3701  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the best Sport to bet on ? on: May 05, 2021, 08:56:15 AM
I often play LoL and always watch when there is a tournament going on. From my experience, the popular team doesn't always win. You should know when would this happen like analyzing their lineups and knowing who has the advantage on that game. Betting on any sport that you don't know completely is like having 50/50 of chance to win. It is still better if you know the game well to increase your chance of winning. Plus it is more enjoyable if you know the game because if you lose a bet, you can analyze why that the team you bet on didn't win.
That was when SKT wasn't dominating the scene. Now, most teams are of equal strength, with some dark horses here and there and there's also the BS meta of League. That's why the moment someone gets ahead, even if they were the bad team between the two, there's the guarantee of them actually winning the game. Though comparing league to irl sports is quite odd, since there really isn't a "meta" that basically lets one team steam roll over the other when a team has an advantage in irl sports.
3702  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: HOW MANY PEOPLE % DOES REALLY SUCCEED ON CRYPTOCURRENCY on: May 05, 2021, 07:28:05 AM
The general number for those who profit no matter the amount, or just people you can deem as "successful" in their crypto voyage? Well, exchanges would have the numbers for that, just that it's a question of whether they would give you the info (not the amount of profit, but rather a general number of traders who actually profit).

As for looking for coin projects, I suggest that you DYOR, really. Most altcoin projects that would visit you would be scams and the like, it'd just be a pain in the ass to filter it so might as well just look for one yourself.
3703  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Yahoo Hates BTC: "Forget Bitcoin: Here are The Crypto Assets To Follow" on: May 05, 2021, 06:48:27 AM
It's funny how he pushes altcoins of his picks while pushing down Bitcoin because of his seemingly negligible knowledge of what Bitcoin even is. It's unfortunate, but that's how it is when you want your article to actually be noticed. It's the shill of the altcoins, and what better way to actually advertise his coins than to talk down on what Bitcoin is right?

But hey, nothing changes, it is for a fact that some altcoins perform better at the bad sides of Bitcoin, but the fix for that is only a matter of time. Change wasn't something that was dropped in one whole package, rather it was built upon changes of changes from itself.
3704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: UFC Takes the Fight to NFTs, Reportedly Plans Its Own Cryptoasset on: May 05, 2021, 04:34:24 AM
Huh, guess everyone's jumping on the trend now, though it's rather understandable. With the amount of attention NFTs have gotten, plus the number of profits a company could get from that, even I would enter it. There would be quite an amount of avid fans jumping in on the chance to buy it out, pretty much expecting most sports to actually enter the scene now.

Rather curious what they would do with their creation of a crypto asset though. Was there any other sport that has done the same?

NFTs are going to make photography really attractive for photographers I'm starting to think of getting such skills to earn big with NFTs and may attend UFC nights just to take photos and then sell as NTF. Gonna be a good start of careers. I'm up for it. But why is this thread on Gambling?

Well, the best shots would still be obtained by the organizers themselves. Also, it's probably here since it's sports-related maybe?
3705  Other / Off-topic / Re: Slapping Tournament on: May 04, 2021, 10:50:04 AM
I will never understand the point of this "sport".It is fun to watch but I wonder how these guys do not get mad after so many slapping and start an even more brutal fight.Even ladies do this and I found it ugly for women to beat each other.
I don't really think this is counted as one even? It's just a tournament that people made for the heck of it afaik. Might turn into one in the near future, but verrryy low chance of happening since, well, it's people slapping each other.

LOL, this must be one of the dumbest competitions I have ever seen, along with the burrito eating contests. There is something to be said about a society that tends to make a competition of even the most simple facts or activities of life. I think it is much related to being bored of the activities... People just find that, for example, gardening is not fun enough, so they need to make a gardening competition.
Hey, it's the dumb things that people enjoy... for some reason. I enjoy it once or twice maybe, but not really in the long run, unlike those sports that have stood against time. Now those, no matter how many times I watch, would still 100% enjoy.
3706  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Africa still leading in BTC trading despite government policies on: May 04, 2021, 08:18:35 AM
Despite various rules put in place by some African countries to discourage their citizens from trading cryptocurrencies, they are still thriving.
A statement released by "documenting bitcoin", reveals that Africa is leading the world in peer-to-peer bitcoin trading volume growth this year so far.
Giving the unfair condition of the market in Africa especially Nigeria where the government has banned financial institutions from engaging in the buying or selling of crypto, this comes as a surprise.
Since you mentioned documentation then why not post a document here proving what you say is true? Africa to be the Leading BTC trading country? I doubt that there is any proof of this.
I admit that Africa is one of the Biggest continent and largest population but we also Knew how they are struggling in their economic status so how come that they can Lead the trading crypto when they are not having a bigger amount to use as trading material?
https://twitter.com/DocumentingBTC/status/1389205292047638530 (Not actually sure if same as OP, just looked up "DocumentingBTC")
Here you go
(Source for graph is in the comments)
They're basically seeing Bitcoin as a method to actually escape from the stupid policies in their country that basically makes them poor, and it's working well judging from the fact that they're currently the leading country for peer-to-peer trading. Goodluck to the government trying to stop them from escaping, people will always find a way to actually live, and Bitcoin seems like a pretty good method from their eyes. Not to mention that the government has already failed seeing the result right now, I don't really expect them to even succeed even in the future.
3707  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Feel Pressed Something while Gambling on: May 04, 2021, 07:06:47 AM
I was also surprised that usually casinos and bars would impose an age limit for someone to be able to enter and play in them, but it seems like the OP has a magic card so that she can freely enter the casino even though she is still a student  Huh or maybe her face looks older than her age so security doesn't think about checking the id card Grin , but to be honest even though nowadays online gambling platforms offer a lot of convenience in every way but traditional casinos are still the best in my opinion, not only because there are age restrictions but we can really enjoy the expressions of our opponents when experiencing great pressure in the game Grin
Hey its not like moms would only get their kids if they're underage, you never know. Some moms still take care of their kids even past 18 (legal age in most countries), so you never know. Especially in Asian countries where kids and parents could still live together even past what, age 25 or so? Plus, for real, even if her face looks older, a Casino treats their identity check quite strictly, so I highly doubt she was allowed to enter without an ID. Not to mention that EVEN if she did, her mom trying to get her is warrant for suspicion already, making the casino take action and possibly taking legal action for that.
3708  Other / Archival / Re: Everyone is following the same strategy on: May 04, 2021, 05:34:55 AM
Well, the end goal is all the same, just that the medium may be a tad bit different from one another. Winning in trading means that someone else is losing after all, so having the same strategies isn't entirely the truth. The basics is buy high sell low and that's pretty much what most traders follow, but strategies, in the end, depending on how the market moves, aka how other trader moves. In the end, the best strategy is to depend on how you actually react to the market demand, reading it basically means knowing what the market needs and an easy access to actually profiting.
3709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manga Betting on: May 04, 2021, 04:37:51 AM
Not reaallyy a good idea, especially since the winner is determined by someone, and not something. Unlike competitions where it's basically transparent how players win, betting on who wins in a manga seems unfruitful imo. As others have said, the ending has most likely been pre-determined, so having a bet in a pre-determined fight, I guess you can realize how stupid the idea sounds no? If it's with friends then feel free but it honestly isn't a good idea imo. Plot development could be seen at times and characters have their plot armors so the winners could be determined through that, and not really based on strength levels or skills.
3710  Economy / Speculation / Re: May 13th, Bitcoin will surge to $70k or it will be dump? on: May 03, 2021, 11:37:30 AM
A pump most likely. I mean, that's $20b, not really a small amount so I'd reckon you'd see quite some changes in the market and a positive one. How big though? Probably not so much. I'd reckon it'd only be the company that would make it surge, and that's it. I'm pretty sure people wouldn't panic buy over something like that, unlike when companies started doing so.

As for a dump, it'd be unlikely. There's absolutely no negative thing whether Alibaba bought Bitcoin or not, so I don't really see a reason as to why it would even happen.
3711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Top 10 casino sites on: May 03, 2021, 10:31:10 AM
I don't even know any lmao. Though I wouldn't find it weird honestly, most of the casinos I know are campaigns in this place (since those were the ones that made me enter crypto gambling in the first place). Only one I'm familiar would be 777 casino I suppose.

Anw for those curious, the list most probably came here https://www.gambling.com/online-casinos/slots/top-sites. Seems like it isn't "casinos" in general but rather casino slots. Kinda misleading, but hey whatevs.
3712  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: holding is not an easy thing on: May 03, 2021, 08:09:03 AM
Just ignore it, not the coins themselves but rather the value. Think of it as something like a collectible, like those pokemon cards you used to collect when you were a kid. Move them to a better place when needed to, and put up enough guarantee that they wouldn't be lost. That's it. Holding becomes difficult if you act like you're bloody gonna get rich in a week or two so you keep on watching the market. I say don't. Holding is called Holding for a reason, it's for a long term, and a very long one at that.

Check the market maybe every month or two, but always stick to the timeframe you were holding for (though its a case-by-case basis imo).
3713  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fine line between market investment and sports gambling on: May 03, 2021, 05:31:40 AM
they may have similarities in nature as it seems we are also gambling when it comes to market investments. but the processes involved are very different. if you are not a person who knows the financial market, can you make it thru the day on this venture? don't think so. same with sports gambling, if you are really not into sports, would be a very hard task for you to place bets as you have no idea what you are doing.
so what i am saying here - these 2 are quite similar in nature but if you know any of these 2 by heart, the gambling side will be reduced in its effect.
But there are indeed circumstances where you can just enter both markets without knowing anything, and yet still profit. Now this is purely the gambling side of both things, and if we were to get into it then it'd simply just be an act where you rely on luck. Now if we were taking the luck part away, then they're actually just the same, just that they research different things. It's like sports, you play tennis, I play volleyball, two different things and yet actually the same. You play, I play, we both have enemies to defeat, we train to defeat them, etc. The core idea is the same, but the specifics are quite different.
3714  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Feel Pressed Something while Gambling on: May 03, 2021, 04:21:16 AM
Hey being pressured and being embarrassed is something different, especially if your embarrassment stems from your pride since your mom went to get you, personally, in a casino. Pressure in gambling simply stems from the fact that it's either you're going for a huge bet of money, or the odds were so huge and you basically prayed tf out and had a winning chance out of it.

The man on the vid seemed pretty chill, though that's probably why it happened in the first place. Most people would actually act pretty chill if there was shit about to get out of his pants in the middle of a public area lmao.
3715  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Warren Buffett Agrees That Bitcoin Is "Disgusting" on: May 02, 2021, 02:02:46 PM
Hey, it's like making that certain someone use the computer to actually let it do the work, making stuff easier but instead refuses to do so and makes you do it his own way since he wants to. People who hate on Bitcoin will continue hating on Bitcoin no matter what, especially if it's been this long and the proof of Bitcoin being greater is, well basically itself already. No matter the reason they have, as long as they hate it, then they hate it, but their reasoning I suppose certainly isn't with Bitcoin stealing their money, nope certainly not Grin .
If they were to buy to BTC, they would keep it quiet and then disclose later. It would be a mindblowing successful investment if they did it, and then disclosed, Think micro strategy on steroids and with cocaine. Smiley They could easily acquire 10 Billion or so with stealth and turn that into a 25% or so gain once they disclose their purchase.
Could've stayed silent while investing in Bitcoin ngl.
3716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 25 arrested after Rab busts mini casino in Ashulia!! on: May 02, 2021, 12:18:40 PM
Regulating these entities make a lot more sense from a fiscal standpoint as well as a pragmatic perspective. You can control the edge that casinos have, ensure that they do not cheat, and make a bunch of tax revenue. Win-win.
Louder. Governments seem to refuse to acknowledge that banning something does not mean that it wouldn't happen. Being in control is a lot better than just removing it from your life. Sure, if it was just a small scale ones like related to our personal lives (addiction to something), it's okay, but as large scale country wise? It's impossible. Honestly, at this point, the only reason I'd actually accept for countries to refuse to gamble is that they're religious-based. It's probably the only reason that doesn't make sense, but since it's religion, it does (no offense to religions btw)
3717  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You could die from trading. on: May 02, 2021, 09:25:31 AM
Anything could kill you if you put importance to it, that or it affects your life way too much for you to actually ignore it. It's nothing new, just find something to actually contradict or counter the stress your feeling. As long as no one is negatively affected, you can enjoy it to the fullest imo.

One example

--> https://www.forbes.com/sites/sergeiklebnikov/2020/06/17/20-year-old-robinhood-customer-dies-by-suicide-after-seeing-a-730000-negative-balance/

This is the feeling when someone losses a lot or all of his assets. But this incident is clearly the fault of Robinhood.
Wasn't this the kid that "thought" he lost money in trading? Iirc it was just a mistake or something in the software side, he never really lost money just that it wasn't credited yet. I remembered reading this way back then and was a kind reminder for me to actually not enter trading back then since I bloody knew nothing. Poor kid though ngl.
3718  Economy / Speculation / Re: How risky do you feel investing in Bitcoin is in this point of time? on: May 02, 2021, 05:05:40 AM
Somewhat risky. It depends on the timeframe your investment can last, most long term investments of up to 2-3 years actually profit, while 1 year investments would still hit that 50/50 chance of actually hitting it off or losing profit. I myself just invest around $10, $20 every month, and just well, wait it out. I'm at half a year now and have had some profits but since the investment was low, the profit was low as well but hey I'd take anything. Day traders have the most risk imo since the market is well known to be very volatile, so your money could may as well just disappear in a blink of an eye, so that option is VERY risky.
3719  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What age bracket is perfect for gambling on: May 02, 2021, 02:18:31 AM
I think before anyone can provide a honest answer to the question will have to first go back to the reason why the age bracket was introduced in gambling.
The age bracket was introduced because of the huge gambling addiction happening within the youth. Yes, some adults are worse than the youth when it comes to gambling addiction at least they were mature enough to be responsible for what came after their addiction.
The problem if a gambler is not in legal age is, most likely he/she is still depending on his parents, using the given allowance for school or in other important expenses. I think the right age for someone to be a gambler is you're already independent, earning through your own hard work, and knows the responsibility. Its true that adults are mature enough to face the consequences of their action and can handle the situation without depending on anyone but sometimes thats not always the case.
I'd argue that some adults don't actually take responsibility for their addiction, the best examples would be families where abuse is quite rampant due to debts. It's either the father/mother side + the children are being physically abused due to the addiction of the other parent. Being an adult does not equate to being mature/responsible for their actions. Adults are always, ALWAYS worse than youth when it comes to actually take responsibility imo because they've ridden through time already, they know the pros and cons where as the youth is still afraid of consequences, hence why they always take responsibility to actually do something right.
3720  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's your bet? how many years could bitcoin go to its highest? on: May 01, 2021, 05:32:19 AM
Well, my guess would be 4 years later? Though I'd also reckon that maybe in less than half a year we'd experience a bit more of the bullish season before the ups and downs steady movement that Bitcoin has always done in the past few years. As for the peak though, that's honestly really hard to say. It's still a matter of time before we even experience mass adoption, and who knows what would happen by then? I'd reckon that the supply of Bitcoin would've almost been mined by then (around half a decade maybe?) before we even experience mass adoptions, and would then experience another bullish season due to demand for it.
