3761  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 30 sec - 5 sec chart on: August 16, 2020, 10:51:40 PM
I have never seen any crypto exchange I have ever used that offers time ranges on charts less than 1 minute since most of them use tradingview i guess. The only choice you probably have so far is just pay for that pro version of Tradingview if you badly need that time range.
3762  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Bitcoin for sale on: August 15, 2020, 11:57:00 PM
What does mean "Newbie account and posts about selling bitcoin" ?
You exactly know what he/she meant. What is so hard to grasp?

Obviously newbies are not criminals, and they join the forum for their selling or buying needs.
100% are, especially when they just register to post here about purchases or sales. post their email addresses, telegram or Skype IDs. Log out and never come back.

People with old accounts should stop this stupid attitude to every new around.
You guys are around to help people with information, not to point with fingers for no reason calling randomly bad names.
You instead, should stop the bitchy attitude and be grateful of the warnings. Just because you are aware of scams doesn't mean newbies or guest users out there know what's going on.
3763  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is purpose of archive post? on: August 15, 2020, 10:49:58 PM
Archiving is like away of saving the contents of a website, web page links or forum thread posts online to a third party archive service so that In case the post in the  thread is deleted or edited, one can still refer to the unedited or undeleted saved version online in websites like https://archive.org or http://archive.is/

It's more like away of keeping a website's or web page's record online for future reference in case there are changes in the website/web page or in case the website goes offline
3764  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Youteme.com scam or legit ? on: August 14, 2020, 10:54:09 PM
It all looks scam. Don't waste your time and internet resources on such websites. You are better off using that time learn about bitcoin and other useful things.

I never take any websites or projects that are not original and go on copying already popular projects. For example YouTeme are trying to copy YouTube. They even go ahead and use their logo in their videos which show professionalism and means they are going nowhere except milk ignorant people who follow their platform.
3765  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Comparative table on fees among some coins. Pick up one for your need. on: August 14, 2020, 10:31:50 PM
Aside from what has been mentioned above, there's a trend that Bitcoin fees are low on the weekend. 1-5 sats might be enough to make your transaction get confirmed on the next block. There're threads about this if you need more info.
This is true for almost all blockchain networks
ETH gas price has now dropped to the range of 100 gwei, it could drop further below 100 on Saturday and Sunday. The gas price mid week was crazy. It even hit 300 Gwei at some point.

I wanted to move some ERC20 tokens but the transaction price was about $20, Crazy!!  Grin I gave up and instead made a bitcoin transaction this morning at 5 sats per byte. 1 sat per byte transactions were getting confirmed too. It shows how DeFi dapps have put the Ethereum network to a stretch.
3766  Other / Meta / Re: Is your Bitcointalk password strong enough? on: August 13, 2020, 10:38:23 PM
After my account got hacked in 2018. I learned lessons the hard way. I literally used to do every mistake most newbies would do. Use the same Email address and weak 8 letter password while registering on every shit ICO website out there until the credentials leaked from one of the websites. Someone managed to access my account and changed the password and linked email address. They would have been able to access my email address too and reset everything if it wasn't for the 2FA that was enabled in there.

That was a rude awakening for me. I had to wait for 6+ Months to get my account recovered and ever since the hack. All my different online accounts have different email address, strong different passwords and 2FA enabled where possible.

3768  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How use electrum wallet on laptop with mobile bitpay App on: August 12, 2020, 10:03:39 PM
I have never used the bitpay app but If it can allow you to generate the QR code of the address you would like to send bitcoins to then it's easy. Just Open your electrum app on the laptop and go to the send tab.

You will be able to see options on the extreme right of the pay to box [box where you are supposed to fill in your address]. Click on the white camera icon and the QR code scanner using your webcam should be able to open app.

Generate a QR code of the address you want to send bitcoins to on your Bitpay app and then directly make your smartphone face your webcam until the QR code is scanned after which the address you are supposed to use will appear in the box. Please cross-check the address again before you hit the send button.
3769  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Switchere.com – instant crypto exchange. Fiat accepted. 90% Referral Program. on: August 11, 2020, 11:51:27 PM

@OP: I just visit your site, it looks great, simple, and pretty easy to use. What I want to ask though is about the exchange rate. As I see you have 1BTC=10016.2€ when the price is ~9830€. This difference is because you include in your exchange rate the Processing fee (3.6%) and the Service fee (3.4%)?
Yeah, I made simple calculations and it seems the service fee and processing fee have an impact amount of crypto you will receive if you try to buy at the indicated exchange rate(I think the exchange rate already takes into consideration the slippage rates or that Buy and sell price gap)
3770  Economy / Lending / Re: I need some help. Long read, but anything will help. on: August 11, 2020, 10:03:55 PM
I don't know if your story is genuine or not. You and only you know the truth. If it's genuine, then it will be unfortunate for you because scammers have already spoiled people's trust here. They always come asking for no collateral loans and donations. So just be aware that nobody will send you money here for a no collateral loan esp for a member with no good reputation here.

Even reputable members can barely get a no collateral loan of 1/10th of the funds you want

Sometimes life is full of challenges but at the end of the day what matters are the most important needs like health, Food etc as we find away of getting back on our feet.
3771  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BitPay USDCoin payment no confirmation on: August 11, 2020, 08:49:18 PM
The transaction was dropped probably because your wallet didn't have enough ether to complete the whole transaction. Since USDCoin involves a number of smart contract calls (which also require a fee) your transaction was half done because the remaining Ether wasn't enough to cover the remaining parts of the smart contract transactions.

You might wanna increase the amount of Ether in your wallet to at least $20 just to be safe
3772  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't be a crypto sheep on: August 11, 2020, 08:23:25 PM
Knowledge is very powerful. It's very important for newbies to first learn about basics of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies of interest, different wallets, transaction fees, how to keep funds secure, trading basics and history of crypto price movements etc to avoid falling into traps such as scams, hacks, bad trading decisions such as FOMO leading to loss of funds.
3773  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitrue.com exchange is a scam on: August 11, 2020, 06:54:41 PM
I appreciate the response @JeromeTash. the only problem is I never engaged in arbitrage trading. At all. I was only ever doing maker trades. really basic buy low/sell high. No bots, no fancy math.

Every time I made any small withdrawals over the last months. the account would get frozen. Then it would be released after a couple days. Not this time. My guess right now is they didn't like me taking my earnings out of their system, even in incremental amounts.

I have a suspicion that they don't have the funds on-hand if you go to withdrawal a lot....my account was growing....nothing I thought too significant, but with the amount that exchanges fake volume.....I wonder if at that point they decided I was too much of a problem.

Incredibly corrupt.
So sorry bro. It makes no sense blocking someone account even on grounds of arbitraging. Trading all about one try making profit for themselves by buying low and selling high. Now if they stop arbitraging, how are people going to make money from trading?

Have they presented to you any evidence of the kind of arbitrage trades you made that led them to freeze your account? The excuse they are giving is plain stupid.
3774  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Transaction over expired wallet address on: August 11, 2020, 08:39:03 AM
You mean that expiration Date feature on electrum, right? A bitcoin address never expires. You or the person you are sending bitcoins will still receive funds in the address and be able to spend them even if they are sent after the expiration date.

The Expiration feature is used for payment request QR code so that the person or customer who's supposed to send you some BTC can not send it to you after the quoted price has expired at the set time.
3775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is Bitrue safe ? on: August 11, 2020, 08:29:29 AM

3776  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitrue.com exchange is a scam on: August 11, 2020, 07:13:25 AM
reviving this one because it looks like ive had the exact same thing happen. Bitrue has frozen my account, and wont respond to messages. I heard through an admin on telegram that they are accusing me of arbitrage trading, but thats nuts. I've never done that, have never created an api. I've just been good at market making....which you would think they would see as beneficial...like all other exchanges seem to....

Looks like they are robbing me of $$$$

if anyone sees this that had a similar problem in the past, my question would be did anyone ever have success getting their money out. Has anyone tried any other actions to hold them to account?

You are probably not alone. Arbitrage lovers a finding a problem with the exchange due to its terms of use. Sorry but with their terms and conditions very clear. There's nothing much you can do. This is why it's very important to go through the ToS before using a service

3777  Economy / Lending / Re: im looking for loan for trading capital on: August 10, 2020, 11:47:22 PM
for trust i can give you access to my trading account with all the passwords so and even my personal e-mail access  if you are older respected member here !!

or i can set up 2 factor autetification so you will have to approve only any witrwas out from account
the business without trust is impossible so i trust you you trust me !

This still won't work. We all know how crypto trading can be risky. How sure are you that you will make profits and pay back the loan in time?
This is why collateral is needed so that in case things go south, at least the lender has something to sell off to recover their funds.
3778  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Be aware of a possible new exchange SCAM - I need your opinion on: August 10, 2020, 11:35:37 PM
There is a new scam going around.
Same story here: Girl on Tinder, claming to made a lot of money with BTC after a hint from her uncle at Wallstreet in 2015.
Now she's investing in WMC (Wisdom Medical Coin) on ZG.com saying it will skyrocket (hint from her uncle)
Website of the coin: https://www.wmc-web.com/
Whitepaper: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1BZeOC18M4s2xGrZMZibyYfHrALDdPPM9/view

Is the whole website also a scam?
Just looked at the website and white paper. Do not be lied to and don't buy anything. It's just one of those shitty ICOs which will always turn into an exit scam. The want to take your valuable BTC or ETH in exchange for their Valueless ERC20 tokens  that are so easy to create from the Ethereum Network.

This is not similar to opening multiple threads but this user (greenslope) goes on posting about their exchange in different threads: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2540650;sa=showPosts
How best can this be handled?
I am thinking of reporting them to mods as spammers, but I am not sure if it's the right thing to do
