I sent over 60k bbp to southxchange.com to my bbp wallet and it has 31 confirmations and nothing has arrived and I don't see the tx in the bbp explorer. Is there something I did wrong?
Hi Estep,

Ensure you are on 1086+ first, (if you sent it from an old version it could have been sent on a fork, but thats OK you can recover those coins),
then erase your blocks and chainstate file in (%appdata%\biblepaycore) then resync (do this after upgrading to 1089), then if your balance is back in the wallet, re-send the coins to southxchange.

If your balance is still gone, paste the txid here (find that by double clicking the transaction in the txlist, and copying it and pasting it here).

For anyone who wants to trace his/her transaction, go to a *different* machine that is not the same one you sent it from and type:
getrawtransaction txid 1
If the info comes up, that means that txid is in our chain and therefore made it.  At that point you would have to ask southxchange whats up with that particular TXID.

post here your tx number

basic of all transactions on all coins to exchanges/friends/MN/etc is send only 1-5 BBP for test

carve into stone

ROB when we planning jump to PODC?  thanks

As early as March 15th if all goes well in Testnet.  I have a major testnet release coming today so everyone please upgrade in a few hours in testnet.

The basic rule is we give CCEX 2 weeks leadtime.  So if we can wrap up a high quality level of testing early March we can tell them relatively early to take us down.

Nice summary of Damascus:

http://www.apocalypsesoon.org/xfile-9.html

If you take a look at the latest pictures of Damascus:
http://www.independent.co.uk/topic/Damascus

You should seriously consider Isaiah 17 is being fulfilled.  Then after Damascus is leveled, we move on to Ezekiel 38...  Turkey and Iran attack Israel.  I think the reason the US will be unable to help Israel is Russia will most likely nuke us right before the event.  (Why do I say that) I say that because the proxy war in Syria is basically Russia backing Turkey and the US backing the Kurds and we are ticking each other off, and its escalating.  This would be a perfect fulfillment of Ezekiel 38.

I am trying to send 20k BBP to someone and it won’t let me. A message pops up from biblepay core saying transaction too large but I have 21k BBP in wallet. Anyone know how to fix this?

Hmmm you could try sending smaller amounts to your friend? like 4 sends of 5k each, etc

Did you use coin mixing? Or have a ton of really small transactions?
theres a certain kilobyte limit on combining a bunch of separate coins together

I have already tried sending over smaller amount like 1k & 5k, still get the same message. I have closed out the wallet and reopened with no success. I have not click on coin mixing, not sure what that does, but I did get a lot of small transaction coins sent to me via the faucet this month. Would coinmixing help solve this?

First just ensure instantsend and private send arent checked, then try sending yourself 1000 bbp a few times, then resend the transaction.

To see the advanced reason for this, you have to enable coin control, go to send money, click coin control, ask someone here about going in and deselecting all the small inputs and spending it back to yourself first, or selecting a lot of small inputs and spending it to yourself first.

Here is an interesting whitepaper that gives insight into what exactly Rosetta Protein modeling suite is doing:

https://pubs.acs.org/doi/pdf/10.1021/bi902153g

So far I make the broad assumption that Rosettas folding suite is superior to Stanfords, for one, because Rosettas performs more complicated calculations and only runs on a PC, requiring more memory per function.  Stanfords runs in a GPU because the calculations are simpler and less memory intensive.  Before I say anything more, we need to look at a list of achievements between Stanford and Rosetta.

But either way Im happy for the time being the Rosetta version will not run in a GPU as it gives us a level playing field for PC based performance, and is aligned 100% with what our initial vision was: using the dormant existing PC base for an all in one solution and not promoting an arms race (in mining) requiring more expensive equipment for an average user to compete.

2 Spots left in shared MN 155k bbp each, pm me. revenue is 9.9% 0.1% for hosting fee, paid weekly.

Rob, pool is on 99% load.
Miners disappearing

yep, all my miners are gone from the pool, and judging by the leaderboard I'm not the only one^^. What I don't understand is: why on earth do almost all pool users lose their miners except for capulo, demonko and some others who are still going at full sails? Seems really strange to me...

There were a couple SQL deadlocks, so I raised the SQL batch size up to 50 from 10, and it seems to have dropped the load on the machine by 50%.  Lets see how it goes now.

Hi! I'm interested in running a pool - is the BiblePayPool github up to date? Or did the Sanctuary functionality replace BiblePayPool? thx in advance

Proof-of-DC consensus might remove the necessity for pool.
See this thread:
http://forum.biblepay.org/index.php?topic=108.225

I'm working on writing an SQL induction library for Rosetta Credits per Researcher, so we can write accountability reports for the pool.

Biblepay is #50,230 in the world in the BOINC stats:

This will be a nice URL to monitor in the future.

Any one know how to fix wallet when it says failed to load masternode cache from mncache.dat file. I just wanting to run it to mine not even using wallet for MN. I already tried to uninstall wallet and reinstall wallet. Thanks
Just rm mncache.dat, rm blocks -R, rm chainstate -R and resync.
It should rebuild mncache.dat automagically.

Lowering the difficulty definitely had some effect. All the small miners (even Raspberry Pis) are constantly in double digits share-wise. However my two strong DualXeon machines show huge inconsistencies regarding their HPS2 and shares, one of them (running 1089) even drops to 5-6 shares from time to time, which is completely ridiculous. So the low difficulty seems to level down all miners to a certain level of "uniformity" and give a big malus to the stronger machines.
The pool itself seems to hit a bit more blocks (10 currently for 24h), but I'm not sure how this would be a result of lowering the diff; it probably is a coincidence.

Regarding the PODC: I ran BOINC for maybe 30 hours now on my Xeon 1230v3 (half of the time besides a cryptonight miner) and right now I'm sitting at RAC 503 and mag 55. Over the last couple of hours I received 3 mining payments with exactly 75318.58 tBBP each. Is this some kind of bug? It seems quite strange to me to receive 3 mining credits in 5 hours. Or is this the accumulated credits for all my BOINC mining (but then it would also be strange to have thrice the exact same amount...)?
Ive verified the code that inducts the lower diff solutions, its just your basic Ill give you a smaller problem than the one they are all solving, and Ill verify its correct, I think we inherited some type of "multiwallet" issue that Togo mentioned many times.  Its a quirk.  But I agree we appear to have a real botnet out there pulling 90% of our hash.  The pool is a small minority now.  We just got lucky I think when we lowered the diff.  There is not much of a delay between solution packets, about 1/2 a second is spent asking for more work, then it mines for 5 minutes or so, the overhead is low.

On the Boinc issue I recommend posting these things in the testnet thread, but Ill comment on this one:  Testnet has 1 minute blocks, so there are 7 times as many blocks, so that means 7 superblocks a day.  Thats why you got the 3 rewards in 5 hours.  The reason they were the same is your Magnitude didnt change over that short period InClient (that requires a sanctuary quorum to change that).

Good job, I hope you like Rosetta!  It also fixes the multiwallet pool issues.

No ICO?
No Airdrop?
How do we get token then?
Please join the pool at :  http://pool.biblepay.org  then click   on the menu option for  Faucet.

i must doing something wrong, if i run exec associate email password, i got invalid credentials..

This is not the forum for Testnet questions please use this one:

Ensure Rosetta email does not contain ";=+" also.  Otherwise, try logging into Rosetta web portal with the credentials first, then post in testnet thread.

all what have 2+ machines on testing rosetta: can you check your exec getboincinfo: 1 machine shows me good info and 2nd machine doesnt= where is problem?

This is not the forum for Testnet questions please use this one:
http://forum.biblepay.org/index.php?topic=108.225

There is no problem, you must have one controller wallet associated with Rosetta - the one with the public key pointing to your Rosetta account is the one that has the correct 'exec getboincinfo'.  The other machine is just a biblepay wallet that knows nothing about Rosetta.  This is by design, so you can have a 1:many relationship to ControllerWallet->RosettaMiners.

I showed some people who had a mediocre level of sophistication in terms of cryptocurrency go to the biblepay website and be turned off by the webpage.

The new logo and wallet design is beautiful: but they wont get that far.

Perhaps a website revamp is in order at some point.

They noted specifically the way it seemed to emotionally camp the "help the africans" scheme, and too much text to consume at first glance.

All of us here are aware of the legitimacy of the project, but unsophisticated observers are being turned off by webpage design - just something to consider.

On parts of the website, the dark grey, blackish theme is really great. Maybe that could be used to transform the webpage.

Regarding our new Web Site:

Yes, as Luke just pointed out, its underway.

Tom volunteered to write a brand new website (there is a proposal in the pool for it), and will eventually be available at:
beta.biblepay.org

For us to review over the phases to make it a great representation of the community.

We are also working on fixing the text content to be more up-to-date and representative of the project.

You can ask zthomasz if he will allow you as a wordpress collaborator if your want to pitch in some help - I recommend focusing on different pages than he is working on, maybe add some pages of missing content to the site.

I added the Poll for PODC here:

http://forum.biblepay.org/index.php?topic=109.0

Its in the pool now, in the governance list, if you are a sanctuary please vote on it at your convenience.

NOTE: It will take an hour for this proposal to be votable as 6 confirms must pass by.

Testing PODC in testnet has been phenomenal so far.

All bugs discovered have been fixed.

We have 15 CPIDs (Rosetta Researchers) crunching in Test so far.

(Which is awesome), but we need more.  Can we please shoot for about 50 CPIDS?  So we can make a call on PODC in a few weeks.

Please, add a Rosetta CPID and help us test here:

So if I switch to solo then my miner will only have to do work as difficult as needed and not as difficult as pool work?

You can solve a share in the pool every 15 minutes, vs once every 30 days (solo mining) on a laptop.

EDIT: My 500 HPS slow single core has solved 7 shares in the last 15 minutes in the pool.  I think the pool is behaving correctly.

Blocks Mined (24 hour period):   4 (2%) does not looks like 'correctly'. isnt pool diff affecting also solving blocks? or is it only network traffict? higher diff => less traffic? but still lots of miners are randomly down. probability of this, that one day pool found 40 blocks and another day 4 is almost zero. it does not have anything with 'luck' or botnet. it is only some pool problem

Ill make you a deal Capulo.  Ill lower the diff so low, lower than anyone has ever seen, lets raise the shares per user to an extremely high level, over the next 24 hours and lets see if anything happens?  We solved 3% over the last 24 hours - 6 blocks - marked as of now.

If you run the 'exec versionreport' I do see 61% are still on 1081.  That suspiciously looks like most of the solo traffic.  Us plus them = 64%, so I assume a private pool has the other 33%.

Making the change now as of 2-10-2018 @ 0900 AM CST.

The pool is still down 1 million so Im in with all of you, hoping the pool can solve more blocks, Im not against you.

3759  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BiblePay - New Coin Launch - Official Thread on: February 10, 2018, 01:49:30 PM
It looks like the POL proposal will pass, what happens then?

Ill just subtract the money I earned off of it from the PODC proposal.

Ill enter the PODC proposal in a few hours and we can all vote on it.

Besides, POL is now in Biblepay's arsenal as an available tool.  Its not a bad tool, but it has a couple small problems:  Needs a BL rule for total allowed stakeweight per mining period, 'possibly' allows the rich to get a little richer, and is less effective at staving off the botnet as PODC with the signed cpid rule.  So in my PODC proposal Im going to recommend we leave it turned off for now.  But as I said its a great tool to have and Im thinking maybe someday we either still use it partially, Or we adapt it to work inside PODC (as a genuine mining marker per work unit- something to propel proof-of-distributed computings integrity higher for the masses).

3760  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BiblePay - New Coin Launch - Official Thread on: February 10, 2018, 01:08:50 AM
So my understanding is that the pool uses a share system, to divvy up the pool rewards, shares are based on how much hash each person contributes

Example:
Miner 1 - 50 shares
Miner 2 - 30 shares
Miner 3 - 20 shares

So if its just them 3, They will get 50%, 30%, 20%

Rob I believe is changing how many shares everyone gets, so for example it may now be:

Miner 1 - 5 shares
Miner 2 - 3 shares
Miner 3 - 2 shares

So they each still get the same amounts 50%, 30%, 20%

So I believe that is why Rob is saying the shares are relative

Why change the share values? I am not sure LOL

I raised the minimum pool difficulty because the lowest reference machine was solving 30 shares in 15 minutes.

I made it 3 per 15 minutes, then some of Lukes miners dropped out, then I raised it again to the midpoint, and now I think its a good happy medium.

It allows the pool to scale a little further into the future (performance-wise) before we need to double its size.  The other concern I had is I had the suspicion that some people are creating VM's to make more money and thats really not we're about.  At least I dont want the pool to subsidize that behavior.

The pool is for the average everyday miner.
