3721  Other / Archival / Re: Question to merit sources on: August 19, 2020, 06:15:15 PM
and if you have specific suspicious you can either post it in Meta, or tell theymos directly.

I made an observation that @cabalism13 was part of a group that were meriting/DTing each other and he gave me DT distrust.  The system is broken.

or tell theymos directly.

theymos has never responded in the past (and there is no evidence action was taken on those PM's) so I have no faith that anything would happen if I again PM'ed him.
3722  Other / Archival / Re: Question to merit sources on: August 19, 2020, 10:34:54 AM
There's nothing that says you *have*to* pass merits on once you have received them.  Theymos has stated that merits *may* decay over time (at a future date - presumably if the merits aren't forwarded on) I feel handing out 50 merits in one lump is lazy and shouldn't be allowed to occur.  I also feel merit sources should be audited and should be unable to hand merits out to other merit sources, or to like-minded gang-members.

If you look at the higher end recipients of merits almost all of their merits are gifted to them in clumps from co-gang members.
3723  Other / Meta / Re: 2020 Merit Source Application - TheBeardedBaby. on: August 19, 2020, 10:29:18 AM
I don't know why I didn't notice this thread before now.

For the moment I have just one question:

Background:

A few weeks ago I posted a set of questions to each of two UID's who, like yourself, are hoping to become merit sources.

  • One has not responded to my questions, but has to others' posted since.
  • The other has engaged in DT trust abuse in the hopes to silence my questions.

Question:

So, my question to you is should either of those merit source applicants be taken seriously, or discounted?
3724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: New Gambling idea - How it can be "patented"? on: August 19, 2020, 10:14:57 AM
I have a question , and maybe you're more expert about this argument...
If some one get an idea about a New Gambling game, it can be "patented"?  If yes how it can be done?

Just as E.G. "fantasy-football" how to protect the idea of a game like this? just with trademark?

You wouldn't have to "patent" a new game idea, rather check out creative commons and apply a specific set of guidelines for how your work is shared.

To start with, you need to publish your idea online and have it archived immediately - in the published work you need to have Creative Commons attributions set already.  You should also get an MD5 checksum of your work which you drop to something concrete (such as a block chain) BEFORE you publish your work.

Good luck, and keep up posted how you go.
3725  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots 103: More In-Depth about Return To Player (RTP) (With Poll) on: August 19, 2020, 10:09:43 AM
How about RTP in games that allow users to customize the paylines where they can bet on 1 of 10 pay lines up to 10 of 10 (max) paylines? ...

I shudder to think what kind of scam accusations, or beat-the-dead-horse kinds of threads that would be started and go on for months if someone were to claim they were owed the house on a floating set of rules on a given day.

It reminds me of Fizbin.
3726  Economy / Lending / Re: Need loan 0.00040000 BTC on: August 19, 2020, 10:06:07 AM
Timelord2067 , it is a good catch. So, this user tried to post several thread and also I think sent personal message to several lender to take the loan. I don't think he is legit. I think legit lender do not post on multiple thread before rejecting/locking previous one. And also do not send personal message to multiple people.

Thanks for the vote of confidence - it's not just the application, or the trust feedback that should be considered, but the number of times a user has made application recently.  Once or twice in a week is usual while three or four lenders on the same day tells me the applicant is getting desperate, or it's a scam, exit or otherwise.  (and for such a shitty small amount too)
3727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin casinos to surge in German market? on: August 19, 2020, 10:02:24 AM
How many Online Casinos are either registered in Germany, or are licensed to accept players from Germany?  It might help to have a look at which markets accept Crypto Vs Fiat in the form of Credit Cards and see if the Crypto are out pacing the Fiat only sites.

3729  Other / Meta / Re: [Ref] Hey theymos I've got a brilliant idea (honest!) & other symbols of use on: August 18, 2020, 09:27:00 PM
The first thing that comes to mind is how to determine which coins are "top coins": market cap is never a good measure, trade volume is faked by many exchanges, forum activity is hyped by spammers, and that's just off the top of my head.

Perhaps transaction volume?

Other than that, I don't see much harm. But it feels wrong to give altcoins significance by adding their symbol on a forum about Bitcoin.

I've read a couple of times the notion that this is a BitCoin Forum - true, it wouldn't be called bitcointalk dot org if it wasn't, however from what I can tell much earlier than when I first joined in 2013 many alt coins have been launched here on this bitcoin forum.  I have no doubt that there has even been cross-pollination of ideas between bitcoin and the alts that share the car park.

Wow, I was surprised at the voting results.

At first the votes went the other way - I think a few people changed their minds/votes.  Undecided

And those other symbols OP suggested aren't bad ones to add, either (except perhaps the ones for gender; that's a Pandora's box that I don't think ought to be opened).

I just grabbed a bunch from Open Office to show the potential symbols that could be used.
3730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin casinos to surge in German market? on: August 18, 2020, 12:50:36 AM
You would really need to look at whether or not it's a reaction to the global downturn, or, it's in response to fraudulent activities (or some other credit-card based reason) or even if it is in response to a political or religious group pressuring the German Government.

Given BitCoin can be purchased via credit card, then it's quite likely that the DE Govt will look eventually to putting restrictive measures in place on their use in online Casinos.

3732  Economy / Lending / Re: Need small loan on: August 17, 2020, 08:11:43 AM
I am talking about current account.

Thread archived for future reference: [1a], [1b] - You really should do your research before making loan applications in case it comes back to bight you on the ass.
3733  Economy / Lending / Re: Need small loan on: August 17, 2020, 07:59:37 AM
Hi
I need small loan
Collateral bitcointalk account
Thanks

Which BitCoinTalk account are you hoping to use as collateral - the one you started this thread with, or, another one which you feel is worth more?
3734  Economy / Lending / Re: Micro loan on: August 17, 2020, 07:57:28 AM
Apart from the absurdity of what you're asking, you've edited both your OP and your reply which means you could vary the terms you are seeking in the hope of not paying on time (if at all).
3735  Economy / Lending / Re: loans here collateral what are the rates? on: August 17, 2020, 07:53:53 AM
what are the rates for example   how much loan you could get

collateral   100$   500$  1000$ and so....

what are the rates with stable ccoins like usdt loan with usdt collateral.

Loans with about 125% of the funds being asked for is fairly typical - that and the collateral funds have to be relatively stable in the prices, not a shit coin that gets pumped and dumped all the time so they can be liquidated at a moments notice if need be.
3736  Economy / Lending / Re: Need loan 0.00040000 BTC on: August 17, 2020, 07:50:32 AM
Given the lender started three similar lending threads [1a] [1b] in the local Trgovina (Croatian) section the day after this thread was started (and then went off-line a day later and hasn't been back online in the following eight days) I'd say there's a fair chance the user was fishing for a quick fix from an unsuspecting passerby.
3737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots 103: More In-Depth about Return To Player (RTP) (With Poll) on: August 17, 2020, 07:04:30 AM
I've got to admit I hadn't really given this very much thought, but if I can put it into context of Roulette, then the Zero/Double Zero is the House edge for that particular game which is a 1/37 or 2in38 return to the house which is ~ 3% to about ~ 5% so of your answers, I'd go with ~ 97%
3738  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Buying PayPal USD with BTC i have on: August 17, 2020, 06:38:38 AM
Don't deal with DayTrader27. He is a scammer after i sent $50. He went to offline and not replying anymore. Don't believe him.

I'm sorry to hear you've had a bad experience, have you filled out a scam accusation in the so named section?

ok my discord is heropanda#1334

You probably shouldn't do deals off site - there's less opportunity to track the scammer, or yourself.

its mean goods and service paypal payment
