Hmm... What to do...
Make 400% in one day or 1% in one month... Hmm....

LTC seems like it could have a bubble not unlike the BTC bubble of 2011.
That wasn't a bubble, it was an exchange hack...

The LTC price has the potential to go up to 0.25 BTC.
If it goes over that it seem overvalued (unless there is a serious problem with the Bitcoin network.)
The reason for this is that the total number of Litecoins will be 4 times that of Bitcoin.
Yup, I think you are on the right track. Namecoin and Ixcoin are also in the race for MtGox support. Namecoin will be first, together with LTC. Namecoin and Ixcoin are merge-mined so they are pretty safe against 51% attack.

really no one help me ?
i willing to put bounty (0.05) btc if anyone can help me solve this problem !
Change the first and second DNS at your network settings to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 (Google DNS servers). Then go to command prompt and type (start -> run -> CMD): ipconfig /flushdns Then start the Ixcoin client. Worked for me. Can change them back after downloading the blockchain.

Yeah got some USD. I figure I can use it to cover my initial costs getting into the game...
Why not just wait for it to go up? Don't you trust the coin you are mining?
|
|
|
LTC literally skyrocketed overnight.
Yup, my gut feeling was right I put my money where my mouth is and bought a nice stack of LTC at 0,80$ And don't sell, it will go up even more.

Did you sell for Dollars? Who uses Dollars? I always sell for BTC...

Rumors that more altcoins (at least the merge-mined coins because they are safe from 51% attacks) will be added to MtGox if LTC and NMC are a success. That could / would be good news for Ixcoin Too bad I sold my 10k IXC at 0.00000000000000000000001 BTC or something close to that Just 800 of them left by mining at mmpool... i0coin is really dead now, I guess? Client crashes at 2GB block size / memory limit.

Kk i think i know what the problem is.
CG miner is showing the difficulty as 6.59M which is the Bitcoin Difficulty not the Litecoin difficulty.
How do i change this?
Not, it's correct. multiply / divide by 65535.

Maybe there was an empty position after the the password. Did you try typing your password and hit the space bar before you press enter?
"XYZ123 " is different from "XYZ123".

900-1500 Watt/hour to mine at 40Mhash/s? I don't want to be a smartass, but I still I wanted to correct you on the Unit usage. Namely Watt/hour is not a meaningful unit that would describe anything useful. My guess is that you wanted to say 900-1500W to mine at 40Mh/s. Indeed mining in those terms makes no sense at 900W will cost you at lease €2 per day where 40Mh/s will get you €0.2 per day. Now if the guy needs not paying for electricity, then it is technicaly still a profit of €0.2 each day Smartass

Why Litecoin when it can be so easily influenced by botnets? ASIC miners will eventually hit economies of scale and everyone can own one. It's short-run scarcity that has everyone moving to scrypt, but how Litecoin is setup causes it to be less of a stabilize cryptocurrency imo. I also have massive questions (i.e. doubt) about the LTC development team given their attitude and how long the last commit on github was (8 months at the time of this post)
Even botnets make the network stronger. And if you are afraid of a 51 attack... You need 6200 HD5870's to accomplish that... It could be done... But most botnets are "CPU miners" (low hashrate) or badly optimized "GPU miners"...
