3741  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Unconfirmed transaction on: June 13, 2017, 01:35:39 PM
Il try to catch the next hour I guess!
On armory I cleared unconfirmed transactions, if I send it again with a higher fee will it possibly get confirmed before the original tx?

yes, if you re-use the same unspent outputs as you used for the stuck transaction and broadcast the new (double spending) transaction, there is a reasonable chance it will confirm before the stuck transaction... The only problem seems to be that a lot of nodes reject the new transaction, but you shouldn't worry about this.

You could always try a CPFP seeing as you sent the coins to yourself... (or maybe an RBF if Armory supports it)

Only one input, sequence = 4294967295, so this one wasn't opt-in RBF Wink
3742  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Backing up an Electrum wallet on: June 13, 2017, 12:44:03 PM
Is it enough to back up my Electrum wallet file once if I disable change addresses?

Just back up the seed words you got when creating a new wallet, that's all you ever need Smiley
Disabling the change addresses shouldn't have any impact on the ability to restore your wallet from seed.
3743  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Blockchain disable pyment to multiple addresses per transaction. on: June 13, 2017, 12:32:25 PM
The option of electrum will be better since it shall take few minutes to get everything setup and people shall receive their payment.

How secure is electrum wallet? What are the transaction fees for send btc on their network ?
Bitcoin Core is definitely better in terms of security and privacy but the tradeoff is worth it for the convenience.

All your private keys are stored within the Electrum wallet and as long as you download it from their official website and the signature matches, it is very secure. They do not have any control over your private key.

For the transaction fees, you can set your own fee for the entire transaction, per kb or use dynamic fee which adjusts the fee structure automatically. I would recommend the latter though it can costs more but at least it will get confirmed in a fairly reasonable time.

I just wanted to add one last thing: it seems like you (the OP), are a bit confused on the topic of fees.
Electrum doesn't charge any fees* to send BTC on their network, neither does core, neither does blockchain.info (as far as i know).
There is one network, different wallet clients that help you keeping track of your outputs, create transactions, sign messages,... All these wallets should use the same network, the same ledger, the same protocol,... (unless you're talking about altcoins)

YOU use unspent outputs as input for a new transaction, the difference between the sum of the inputs and sum of the outputs is the fee. The fee is payed to the miner that mines the block that includes your transaction. The higher the fee per byte of transaction data, the better the odds will be that a miner will pick your transaction to be added to the block he's currently working on.

Altough some wallets have a built-in security, there are a lot of wallets that will allow you to create 0 fee transactions, but your chances of getting those ones in a block are very small.
There also used to be some wallets that did charge a fee (like the old multibit HD), but i think most of them have stopped this practice.

* PS: electrum works together with a 2FA provider that does charge a fee, so if you enable 2FA in electrum, you might have to pay a per-transaction fee (afaik)
3744  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Blockchain disable pyment to multiple addresses per transaction. on: June 13, 2017, 11:07:36 AM
Blockchain.info are becoming more greedy as claimed by some rumors, they expects all transactions to be done bit by bit in order to receive some percentage from the high transactions fees that blockchains are charging.

Does electrum wallet also download all the blockchain before we can use it because it shall takes days before bitcoin synchro or it is an instant usage.

No,
It's an SPV wallet, it only downloads the block headers (it should only take a couple of minutes).

I would also recommend either electrum, or bitcoin core... Both have a paytomany (sendmany in core) function. The upside from core would be that your wallet actually downloads and verifies every block, so you're also helping the network... It can also signal something (in case you have a "political" opinion on the current blocksize debate).
The upside of electrum would be that it's SPV and HD (altough more recent versions of core are also HD)

277cec10ae67695104bad347ef522aa9a05344d3f3204a30c518fb98c7eae985

I sent to the address 1KYVUmpRyDvVNw67YdHRSoVUcKNHF6m7bZ and it's stuck at 0 Confirmations for almost a day now.

I've sent dozens of Bitcoin transactions in the past and never had an issue with stuck transactions.

From the research I've done, Bitcoin Transactions have increased in cost recently and the fee Blockchain.info auto selected for me is too low (I've never changed the fee for a transaction before).  So I will definitely be manually selecting a higher fee next time.

From this forum, I've read that I can try to get my transaction confirmed via https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/, but I keep getting the message that "Submissions are beyond limit."

Can anyone help me get my transaction confirmed?

Thanks so much in advance.

I'll push it to viaBTC in 37 minutes.

EDIT: tx pushed, it should be in the next block viaBTC mines (can take a couple of hours)

3748  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Miner calculation result on: June 12, 2017, 10:49:10 AM
I find those information from https://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency/coins/ethereum

So i did mix BTC (using sha250d) info with ETH(using EtHash Algorithm) info. sr for lack of info Smiley

Seem like this one is more correct(Use AntMiner s9 to mine BTC sha250d):

inputs: https://pasteboard.co/hBSvp5jLv.png
Result: https://pasteboard.co/hBUlHneAN.png

so, if i want to mine ETH then use GPU miner and get suitable software which is using EtHash algorithm?

That is correct, altough if you want more info about ETH mining, you might want to start a topic in the correct subforum (altcoin mining).
Good luck!

Hi,

Im new and I wonder if my hash rate is good 190.1/185.0/130.9Mh/s, and also I get this on sg.stratum.slushpool.com:3333

[2017-06-12 17:51:32] Stratum from pool 0 detected new block
[2017-06-12 17:51:52] Stratum from pool 0 detected new block

am I in the right track?Im confused with others, they can mine .00000100 a day

Correct me if i'm wrong, but 130-190 Mh/s seems like you're trying to GPU mine?
I'm afraid to tell you that GPU mining is a thing of the past... If you own a GPU mining farm, i'd suggest browsing the altcoin mining subforum, and find a suitable altcoin to mine with your GPU, mining Bitcoin with a GPU will actually cost you money (in power costs).
3750  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Miner calculation result on: June 12, 2017, 09:53:20 AM
1, when I try to use calculator on ConWarz like this image below:
https://pasteboard.co/hAxvxbu1U.png

Then i got the result like this:
https://pasteboard.co/hAB5T1gqO.png

i count profit of ETH Coin

The source of information:
- Hash Rate, Wattz: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_hardware_comparison
- Power cost: from my house
- Pool fees: i assume that 1%
- Bitcoin Difficulty, Block reward, Bitcoin to Dollar: from CoinWarz (difficulty is not sharp but i round it 674...)

question: is this result true, or some inputs are not correct?

2, i am confusing about GPU and ASIC mining what is better if my condition is like (investment 2500$ Smiley get some coffees),
consider about these criteria: Cost, profit
3. can ASIC miner(antminer s9)  mine multiple coin?

Wait... Where did you get ETH?
You are using the BTC mining calculator, and you're looking at the BTC ASIC's list. You cannot mine ETH using sha256d miners (those ones are only suitable for sha256d coins like bitcoin).

It just looks like you're mixing up everything... You filled in values that seem to be consistent to an S9, but the price and block reward are those of ETH (at least, that's what i think, i didn't bother to check).

HCP gave 2 of the best links... You can also use my fee estimator, it'll help you guestimating a fee that is appropriate for the transaction you're currently making, without having to know how to calculate transaction sizes Wink

3753  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Upgrade Mobile-Mining? on: June 12, 2017, 07:16:08 AM

Is it possible to upgrade the Hashrate from a Smartphone? How could this work?

I don't quite get your question here...
Are you asking about mining on your mobile (short answer: VERY, very bad idear).
OR
Are you asking about controlling your farm from your mobile phone (this depends on your specific setup, IMHO, more info is needed)
OR
Are you asking about buying cloud mining hashrate (short answer: bad idear)
OR
Are you asking something else?

I asking about mining on mobile phone with services like Minergate.
This is not about good or bad idea, i just ask are the possibilities?
A technical question, not investment.  Smiley

Yes, theoretically it is. Some people created an app for android which you could potentially use to mine for BTC and some other crypto currencies.
However, if you start running them, your phone will overheat in a matter of minutes, significantly reducing the lifespan of your mobile device, consuming a lot of power while generating fractions of a dollarcent per year.

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Non-specialized_hardware_comparison#ARM

An A9 generates 1.3 Mh/s:
https://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/bitcoin-mining-calculator/?h=0.0012&p=1&pc=0.00&pf=1&d=678760110082.99000000&r=12.50000000&er=2964.75000000&hc=0.00

At current diff and block reward, you'd get 16 satoshi's per year (~0.0004622 USD at current BTC price)... given that you're able to find a single share that year (not guaranteed)

Hi,

Can somebody help me with my unconfirmed transaction?
https://blockchain.info/tx/2baa45ee38a4095f9625f0163f3246ceb56f609d0176741edc33ee44050670bd

It hasn't been confirmed since 1 day and I really need the coins quickly.
viabtc doesn't work for me.

I can give a 0.01 BTC donation if you can accelerate my tx.

Thanks a lot

submitted it to antpool 1 minute ago Smiley
Next time they hit a block, your transaction could be confirmed (usually within a couple of hours).

However, i'm not 100% sure if antpool will accept such a transaction, since all parents are unconfirmed! If this acceleration doesn't work, i can re-broadcast all parents one by one and add them to both viabtc and antpool, but this would take some time to do (since it would require looking up the full chain of unconfirmed parents and accelerating them one by one).

First, let's wait if antpool is willing to add all transactions at once Smiley
This is transaction Relayed By F2Pool not AntPool!!  Wink Cheesy

have you read the big post i made above? The transaction itself had loads of unconfirmed parents, that was the problem. I fixed those parents by submitting the ones that had problems to antpool and/or viaBTC. After the parent was confirmed, i re-broadcasted the unconfirmed children so they would be in the mempool of the mining nodes. If the children didn't have problems, other pools picked them up, if they had problems i used andpool or viabtc.
As soon as all parents were confirmed, F2Pool picked up the transaction posted by the OP.

I have one question. How do you can to add transaction in antpool? Do you have access on their transaction selector or did you decided to use btc.com's accelerator which costs very high and probably don't worths for bounty? Also currently it become very difficult to add transaction in viabtc accelerator, congrats you.
Also OP when you make transaction of 7.4 btc, can't you to throw a little more 0.002btc from your pocket and don't make something hard?

Yes, antpool has a gui for adding transactions, it's free, but AFAIK, it's not public knowledge, so i don't think i can share the url freely...
3756  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum wallet unknown 0.005 on: June 09, 2017, 09:06:21 AM
After 26 confirmations, I have not recieved the amount 0.0005. There is no adress such like this at my change list. I wonder where is the problem?
Have you tried clicking the little arrow next to "used"... as used change addresses are not displayed by default. Same with receive addresses.

After you click the arrow so it points down, the list of addresses is expanded and you can see all the used change addresses.

You can also goto the Console and type:

Code:
ismine("1EUokf7oC6e46PAknY18H2Fd4nb6EAvP8e")

If it says true... that is definitely in your wallet, the coins are there Wink

I checked change adresses too but no still missing. When is write code "name 'ine' is not defined" showed up. I am not sure if it says no or code is mistaken.

must be a typo... If you type in
Code:
ismine("1EUokf7oC6e46PAknY18H2Fd4nb6EAvP8e")

The reply should be either nothing or true... If the reply is true, the private key for 1EUokf7oC6e46PAknY18H2Fd4nb6EAvP8e is managed by your wallet, and everything should be ok.

For example, in my console, i checked if i helt your private key, and then i checked if i helt my own key:
Code:
>> ismine("1EUokf7oC6e46PAknY18H2Fd4nb6EAvP8e")

>> ismine("1MocACiWLM8bYn8pCrYjy6uHq4U3CkxLaa")
true
>>

any other replies should point to a typo when entering the ismine statement...

BTW: you posted an electrum question in the multibit subforum, it might be nice if you moved it to the correct subforum

3758  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: cancel transaction on: June 09, 2017, 06:39:59 AM
i am using multibit hd.
how long should i wait before i try to repair my wallet?
i got same problem was ago, my tx was dropped by mempool, and it takes 48 hours, and funds come bank to sender wallet.
waiting is your option for now, but your funds is safe.
its 10 days now and i once repaired my wallets also. that i think restarted the transfer, don't know for sure.

You haven't given us your tx id (that's not a real problem), it does mean i cannot check when i received your transaction on my node.
You can look up your transaction on blockchain.info, and see at what time their node received your transaction. If they received it just now, it means your wallet indeed rebroadcasted it.
3759  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Xapo fees is too high. on: June 08, 2017, 02:02:37 PM
This is only a guess, but AFAIK, xapo was popupal amongst faucet users and PTC'ers... Since they didn't have to pay a fee to spend their outputs, i can only imagine a lot of people used xapo to send dust outputs to.
If this is still the case, xapo must have loads and loads of dust outputs, so if they have to combine a bunch of dust to create reasonable sized transaction outputs, the average size of xapo withdrawal transactions would be above-average, explaining the higher fees.

Once again: this is a guess, one of the possible theories...
3760  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Help me !! Transaction ID doesn't exist on: June 08, 2017, 01:23:49 PM
Strange...
Is better to delete mempool.dat, start Bitcoin core with
bitcoin-qt.exe -walletbroadcast=0
and after, abandon transaction in bitcoin core ? ( my BTC return in Balance )
And wait... but until when ?!
I'm afraid I'm going to be the same with other transactions...

I'm afraid it isn't your wallet... The conflicting transaction was found on my mempool, and the mempool of all other nodes i tried to broadcast your transaction to, so it's fair to say that most of the current network probably has a conflicting transaction in it's mempool...

So, yes, you can abandon the transaction, but you should wait at least 72 hours after the conflicting transaction was broadcasted before re-using the outputs to create a new transaction (default setting for nodes is to drop an unconfirmed tx after 72 hours).
If, in the meantime, the conflicting transaction makes it into a block, the outputs used for this transaction will be removed from the UTXO, and if your wallet remains sync'ed you'll be able to use the leftover outputs (if any).

So, to summarise:
- you can abandon the transaction
- then wait at least 72 hours
- then make sure your wallet is synchronised
- then try to use any leftover outputs (funds) to create a new transaction

This should work... I hope... Good luck!
