Love this site, seriously. Actually lost a lot due to some security issue here but I have now changed everything and done 2FA (it was my fault for not doing that 2FA) but I have not once seen good odds on the betting options as compared to bookies so I presume I should be checking the odds here closer to the expiry time.
It's not always a good idea to bet late.
The odds depend on time weigh multiplier. The later you bet, the smaller the time weigh multiplier will be. So, if you bet very late, you will win a smaller share of the prize pool. The person who bets very early can win twice your prize.

But still not bad figures if you can see some great advantage for the team you wish to bet and its better to have something than nothing. Sometimes I do this especially when I see some injured players on the opponent.

I believe many bettors do this since it's really bad to miss something especially if the scheduled play is your favorite team for sure for that reasons you will bet whatever the odds takes.
3722  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Warning: SEC issued a warning against FORSAGE! on: September 09, 2020, 11:46:19 PM

Hello everyone. What telegram channels or chats can you recommend to find developers for the project?

So many scamming and bad actions has been reported in relation with scamming so better to avoid  searching people in telegram since might you will find those fakes ones, and also the best destination for you to find those devs are here and in any big freelancing like fiverr and upwork, for sure by there you will get a excellent guys.
3724  Economy / Economics / Re: PornHub now accepts Bitcoin and Litecoin (News coincides with BTC decline?) on: September 09, 2020, 10:53:15 AM
The permission for payments in Bitcoin and Litecoin has nothing to do with the price of bitcoin because investors are not more interested in a porn site than financial information sites and bank directors' statements.
The price of bitcoin fell due to some investors taking profits and the price dropped was not related to Pornhub.

Somehow you have a point but try to consider the advertisement given for that addition, imagine if millions of users can see that on the option for sure they will be curious to try this and also bitcoin is not new so provably those who have little knowledge about it will try to use that option. And maybe they could discover on how to earn with it if they will research further on how to use bitcoins.

For now we cannot relate to anything but its a good start anyways.

I am seeing this thread from yesterday. But take some time to make a reply here. yes, it obviously the site is well designed and personally I like most the black/dark theme. But I can not understand why I am facing some confusion to trust this site. Maybe it could be changed to positive upon the OP's activity. So, I will suggest to everyone to wait a little bit before using this site.

Yrs no doubt the site's design is dope .
But still we need to test the legitimacy when it comes about our money.
The OP here or in any other social media platforms is not active for a very moment of time, and this is surely hampering the site's growth.
Moreover as i mentioned earlier the KYC thing will also be frowned up by many members in the Gambling world i bet.
Let's see what responses admin/Op come up with.
It should be always when it comes on dealing with new gambling site.We are depositing or risking our money on here thats why hesitance and trusting up cant really be given directly without convincing ourself
that this one is really worth of to be tried.I do like also the color combination but op should really be more active to answer peoples queries on here not just on posting up an ANN thread and leave up the rest for
the community to read. Lottery might not really be that appealing just like what mentioned on earlier page but this might have a chance but they should changed up their activeness
because people would just lose its interest if no one really responds out.

That's the huge mistake of business creator since if they will just rely on peoples curiousity  they will get nothing here people need a corresponding interaction with the developers and a good site to play so if they cannot provide that then expect a failure of business here. They should listen for what people told him here for betterment of player and to build their trust on the platform.
One of best things that should be done since you're running a business here and that do involves invested money so its important that you should really be active and having that openness when it comes to
ideas and criticism because if not then you wont really progress or make your site even more better.Lots of similar websites that do just post up one and leave up all the rest to work.So its no surprise that
they do just been easily forgotten even just on 1 day after they do make an announcement. If they do love to see some possible results then they should at least do their job on how they do handle up
their business properly.

Provably they don't have enough workforce to do the job so better should hire some guys to focus on certain jobs that needed to take care of and what most important thing here is they really need a proper costumer interaction so that people will enjoy and find them reliable. For this case they will really be forgotten and it will be a waste of money for the owner.

If the OP will not come back maybe after a week or two, I don't think this deserves attention from the community.
Because even if users have valuable inputs, I don't think they will address and act those items.
As a new player in this gambling industry, they should know how to build the interest of potential players.
Otherwise, they will just move on to a new gaming site where players are given importance of.

Then that's a total failure for them since no one will trust those site who open a thread and leave it. They are new player in this business so the first thing they need to do is to impressed people with their interaction as well with promotions, but unfortunately many elements has been lacking here so I doubt gamblers will come and play here.

While we think everyone needs motivation, believe me, some are excitingly having their happy time without worry, how? It's now that some her making big profits in their businesses even some wicked governments and officials are just taking this moment as advantage to syphon funds raised to help the infected citizens and almost does not want this pandemic to end. In advantage of their own bellies.

Because some of the people take the opportunity while people are being locked at home  some other creating a business like food delivering and other services they can offer to the people, I see so many of this in my country and online selling is booming here since many people are earning good profits in this innovative business.

Everyone needs inspiration in COVID-19 but many people are spending their days in despair after losing everything today after many decades the whole human race is facing a serious crisis. Non-aligned movements at this time can help build unity around the world. Most of the time, the countries belonging to this non-aligned movement have presented moral positions on various issues in the world now we need to focus on human welfare not just financial development. India has long had success in financial matters as well as human welfare and everyone needs to move forward with positive thinking.

If you are in their side I'm sure you will act the same, Imagine this.

You lost your job
Your money is running out
You cannot provide food to your family
You cannot find a work since all  establishment are close due to lockdown.

For sure for this reason you will get depress since you don't know on when this pandemic ends and its really hard especially if you are the breadwinner of the family.

3730  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reminder Everyone: If You Don't Have The Keys, Then It's Not Your Crypto on: September 07, 2020, 01:27:51 PM
Hi gentlemen of this beloveth forum, I wanna remind you guys to try as much as possible to never leave your bitcoins or any other crypto on an exchange except you are ready to loose them.

I just lost 78.82 usd worth of bitcoins I left on one of our local exchangers here, the exchange was not hacked, nothing happened, i just logged in this morning to discover that my bitcoin are no where to be found, I quickly navigated to the withdrawal history section to see if my account have been hacked and the hacker withdrew it, but surprisingly, there was no new withdrawal history except for the ones I've previously made which the last one was about 3 weeks ago, my bitcoins disappeared just like that.

I thought of withdrawing this coin a day before but decided not to bcus I knew I will be using them soon, so to avoid paying a withdrawal fee and in 2 or 3 days time, pay transaction fee to deposit them again, i decided to leave them there, now they are gone and i cant even trace where or how they went out.

I contacted support and they claim they are investigating the issue but whatever the result turns out to be, i dont have any hope of ever seeing my 78.82 usd in bitcoin again, bcus I think they know the worst am gonna do is stop using their exchange and as well discourage people around me from ever using them.

So the point of this message/post is if you value your coins, always keep them in a wallet you have the keys.

Best to provide the name of the exchange you are using since people are so curious about this case and want to avoid the site since you are compromised by using it as you said. But also try to wait for their investigation since there are so many factors possibly happens and the developers can answer you if they are done with it. For now best to wait and also always activate your 2FA,set-up a strong password and don't install any unfamiliar links to avoid being hacked.
3731  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Casino & Sportsbook - Lamborghini Giveaway! 🚀 🎰 🏀 ⚾ 🏈 🎾 🥊 🎲 on: September 07, 2020, 09:15:50 AM
there is really no foul play, if you do not trust them just continue with stake games however I am also afraid that now that it is so easy for stake to have others games, will they add more games of their own with their beloved provably fair?
This is pretty obvious. 3rd party game additions don't degrade the site in any manner, but they make you lose money faster due to a higher edge and it is difficult to verify how fair they really are which is why they are basically optional.

The core strength of Stake is their in-house games and they will probably continue adding more of these time based on gambler demand. The 3rd party additions don't necessarily mean that they won't add any more in-house games in the future.

This is really simple to think if we don't want those 3rd party addition then don't play there but if we are curious spend a small amount and If people cannot trust them stay on stake since by here we have assurance that it will not scam us since they have a long time reputation that needed to take care of. But provably stake will think about adding more games in future if they will see a huge demands based on users suggestions.
3732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Downfall of dia data (DeFi) on: September 07, 2020, 08:12:59 AM
Don't know what is happening at this moment. Most of defi project lost their value incredibly. Especially for dia data, the recently successful defi token, launched IEO a months ago. Then it was start increasing incredibly, ATH around at $5.13  Sep 02, 2020 (3 days ago) but its only $2.09 today Sep 05, 2020. Just decrease more than half of its value within 48hours when it added binance exchange mainwhile
Isnt these things still surprising? Whenever a project do rose up its price into a unbelievable manner then expect that it would be likely to go down into the same manner.
Just like into those good ICO days where everything is hyping and now we do have this DeFi and it would really be just on the same manner. Project can shoot up its price
and when you do get yourself into a Fomo then expect you would really be ending up on holding a shitty token or project.
This doesnt only imply on DIA but all of DeFi project would go into the same path.

The name has just change but it has the same characteristic so I believe this DeFi thing will be the new ICO and so far this is been newly used by scammers so we shouldn't let ourselves to get hype as you said since they will totally messed up in the long run. And I'm not buying those new things since I'd rather trade the old coins than engaging with those new around.
3733  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is here to stay on: September 06, 2020, 01:53:34 PM
This is a mistake.

For bitcoin is not a currency; it is not money—it is a speculative hedge, an investment, a form of trading, and, quite possibly, the great white whale of finance.

Possibly—but only possibly.

The temptation to talk about bitcoin as the sole product of its inventor’s brilliance has grown during the crypto bubble because, as we know from the history of equity markets and from history as a whole, perception is all. And with a product as new as bitcoin, the halo effect is just enormous.

People talk about bitcoin because they can. After all, even if it has a host of technical limitations and flaws, it is not as boring as the existing consumer-facing products from the payment sector. And bitcoin is not as easy to move money as, say, the ability to convert cash to gold or fiat currency (the dollar, yen, pound, euro). But it’s a hedge, or an investment, or a speculative play, or a currency trading instrument, and those are all ways of getting one to your place of business, or to the point of travel, or to a lender. And, hence, it’s all there in one place, in crypto.

And, especially as I indicated here, it is far easier to talk about bitcoin than to talk about gold, and perhaps even to get people to look at fiat currencies. In that sense, bitcoin is both a new form of money and a solution to the demand for money among an otherwise invisible set of people.

Although bitcoin is a speculative play, I also think its rise tells us something very much larger about how our financial systems work—even if we haven’t come to terms with those larger forces.

Bitcoin is hardly the first effort to create some sort of secure virtual currency that was supposed to replace the US dollar, or a basket of other currencies, or whatever. But here is my problem: I don’t understand how money is supposed to be created. The same people who worry about the lack of transparency in many virtual currencies are of the same people who do not fully understand how accounting works, yet they throw around nearly impossible-to-review theories as if they were all knowable as gospel.

https://www.truepnl.com/

This is unarguably true. Bitcoin is here and will be here forever. Bitcoin is the first digital currency, although many people do not see it as one, and will continue to be adopted.
For now, the adoption of bitcoin might be very slow because a lot of people do not trust a currency they can not hold. I do believe that with time, these people will get to discover the numerous advantages of bitcoin and hence adopt it.
I do believe that bitcoin is here and is here to stay. Nothing, not even bearish trends or scams related to crypto can stop that.

Bitcoin will really stay due to the fact that people are seeing some great opportunities here compare to the other traditional platforms where people can earn low percentage only.

And I'm not surprise with the slow adoption since somehow many bad incident that creates fear to the merchants and new investors to come here as well the educational teaching on mainstream media is so lacking and sometimes they mislead the news about bitcoin so expect that we will encounter a struggle in terms if fast adoption.
3734  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: All your entertainment things must have an external limiting feature, agree? on: September 06, 2020, 11:38:38 AM
Limit feature is really a good idea but may not still be the way to control addiction in gambling in fact, it might cause other negative actions like cheating or go to another casino house after the first one which will make you a casino hopper and begin to be addicted to it. Limiting features may probably have advantages like profit will be distributed to casino houses even online casinos for players may hop from one casino to another every time that a player reached their limit time.

Ain't really in favor of this for we should always know in ourselves when to start and when to stop it but probably it is difficult for everyone. But that is the only and effective way for us not to get addicted to gambling

You cannot force the limiting feature in gambling as there are workarounds as you mentioned to bypass those limits. One has to first admit that these limits are beneficial for the gamblers and are in place to avoid big money loses. If gamblers understand this, they will always follow these limits.

Same point as mine. Honestly, it's just a simple logic and self-realization, we don't need this limiting feature if only people know how to limit themselves in the first place, but it's the other way around. So the idea what OP has is somewhat like a theory to lessen gambling addicts. Gambling sites could push this and try it and remove it if it's effect is not good for both of them (players and gambling site itself) simple as that.

What would happen is basically just a trial and error.

I agree since remember gambling is a total business the owners want their players to wager more so that they can earn more profits on their business and I really don't think there's a site will implement this since it could lessen up their potential profits if there's something like this will exist.

And also you are right we are the one who's responsible to control ourselves since if we have discipline we don't need those features and I really think even if that one exist for sure addicted gamblers will find ways to gamble more.
3735  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Let's build Dex? on: September 06, 2020, 10:10:54 AM
Hey guys,

I have been in the crypto space for over 4 years and have helped several crypto exchanges with digital marketing and SEO (I am one of the best in the business).

I am fascinated by the opportunities DeFi brings to the crypto space and at the moment putting together a team with likeminded individuals to build a Dex.

So, if there is anyone who would be interested to build a Dex project, tell me about yourself, and let's see if we can find a way to make it happen?

Might be a long-shot but worth a try  Wink

Let's make it happen  Cool

If your such an expert why are you using a throw away account?

Looking for business partners like this using an alias is a sure sign of a scammer.

I was about to post this but you beat me on this, 4 years and you do not have an old account here where have you been all this time and how did you helped those projects that you are bragging, if you are one of the best in the business then show it, this should be the first to come out, proof before boasting.

I meet several people for the past years doesn't have an account here in bitcointalk but surprisingly they are been in cryptocurrency for quite long years so I think having an account is not necessary since experience is really needed. I'm also looking for the proof regarding on his claims since the word "the best in the business" makes sounds weird since mostly the scammers are using that kind of word to boost theirselves here.

I havent been active in the chat. Could you please elloborate, which scam?

That's just a newbie made the account for trolling. If he have been scammed, he could have made a much detailed post with proper evidences.
No information on how much he lost and how ?

This is not new thing since there are so many people creating new account and posting some negative content just to destroy the reputation of some sites here, but I never believe those one especially if they cannot provide a solid proof on their accusation and also I don't trust those claims came from new accounts created so best for him to provide the important details and people will decide if he's legit or another troll wandering here.
3737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Problem Gambling in the wake of covid-19 on: September 04, 2020, 11:38:51 PM
Honestly, I doubt people would use that questionnaire.

Based on experience and what I noticed on some, addicted gamblers are close minded, they can't realize they are already in that stage so it's best if they have some people to help them realize like people around them,

Correct addicted gamblers won't listen to any advice since the one they care at the moment is to play and have fun, I sure majority experience this and mostly the addiction stage came when the time we place our first bet, this situation made us bet more since its really exciting and the feeling is different.

And I also doubt people will doubt since there are different types of scenarios on why addicted gamblers stops or managed to control their addiction.

3739  Other / Off-topic / Re: It's time to destroy China, don't buy anything from them ,don't deal with them on: September 03, 2020, 02:26:08 PM
China is truly the world's factory. They have a large population and a cheap, skilled workforce. Items from China are found almost all over the world and prices are very competitive. We cannot easily change people's consumption habits. Countries need to have local businesses that have good products and compete with Chinese products.
The boycott of Chinese goods cannot be done quickly but requires a lot of effort from the people and the government.
Some government will not proclaim something like these as it will result for a bigger problem but as we need the economy to survive it is announce already that we should support first as much as possible buying products already in our country, what we can all do Is as individuals to support what is locally made.  Support local and buy products from locals. It is helping the economy and our countrymen during these Pandemic.
Exactly, it is impossible to call on people to boycott Chinese goods because it has long-term political and economic consequences. Encouraging people to use domestic goods and supporting businesses are also ways that countries are doing to reduce the share of Chinese goods. South Korea and Japan are two countries that have come up with their domestic promotion.

Also chinese products gives convenience to the people in their daily life so the people would really take a hardtime to boycott any product came from china,  but if the two country you mention will released a massive product the same on what china did for sure it will affect the dominance of china and might people will have an option not to use anything related to China.

I have seen this, especially in social media that some influencers are not really helping people and their viewers. They are just there to promote to encourage more to join them. They exists as promoter so basically , we have to be careful not to become a victim of this kind of people. It's our still responsibility to do some always research before buying some bags of crypto.
Influencer is the most disgusting thing in the internet, they are just narcissist that has no marketable skill and that is why they capitalize on getting followers which make them entitled to things as if they deserve it. In regards to bitcoin influencers, do not listen like a fanatic to every word they say, every thing they say is to market their product or someone's product. Think for yourselves and do not be drowned by going with the flow, remember that only dead fishes go with the flow.

Unfortunately that is the real score between this discussion since I don't see any influencers especially on crypto gives a honest reviews regarding on somethin, they are just aftering the money they can get for marketing some products as you said that they advertise. And it's really better not to listen to them and don't became a fan kid since they will not care nor refund us if we get scam.

And nowadays there are so many scams has been advertise by the influencer and those one doesn't really help in terms of marketing the bitcoin and cryptocurrency since if bad times will came it can create a bad impression to those victims and the one who they talk about their experiences.
