3701  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First nuclear fusion ignition achieved electricity price will plummet on: December 16, 2022, 03:16:56 PM
This is definitely going to impact Bitcoin mining.

Will this option be available in the next 5 or maybe 10 years? I haven't researched, but I think I read somewhere that we are decades away from widespread use of this technology. In the context of Bitcoin mining, 99% will be mined in about ten years - so I wonder what this technology has to do with Bitcoin mining in the future?

In total consumption and impact on the environment, Bitcoin mining is at the very bottom of every scale and only complete fools make some kind of affair out of it because someone pays them or they are very limited by their brains.
3702  Other / Meta / Re: First forum's post 13 years ago by Satoshi introducing Bitcoin on: December 16, 2022, 11:53:06 AM
You f*ucked all Bitcoin Talk members and Satoshi Nakamoto by sharing the article from Bitcoin [dot ] com.

I also warn members that this website is not something to pay attention to, let alone advertise it on this forum or anywhere else. However, for the majority of people on this forum, this is a rather irrelevant matter, because they have long since forgotten the role that website and its owner played in perhaps the biggest attack on Bitcoin.
3703  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 99% of People Will Lose Crypto in Self Custody on: December 16, 2022, 11:40:17 AM
For all those who still think that CZ is a positive person and that their funds are safe in his company, think twice after this statement. Reading between the lines, he called 99% of his users incompetent fools, and he also supports the idea of some kind of crypto bank, which when it comes to Bitcoin is beyond all reason.

If you still haven't changed your habits, maybe today is the day to show that little communist bastard that he's wrong - withdraw all your funds to non-custodial wallets.
3704  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2022-12-16] Germany calls for global regulation of the cryptospace on: December 16, 2022, 11:29:03 AM
I think that without strict regulation, we cannot expect that anything will change in the sense that no new Bankman or Kwon will appear. At the same time, I think that strict regulation should go in the direction of much more difficult opening of centralized CEX and strict supervision of their operations. Some may consider it a threat to Bitcoin, but I don't think that would be the case, because Bitcoin is just a collateral victim in all of this.

A money factory that has its base in thousands of cryptocurrencies is nothing but one big fraud, no matter what name it hid behind - ICO, IOU, DeFi, stablecoins, or NTF. We can lie as much as we want, but the amount of money that disappeared through everything I mentioned is measured in hundreds of billions of $, and all because current laws allow it.

I am therefore in favor of draining that swamp, no matter how much some are against it. Of course, the price has to be paid, and it certainly won't be small - the average person still believes that Bitcoin should be blamed for everything, no matter how pointless it is.
3705  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to buy a hardware wallet anonymously on: December 16, 2022, 11:12:52 AM
Its easy bro , just rent an airbnb or any holiday property and give the adress to the ledger company , stay for few weeks and wait for your package . It will be a temporary adress to receive your ledger and not linked to your real adress .

I think that's a bit excessive, so a person won't go on holiday just to buy HW - and people usually stay on holiday for 1 or 2 weeks, and with all that you have to take into account the laws of the country you're staying in, customs and the time it takes to deliver the package to the desired address. In addition, if we are already traveling somewhere, why not check if there is an official seller there who has physical stores where HW can be bought for cash.

I live in a tourist-oriented country, and HW can be bought in well-known IT equipment stores, as well as in several physical crypto exchanges - it can't be simpler than that.
3706  Economy / Economics / Re: Vegetable Prices Soar 40% as Crops Fail Under Extreme Weather on: December 15, 2022, 04:08:40 PM
What options do those with less disposable income have? A pack of seeds can cost as low as $5 which could conceivably allow for percentage interest on gains within an entry level setting. If it is possible to grow $50 of food from a $5 pack of seeds, then in theory 10x return on investment becomes possible.

How about you go back to one of your countless threads in which you ask yourself this identical question - or show us with your own example how this whole operation, which we can call "from seed to product" works in practice? In the whole thing, you forget how much time, effort and knowledge you need to invest in producing $50 worth of food from $5 seeds - not to mention the costs of fertilizers, crop protection from diseases, water and protection from the sun, hail and wind.

Another approach could be for stablecoins pegged to the value of agriculture commodities. For example, if there was a theoretical crypto token called potato coin, which guaranteed it could be exchanged for 5 potatos. Said crypto token could be pegged to the value of potato commodities. This could be useful in various circumstances. Can anyone guess how?

Again, I ask you to show with a concrete example the famous tokenization of everything in the world, including tomatoes? These are crazy ideas that lead to nothing but the downfall of anyone who would try something like that - haven't we established that countless times already, should I post links to all the threads in which you present such ideas?
3707  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Soyapango is proving that Bitcoin adoption alone is not enough on: December 15, 2022, 03:38:21 PM
Do we need another thread about El Salvador and Bitcoin? Even less do we need those who do not want or cannot understand that the fact that Bitcoin is legal tender in a country does not mean that everyone wants to use it, especially if we consider that they have an alternative in the form of US dollars that they have been using for more than 20 years.

I don't know what the OP and others like him think, maybe Bukele should find some way of coercion to "convince" people to use Bitcoin, maybe hire gangs to carry out that mission?

In any case, the gift you gave yourself, even if it is not something tangible, can prove to be a valuable investment for the future. What may not be completely logical is that you already have a date by which you plan to hold, and you cannot know what will happen in 1 year - the price may be similar to today, lower or only slightly higher. A much better option if you don't need that money is to extend that period to at least 2 years.

For the sake of privacy, you may have hidden your face, but you have revealed your location and exact date of birth, which is not very smart considering that you are investing in Bitcoin.
3709  Other / Meta / Re: Ignored user's post on QUOTE is visible on: December 15, 2022, 02:38:32 PM
Pyramid qoute, is that what you mean?

It's especially irritating and it's sad to see that some older members haven't learned even some elementary things like editing the content they quote. However, I was thinking of something else here, and that is completely unnecessary quoting OP - for example, look at this thread from the post you see to the end of the thread (so far) as many as 5 members are quoting the OP, and to make matters worse, the OP is just shilling his web link, and they are helping him.

~snip~

Some people may have been surprised by all that he is currently doing with Twitter, but he is just showing his true nature and with that, without any doubt, he has angered and disappointed many people around the world. He still thinks he is doing something good, and at the same time the list of famous and influential people who leave that social network is getting bigger and bigger.

I think that part of his business has an impact on all other companies, especially the part that relies on car sales. If someone does not agree with his actions regarding Twitter, then maybe they will sell the shares of his company or decide that they no longer want to drive or buy vehicles manufactured by his company. However, I don't worry about people like him, with all the wealth he has and billions of dollars in incentives from the government, he can continue his game.
3711  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How does Bitcoin Under Bep-20 works ? on: December 15, 2022, 11:33:46 AM
Yes I have learned a lot from this thread, I was confused earlier but now am enlightened and I now know the difference right now.

It's nice that you give feedback, that's something I rarely see from new forum members. Now that the matter is clarified, it would be good to lock this topic, just look for that option (bottom left -> lock topic).
3712  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to buy a hardware wallet anonymously on: December 15, 2022, 11:23:03 AM
@adaseb, do you have someone who has his own shop or company? Then you could simply pay with Bitcoin and order directly from Ledger to an address that would have nothing to do with you - although you would have to trust the person who would provide you with such a service.

Another option that comes to mind is for someone else to order it for you and then send it to you, first of all I mean someone you trust on the forum, if such a person exists.
3713  Economy / Exchanges / Re: STOP THE EXCHANGE FUD; Everyone will suffer the effect. on: December 15, 2022, 11:04:02 AM
Binance is without a doubt the largest crypto exchange and must be protected at all costs, while FTX investors and influencers are playing a dangerous game right now, attempting to take everyone down with them following the FTX disasters.

I think that's complete nonsense to anyone who has any understanding of what Bitcoin is, and how negative CEX is in that whole context. What you think should be protected at all costs is actually something that represents a much greater danger in the state in which it currently exists. The FTX collapse just opened a pandora's box and some things will have to be cleared up whether someone likes it or not, and if that means that Binance will suffer in the process, I honestly don't care because it is a company that works in the gray zone all the time, uses everything possible loopholes in the law, avoids paying taxes and contributes the most to promoting scam coins/tokens.

True, if Binance fails, thousands of coins will fail as well, and the price of bitcoin would suffer in the long term.

Let them fail, they serve no purpose anyway except for a small number of people to get rich on them, and for others to live in the illusion that one day they will become rich. Bitcoin will eventually rise to the surface again, regardless of the price that will have to be paid.
3714  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bear market - previous experience / advice? on: December 15, 2022, 10:47:50 AM
@JamesDaniel90, why do you repeat the same questions and open new threads, do you think that makes any sense? This kind of behavior will not bring you anything good, think before you repeat this kind of stupidity.

I have been in crypto almost 1 year now and has been an interesting year to say the least. When I bought my first crypto in January I didn’t know anything about cycles and just started investing after a friend had been telling me for months to do so.

Some people are bothered by rather unimportant things, and I think this is one of them. There are forum members who have hundreds or even thousands of members on ignore, and my advice to the OP is to add to ignore those members who quote members who are already on his ignore list Roll Eyes

What is certain is the fact that many abuse the quote option, and it would really be good if there were some rule about it.
3716  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Premium BTC email domain For Elite BTC fans, & help FTX user ! on: December 14, 2022, 02:31:11 PM
Damn 10 BTC for that email address? I don't think it's worth much to be honest, and don't ask me about how much it's worth because I'm not an expert.

It's worth nothing to me, because it has no connection to the real Satoshi, anyone from his team, or any part of Bitcoin history. The only value this email address has is some kind of sentimental value to the OP, and it's really weird that he's asking for even 10 BTC for that.

I have a much more attractive e-mail address on that service, but it would never occur to me to sell it, let alone ask $180 000 for it Roll Eyes
3717  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could this be the bottom of Bitcoin? on: December 14, 2022, 02:16:30 PM
~snip~

Somehow, it doesn't seem to me that the OP is asking that question because he wants some kind of meaningful answer, because in the end, who can know where the bottom is? I would not be surprised if by the end of the year the price is even $20k, but also if after that a new crash of 20% happens again.

Everyone has the right to wait for the price they think will happen, even if it's $10k or some other low number. However, considering that the last ATH was around $70k, anyone who says that it is too expensive to invest in Bitcoin today has problems with elementary mathematics or some more serious problems. I think that all of them always have some kind of regret in their subconscious that they are not some kind of early adopters, but what is the use of that?
3718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 14, 2022, 01:44:17 PM
It is no secret that FIFA is corrupt from top to bottom, but the fact that VAR is not used in this situation speaks volumes for the fact that Croatia had no chance in that match. According to all valid rules that apply in football, there is no question of a penalty kick but a foul on the goalkeeper - although most of you shit spammers have no idea what that means.

Quote
"An important detail for which a penalty kick should not have been awarded: The goalkeeper's right foot is on the ground, and the contact is inevitable due to inertia. There is no foul, the contact was inevitable" - wrote on Twitter the Mexican with refereeing experience at the 2002 World Cup in South Korea and Japan, who currently works as a referee analyst for ESPN Deportes and ESPN Mexico.

3719  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 14, 2022, 11:42:59 AM
Saying the WC is rigged and that Argentina bribed Fifa is funny... We are a poor country that cant pay our national debt, less would we pay for this even if it was possible.

It's not strange if we take into account that the penalty kick was not checked with VAR, and neither was the one I think was in the match against Poland. It is also not strange if we take into account which referees FIFA assigned for that match, and these are the same ones who sat in the VAR room during the final between Croatia and France 4 years ago, with the help of the corrupt chief referee of course - the whole world saw it.

There is no doubt that Argentina was better in last night's game, but as a nation you didn't really show that you know how to behave appropriately neither when you win nor when you lose - the Croatian jerseys that your players received ended up in the trash can, just like the Mexican ones before that - it is shameful behavior.
3720  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: For them it's always about the money on: December 14, 2022, 11:27:50 AM
I've I followed them anyways  Angry Angry Angry

You always have the choice not to do it anymore, because if you haven't realized by now that it's a waste of time, you will surely come to the realization at some point that the time you spend watching pointless YT videos can be used in a much better way. You have to understand that these people use the internet and available platforms to earn money and that they do it in a legal way - the content they present to the public is another matter.

Pump&Dump schemes are nothing new in the world of cryptocurrencies, and some people certainly profit this way - but I'm sure most only have losses. I would advise everyone to use their time more wisely, but it is said that people learn best from their mistakes and some will simply have to learn that way.
