Chun, he changes his opinion on segwit a lot, at any moment he can stop segwit support! I hope this doesn't happen, because price will go down.

the price will go up and down no matter what

price is being affected by the news. we saw the effect in litecoin (which is a smaller scale market than bitcoin) and we have been seeing it in bitcoin with other news.
so it does matter what Smiley

I am sure that he has been under a lot of pressure to take a position on the scaling debate, and from what I can tell, he does not like either (SegWit/Bitcoin Unlimited) option. I suspect that both sides were attempting to get him to take their respective sides.

I feel bad for him because of all the pressure he has been under.

From what I can tell, he was coerced into signaling for SegWit.

this sounds plausible specially since F2Pool blocks are still containing the "EXT.." (extension block) flag in them (signaling what they want which is neither of these). but I don't like this saying that I keep hearing here and there that they started signaling because they were under DDoS attack, if that is true, then it is so bad.

I still haven't gotten any answers to this question:

3710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / is there any news for STEEM that led to the pump on: April 16, 2017, 07:11:20 AM
from earlier this morning (local time) I found out with an alert that STEEM is rising up and surely enough that rise haven't yet stopped and price is still rising. so far less than 20% rise.

I couldn't find anything on it. so my guess is a normal pump and the normal pumper money moving around to 100%-200% pump each coin and get out to the next.

if there is anything else please fill me in too.

also how much do you think this will go up. it is a small market and it has gone up to 33000 satoshi recently so that can be a good target price in my opinion.
3711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Avoid Casinos With Max Bet Rules on: April 16, 2017, 07:05:59 AM
having bonus and a max bet rule doesn't mean automatically the site is bad and should be avoided. the bonus is a way of advertising and all these restrictive rules such as max bet and many more are there to prevent abuse of the bonuses. you can't just make a deposit, get the bonus and then withdraw! there needs to be a mechanism to prevent a big amount of money exiting the site just like that.

but the problem is that this "mechanism" is always in favor of the house and it is strictly designed which is why players are never going to get that amount out.
some casinos being scam and using this promotion tactic to scam people is another story though.
3712  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: F2Pool starts signaling SegWit? on: April 15, 2017, 08:44:29 AM
Here's what he said:

Quote
As 56% from the poll in favor of segwit & agreed UASF is bad. We'll respect ur opinion and implement segwit on both BTC & LTC soon. Thanks.

So it seems like he had some kind of poll and decided to signal for segwit... for now at least.
do we know where this POLL is, who voted on it, and how many voted on it?
there is a screenshot in his tweets but it is in Chinese, so I guess it was inside vote or something. maybe those who connect to the pool of them voted?

BTW I made a summary of all the tweets here (it seems like he mostly has mood swings then blames translation): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1871075.0

then DDosed a week later whe he doesnt vote.
seems its outsiders that are F-ing with him. not the other way round
seems people are getting desperate

so if I start a DDoS attack on him today, will he start voting for my proposal called Bitcoin Pursuer or in short BP?
3713  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin market maker on: April 15, 2017, 08:37:38 AM
Everybody is talking about them. Everybody is waitimg for them. But nobody knows them.

Who are they? Would be interested in any kind of information.

most of the time people use the word "market maker" to create an imaginary entity for themselves to justify the unexpected incidents with price. (at least that is my opinion).

for most altcoins the market maker is simply the creator (developers) of that altcoin. because most of these altcoins we see on coinmarketcap from first altcoin to the last have some kind of premine, ICO , etc to make the owner as a whale without any trying. (like the big ETH ICO and Dash premine or Ripple for that matter).

also in smaller altcoins you can become the market maker if you know how the market works and have enough money and influence to have some effect on it.
for example a couple of days ago, during the litecoin pump, a simple Signaling of SegWit by F2Pool could cause price rise and another simple tweet of him caused a drop and the third tweet picked the price up.

So Bitsler often select new MOD and each MOD come with their own set of rules and they are the most annoying dweeps in Bitsler. (ok at least not all of them). New MOD appointed JAMES, omg -  I think the title went to his head and all he does is reprimand people in the chat left right and center, don't do this, don]t do that - don't say thank you after you get rains and don't congratulate people after they receive rains. What absolute nonsense is that. He makes the chat room so miserable and we use to have so much fun before MOD like JAMES came along. I seriously think that befor the Admin just appoint MOD they triple screen them and people like James should stay at home please cause clearly he lacks MOD skills. I am so done with Bitsler after being on this site for almost a year and use to enjoy it. But MOD JAMES makes it the worst site to be on. I never had any issues ever with any of the other MOD or ADMIN - but then James came along and its miserable.... Bye Bitsler it was fun while it lasted - now not a fun site anymore. Will invest my money on other sites

James became a mod just after bitsler applied new rules to minimize spams in english chat room especially when the rains are around. So, it's his job to make people aware about such new rules and he did it nicely.

I'm not trying to support his opinion, but I think it is OK if players/chatters just want to say thanks and congrats to others. Saying thanks to rains is like an appreciation for the rains who have selected him to be one of lucky chatters who get the rains. Rules is indeed needed, but too strict rules will make chatters feel unconfortable. As long as they dont spam the chat then it should be OK.

I agree, I like bitsler but I find the chat, specially the rules of it a bit weird. that is why I keep it closed most of the time anyways.

for example there is a period (I can't really remember why, maybe some kind of picking a winner or something, my memory is hazy) which you shouldn't post anything in the chat or you will be banned. I, not knowingly posted a hello or something and got banned Wink
as I said it is weird, nothing bad though, it was something like a 10 minute ban or something. but it was weird to just be unaware of anything, post something in chat and get banned (seemingly for no reason).
3715  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / [F2Pool and SegWit] What do we think of the "Wang" on: April 15, 2017, 08:05:18 AM
So here is the summary, or story of the Wang if you want to call it that!
(I'll try to make this as accurate as possible by checking dates but I may have missed some stuff).

Litecoin price starts going up (30 March) then after the initial pump and when it slows down F2Pool (one of the biggest mining pools on both bitcoin and litecoin) starts signaling SegWit.
Wang Chun tweets are all positive for SegWit.

Syscoin SegWit activation was a big success:
https://twitter.com/f2pool_wangchun/status/848640437019488256

litecoin pump reaches its max limit (5 Apr)

Wang starts tweeting about changing his mind and SegWit being a bad idea.

Concern about Litecoin core code becoming different from bitcoin:
https://twitter.com/f2pool_wangchun/status/850059564250578944

Trolling about stopping signaling of SegWit at 74.9%
https://twitter.com/f2pool_wangchun/status/850070006830292992

"F2Pool: "I’ve to reconsider segwit on LTC. It makes copy code from BTC harder if LTC to activate it but BTC does else. No good news to LTC’s devel."

I was never against SegWit on Litecoin (12 Apr)

litecoin price goes up the same day 28%

now the same story on bitcoin

SegWit is a disaster on bitcoin! (12 Apr)
https://twitter.com/f2pool_wangchun/status/852389706956365824

DDoS attack and then saying we are signaling SegWit because of it! (13 Apr)

3716  Economy / Gambling / Re: ADMIRALSPOT.COM | DEPOSIT 0.5 BTC PLAY WITH 1 BTC on: April 15, 2017, 07:35:41 AM
thanks for your answers. but i would like to ask about the limit. i mean the max. since it gives you a welcome bonus which is 100% right? im just thinking what if someone will cheat or somehing. like what if i will deposit 0.5 so i will get 100% bonus. so  will have 1 btc? am i correct? correct me if im wrong.

thanks.
I don't get your point. The bonus says if you can have 1btc if you deposit 0.5 i think no one can cheat that terms and may i ask what cheat you are talking?

there are cheaters everywhere! and it would be surprising to many to find out the real stats on this! if a person openly does something in order to gain  for his own personal benefit and disregards the basic outline of the rules and or regulations of the event!
cheating is attempted in almost every way possible , but for the most part; control mechanisms have been put in place to guard against most of the possible cheaters! often times these mechanisms are also referred to as security issues. and on a gambling site like this one "security is not taken lightly! so i am positive that if there is any attempt in so called Cheating... it is measured and garnished prior to it becoming an inevitable issue for the site owners and the other patrons.

Your answer is so long but does not really answer the main question from kobe24. The question is simple "what kind of cheating that can be done with the deposit bonus?" But you talk about cheating in general.
I also curious what is meemiinii talking about, as it will be so stupid for anyone who try to cheat on deposit bonus which has so huge wagering requirement. Unless someone is able to break the wagering system without risking anything.

lol, don't even bother with this user, every single comment of his in this topic (an possibly all over the forum) has been "off-topic" and irrelevant.

and to answer your question, there are always ways of cheating the deposit bonus, of course sites take preventing measures that may or may not prevent many of the following.
for example, you can deposit, take the bonus and withdraw (the reason for existence of minimum amount wagered).
you can deposit, make some bets (the minimum amount) withdraw the amount, then abandon the account and create another account, rinse and repeat (again the reason for existence of minimum amount wagered).

and that is two off the top of my mind without making my comment into a "how to scam 101" answer Wink

This has the hallmarks of Jihan Wu written all over it.
you have little to no understanding of how bitcoin works and for the past month you have been constantly spamming useless topics and comments all over the forum about bitcoin
no matter what people are talking about, you just connect it to your chain of FUD trying so hard to create panic.
anyways thanks for making me laugh out loud, and also thanks for spreading the FUD for the past month about split so I can buy cheap coins.

The map, showing all the flags, i wonder if they already have the tracking in place to identify where bitcoin transaction is made?
I am not sure what exactly you have in mind and want to imply here, but there is no easy or even possible way of knowing the origin of transactions.
theoretically you need to be connected to literary all the nodes to know which one broadcasted the transaction for the first time and that is not possible.
3718  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC doing good after this big dump on: April 14, 2017, 07:40:10 AM
I would call that little dip the correction.  It was small but quite a sharp drop after it clearly went too high.
as far as I know a correction shouldn't be sharp. it is usually a slower drop. the sharp dips usually show some kind of manipulation and followed by panic sell. mostly starting with the expectation of a drop (in this case the SegWit drama by F2Pool) and then weak hands jump.

Yeah this gambling is not mpst popular, but i'm one of his player now and its nice to play no need to deposit you can just earn free bitcoin here just a couply of minutes ago i win 0.0035 just for free and my other friends won an 0.02BTC just a minutes. So why not you try and play for free its just easy you just need to grab , slap , and grabbit hole... There's an video instruction im here site go and watch it

Exactly right, There's a video in the site for further instructions and its quiet easy to play. I also won a little but it doesn't matter as long as I've enjoyed. Just go to the site register, try it, and find it how.

how exactly you three (2 comments with first one's friend) got free  bitcoin to play with?
OP is giving away 1 free amount to only 1 player and it was already claimed by the first newbie rank account after the post!

I could not register on the site to be able to check what the site says! also the https seems to be broken!
You will see it in here site go and register to play, you just need to grab and hold it until 10seconds, you can also use first grabbit hole to decrease it in 3seconds and click many slap to absorb all that want tp grab or get your posistions. Its just so easy to play try and watch the video
yeah but for some reason I keep getting "ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT" in chrome and I have trouble loading the site. and yesterday when I tried the site for the first time, I had the same trouble but the hard part was registering which I filled the boxes but clicking the register button didn't do anything.
and since I have no trouble accessing other sites I said it might be some problem with this site, probably their DNS!

also their https is also broken.

first question you need to ask yourself is why do you want to create a new altcoin.

depending on your answer to this question there are numerous different routs that can be taken in order to make a new cryptocurrency.

also how much knowledge do you have in programming, in cryptography and in general about what cryptocurrencies are supposed to be and do.
