3721  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Jamaine Ortiz - October 29 on: September 18, 2022, 12:59:02 PM
^^ Loma has already proven that even if he is out for sometime his mentality and skills are still the same. When he had that shoulder injury he had operated, and for a year he doesn't have a fight because he needs to recuperate. And then when he comes back, he didn't choose any easier fight, it was against Nakatani who gave Lopez his biggest test before he beat Loma. and then he followed it up with a destruction of former champion Richard Commey. So we should expect the same if not the best version of Loma in this fight, as he is about to hit his peak performance at his age right now. I'm not seeing any ring rust that will put him in danger in this fight.

That's why he has a lot of fans because he does not choose his opponent, he is ready to fight anyone, including Lopez who beats him once. I believe winning this fight is not gonna be hard for him, the hardest will be his upcoming match with Haney if that plan will be realize.

Emotionally, this could be hard for Loma, we've known him for fighting in his native land and that's why the initial schedule of him fighting Kambosos didn't happen. But after that, his people push him to make a comeback, just like what Usyk did winning against AJ in a tough battle.

But I'm not seeing Loma getting into trouble in this fight. This is not his fight time to make a comeback, maybe there could be ring rust, but he can shake it right away and then be back at the old Loma that we know.
3722  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you being secretive about your gambling activity? on: September 18, 2022, 12:43:44 PM
Are you hiding your gambling activity from your loved ones, family or so?
Or are you being 100% open about gambling?

 Huh

At least to our kids, I don't want them to see or know that when we go out at night, we did go to land base casino's and play. It's because we don't want them to think that their parents have this bad habits, so before we go, we make sure that they are sleeping already or at least they don't have any idea where we are going at night. It's not that we also do that, maybe just once or twice a month, me and my wife go to traditional base casino's and have some fun and that it. For my extended family? doesn't matter if they know or not.
3723  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casinos vs money laundering. on: September 18, 2022, 06:35:04 AM
I came across an incident in which two persons who used the stolen funds on gambling to make it their winning amount. Online rummy is quite popular in my country and in one incident two persons have stolen a big amount and to make this money legal they've made a good plan. Both played one on one game and the losers amount moved to the winner. Here both are winners, finally they got caught. So, in all possible ways people do laundering. It is not limited to just casino platforms.

Those two are very smart to stole money, but dumb when they try to launder it through gambling platforms. While their plan is really good, perhaps they failed to realized that they might be caught with this style because I would say that this is a common thing that criminals do to launder money.

So I guess the gambling industry is also evolving, not just KYC, maybe they have human and then AI to detect any suspicious activities in their platform so that they be one step ahead, controls is the key for them not to be taken advantage and so mitigate the attractiveness of online gambling platforms for money launderers
3724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Choices: Gamble or Help the poor ? on: September 18, 2022, 06:16:11 AM
Suppose that you are a responsible gambler who have allocated a certain portion of money to gamble each month. Now you came across a poor person/family who is in urgent need of money. Will you quit the gambling for that month and give the allocated money to the poor family or will you prefer to gamble as you can't live without gambling ?

This is kinda tricky to begin with, it's about the question of morals here, trying to help someone vs you enjoying the money for your oneself.

So I guess for their is no right or wrong answer, really depends on the individual. If he/she thinks that it is worth to help those poor family then so be it, do what you think is the best for you.

And then maybe if you still have some money, then continue to gamble. Or there could be individual not willing to help, not because they don't want to, but for them they also have problems and they don't reach to others specially if it involves money.
3725  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: September 18, 2022, 05:58:34 AM
I am watching the fight, as well as following Sporting News and CBS Sports for unofficial scorecards. The score so far is:

CBS Sports: 99-91 Canelo (Canelo won 9 out of 10 rounds)
Sporting News: 96-94 Canelo (Canelo won 6 out of 10 rounds).

https://www.cbssports.com/boxing/news/canelo-alvarez-vs-gennadiy-golovkin-3-fight-results-live-boxing-updates-scorecard-start-time-undercard/live/
https://www.sportingnews.com/us/boxing/news/canelo-alvarez-vs-gennadiy-golovkin-3-live-fight-updates-results-highlights/sdec6pobpwornrm7mxahujsl

Golovkin making strong comeback from rounds 6-7, but it looks as if that is not enough. Canelo is the clear winner of this fight, by a good distance.

Canelo won but not with a good distance as two judges scored it 115-113 so there could be a draw if GGG won one more round which could spark controversy again. I've watched the fight and I think GGG has lost 9 rounds. If only he fought his fight in the early rounds the outcome could have been different but as they said, he was fighting as an old man, he may be gassed out if threw punches early and got knockout on the championship rounds.

So for me, this is the end of this match as clearly GGG is aging and depriving the fans of his true fighting style.

I also don't see GGG winning the fight even if he won another 2 rounds. It was very clear from the beginning that GGG has lost the speed already. It's so glaring if we are going to compare it with their second fight like 4 years ago. He said he still has it, but I doubt it. And there were moments in the fight wherein he looks like getting hurt by Canelo, he was stop on his tracks and then regroup again. Round 9 was great though, the bes round in this fight and I would give that to GGG. But the rest, it was a clear and dominant win by Canelo so yeah, probably 9 rounds for him, and 3 for GGG.
3726  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Legit na trading site on: September 18, 2022, 05:33:10 AM
Legit ba sila?

I wouldn't put my money on those trading signals, kahit pa free pa yan.

3727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: September 17, 2022, 11:49:36 PM
Zurdo is also motivated by the thought of avenging his fellow countryman Canelo.

Not true. There's no way Zurdo has a thought to avenge Canelo from Bivol. I don't see how he will do that as he has his own legacy.

Zurdo was even disappointed with Canelo as the latter is not giving him a chance to fight him because Canelo doesn't want to fight his fellow countryman.

And for Mexicans, there's no avenging thing or stuff. During the time their boxers are beaten badly by Manny Pacquiao, those Mexicans are fighting to have a big achievement by defeating Manny, not to avenge their fellowman that got beaten by Manny.

Fight for the money that's the thing. Manny Pacquiao was once the biggest draw in boxing and whoever he fights will have the chance to earn the biggest purse of his career and the same with Canelo and if ever you got the chance to beat these superstars in boxing it will boost your stocks just like Jeff Horn when he defeated Manny and Bivol when he defeated Canelo.

Right, all roads lead to Canelo now, that's why everyone wanted to fight him and win in the lottery. And you will see that those previous opponents says that they are going to beat Canelo but the opposite happened. And we might say that they completely take a dive, just to check that paycheck hehehe.

If Canelo will win tonight's fight, that would be an added motivation for Bivol since he knows that he could earn more during the rematch with Canelo.

Bivol will double his money if he fights Canelo again because he already beat him. But for sure he is going to watch this fight and see if there is that much difference in Canelo when he last fought him.

3728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Haney vs Kambosos II (Undisputed) on: September 17, 2022, 11:30:11 PM
^^ Yes, that's one of his biggest mistakes, he didn't let his hands go specially in the early rounds. And it's too late, maybe round 7 when he started to chase Devin, but Haney is already in the zone and comfortable, using his length so that George can't go inside. So if Kambosos will start hot like in the Lopez fight and swarm Haney, then he might have a chance to win. Otherwise, another easy fight for Haney, cruising automatic for a 12 round decision again and a place for a Loma fight next year.
This seems like the only chance that Kambosos has of trying to turn the fight on his favor, if he let Haney to get into the rhythm that he likes then he'll be in complete control of the fight and get an easy win, so he needs to get out there and try to get the win from the moment the bell sounds, now even with that kind of strategy getting the win will not be easy, but at least it will have a small chance to do so while at the same fans he will give the fans what they want.

Yes, one strategy that they might used in this fight and as I had said, Kambosos was successful doing that against Lopez in their fight, even knocking him down. And when Lopez try to rally late, George has build enough lead already. On the contrary, it was a opposite fight plan for him, he was slow and he started to attack in round 7. Maybe Haney's style is too difficult for him, or he really let Devin get comfortable. And even if this is a small chance as we see, at least he will have to try and do it. Instead of looking for a one punch knock out, which might not happen. So he needs to bring the fight to Haney, not that other way around.
3729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 17, 2022, 11:15:13 PM
Dennis was part of those players that haven't got a contract, and he is just lucky that the Lakers have signed him up again and definitely, he still wanted to play in the NBA so he accept it although he could have been more than that a year or two ago.

And this is another lesson for those players that if they have been offered a good contract, no need to price themselves up because it might bite them in the ass.

Might be interesting though to see him with Westbrook on the floor or even Pat Beverly, not sure if there will be chemistry issues or not.
I'd choose another agent if I were him.
He is called a veteran in every article that I read. Schroder is just 29 years old.  Cheesy

Why would they accept this kind of contract while Eurobasket is not even over yet and they will be trying for the Bronze medal?
If they win it, there's a chance his value could increase more and his agent didn't even wait for that moment. I think they just waited if they could win against Spain and if they do they will try to increase his value. That's some stupid decision.
Obviously, the Lakers do want him because he is a good player but I am sad they accepted a cheap price.

Probably it was the Lakers that call him as no other teams are, and so his agent decided to accept that kind of money and play with no other than the Lakers again. hehehe.

And Dennis will have to accept it, maybe he doesn't want to play in China or any other league but NBA. I guess his value is really going down since the last year when he turn down the contract from the Lakers, play with Boston and then send to Houston and that's it, no one is interested on him until the Lakers comes knocking on his door again.
3730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 17, 2022, 10:59:08 PM
That's why I believed he can still fight anyone, but would rather test exhibition matches first. The money is there for sure as he still has a lot of boxing fans around the world, not just Filipinos that for sure will watch his fight against the South Korean youtuber.
He can still fight but having that thought of doing other priorities will make him less than with the best that he can. Manny can still make a lot of money with his fame and body through his age but I agree just for these showmatches and not with pro anymore.

And what if the crazy mind of the Paul brothers would come to that point that any of them would invite Manny to a showmatch and sure, it will make him a lot of money to be honest. More than probably the usual amount he's getting from his pro matches.

For sure, maybe the Paul brothers are just waiting for Manny to make a comeback and then invite them to a fight. But not sure about the weight though, in any case we will have to see.

Regarding Manny's focus, I do believed that he is focus on his fight with Spence that time and there was no distraction on his political side. He even asked the grace of Senate that he will take a leave of absence so that he can concentrate and bring glory to the Philippines again by fight Spence. But we all know what happened next, it was Ugas who beat him next and then he decided to retire.

Ethereum Merge Is Done and considered successful, Do you think Ethereum has the solution Bitcoin needs and is this proof of ETH Next Of BTC after normal market?

How can you say that the Ethereum Merge is already successful? Yes, the transition was smooth but there's no way that we say it was successful in terms of what?

Besides, Ethereum has a head in Vitalik, that's why they can make their decision right away to move from one algo to another.

Bitcoin is more secure because of POW, you can't even hack or do a 51% attack on it. The only time that we might see some upgrade on bitcoin is that if Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm or ECDSA has been broken by Quantum computers.
3732  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bear Market thread on: September 17, 2022, 10:25:57 PM

Yes, most likely bear market parin tayo this year, katulad na katulad ng nangyari nung 2018.
3733  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: September 17, 2022, 11:43:10 AM
His power is underrated though, it has sting, it's that Canelo has a tougher chin. So what he do is throw a lot of punch, in bunch and volume to confused Canelo. And so he might stay with the same strategy and see how it will do damage to Ramirez, total accumulation of punches.

I'm inclined to say the same way for Ramirez too, his power is also underrated and his knockout rate is much higher than Bivol. Don't get me wrong because I'm not siding with Ramirez but we can't be underestimating him just because Bivol managed to dominate Canelo and gave some struggles to other boxers who are much taller than him. And as for strategy, Zurdo's camp is surely watching Bivol's recent matches to make a game plan on how to outbox the current WBA champion by speed or by volume.

We also have to look at their opposition, that opponents that they have face before and the boxers that they have knockout. Maybe Zurdo opponents is easily be knock out or that Bivol's faces tougher opponent like Canelo, he didn't knock him out but he should good ring IQ and volume punching.

So we can't just look at the records, although it is a good number to look, but it's not the end of it all.

Yes, I don't think there is that narrative behind Zurdo. On the contrary, Canelo says he doesn't want to fight him, but Zurdo says he is looking to fight Canelo even though they are both Mexicans.
3734  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will satoshi come back and give his 1 million btc to users of this forum if BTC on: September 17, 2022, 11:12:33 AM
if BTC is no longer valuable and becomes like token?

Then the whole crypto market will collapse.

I have heard that he mined 1 million btc and was hoping that BTC would have converted the entire financial system in 10 years.
IF his project fails what would he do with those coins?

I also heard a lot of things about him, maybe more than 1 million BTC. But the thing is, we can't proved it. We even don't know if Satoshi is just one person or a group of individuals.

Again, everything will worth nothing if BTC fails. (And it's too big to fall, btw).
3735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: September 17, 2022, 10:36:31 AM

Golovkin's current build is awesome. Is he really an aging boxer @ 40 years old? We can say that he is in good shape and no signs that he undergo heavy and intense training. I'm amazed at the disciplined in taking care of his body.

If no one knows about the real age of GGG, he can be mistakenly looked at as having the same age as Canelo.

But it's just his physical appearance. The real strength will be seen in the actual fight. Just around 17 hours to go of waiting and the event will now take place.

He's always in good condition always prepared and I think more prepared than the first two fights that he's been against Canelo he is so calm and so relaxed during their faceoff, I thought Canelo is trying to bully him but GGG doesn't care on his rival antics, I've watched the interview and he is relaxed and enjoy every moment of it, I feel that he who knows what's he's going to do this time against Canelo because he already studied how Bivol beats Canelo, his team has taken that fight to exploit Canelo's weaknesses and bad moves.

That's how high level athlete is, they've taken care of themselves and so even at age 40, you can see that he looks to be in his prime and I do agree that maybe the added weight could make a big differences in this fight like GGG has better absorption of power punches coming from Canelo.

Have already pulled the trigger and i hope would right this time.

Same here, but I'm using a different platform now, It will be a war, and I don't see Canelo winning by knockout as prediction by former boxers. GGG's chin is still solid and again he is heavier and even could hydrate to Light heavyweight limit fight night.

They aren't doing it. Instead of focusing on the league to make it better, they are focusing on the 2 companies only. The competitiveness of the league is decreasing gradually because of these 2 companies and those independent teams are becoming milking teams. I will not be surprised if 5-10 years from now, 1 or 2 of these independent teams will sell their franchises to other companies.

I wonder if they don't notice the unpolishments and the incompetence of their league but I hope that they will still do something to fix their lapses and not just focus on earning money. Yes, it's business but I hope that they could still bring back the essence of this sport. PBA is starting to look more like a business than sports these past few seasons. It's getting unfair to teams and players but I wish that they would not sell their franchises despite what's happening.

I think it's very evident and so they have noticed it, but they can't do anything about it because the league is no longer that competitive unlike before. As you have said, it's turning out to be more of a business now, unlike before wherein players and team owners take it personally if I may put it that way. But now, it has change, only 2 teams are competing and they got the best players in the league because they have the money to offer.

"The Los Angeles Lakers added depth at point guard on Friday by signing veteran Dennis Schroder to a one-year, $2.64 million deal, according to The Athletic and Stadium's Shams Charania."
https://syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/10049221-lakers-updated-roster-rotation-after-reported-dennis-schroder-contract.amp.html

Looks like the Lakers are into Guards these days and it was stated in this report that even if they add more role players, that wouldn't mean much if their main players will not be healthy like James and Davis. Schroder's performance in the Eurobasket and last season with the Rockets was spectacular and I think signing him is a good addition to take Westbrook's lapses in the backcourt, they got PatBev too that may help the defensive end.

I don’t think they would have picked up Dennis and Pat if they were keeping Russ. This news along with Westbrook putting his house up for sale makes me think that a deal is already in place and now they’re just working out the details. Since Westbrook is already privy to this information I would assume it involves some sort of buyout or sign and trade. I think we’ll find out in the next 2 weeks what the real story is.
Pretty sure the selling of the house already says the news. The Lakers are moving on and Westbrook will be on another team when the season begins. I'm sure whomever is thinking about taking him will be looking to utilize him as a bench player.
Yeah, but there are no leaks yet about what team is willing to pay on a large amount of contract Westbrook has.
A buyout is the only option that I see because if ever there is a meeting that happens I am sure the media will sniff the details.
Schroder, Pat, WB. Man, I cannot even imagine how they can build chemistry with those three players.

I am sad about how much money Schroder is getting now after turning down a good contract on the same team he signed now after the bubble.
From $84 million 4 years contract to 2.64M. Way too far.

Dennis was part of those players that haven't got a contract, and he is just lucky that the Lakers have signed him up again and definitely, he still wanted to play in the NBA so he accept it although he could have been more than that a year or two ago.

Kaya ayun Binance tapos p2p Gcash, smooth hehehehe.
Yun!

3739  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 23 on: September 16, 2022, 11:31:05 PM
^ how can one could not see the difference of the two by just looking at the odds. Shakur def has the edge of Rob.

Rob is sure gonna be robbed. isn't this irresponsible for wbo and wbc to match robson who lost against valdez and then match to someone who beats valdez?  shakur could fight a p4p and win by KO. robson is not ranked on p4p list.

Robson is ranked number 2 by WBC and WBO, so I don't think it's irresponsible for them to match the champion of their belt at this weight division, against their second best.

And if you have watch the fight between Robson Conceicao vs Oscar Valdez, it was very close, others might have scored it on favor of Robson. But the rest is history, Shakur defeated Valdez and the he is trying to clean up both divisions by fighting the second best rank boxer.

Yup, there are indeed some people who are saying that Robson might have won that fight and base on the judge's score, the gap wasn't far enough to say that Valdez has won dominantly. Although, I've read too that people aren't happy why they are letting Robson face Shakur when in fact Robson lost to Valdez already.

Perhaps that is the sticking point of this match, to see how Robson will fare against Shakur because he almost beat Valdez in their fight. Robson had the numbers but the judges think he didn't do enough to get a nod and win that fight.

Anyway, this is the best chance for Shakur to prove again why he won against Valdez while Robson struggled to do so. As said above, Shakur is having a clean up program.

Or best way for Robson to show us his talent that he can hang with the best version of Shakur. And in the future, if Shakur decided to move up in wight, Robson might have a clear path to fight for the vacant belt.

And on the other hand, if Shakur wins in dominant fashion, as he had said, he is having a hard time making 130 and so he might go up to 135 lbs and face his main target, Tank Davis.

Here are the official weigh-in:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QVHU44zuj48

Move forward to 4:48, GGG looks huge at 168 lbs hehehe.

GGG - 167.8
Canelo - 167.4 pounds

So let's see if GGG moving to super middleweight and with that added extra pounds will make him perform much better in this fight. Again, it's the debate about GGG age vs Canelo prime years, gonna be a good match for sure.
