Considering that not all areas in the world are able to access the technology to use bitcoin and the fact that bitcoin is not very well known among many people, I do not believe that bitcoin will ever replace the dollar. Bitcoin may become a popular way to spend and invest money, but the chance of it replacing our current currency is very low.
Of course we cannot expect everybody use bitcoins, and even the title of the thread only says about dollars, how about other countries who are using pesos, or yuan, we have different currencies per countries but I think the most adopters of bitcoins came from countries using dollars as their legal tender. |

This past days, Bitcoin keep on Rising. Now it more than 700$ mark, Lots of thing might happen before July. If Bitcoin will hit 800$ i will sell all Bitcoin i have.
yeah it's been gone more than $700, it is possible that before halving the price will touch $800, there's still time 1 month toward halving, and it really does look easy to achieve $800. As investment gold is really better, tusted and timetested but i don't know nothing about bitcoin investments, what percentage of risk and other stuff, for me gold is better in this case.

Actually it is good for bitcoin and also for us, in this time, day to day bitcoin price is going up, and that is good for all of us, because in this way, we are getting the profit. I think it is a bigger chance, because without green to defend the paint the cavaliers might dominate in the inside. Lebron know's how important this game to preserve his legacy so he would go all in for this game. Although green is great factor in defense and offense i think it doesnt matter to gsw since they have great rooster where they can relly on and gsw surely make an adjustment for that situation they have iguodala and barnes both of them can defense in the paint like they do on game 4, i really can say gsw will surely sweep cavs because they play solo game for their last finals series thats why they are beaten. I have a different view on this game, if it is the correct judgement of the NBA to suspend green then that was too timely because with him they have a great chance of finishing the series, I doubt on NBA because they want to extend this series so that lebron and company can win in the championship. A lot of people here gamble to become rich, but some do it for fun.
The question is, if you wake up tomorrow with 50 million dollars, would you still gamble for fun, or would you forget about gambling and do other stuff? Personally I think I would still gamble. I do it now, and I know I realistically will never get rich off gambling, because I barely do it and I don't risk much money, just for fun sometimes, to test my luck.
So if I had a lot of money, I would do bigger gambles, but they would still enter in the "for fun" amount (for the new 50 million standard). For example, gambling 1K a month would be irrelevant, and winning with a 1K bet can give you big rewards if you are lucky. It would still be fun, in fact more fun, and it would be as non risky as it is now, in terms of going financially bankrupt.
i think there are allot of peole who want to gamble just for the fun because they like the game so much so i think there are also people who are still rich and still gambling but i dont think that would be something for me. There are really patronizers of gambling sites and that is why gambling sites are making a lot of money, the feeling you get in gambling is really different that doing ordinary things, as in gambling if you are winning you will feel like you are the god of gambling that you cannot lose and would try to push our luck. |

I also think the same, the price of bitcoin is high only because it has demand, people have trust on it, and are converting their money to bitcoin in order to use it for their business and other purposes, and if people were not have trust on it then there would no existence of it. I agree with you whenever the demand of bitcoin is increased the value of bitcoin is increased , and in the last weeka big increase in the price of bitcoin is only because people are preparing for getting profit from the halving event and so they are buying. Price is going higher at a moment but even if in future price drops then we should still keep on believing in bitcoin as it has a great future ahead involving higher price. If we keep believe on bitcoin and stay in support with it and do not sell all the coins to get rid from it then I don't think that the price will go down. I've been running a poll for some time now about the value of 1 bitcoin by 2020 and it's safe to say a lot of different opinions and guesses are made. This poll completes the other one and i'm really looking forward to everyone's input in this. Tnx for your input  2020 is 4 years away, and we could really do a lot of things with those 4 years. But i think the question should be a bit more long term, perhaps after a decade is a good timeframe to ask this question. I think that the majority of the population will know about bitcoin by 2020, but might not use it. Probably 10% would use it by 2020 I think. 10% is already a good figure and for me that could be considered a massive adoption.
