3721  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: My S9K stopped working after I cleaned them... on: December 30, 2021, 11:33:40 PM
Or it might be a connection issue between the hashboard and control board.
Try to clean them again and check all connectors and sockets and maybe they have full of rust and dust.

Using things like water, soap water or vacuum cleaner will guarantee a bad result

Cheesy I'm not going to do that it's very bad for electronic parts of the miner and it would end up short circuit or parts missing.
3722  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Recovering wallet with .dat files (no key phrases) on: December 30, 2021, 03:41:58 PM
I have followed the steps provided, How can I load up the wallet I have saved? The image below shows the files from bitcoin core. Thank you guys for the help you have provided me with.

Did you see the wallet with a notepad icon?

If that is what you want to backup make sure to make a copy of that file but if you want to load your old backup that is saved from a different computer just move that wallet under the wallet folder according to your image and copy your old backup and paste it to wallet folder.

Open the Bitcoin core again and it should be loaded.
3723  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk guesses who bitcoin's mysterious creator Satoshi Nakamoto is on: December 30, 2021, 03:30:01 PM
I don't think if Nick Szabo is Satoshi Nakamoto look at the name Satoshi compared to his name and personality. Most people believe that Satoshi is Japanese even wiki that satoshi claimed that he is Japanese so how did he become a Nick Szabo?

I search a bit but many articles said Satoshi Nakamoto is Nick Szabo but he repeatedly denied it. According to Wiki, he is one who designed a mechanism for Bit Gold.
Still, no proof exists that Szabo is Satoshi Nakamoto but there are many people believe that he is Satoshi.
3724  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I am looking for a job on: December 30, 2021, 02:58:18 PM
Why not try your luck on this link https://www.reddit.com/r/Jobs4Bitcoins/

Or try to find a new project posted on altcoin announcement most of them are hiring and looking for a content writer for their new project.
You can also try to make a service thread under this section https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0
And someone will hire you to make content. I just forgot someone before that is looking for a writer for his blog.
3725  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Missing 10 Characters in WIF Private Key - Can I recover them? on: December 30, 2021, 12:29:16 AM
What do you mean "it destroyed part of a WIF private key"?
Is the private key you talking about is on a piece of paper? I think I misunderstood the notebook is it the laptop?

That's too many missing characters actually some tools out there can only recover if the private key has missing 1 up to 5 characters.

However, would you mind to try the tool developed by Coding Enthusiast
Let's hope his tool will work to find the missing character you can find the tool from this thread below

Or go directly on Github https://github.com/Coding-Enthusiast/FinderOuter
3726  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S19 Hashboard 2 and 3 not working on: December 29, 2021, 11:57:45 PM
I'm not so familiar with s19 kernel logs but it seems the kernel logs are not complete?
Can you copy the kernel logs again and paste them to pastebin.com and post the URL here?

I don't see much error or failure from your log have you tried to flash it through SD card flashing?
Since you already tried to flash it through WebGUI then try to flash it with an SD card you can find the guide from this link below

Then test it again if it still doesn't work post the complete kernel logs again here make sure you paste the whole kernel logs or use pastebin.com
3727  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: New Avalon 1166Pro DOA on: December 29, 2021, 11:29:37 PM
Another thing that I noticed from your logs is this part BOOTBY[0x04.00000000]

According to Canaan AM_BOOTBY_WEB = 0x04 Network backstage restart

It might be related to your internet connection or maybe your miner is set to static IP it always causes some IP conflict so try to set it to DHCP mode. Also, take note when adding the pool URL make sure you didn't add space as the first character before the pool URL or even at the end of the URL because it won't connect the pool it might cause you 5 minutes reboot without hashing.
3728  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I know legit and scam investment? on: December 29, 2021, 05:53:27 PM
I think it's not an easy task to know if the new project is a scam or not. If you talking about an investment like Cloud mining then 99% of them are scam I never made any profit even on an investment site before.

If you talking about assets(Coin, token or NFTs etc...) then it's different there are some legit and there are some scam projects. The first thing you need to do is to make a thread here on the forum to discuss if that project is legit or not.
Or do it with your self but it won't be an easy task unless if you have any knowledge about scam projects. So the best option is to make a thread here on the forum.
3729  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Being charged 10% when sending on: December 29, 2021, 04:24:50 PM
The best explanation so far is that there's some kind of bug on the site that requests less BTC than the amount I want to deposit for some weird reason.

How did you know that is a bug?

Have you tried to contact Tigergaming if what platform they use for BTC/USD calculation on withdrawal/depositing?

So that you can use that platform for calculation in the future if you are going to deposit again or withdraw.

Like the above said all platforms like Coingecko, Coinmarketcap, or preev they have different price calculations for Bitcoin.
3730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Trust Wallet or TokenPocket? on: December 29, 2021, 04:03:39 PM
I don't have experience with using TokenPocket but both of them offers Tron staking

However, Trust wallet current APY for Tron is around 4% APY and TokenPocket is around 11%.

I don't know how safe TokenPocket is but it's already a well-known wallet here on the altcoin section. I suggest if you feel safe using TokenPocket then take the 11% offer from them. If not then go with TrustWallet.
3731  Economy / Services / Re: Sales Representatives needed in Korea for a kind of immersion cooling miner on: December 29, 2021, 01:59:09 PM
If you are looking for a sales representative or reseller I think offordscot is what you looking for.

You can try to contact him through his profile here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1449095
Or go to his official thread here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5187550.0

He is one of the marketing sellers here on the forum.
3732  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc ban and fud its also financial market manipulation on: December 29, 2021, 01:48:55 PM
FUD is just a FUD even on the Forex market there are still many FUDs it's already part of the market. They always do it to manipulate the price but it won't affect too much.

About FUD on BTC it's always volatile since before even without FUDs the price is too volatile unlike on the local currencies or any assets from Forex.

That is why pro traders analyze the market that includes news without them they can't analyze what will be the next price movement.
If you know the Bitcoin price history before there is no difference in what happens these days every "after block halving".
3733  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon 841 hashboards problem. on: December 28, 2021, 11:25:39 PM
ZeusBTC doesn't have a guide for this unit and I can't find any hashboard diagram for Avalon 841.

Why not try to compare the two hashboard that you know working and the broken one?

I don't know what exactly this unit hashboard looks like but I think you can follow the tracks on that hashboard and compare the resistance between the good and bad hashboard.
3734  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Help with Antminer S9J Fans issue after replacing 2 new fans on: December 28, 2021, 04:03:35 PM
That's good news if you found the issue.
What exactly connector you are looking for is that the socket one? or the male connector? Look at this image below

You can find that on https://www.zeusbtc.com/ASIC-Miner-Repair/Parts-Tools-Details.asp?ID=1157 but the problem the minimum order is 50
Or might be this one https://www.zeusbtc.com/ASIC-Miner-Repair/Parts-Tools-Details.asp?ID=110

Why not jumper the wire directly to the board?

Check this post below as a reference
Hi , i have ONE solution in hardware but easy to take !

the fan are 4 pin

- Black   =  - 12V
- Red     = + 12V
- Yellow =  Signal Speed
- Blue    = Signal PWM

If you try to disconnect ONLY the blue wire (PWM) the fan is forced to 100% ...

Try it to unlock your miner Wink
3735  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Expresscrypto Help!! on: December 27, 2021, 11:49:20 PM
Does it seem that this website is an old faucethub or a clone?

I don't know if they can resolve this database issue but I think this is an exit scam attempt just like what happened to faucethub before.

Do you have an account there and have funds left?
Let's hope it won't end the same as faucethub.
3736  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best offline portfolio tracker? on: December 27, 2021, 11:36:53 PM
Most of the tools suggested above are online If an offline portfolio tracker is what you looking for I think excel or spreadsheets is only the available tool out there that you can run offline.

Can you check this spreadsheet here https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/n5tvpv/due_to_a_high_number_of_requests_ive_updated_my/
And I think all of them are automated compared to your excel?

You can also find more tracker here "Spreadsheet for Crypto Porfolio" and "Awesome Crypto tracker"
3737  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Chip running hot on Avalon 1166 Pro 81TH on: December 27, 2021, 11:03:58 PM
Out of curiosity, would it be possible to explain what these numbers mean?

In the log description it says "How many calculation fault of each hashboard" and goes on to mention a normal number being smaller than 2/10000.

My numbers are much higher MH[1461 2024 807] HW[4292] DH[2.006%].

Actually, I also read the description logs what are those logs are and I just use them as notes on reading logs. But the logs from ferjacon seems new logs on the first run and get those hardware errors that is why I suspected something bad on the middle board.

Under your API logs, you get higher numbers meaning there is a hardware error the middle hashboard gets more hashboard faults. It could be ASIC chip overheating it's your old issue if your miner right now is running stable and hashing you don't need to be a worry.

If you want to get other meaning of those logs I suggest you check the thread created by HagssFIN you can find it from this link below and learn how to troubleshoot

3738  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Signal Notifications on: December 27, 2021, 04:13:30 PM
If what you want is trading signal notification Binance already has that feature you just need to explore or do what Charles-Tim suggested above.

If you want a more advanced tool then I suggest you check tradingview you need to search for those coins and put them all in your watch list and set the parameter under the chart of each coin with alerts. It works on my phone as an alert I don't know if their web version will work the same but if the signal notification you are looking for is a web version you can try the web version.

Ok, I tried to check and it seems that they also have an alert but it's a popup notification or option to alert through your phone.
3739  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: What are some good open source projects I can get involved in as a beginner? on: December 27, 2021, 03:36:32 PM
It seems that this is posted a few months ago but if you still need a source I know there is a huge source of learning about crypto programming.

You can find them from this link below and go straight under the implementation of blockchain. You can see most of the programming languages and related to creating a blockchain.

I checked both fans and physically they are working, I need to read more about how to do the Brain OS because I have no idea on how to install it LOL.

All guides are already on their documentation just click the link above and get some help there.
Or read the whole guide on how to install braiins OS with an SD card below.
