3701  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The implications of cryptocurrency on the global economy on: August 16, 2022, 04:35:28 PM
It will depend on how the regulations are going to be made by authorities. The impact can be a more decentralized global economy, in case governments respect the individuals, or the impact can be a more centralized global economy similar to the currently one, if regulators decide to go through the bureaucratic and oppressive route.
The implications will continue being a mistery for us until they happen for real. All we can do is to speculate and to hope the best is going to be done from the average adopter or citizen's point of view.
3702  Economy / Gambling / Re: Freebitco.in - FUN Token Investment Experiment on: August 16, 2022, 01:24:42 AM
CURRENTLY BENEFITS

FIRST STEPS TOWARDS SUCCESS (12/07/2022 - 10/08/2022) ROI - 2,6830%

Second month started very well with profit being made from every bonus features' categories. Interest made from FUN funds locked for 30 days were instantly converted to BTC and were pretty satisfactory. Everything was fine until I had a major loss from gambling, which forced me to stop wagering since I hit what I considered my 'stop loss'. I can't deny it was really uncomfortable and bitter to face this situation, but all I could have done was to stop playing on multiplier, completely ignoring the cashback feature (at least for now), and adopting a more energic plan to take advantage of extra bitcoin interest income, so I can recover my loss and build the way till ROI faster... Since I wasn't at home I didn't log in to use my WOF's spins. They were all accumulated and results will appear on the spreadsheet of the next month.

Cashback results calculated by me in real time after every bet didn't exactly match the results presented by Freebitco.in, so at the end of the spreadsheet I subtracted the difference, considering the official Freebitco.in's results as the correct one.

3703  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Macau's Casino Operation Continues Despite The Latest Outbreak on: August 15, 2022, 10:07:14 PM
Desperate but they don't have much choice but to close everything in their country to reduce and minimize the spread of Covid-19 even if that means that their economy and people living within doesn't have a job nor business to keep up with their needs because Macau is really dependent to their hotels and casinos as their country is really small compared to Hong Kong or Singapore.
Well, I think they have choices. To close the industry and forbid it from operating can't be the only alternative. Regulators can ask people to keep distance from each other, to avoid crowds and limit the number of people per building/room, fever tests can be done on the entrance of every commercial buildings, covid tests can be provided in abundance. Anyway, covid pandemic isn't the same anymore. I'm not a specialist, but for some reason that may vary from natural ones to vaccination process, people developed their immunological systems against the virus that has lost its potency considerably. Therefore I see no reason to impose another severe lockdown on citizens.
3704  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I not lose money in trading cryptocurrency? on: August 15, 2022, 09:55:43 PM
You just have to understand the market, you need to be able to study and know when it’s a right time for you to invest and withdraw your crypto currency. And also remember only invest money you know you can make back even if you lose the money.
_snip_
Basically people know investments where people want to buy and sell, as far as I know the crypto market is always viral when these two factors occur and the short and long term methods people also know about it, consider the type of digital currency the main thing.
Of course, Bitcoin is the main digital currency that must be chosen as the first investment. and for other investments ETH is recommended or some of the altcoins that are at the top of the list. The long-term method may be more helpful for those who don't want to look at the chart every day, but make sure it comes in at the right price. But for those who want to get quick profits short-term methods can be done, but the risk of loss will be higher due to faster fluctuations.

The last thing is, do research on every investment that will be made, without doing research you will not know what you are buying so you can make good management and strategies that will support the investment.
It's impossible to assure someone he isn't going to lose money in crypto trading, but it's indeed with bitcoin and ethereum that you can minimize the failure chances. A long term trader have very few chances of losing money when investing on those two cryptocurrencies, as history show us. One important argument to take notice that explains this point of view are the bitcoin halvings which have always been very positive not only for bitcoin, but for the crypto market as a whole. However, it doesn't happen overnight and someone willing to invest in crypto must be prepared to hold for long periods of time, if necessary.
3705  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pay Utility Bills With Bitcoin In Nigeria on: August 15, 2022, 09:49:34 PM
In Nigeria to adopt bitcoin was a matter of survival for average citizens, doesn't matter what the government thinks about it. No one can have a peaceful and confortable life dealing with a devalued fiat currency which is constantly getting worse each new day much faster than in another countries. Thankfully bitcoin has become the perfect solution for this issue and side by side with the cryptocurrency, services to allow people paying their bills are also very welcome and necessary. I don't know if nigerians have crypto debit cards already disponible for them as well. If so, go for it as well. It's going to be a life changing for your finances!
3706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum will get more demand on: August 15, 2022, 09:01:41 PM
The latest rumour going around about the Ethereum merge is a dump after, you are wrong if you are one of them, Ethereum going proof of stake and fixing the high gas fee have automatically turn this project into a GOLD, every whales will want to stake and enjoy the rewards, even if a dump happens after the so called fork it won't last.
Bitcoin is gold, ethereum is silver and it will remain like this. News saying gas fees are going to decrease strengthen ethereum on its position against another altcoins like binance coin, but not at a point of turning it into a menace to bitcoin, which is untouchable. Ethereum has a lot of potential once it becomes cheap and affordable to deal with in a daily basis and many projects will be still developed on its chain, so I guess investors thinking about holding ethereum for the future are doing a smart choice and won't regret later. Even during the hardest times ethereum has proved to be a good choice, now imagine how interesting it can become after the updates.
3707  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rise of Streamers in Online Gambling on: August 15, 2022, 08:52:42 PM
I will add one more question that is he do these bet on only one sites ? If that's the case then I think it's really disrespectful to the viewers. And it is true that this is nothing new now that many YouTubers many gambling review sites are doing fake promotion in exchange of money. And I think something like that happened here .Because it is truly incredible that this amount has been gambled away

Can you explain more how it becomes disrespectful?

What's wrong with that streamer if he bet only on a single site?

It might be that:

- the streamer is affiliated with the site
- the streamer is a big fan on that site
- the streamer wants to target being affiliated with the site

Nothing technical there.
The problem is not technical but primarily moral. And here I mean the streamers who promote sites that they are not sure of their credibility and have not tried them enough, or at least check the available reviews about them.
Lately I have been following the case of Bitlucy, a scammer casino that mainly relied for its propaganda on these streamers who only care about who pays them the most. One of them was said that he had won thousands of dollars and was able to withdraw them to his wallet, while the platform at the time did not have a payment system working at all. This led to great losses for users, especially since the promotion was for the bonuses that the user would get for the first deposit.
I personally do not trust them and do not advise the rest to follow their advice even if they know them personally.
You mentioned a case in particular of a streamer promoting a scam casino. It's indeed a moral issue, but not every streamers who decide to promote a single platform exclusively should be labeled like this, since they promote legit casinos and don't deceive the audience by having advantages not disponible for common players.

I usually follow videos and series from small gamblers, because these are the most realistic and honest ones. When they cast a series (bankroll management/growment), every videos are done in one site exclusively and it is actually good to see their progression inside the platform. However, I must highlight I only watch these videos for entertainment purposes, as we shouldn't follow streamers' steps for real. People sometimes misunderstand this fact and think they will reproduce the same results when exactly repeating what streamers do.
3708  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Gambling companies can get more users to deposit. on: August 15, 2022, 08:04:41 PM
Well gamblers love promotions that's the first thing and and also the features that at the same time they can enjoy it while gambling where in no hassle. And if they want to get more attention then they should have all the things that what gamblers looking for, not just one time but very often so that they can gained trust in the long run. They need to be honest and very promising to get attention from gamblers..

Promotions are one of the simplest ways to attract new players, but they are frequently abused by some players, with some going so far as to open multiple accounts in order to have multiple ways to cash out from the casino, these are the reasons why casinos become strict when users earn from the bonuses they offer their players.
Most importantly, they should allow players to withdraw without causing any uproar with any genuine player. Support is a key thing that some casinos lack, they are the basic thing that some casinos lack, without them, players will be discouraged to play because they won't know who to complain to when a problem arises.
Unfortunatelly promotions have become less generous and not free for all anymore because of those abuses. Now most promotions are attached to requirements that end not giving any advantage to gamblers at all, since gamblers are forced to play with large sums of money in order to claim some bucks after all. The risk simply doesn't worth the reward.
I remember there were days when gamblers could claim giveaways for free and unlimited faucets satoshis rewards to their respective casinos' balances. It was a great gift for players which sadly had to be removed due to abusers. At same time it's a good feature to boost the house's traffic, it's also a feature to create a lot of issues with multi accounts, hackers and cheaters, so casinos are being careful on this matter.
3709  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which one do you think its more healthy for a project on: August 15, 2022, 07:55:09 PM
Most especially new projects do you think its healthy to rush things up or take a lot of time and gradually release updates and follow roadmaps slowly? There are some complains that most projects aren't following the exact timing on their roadmap and some even takes this is Red Flag.
There isn't such thing as following roadmap slowly. Or you follow it and respect the promised timing or you don't. There isn't middle term. If the project doesn't respect its own roadmap timing you can expect there is something really wrong going behind the curtains, so be careful when investing. In this case red flags are welcome, so naive investors will be alerted to be careful regards the project.

On the other hand, I wouldn't bother giving a second chance to the project if developers apologize with investors and present consistent arguments to justify the reasons behind the delays.
3710  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Describe what Bitcoin has done for you on: August 15, 2022, 07:35:21 PM
Bitcoin has introduced me to an entire new world and I'm thankful for bitcoin and bitcointalk forum because they helped me at the beginning of my financial life, not only allowing me to earn money, but also raising my confidence in myself and giving me an opportunity to manage my funds from zero. It has been a learnship since I was firstly guided into bitcoin. When you adopt bitcoin you feel closer to technology, what means you are closer to the future and one step ahead of most people around you. It's like you are having access to a technology that doesn't exist for other people, besides a very small group of enthusiasts splitted in the entire world.

Basically I think I could say bitcoin has made me confident and proud, without the need of being recognized by the local society which only cares about status and appearance. It's like a secret badget only you know how important and substantial it is.
3711  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: August 15, 2022, 07:14:50 PM
All the discussion above is based on one major fact and that’s FUN getting valued 10-20x and I completely support the fact that it can easily go to that level. We are already in the bottom prices whether it’s bitcoin or whether it’s FUN itself.

So accumulating FUN is best way to increase “chances” of getting higher returns. On a long journey we always gonna loose the small chunks of satoshi now and then. It’s better to buy FUN with it and keep them locked and also have premium features for locked period.
I do believe that there is a good chance that it could go up 10x or even 20x not because it's just a good coin and that's what it can do but we are also just getting out of bear market. I mean if it was at ATH prices, I wouldn't just say "oh we may have broke the ATH and peaked, but we will do 10x more on top of this!" because that would be silly, it's hard to do that.

But considering how hard Fun token dropped, well how hard the whole crypto (and all other) markets dropped, I can say that thanks to this drop, the difference between now and peak is high, and then you add some more on top of it and you get yourself a good 10x or even 20x increase in the future. But you gotta buy and hold until then, it won't be easy for some.
It's nice to imagine FUN can still hit x10 or x20 of its currently value, although I don't know how realistic this possibility is, though, because staking offers are really generous for FUN holders reaching up to 25% APY. When you have such a huge interest being paid over your investments, you can expect there is going to be a large supply in the market futurely, what can considerably overcome demand, pushing prices down or keeping it stagnant. My hope is that FUN's features become more popular among crypto enthusiasts on the next bull season, so demand is going to outstand any challenges and setbacks imposed by the market's adversities.
3712  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your General Feeling After Playing In Casino In the last 10 session on: August 15, 2022, 04:14:31 PM
Losing for a 10 consecutive times can lead to a depression and I remember myself on this scenario right before the pandemic hits, I'm playing in a casino to relieve some stress but it turns out that gambling can't help me with this and the result is more worst. We are just human and that emotion is pretty normal especially if you lose money without even a chance to fight for it, well this is gambling and we should accept that fact and move forward, better to take this as a lesson and don't gamble with too much expectation.
That is painful and makes the gambler feels the unluckiest person alive. Even though we accept a loss scenario, it's not easy to accept the fact of losing 10 consecutive gambling sessions in a roll. Personally for me it's disturbing and discouraging to think something like that could happen to me. On that situation I would give a long break from gambling until all those negative sensations settle down inside myself.
3713  Economy / Gambling / Re: I Have a Question ~ Are 1xbit Campaigners Playing on 1xbit? on: August 14, 2022, 04:34:11 PM
Interesting that after 4 pages of thread nobody from the 1xbit signature campaign itself has come here to present their point of view. Probably it's because when there is nothing to say, it's better to say nothing.

Anyway, I don't think it's a good marketing for 1xbit, because once someone creates a thread asking if promoters play at the casino they promote and none of them replies, it lights a red alert for potential gamblers, besides the fact everyone connected to the company is negatively rated.
3714  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Real most rewarding Crypto Casino? on: August 13, 2022, 07:58:11 PM
Fixed rewards offered by casinos are really balanced and won't matter too much for the gambler on long run, from the profitability point of view. I believe the key is to look for temporary promotions and rewards given for limited time, like a special match featured by the casino with guaranteed bets by the house for gamblers who pick the side endorsed by the platform.

Another alternative is to look for giveaways which don't ask for bets in counterpart, although they are scarce nowadays.

The important is to follow different platforms and what they are offering in real time.
3715  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Myths that we often hear on: August 13, 2022, 07:19:38 PM
By the way, it seems to me that modern children are less prone to gambling because they encounter it early (in different games where loot boxing mechanics and other "random" events are implemented to extract money from the player) and having a negative experience bypass it or are indifferent to it.

Teens are more susceptible to gambling now more than ever. They have easier access to gambling platforms and usually have the money to do so. Also, with gambling streamers becoming more and more popular, teens are getting the wrong idea about gambling which they think as a way to get quick and easy money. Loot boxes and similar things embedded in online games that they play are a start, and eventually they'll move on to bigger things like actual sports betting and the rest is history.

I don’t see the logic in this - yes, children have easier access to gambling and see their wider advertising, but after trying it in practice, they quickly realize that this is at least “an advertisement that does not correspond to reality” or it’s just a scam. I judge by my daughter and her girlfriends. Many of them immediately call loot boxes and even all the mechanics in games where you have to “win” something from many attempts a scam. Even if we are talking about free in-game currency or raiding dungeons with a non-guaranteed prize.
Besides teens, it happens to every other age's groups. Most people will try gambling if persuaded by advertisements or friends' encouragement, but only very few of them will remain active on this activity, while the majority is going to lose interest due to negative experience (loss). Also, few people will present addictive behavior.

Gambling isn't for everyone and it isn't for most people because they aren't looking for entertainment exactly, rather they seek for extra income or financial independence that definitely isn't achieved through gambling as a general rule.
3716  Economy / Gambling / Re: Freebitco.in - FUN Token Investment Experiment on: August 12, 2022, 11:10:13 PM
I haven't updated the spreadsheet for the next month yet because I'm currently travelling these days, so I'm without access to my control panel at my operations' base (desktop device).

As soon as I get back home I'm going to post updated results for the second investment's month.
3717  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin so volatile?  on: August 12, 2022, 10:58:27 PM
Bitcoin is highly volatile basically because there are too many coins in very few hands. It allows market manipulation by whales in high intensity.

If those whales didn't have so many coins and those coins were splitted among more hands (more investors), bitcoin's volatility would decrease considerably.

On the practice, it means few individuals could sell their chuncks of bitcoin, but it wouldn't have a big price impact at first point, moreover it wouldn't lead to panic or mass selling by other investors like we still see nowadays.
3718  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Buying goods or services using crypto on: August 12, 2022, 10:43:33 PM
3 years have already passed since this thread started and no bitcoin services and products platforms for merchants were consolidated yet in a regional or global level.

I think it's already time for a worldwide company with the range and status of Amazon or AliExpress to become competitive, while accepting bitcoin as payment, and why not as main payment method, fully focused in crypto, also when offering promotions and benefits to users.

I ask myself how long it is still going to take until happening for real... It would be awesome to have access to a wide variety of goods with bitcoin in a huge platform supplying the whole world, paying affordable prices for products, delivery fees and taking advantage of special crypto promotions, plus earnings opportunities through staking the native token of the platform.
3719  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest missed opportunity in crypto on: August 12, 2022, 07:16:38 PM
Every disponible opportunities not taken were missed. From bitcoin to shitcoins, I think I can include all of them, since there was a considerable fluctuation in price related to the cryptocurrency in question.

In every bullish markets most of us have missed hundreds of opportunities in crypto. Partially because we aren't omnipotent and omnipresent, so we can't afford the whole market, investing in every cryptocurrencies at same time, but in fact we miss opportunities mainly because of fear and aversion to risk. We don't want to sacrifice our confort zone to make investments we aren't sure how long they will take until returning profit to us.

And only after all, when the fluctuations have already happened we are taken by a regret feeling which makes us go back in time to change our decisions.

If I could, I would simply purchase most bitcoins as possible for $400 each 7 years ago. 17,000% profit by 2021...
3720  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best time to play Slot on: August 12, 2022, 06:57:51 PM
Unfortunately, time doesn't really matter when it comes to gambling. If you think that you are winning on a certain time slot then that is just a coincidence it's a pseudo thing that the gambler believe in.

Just as you've mentioned, the time slot that you usually play or gamble is when no-one is around. Which means, it doesn't really depends on the time but rather your mental state and your concentration due to being alone and not be disturbed. Being able to focus and strategize your play determine your outcome and not time.
Usually gamblers think this way when playing at physical slot machines. I've read stories of gamblers who claimed to have found a pattern on slots of a determined casino.

They say each machine rewards players during different time intervals and never at same time. So their challenge was to identify the machines' routine in order to play at the right ones on the right time.

If that worked, it would be much better than simply persuing the jackpot. However, I'm not sure how accurate these stories are.
I doubt that these "patterns" they've found are tied to time. Probably the pattern tends to be tied on the number of bets made on the slots which is why these gamblers believe it's has a connection to time as the number of bets made are already reached on certain time they've check.

However, I still doubt that this still works as newer slot machine often to have much more complicated algorithm which changes whenever someone won.
That is correct. Now you mentioned this I remember it was also said the machine had to reach a defined profit value until it started sharing part of this money with the lucky player who was wagering on it at the right moment.

Since it's not possible to check bets' legitimacy, I don't doubt that could be really happening in some land based casinos' slot machines.

If so, good for those who discovered the pattern and developed the method to profit on long run. Anyway, I doubt it has lasted too long, because as soon as the casino spots someone winning like crazy (especially at slots), the staff takes action against the gamblers involved or upgrade the algorithms, at least.
