3741  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will coronavirus encourage people to use crypto more thoroughly? on: March 17, 2020, 04:00:38 PM
Did you also see the news that they are rushing into WeChat Pay which has been a popular payment method there for long?

Bitcoin is really lacking, there is a level of adoption I wish that Bitcoin will attain. If companies like Amazon and Alibaba will start adopting Bitcoin as a payment method on their site it’s really going to help boost the adoption for Bitcoin. Whenever people wants to make payment on these platforms they will always see the Bitcoin option and when they see it regularly they will be urged to try out Bitcoin. I’m seriously looking forward to this.
3742  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Preparing for the dip days as an investor on: March 17, 2020, 12:57:14 PM
Keeping your money in a stable coins are a good decision to become prepared in times the coins are in dip. Though fluctuations are quite normal in crypto I think most of us didnt expect the market to turn bearish because we thought there's a chance for bull run due to halving.

If you are planning to buy this is the perfect time, coins are declining and cheap especially the popular coins. So take advantage this situation while the price is affordable.
Many investors have faced loss because they were prepared for the bullish trend and they were strongly hit by the bearish markets which gave them excess loss. Some of those investors also had some open positions in leverage trading and thEIR accounts got liquidated as stated by the past news about $120+M got liquidated on bitmex, binance and bybit.

This would be a major loss but yet there are a lot of whales waiting to get into the markets as soon as the markets start showing growth as the price would be bounced extremely vigorously in the short interval. We should never forget that the halving process is about to happen in few months.
3743  Economy / Economics / Re: South Korea quarantines and burn their cash due to Coronavirus on: March 17, 2020, 11:14:25 AM
Right from time it’s very important that after touching money you should wash your hands and keep them clean before touching any other thing, like your skin.

Cash circulates around and is touched by a lot of people, so it’s not good to touch cash and not wash your hands. They have really taken a good action by quarantining cash and burning them, that will be very good. And now is the best time for people to start making use of cashless means of transactions like cryptocurrency (Bitcoin), mobile banking apps, PayPal, WeChat, Payoneer and other electronic payment methods, that way there wouldn’t be any contact with anyone.
3744  Economy / Economics / Re: If bitcoin is made for times like these why is everyone selling at a time like.. on: March 17, 2020, 10:44:16 AM
Bitcoin was made for times like this and that is EXACTLY why it dropped as well. I still think it shouldn't have dropped and I still think it should have even gone up but I do understand the reasoning behind selling bitcoin on times like this. Why was bitcoin created?

So, people wouldn't get affected by the falls of the societies economical troubles. What happened? People who have lost so much money due to corona virus and all the trouble actually sold their profitable and saved aside bitcoins to cover the difference and continue to live like nothing happened. During times when economy falls, if you are a person who didn't get affected by it thanks to bitcoin that means you are doing better than anyone else who didn't get into bitcoin. It wasn't suppose to be used like that but it does help people out on bad financial times this way as well.
3745  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Top Cryptocurrency Exchanges on: March 16, 2020, 06:18:50 PM
Another newbie telling us what is best Roll Eyes how did you know that that’s the fastest exchange there is, have you asked questions or have you done proper research about other exchanges there is? There are lots of exchanges that are far much better than this exchange you have mentioned when it comes to the services they offer. And moreover, this is not a popular exchange and nobody seems to know about it, I have even checked some of the comments here.

I am not the type f person that makes use of exchanges that are not well known. There are better crypto exchanges you can use like Binance, KuCoin, and even Coinbase.
3746  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you use a trading Bot? on: March 16, 2020, 05:14:34 PM
No, I always prefer trading with manual approach. If we do that well then we will be moving to right position. I am working with FreshForex, and that makes manual trading even better to do with the low spreads, fast execution of trades and much more.
But at certain point in trading we all require scripts and bots which can facilitate the tasks we are doing manually, I give you an example suppose you are a price trader and you make a purchase whenever price does by 1% and sell off once the price goes up by 1% then you may easily automate this and relax and spend your time on learning more about trading and charts.

I mean bots are there to make human tasks easier and not to replace humans at all, I mean it is us who will enter data into bots so they only make decisions based on that and hence I personally believe that yeah not initially but at some point in trading you always require a bot that can automate the process as much as possible with the trader only putting basic data and inputs.
3747  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why is everyone expecting continuous growth? on: March 16, 2020, 04:41:06 PM
We all were and dare say, we still are expecting continuous growth because otherwise we assume that our investments until now have been in vain and thus puts us all in a very difficult situation, so to avoid this we hope for the best.
Yes and each investment made in any crypto and in general too is because we are expecting the value to go up despite knowing subconsciously that the price will indeed go down at some point, it is very similar to gambling where when we are winning we still keep on betting because we think that we will win again no matter the past outcomes.

I am also one of the traders and even I always think positive but when I sense that the price may go down then I actually make smaller investments while when a dump happened like recently then I go big because I certainly believe the price will not go down at least by too much if even it does not rise.
3748  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Now Legal In India? on: March 16, 2020, 03:43:45 PM
Is a Bad news mate and you have already mentioned that Corona Virus makes everything in the world shaking now.imagine falling more than 45% in just 1 day?
You might be right but I guess it is good opportunity for Indian bitcoiners to buy bitcoins now because the price is down and recently they allowed bitcoin transactions so I would say this is like another buying opportunity for everyone in India to buy some bitcoins before it sky rockets again very soon.

Good news after several year India banned using bitcoin as investment and digital assets for trading and as currency payment, when India have make bitcoin become legal transaction need for seeing other country want to adopt bitcoin and altcoin as legal payment too.
You must be careful when you read any news because if I understood correctly, they allowed bitcoins to be bought and sold because there is no law in constitution that denies the purchase of any asset but let me make it clear, I am quite sure the government hasn't legalized bitcoins for payment method just yet, although they might do it but I see the chances are pretty low for adopting bitcoins as payment option officially.
3749  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where is the best place to watch cryptocurrency courses? on: March 16, 2020, 03:02:13 PM
Courses? Meh no. Dont for any paid ones if you are really enthusiastic about those. While it might seem like a good option for a newbie to listen to courses and learn, the reality is that you will learn a lot more from actual trading. This might sound strange but this is where I suggest people to go for stock markets courses, because crypto promoters will often shill their shitcoins for the viewer to buy them.
I agree with that but OP was about how to learn about bitcoins not learning crypto trading or investing.

For me, I have learned a lot about bitcoins only from youtube and this forum like how the core works, what an open ledger is and how it works. There are gigantic number of videos out there so paying to anyone for learning would be a bad idea for something that is so much publicly available.

Although most of the knowledge about bitcoins that is available publicly is about how bitcoin works but if you want to learn about how various wallets and technical aspects work or you want to make some service of your own and hence looking for information then you must hire an adviser or someone because there are many technical things that might not be known to you.
3750  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does anyone pay for slandering gambling websites on Bitcointalk? on: March 16, 2020, 09:47:00 AM
I know and strongly believe there are such activities going on and there is no way you can identity who is behind all this crap so nothing we can do about it. But on a flip side of this whenever such scam reports are made the casino also gains some extra popularity because they reach more gamblers and once they are proven innocent there is even more faith in the casino and I sometimes wonder if casinos pay people to make scam report against them and later prove that they are legit which will bring more trust to them and more solidity in the market.

This can be done both ways, there might be casinos paying to slander other casinos or they might be paying to slander their own casino just to prove themselves innocent and later gain more popularity and market trust.
3751  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: March 15, 2020, 04:36:06 PM
Interestingly that "unnamed pistons player" turned out to be christian wood who guarded Rudy Gobert on their last matchup on Wednesday so I could probably assume that we all know how christian wood got corona, dude basically was in physical contact with Gobert for 30 minutes, it is obvious.

From what we know the case in NBA raised to three officially known ones with this after Gobert and Donovan, we all know both of them got it from Gobert as well, so the only question remains, who did Gobert got it from? That much we do not know. In any case I am glad that no other Jazz player or staff got corona, because that would be really worrying, when one person gets it it is easier to spread it around in a circle. I am glad that we are staying at three and the players are no longer playing so I hope they are taking care of themselves and not get anything.
3752  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have an idea in percentage how big gambling industry's contribution? on: March 15, 2020, 03:46:10 PM
Actually I would say the gambling industry contributes close to 50% of the market distribution because there are massive giants in market now be it primedice for dice gambling or be it sportsbet that claims to accepts single bets of 100 btc which tells how massive the market has become now. I don't think there is any crypto market as big as gambling apart from maybe altcoins which contributes a lot too but in my opinion gambling market is just too massive!

I would love to have a total wager amount combined all currently running dice websites alone and it would be huge I guess. I wish there was some tool to know which section of crypto holds how much market share right now.
3753  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why is everyone expecting continuous growth? on: March 15, 2020, 03:16:43 PM
I think this is the human nature. Usually humans are a greedy animal who always think for their own profits. This might even make us think for the profits only and most of the times, we might avoid looking at the looses. We should never forget that each coin has two sides and the coin may flip anytime.

I personally am prepared to face any loss without actually hurting my emotional feelings. I also do wait for the profits to knock my door but mostly I never keep my door open for the profits to enter my house anytime. I know how the markets works and this helps me in controlling my greed. I think majority of people should think the similar.
3754  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it true that Corona Virus may effect trading? on: March 15, 2020, 02:43:38 PM
Is it true that Corona Virus may effect trading?

Is it true that Corona Virus is affecting Cryptocurrency trading? If so then I have some ideas which may help to prepare the vaccine in short period of time to control the Corona Virus. However I am unable to find a forum where I may share my ideas.
Corona virus is almost affecting each and every financial monetary system present on the entire globe. It has already created a panic globally. I've made a deep research about the epidemic and also the cure to this. It would take more than a year to create a vaccine for preventing corona virus. The virus is recently been emerged having no actual cure.

If you have the idea of preparing the vaccine in short period of time than you should not waste even a single minute and get to the work as many lives are been lost because of this deadly virus. 4000+ people are already dead and the number of infected ones is really huge. Most of the cities are on lock down. Schools and colleges are shut down. This is really creating a huge mess.
3755  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are there any trading chat rooms? on: March 15, 2020, 02:06:06 PM
Why don't you create a similar group and try publishing it so that various actual traders might join in and it might convert into a genuine trading chat room? Usually there are a number of similar private chat rooms and even I have created a one few months ago which now has 100+ active traders and hence I've kept it private to reduce the number of scammers into the group.

Number of times, I have seen some chat rooms only promoting some shit coins which usually also traps some newbies into the markets. This usually brings fake volume into reality so you should never just join any random chatroom. You should find some genuine traders and add them into your circle to be updated with the trading markets.
3756  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What To Do? (For People Who Mostly Gamble on NBA Games) on: March 14, 2020, 04:14:51 PM
It is a shame that we are saying we cannot bet on events because if you have got so much money that you are itching to loose it on gambling even during the crisis time cause by Corona Virus then just donate the money to people in need. I mean there is a crisis and everyone is probably saving money because everything is crashing be it stock market or big industries, everything is collapsing and in such time personally if I was so itching to loose money on gambling then I would better spend the money to help people who are suffering. Look I am no one to suggest what you should do with your money but I am just telling my own opinion.

For people who are addicted with sports betting and NBA maybe they should look at this opportunity to get out from this gambling addiction rather than to get even more obsessed and gamble everything once things are back to normal.
3757  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the terms you decide on which casino to play? on: March 14, 2020, 02:58:24 PM
Based on my experienced, before i play or deposit my cryptos or funds in a online casino. I always check it's reviews if some players did not encounter any problem on it's system, and i always check if the online casino was existed a long time ago, so i could know if it is legitimate and secured to play.
For me I just visit the thread of that casino here at bitcointalk and check their trust ratings and recent posts and if there are any allegations being made and active against them then I mostly avoid such casinos. After that I try and find if the casino requires any sort of KYC for small gamblers like me and I must make it clear, I never wish to play at any crypto casino that asks for ID proof when withdrawing my own money, I would rather go with betway or bet365 if I am happy to provide id proofs.

Apart from these basics I usually want a attractive design and some unique games for example I play at primedice because its just damn trusted but then I also visit bustabit because it's unique!
3758  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Coronavirus and it’s impact on sporting events - please add on: March 14, 2020, 02:17:06 PM
Upcoming UFC fights are affected. Though it was not postponed but based on what I've understand the fights will continue however there will be no spectators on the given setting at all. All we can do is to watch it via computer or mobile devices. For more info check this out: https://www.facebook.com/176272595900226/posts/1247955375398604/?app=fbl

I'm a little bit worried on Khabib vs Ferguson fight. It seems that they are really meant to fight each other lol Grin. The universe is not allowing them to do so.
Added to that most of the e-sports events have been delayed and cancelled as I was checking around and LPL, LEC, etc are delayed and even the matches that are being played are actually done under immense security, masks and other precautions. I believe that while sports and other other events are important and it is financial as well as interest loss for event organizers but they must understand how dangerous and quickly this virus spreads and if not enough measures are taken there will be chaos in no time.

I was even gutted to see the price swings BTC is going through right now because not just gambling, gaming, entertainment but even financial markets are shattered because of the coronavirus.
3759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ways to recover from being addicted in gambling. on: March 14, 2020, 12:17:59 PM
Point number one is very important, if you have a loving and strong family, there is no way you will turn to gambling, because gambling will turn you away from your family, and of course you do not want to be away with your family, I have not seen a loving and responsible father gambling to much to the point of neglecting the family.
Yes and being a close family also means you will always have someone around you to talk with you and you don't get spare time to spend in gambling and that is one reason why families where the father goes to job and the mother goes to job and the children are alone they always feel alone and are more prone to gambling and other addictions. Another point that will amaze you is that, single child has more chances of such addictions because if he/she has a sibling then they would always talk to each other and such addictions are less common.

Once you are actually addicted though, there is only one solution and that is to visit a proper mental healthcare and get yourself proper treatment because once you are into gambling no family can save you if your addiction is severe.
3760  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency Now Fully Legal in South Korea on: March 14, 2020, 11:03:31 AM
I wasn't aware that it wasn't fully legal in south Korea until now. They have exchanges and all other stuff there so I just assumed it was legal already since they were capable of starting those companies there and had no problems so far. I guess that was due to them being friendly with crypto in general and this just made it so much more clearer for everyone involved as well.

Do not forget that is is basically legal in USA as well which is probably worlds one of the leading economical powers (between china as well) and that didn't created such a huge surge in bitcoin interest in USA neither which means south Korea making bitcoin legal is not going to suddenly change the price. I am just full on warning everyone in case anyone thinks this will change anything.
