3721  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Libra never mentioned "Bitcoin" in Whitepaper on: June 18, 2019, 06:36:15 PM
Ain't Bitcoin what started Blockchain Technology?

Everyone knows what started the blockchain technology.
Personally, I find it normal if Bitcoin is not referred in a whitepaper. After all, this whitepaper is about Libra and not Bitcoin, if you see my point.
3722  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't lose your bitcoin on: June 18, 2019, 06:32:44 PM
I was in a bus with a friend of mine and he was telling how he lost some bitcoin trading it with some people he found on social media platform(instagram to be precise) and just like this guy many people are being defrauded by this type of people

This type of criminals claims to trading in various sectors from selling and buying of bitcoin to also trading Giftcards and iTunes card many of them don't even give there customers an avenue to involve an escrow.

There adverts can be gotten every where showing altered or stolen transcation they claimed to have completed in the past just to entice prospective victims

And even the few once that are sincere still try to get a huge chunk from the percentage they collect from trading with anyone.
Your chances of falling into the wrong hands as a newbie when trading in bitcoin is high so it better to do things in a more transparent way but just to let you know there is no completely safe way.
I would advice to sell or buy your bitcoin from exchanges. There are good exchanges out there do your research and ask questions where necessary then select an exchange register(oblige kyc if asked) keep your details and information safe then this would become yours and you can trade your bitcoin at fast rate and lower transcation fees most of this self acclaimed buyers and sellers of bitcoin do have there exchanges where they trade your bitcoin and then charge you for it.

We are living in 2019 where so many scams have already happened till now.
If someone gets scammed he is dumb. They still realize that they can make easy money for bitcoin, a thing that it is not possible in every sector.
3723  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be junk/trash after ban in 2 big countries on: June 18, 2019, 06:30:46 PM
Bitcoin got banned in India and China so Bitcoin is worthless in these 2 countries. People of India will lose $10,000 or $100,000 if they do not get buyers in other countries at $7000.

But who will buy 1 Bitcoin for $7000 ??  Grin  Insider's Information for Gold and Silver

Bollywood superstar "Amitabh Bachchan" earned multi-million dollars by starting a Bitcoin company.

These two countries are huge markets for the crypto industry however there will be options for them to buy and sell crypto. OTC or localbitcoins are one of the available solutions that it might have.
Bitcoin will not be dead or junk because there are many other huge markets that are going to disrupt.
3724  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Money laundering via BTC on: June 18, 2019, 06:26:39 PM
Is it possible to do money laundering via bitcoin? I mean as no one knows if you have bitcoin and how much bitcoin do you actually own, it could be used to convert black money to white right? Or at least store your black money without much hassle. But there is the risk of its value but I think for people who have lots of black money and don't want to be caught, this risk might be worth taking for them isn't it?
What are your thoughts?

If you want to do something illegal, bad , or anything negative and you dont want to be traced then bitcoin transfer is the right thing to do that. Anything about it is anonymous but i dont think its still a hundred percent no trace at all knowing most of the sites and exchanges requires KYC nowadays.

Still you can be traced easily. In your first deposit you have to do a KYC in order to convert fiat to crypto. This is a starting point to be traced.
If you want not to be traced then the best solution is to use a crypto that confirms anonymity such as Monero.
3725  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: EU Warns Malta of the Dangers of Ignoring Money Laundering on: June 18, 2019, 06:24:19 PM
https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/eu-warns-malta-of-the-dangers-of-neglecting-money-laundering

Malta aka Blockchain Island has become the mecca crypto due to its favorable crypto laws. With the flood of crypto money to the island it's been taking the right steps to work on compliance such as partnering with crypto security firm CipherTrace to identify and prevent crypto crime.

Steps like this seems to help make the government quite happy in how to handle crypto and manage risk in countries. Would you agree? What else do we need to implement or be sure to watch out for?

Money laundering happens also in countries that they haven't adopted the blockchain technology.
They just found a way to regulate a country that seems to be thriving economically without giving them a crap about the decisions of the EU.
3726  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the reason Amazon hasn't adopted Bitcoin? on: June 18, 2019, 03:01:03 PM
Amazon is the largest e-commerce company in the world. All their products are built on developing and enhanced technology. Since its inception, Amazon has always fostered a positive attitude towards new trends and the latest technological advances, this is because they are part of the internet revolution, a revolution that can only be won by being optimistic about technology.

So, why hasn't Amazon adopted Bitcoin?

Let's see this way, Bitcoin praised the Amazon package very well. Amazon has an international reach and allows people to buy products from sellers in countries from all over the world.

Part of the Amazon revolution is the shrinking of the earth, which means people can buy products internationally at lower prices and send them in a short time.

As is well known, Amazon only supports payments through FIAT currencies and traditional banks, this can slow down the payment process and means that merchants are charged. But using Bitcoin will erase, both of these problems.

In addition, the use of Bitcoin will also allow Bitcoin investors to access the giant platform wherever they are.

Problems that hinder the adoption of Bitcoin

The problem here is because of the lack of regulation around Bitcoin, not because Amazon is afraid of Bitcoin or because they are afraid of a lack of regulation, but this seems to be an Amazon case that is too big to adopt a product that can eventually fail.

If a company the size of Amazon continues to adopt Bitcoin, it will cause a massive surge in asset popularity, which can ultimately put Amazon or Bitcoin at risk. I think the message here is that Amazon is not afraid of Bitcoin, they just haven't accepted Bitcoin and are still in advanced studies.

Will Amazon adopt Bitcoin?

We know that Amazon, among other giants like Facebook, is exploring blockchain technology. When crypto is becoming more mainstream and when Bitcoin becomes more mature we can begin to hope that companies like Amazon will start accepting Bitcoin payments, maybe now, adoption is not safe enough for e-commerce giants, and this is to protect their customers.

Technologies like bitcoin is mostly adopted from companies that are chasing the competition.
Amazon is the largest company in the world and the richest. They don't need to change anything in their operational model. They work perfectly and this is depicted on their sales and profits.
3727  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Is Not Decentralized on: June 18, 2019, 02:58:25 PM
90% of bitcoin hold by whales, only 10% of bitcoin hold by people, whales  can do anything pump btc to moon or dump it to hell,
BUT ask yourself 1 question: What Happens to Bitcoin After All 21 Million Are Mined? then whales completely control bitcoin price.
Bitcoin Is Not Decentralized.

I don't think that 90% of bitcoin holders are whales, if you place a source for that then I will believe you.
Also, you will never know what would be the outcome when all the bitcoin will be mined. Do you know who will be the owner of them?
3728  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The past, present and future of Bitcoin? on: June 18, 2019, 02:55:12 PM
I see it easier to see BTC at 3K once again rather than 20K... This thing is wild

The easier it can get at 3k the same it could reach 20k.
The market is very volatile and you cannot predict what is coming next. The only thing that you can say about the present and the future of bitcoin is that it is a very profitable investment, considering that 3k is already high enough from the initial price that it was offered.
3729  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will You Advise Newbies To Enter Bitcoin Now? on: June 18, 2019, 02:53:12 PM
My advice will be very simple. And that is to invest your time first before you invest your money. You can get more time, but you can’t easily get more money. However, time is also money so do not spend it carelessly.

Get yourself proper Crypto Knowledge, as that’s the route that will take you towards making good and healthy money. If the focus goes directly for making money, it will not benefit you at all. So this is very much my advice.

And I would add to that, that the best option that a newbie have is to hunt a job in the blockchain industry based on the skills and knowledge they have.
It is a more secure way to enter the cryptocurrency space and of course they won't miss the train.
Thus, In my opinion, it is good to advice newbies to enter crypto but not with investing but with working on the industry.
3730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: June 18, 2019, 02:51:19 PM
The premier league is already strong.
I don't think that we are going to see big signings from teams in EPL this season. Probably more outgoing that inbound.

I think Man Utd will make signings, they have to. They’re still a massive club deapute recent struggles. If they want to get back amongst the big boys competing for the big trophies they’re going to have to spend to compete.

Manchester United has many good players.
They just need to sign a good coach that will make them work hard. Pogba is an example of a great player that made a bad season because he didn't work hard. And also don't forget that those teams has many young players from their youth clubs.
3731  Economy / Economics / Re: The production of money... is SCAM! on: June 17, 2019, 04:53:53 PM
Printing money is the right of the country concerned, however, printing money cannot be done carelessly, the government of a country will calculate the amount of money printed to circulate in its country as needed, because if not, inflation will occur (decrease in currency) because of the large amount of money circulating will increase the price of the price and decrease the value of the currency.

At the beginning of your statement it seems like you support the act of printing money.
As you said, printing money is very dangerous for inflation and it is the way why taxes go up along with the prices making people poorer.
3732  Economy / Speculation / Re: June 2019 - Bitcoin hits 10K, where next on: June 17, 2019, 04:50:49 PM
As of today Bitcoin gained sharply in price reaching two years high crossing the barrier of $10 K. What price do you think Bitcoin would achieve in this bull run? Would it be over 20K or below?
Maybe for this year, $15k still can be reached. Don't know what month, but in 6 months actually bitcoin price can increased and steady as long there are no something bad come with news or anything else like hacked news, etc.

It is very possible.
As the market goes right now it seems that it can hit the target of 15k.
If it will start going the opposite way and see a blood market, then we will prolly change our minds.
3733  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: June 17, 2019, 04:46:57 PM
Now that season has ended I am curious to see any progress on the LA Lakers situation.
Last year it was pretty ba and I want to see if LeBron is going to solve the problems in the team and play a vital role in next season.
3734  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: June 17, 2019, 04:44:33 PM
No big signings in the PL yet, only outgoing - Hazard going to Real Madrid which will make them a lot weaker.
I guess players will start moving soon, the new season isn’t really all that long away.

The premier league is already strong.
I don't think that we are going to see big signings from teams in EPL this season. Probably more outgoing that inbound.
3735  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin dashing towards $10k or more on: June 17, 2019, 02:56:20 PM
https://btcgrinders.com/blog/Bitcoin-Trading-Analysis

Our experts currently suggest going long on Bitcoin which currently sits at approximately $9200. A good price point to exit would be $10,000. If you want to get a bit adventurous, you may even set your exit point at $10,500 or $11,000......

Indeed it does but this doesn't show me a healthy market.
The increase in bitcoin price in not depicted in the price of altcoins which makes me wonder if it is just a meaningless pump or it goes for the next bull market.
3736  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10000 is just around the corner it seems. on: June 17, 2019, 12:19:52 PM
I kind of expected a short bear market after the May pump, but it seems that stronger powers are against that. This pump is crucial to get enough momentum to reach $10000, as I've seen here: https://cryptobriefing.com/bitcoin-price-analysis-5-digits/

Your speculation seems to be turning into reality.
First we had the bear market after the May pump and now we are heading towards a powerful support at around 9k. Having said that, 10k seems to be closer than ever, and I hope it will come really soon.
3737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: June 17, 2019, 11:52:58 AM
Hahaha, i always had a feeling it was never going to be Pep to Juventus. I mean chap just grabbed a couple of trophies for City after a rocky start when he had just join the EPL. Why would he leave right now yet his momentum is just getting started?  Grin

Great momentum? lol
The Board of Manchester City hired him because the previous manager were unable to get them the Champions League title.
Guardiola is still unsuccessful on that, so i think that they will think of firing him.
3738  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 17, 2019, 11:49:11 AM
Bye bye Sarriball in England. Not sure if this counts as speculation in transfer but I have got to ask myself... Has Abramovich lost his passion for Chelski? All those off field politics problems. The club seemingly just unable to hold steady without guidance. His lack of appetite to ensure Sarri had at least 3 seasons to stamp his style.

Hard to see the Blues find their way this season. When people are even discussing Lampard or Terry it sounds dire.

Maybe Ashley won't be the only club to sell?

Sarri left due to the financial regulation that chelsea faces this season.
No manager will stay in this position without having the assurance of making signings during the transfer window.
Only Lampard and Terry can help the club now with this situation.
3739  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why don't we set up capitalist and socialist communes to test which is better? on: June 17, 2019, 11:46:47 AM
OK..

Lets get 2 islands and dump 1,000 people on each of them..

One is allowed to bring anything they want, buy and sell anything they want, and give voluntary charity to anyone they want.. Only the highest value people are allowed to come, so if you are poor and stupid you can't come..

The other the people are only allowed to bring what they have made themselves. They cannot have any products produced by capitalism or acquired through trade. When they get there everyone has to put everything they brought into a pile in the middle that now belongs to everyone, no personal property.. Only the highest value victim cards can come, so only the poorest, stupidest, and most whacked out people can come..

Then leave them on their island to survive, or not survive..
Maybe the commies can survive by hunter/gatherer means and grow some food if they brought some plants..

I would suggest the capitalists create a tourist attraction on their island to get people coming to spend money. They could also grow a high value cash crop for export, do internet jobs, start an industry, etc..

Sit back and watch?

Great example to illustrate the differences between those two systems.
The one seems that have all the possibilities to grow while the other seems that they will just try to sustain their hunger.
3740  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading without losses? on: June 16, 2019, 07:32:32 AM
Well, I am only a newbie in trading, but I want to become a professional. So my question is what is better to start from. For instance, I found the list of trading bots https://zycrypto.com/top-5-cryptocurrency-trading-bots/ and want to know, if I can use them for the fact income.

If you want to be a trading expert you won't need any trading bot LOL 😂
I advise you to start reading technicalities and how to interpret charts. It will help you a lot. And of course trial and error is another way of learning.
