XRP may be a good choice in the short run given the fact that there is significant institutional use for it already, and the fact that it has a large market cap which means that the downside risks are relatively little compared to what you'd see with other coins.
However, honestly, it's not the best long term bet.
The best long term bet imo is still ETH, because it is more decentralized than XRP and has a lot of ICOs hosted on it.
XRP and ETH are still good for either a long-term or short-term investment. But believe me or not we can't expect XRP could give more profits as what we want to happen to know the fact that it is been controlled by somebody. Cause for me, I'll keep more on Bitcoin rather than to choose any altcoins. I know it was a risk putting all eggs in one basket but I feel confident and safe with Bitcoin. |

Whales is more active in targeting the derivatives market and it is not uncommon to eat traders who are not very ready with their capital strategy. Just to clarify, knowing a coin's history you wanted to trade with doesn't always matter since it'll be your just basis regarding on its playes' behavior. Bitcoin price is determined by the few whales who happened to hold since the early days. If they want they can pump BTC to 1M $ and if they want they can dump BTC to 100$.
Doesnt matter who you are, A BTC holder or a daily trader, whales control BTC price.
What I mean by whale? The person who have more than million Bitcoin.
Bitcoin technology is great but Market is compeletly different story.
We know how whales influence the market price, they'd play it oftentimes and that is why we could say it manipulation. It sounds like that but living with my trust towards Bitcoin's decentralized form, they never controlled everything in here. katulad rin sa atin, kahit gaano ka secure ang account natin, meron pang 2FA eh meron talagang butas na makikita itong mga scammers na nagbibigay daan para mahack ang account natin. Kaya mas maganda kung iiwasan natin ang pagiibak ng coin/crypto's sa mga online wallet.
