https://www.ubs.com/microsites/blockchain-report/en/home.html

If you ask me, they are only paving the way for us. Once some "blockchain utility settlement coin with sugar and cream" will be officially recognized Bitcoin will destroy the $1000 mark. We are getting there.

It's only about when, it will happen. BTC will be like gold, better than gold.

Thanks for the info cryptonit, it seems Diamond Coin has an even distribution among the different holders. Good sign for an alternative coin.
I share your idea about the market: I've seen it before and it will always happen. Nothing to worry about at the moment.
3723  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: September 09, 2016, 06:24:33 AM
Weinzierl's Schalke 04 will face a difficult obstacle playing against Ancelotti's Bayern Munich. As many of you pointed out Munich is playing very well and I doubt they will miss their fifth win in the league.
My pick for this game is

Schalke 04 - Bayern Munich Bayern wins (1-2 maybe)

I will miss the camel running relentlessly on the Silkcoin wallet. I hope you will put it somewhere (like a doodle, easter egg, whatever)
He has been such a loyal friend for so long Cheesy

By the way, waiting for the weaver to come.

Surprised to see people suggest blockchain.info *sigh*

I'd go with Trezor or paper wallet (paper if you know what you're doing...)

Either they have no basis of cryptography or they really don't know that if they not hold (control) their private keys they have nothing.
They should go tell Mt.Gox, Mintpal and Co. what does it mean when a third-party controls "our" keys for us.

As of my wallets, cold storage for savings and Mycelium on Android for everyday use.
Forgetting about the people is suggesting about blockchain become a safe wallet, i have a question in your opinions which is better, trezor or ledger? Your answer will really helpful for me for choosing the hardware wallet between trezor and ledger.

I'm sorry but I have no aswer for you: I've never used an hardware wallet so I don't want to say anything about them. You can find good guides around here so do your own research: it's your money in the end.  Wink

3727  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-09-07]Coindesk - Deloitte is Now Running a Bitcoin ATM on: September 08, 2016, 06:28:22 AM
Look who's running a Bitcoin ATM!
Accounting firm Deloitte decided to "join" us. Interesting

'Big Four' accounting firm Deloitte is now the owner and operator of its first bitcoin ATM.

After a quiet unveiling yesterday in the downtown Toronto offices of Deloitte's Rubix blockchain division, the bitcoin transaction machine, or BTM, is now ready to exchange digital currency for Canadian dollars.

I've SILK on poloniex. Is this the same thing?

You need to download and sync the old Silkcoin wallet and move your coins from Poloniex, click here. Once Weaver opens for deposit register an account and send them there.

Guys just bear with me for a sec till I upload the recent bootstrap
The one on drive is a week old
It will only take 5 minutes and you don't have to wait that much for the wallet to sync

Check this post if you need help
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1427296.msg14495102#msg14495102

I am quoting the above post from ttoroie because it is an important update and it was at the bottom of page 12 (where no one will see it).

Once again: move your silk out of poloniex and send them to this working wallet. Then wait for the Weaver to swap or wait until the 17th when a snapshot of all the SILK addresses will be performed.

If you find troubles update, syncing, etc ask: somebody here will help you. Smiley

I will help Timelord a little by showing how you make the same mistakes in the English language
...
Why all the connected accounts make the same mistakes?
I'm not going to judge whether or not these users are alts, but the language mistakes are very small and very common. I think it's a safe guess to say millions of people make the exact same mistake, which makes it very thin evidence.
On top of that, certain language mistakes could be common to people who share the same (non-English) native language. Based on certain mistakes I can guess someone is Dutch for example.

I mean probably there was no need to look at his posting history, the transactions said a lot already.
But the language can be used to recognize similar writing styles. And after having a look at those posts I guessed they were from the same guy.

He confirmed anyway.

I do like the website design a lot and I'd say your funny game is pretty addictive too.
Got some free bits and played those. I'll spread the word to some friends.
very easy to play, thanks for giving away some bits to try before depositing.
cool
3731  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-09-07] SWIFT Institute Report Summary: Bitcoin Isn't Going Anywhere Fast on: September 07, 2016, 06:10:38 PM
Poor SWIFT boys after all this time they still fight Bitcoin.
Bitcoin was never meant to be fast, it's like water on a rock. Eventually it will carve a hole into it.

SWIFT people don't be afraid of disappear one day, you won't even realize that happened.
3732  Economy / Reputation / Re: Known alts of anyone: User generated on: September 07, 2016, 06:05:08 PM

It depends on the number of coins you are holding. If its a low amount you can keep it even in blockchain.info or any other web wallet. If its low to medium amount you can keep it in Core, Multibit, Electrum. For peace of mind do like I just did 2 days ago and bought the Ledger HW.1 wallet, a malware proof hardware wallet for a really cheap price of only 15 Euro or 0.027 BTC. You can sleep well at night knowing that even if your computer security is compromised your bitcoins are safe with this wallet as every transaction is done through the secure malware proof chip of this wallet. I can't wait to have it, should be here after a few days.

if it's (if it is) ...

Buying an account does more harm than good to this forum and thats why anyone who explicitly deals with account buying and selling usually gets red negative trust here. I mean its allowed but not recommended. A lot of people buy accounts only to scam in loan section or to join a signature campaign and this way being a farmer of money. That's why this is not recommended at all. Rank up your only account and improve your post quality , people will love honest persons in here and even signature campaigns when you rank up levels. I know a lot of people in the digital goods or auctions section when bidding or asking for account data they only want to see if there is good post quality so they can join a signature. That is really unfair to members who have waited months to rank up levels and to join the signatures. But it happens and we cannot do nothing to stop it here because even if we do, the selling and buying of accounts moves outside of this forum and is even less documented. Here we may have a chance to find what account is sold by watching the token when sellers give it and make our guesses.

that's (that is) ...
it's (it is)

Bitcoins can be good way to store money but i dont think there are allot of peopel wants this because when you store bitcoins as the meaning to safe money and the price drops allot all your money is gone.

Only few people believes that the price of bitcoin will decrease with the passing of time so they save their money in their computer which is safer than the bank holding the money for you. Banks can be stolen just like bitcoins but with bitcoins its the user responsibility to safeguard his coins. Bitcoin is a good way to store money.

again it's (it is)

This is a perfect copy cat website like the famous well known ponzi cloud mining scams which failed during the months of June and July , specifically CLDmine and Hashocean. And that was no surprise to me as every one needs to make some vacations and I believe they did the best vacations of their entire life with money stolen from users which don't think much before sending the coins to such websites. This is no exception, its just like them and chances are you will say good bye to your coins and never see them again.

Why all the connected accounts make the same mistakes?
I mean, I believed Timelord in the first place, I did some digging because you clearly denied.

Why is this pumping place so quiet?Huh   Huh

Because either we go to the moon and beyond or we don't need to post non-sense about price variations we have been seeing over and over again.
Consider there are plenty of bullish threads out there so pick the one you like the most.

Yes SC was the old ticker for Silkcoin. It's a bit unfortunate they did not change it since it reminds the old Silkcoin robbery of 2014.

But this project is moving on, don't forget to move your coins out of Poloniex.
3735  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-09-05] MIT Report: Blockchain for Banks - New Era or Lipstick on Pig? on: September 06, 2016, 09:39:33 AM
This is a must read!  Wink

Could rapid innovation in the fintech space lead to the end of banks as we know them? A recent report from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) titled Digital Banking Manifesto: The End of Banks explores these possibilities.

As Mark Mullen, the Chief Executive of Atom, said in 2015:

Quote
“Banks are trying to be cool and hip and build super cool digital front ends. But it’s like putting lipstick on a pig - ultimately it’s still a pig and the new front end is still running into an awful digital back end."

3736  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where are you currently sitting on the Bitcoin risk/reward spectrum? on: September 06, 2016, 06:47:00 AM
My thoughts continue to be that Bitcoin will only be fully appreciated in the event of a crisis.

Granted, we haven't seen how Bitcoin reacts in a crisis, however my rationale behind putting money in was that a) global debt levels are unsustainable, b) currency wars make everything unstable and c) destroying banking & finance fee thieving is excellent.

Three excellent points I would say, I share them.
Not that we want a crisis here but all the relevant economic indicators say that we are running out of time. The global financial situation is like a star ready to burst. If that will happen maybe BTC will reach a true global recognition as the best store of value alternative to gold.
Most of the investors already see it that way.

I have to report that on Android 4.3 the app crashes at start unfortunately.

In any case I read and looked very closely what are the actual app functionalities and I'd say this is going to be something good. I do hope the development will continue because it can be a killer app!
Good DMD is a privileged coin in this sense.

Confirming the above. At present I am not able to update my android version because my phone will not receive any other updates.
It would be nice to know if it is just me or is it a problem with all the 4.3 versions.

Thanks
3738  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-09-05] How blockchain will disrupt your business on: September 06, 2016, 06:33:47 AM
There are still challenges to overcome, but blockchain technology stands poised to rewrite how business is conducted if its potential is achieved. Are you ready?
Like mobile and cloud, blockchain — first implemented in the original source code of bitcoin in 2009 — stands poised to profoundly disrupt business. If it lives up to its promise, it won't just be financial institutions that are disrupted.

Albania - Macedonia nullified my parlay. Those games in Eastern Europe can be really difficult to predict. My bad I played that game instead of some easier ones.
I got Italy and Spain correctly but I missed Albania.

All my funds have been moved correctly.

Don't forget to move your funds from Poloniex. Either stake your coins for a few more days with the wallet and the synced blockchain (credit to ttororie) or move them to Bittrex. Time will fly.
