out of curiosity are these coins considered worth less than the previous batch because they are "higher number" or whatever? Collectors usually pay less for higher numbers, yes. The lower the better is the general consensus.

Indeed it isn't ideal, but here it's a decision of whether to go for ideology here versus accuracy. While I understand it's a Bitcoin forum, if they aren't paying in Bitcoin...
If you really want to, it might be worth making a separate table for signature campaigns which pay out based on USD if more of them come out.
I rather have one thread to rule them all and accuracy, so if needed, I'll let go of my ideology and just add dollars to the table. |

I don't see why you need to have a live Bitcoin counter for that, it seems like it's quite inaccurate if it's presented and rounded like that. Just say $0.30 for staff, for instance, or 30¢, or $.30...etc. There's no problem with putting USD as an amount in the table if that's what the signature campaign pays in.
Well, I rather not have dollar values in my table, because we are a Bitcoin forum, not a Dollar forum. Anyway, I've created a quick StrawPoll with some possible opties. I'll use whatever gets a majority of votes. |

I can't accepted that in my overview table. It will destroy the design and make it unnecessarily wide (and it's already too wide IMO). I would go with the **, as special conditions do apply to this campaign (aka. payout pegged to USD instead of Bitcoin).

He needs 0.14 btc to pay this campaign by my count, and that's w/o accepting anyone else, and the campaign is still opened so..yeah, he's good for now.
The way you said it seamed to be as if he's going to pay by the estimated USD value from op (the "due to increase in price" part.) which would be very wrong. Oh no! That's not what I meant and I'm sorry that I caused this confusion. If more people join and the amount he would have to pay exceeds the amount I have in escrow, I'll make sure he (and everybody else) knows about it. I hope this settles it. |

I'm not sure what the problem seems to be. I have 0.5BTC in escrow, which is more than enough to cover this months payment (which is only 0.12BTC with the current amount of participants). Ray just wanted to have some of the BTC back so that he could sell it. I fulfilled his request as it did not (and still does not nor ever will) endanger any of the participants in this campaign (which is the reason I'm escrowing in the first place).
