3761  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An obvious rigging of Sports. on: April 19, 2021, 08:41:40 AM
My concern is how often are riggers caught really. Unless they make obvious mistakes, it is very difficult to tell if a player, for example, missed a shot intentionally. It is just not impossible that a player underperforms in a game just because he has a bad day and even if you are suspicious it is very difficult to prove. Soccer is even more difficult in that aspect. Are these blunders? They could be on-purpose.

Blundersssss
3762  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: April 19, 2021, 08:36:03 AM
I wondered if Real players could endure such an effort and it's obvious that they can't and it will be very difficult for them to follow Barcelona and Atletico until the end of the season.
Zidane had only 13 available senior players for this match yesterday.
Zidane and his players do all they can to get total points in La Liga and a spot in semi final of Champions League. I think they can sacrifice the La Liga and spend all human resources, concentration and mentality for Champions League.

They are not in a too bad position in La Liga but focus on both can end with failures in both competitions. The Champions Leauge is hard to say but if they have to choose one, it should be Champions League not the La Liga.

3 more matches and I think Real Madrid can beat Chelsea. In the final match, they can beat PSG or Manchester City. Tough task of course but more possible than La Liga.

Agree, if I were Zidane and could choose, I would try to focus on the international competitions. Atletico de Madrid seems to be quite difficult to deal with this year and it is a team known for fighting hard for every point. International competitions are never easy but on a year like this, they help much more the finances of next year, possibly without the COVID restrictions or with a lesser version of them.
3763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devices used for Gambling on: April 19, 2021, 08:30:50 AM
...
Through this thread lets share the device thats been used by you for the purpose of gambling. My 90% of gambling activities were on Mobile devices. This has given me lots and lots of memories. Whenever I pass some region I remember the loss and the place associated with it.
...

Most people I know use their cells, and that has been pretty much the best alternative during COVID. Now that there seems to be an ease on the restrictions, some of us would like to have some short of in-person gambling. 99% of my betting was social with work colleagues raffles or friends. Now I also added a bit of on-line to the repertoire. I just find it more fun when you compete with people you know even if on-line.
3764  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Feature Do You Look for In Slot Games? on: April 19, 2021, 08:26:16 AM
I think the Jackpots are the main feature to start playing the game. I is a lot about winning the big price and all that, but after a while it is more about finding some short of logic and interaction in the game, that is, luck is always there and may be on your side during that day, but having to learn how to use advances and extra perks makes the game more fun to play.
3765  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Copper - a 5-year investment for those with no capital. on: April 17, 2021, 10:44:13 PM
It isn't trading, as you are getting the actual product for nothing, and you aren't selling. This thread was for people with no investment capital, and not for those with the money to trade.

Nope, you actually buy the product with your time, effort and using you means of transport that have a cost. So yes, it is commodities trading, even if is not intraday trading.

This is important because the market for copper sets out a basis price that is likely to be lower than the costs mentioned combined, thus this alternative income idea is most likely not going to work.
3766  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Who are big enemies? Shia Or Sunnis? Jews Or Christians? Buddhist Or Hindus? on: April 17, 2021, 10:40:29 PM
Religion is rarely the true origin of war. Even without religion, those who want conflict would find arguments to make people hate each other. If you think of it, the problem is not religion, is the people who cannot live with others that think differently.

3768  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Will vaccine passports lead to the demise of vaccines? on: April 16, 2021, 11:33:17 PM
Oh dear!

The current testing is crap, and doesn't test for immunity. People like me with strong immunity are virus killers, unlike the vaccinated with lower protection and reduced immunity. I don't fear the virus, and variants of Corona Viruses have been around all my life (78 years), and I have never had more than a sniffle. I won't be messing up my health by allowing vaccination, and those who fear the virus, should address their underlying health issues that make them vulnerable. You invest in your health, and like any investment, you should do your own research, and not listen to propagandists that have vested interests.

As usual... any serious evidence of any of your assertions? Other than that, I insist that you start kissing COVID patients to test your theories.

Crap. now that I know that you are 78 proving you wrong is no longer fun.
3769  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Will vaccine passports lead to the demise of vaccines? on: April 16, 2021, 10:27:10 AM
... Some virologists are of the opinion that as many as 95% of the population have innate immunity to the whole family of Corona viruses. ...

Any evidence please? Is this like your mucus theory? Did you go to a COVID plant without a mask to test it already?

The passports are a great idea, it will prevent people like you travel untested with people who have opted to get a vaccine to avoid killing others.
3770  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Copper - a 5-year investment for those with no capital. on: April 16, 2021, 10:19:56 AM
That´s just commodities trading. Highly cyclical and, as you put it, highly impractical unless you have the cheapest real state.

So how can you get 50 Bitcoin in exchange for a bit of electricity? I'd like to know if the window is still open.

We've got people in this forum with no money, and they are trying to get some sats by begging or wasting time with sig promotions. I just thought it might be an idea to give them some alternatives. Another points is that you should diversify, and not tie everything up in one asset.

I am going to post anyway, so if I get paid, even if it is quite a small bit, the better. For me is simply another way of getting some sats in autopilot. For what I can see, the newer campaigns do require merit and posting quality, nothing to do with the 2018 campaigns.
3771  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Why didn't any deity sign the scriptures with a divine digital signature? on: April 16, 2021, 10:06:15 AM
This depends a bit on the religion, but God in general will not show proof of existence other than miracles, which are dubious at best. A digital signature falls into that category.

Basically, either you believe or you don´t, but you are not to be given "scientific reasons" to believe in any deity. If you ask why you will normally get the standard answer: "We humans cannot understand God´s design / masterplan".

Just for the shake of the argument, you seem to be ok in math, but you would need to be also strong in Philosophy and Semiotics to understand why a document written in words cannot express unequivocally the will of a God or group of deities. In few words, language is subject to interpretation. Thus, signing off a document would not provide a single source of guidance or truth. Also, which language would God/ Gods choose?

If you would rather be "practical", you can observe around you and how the rules of what you can perceive are built. If you believe, that would be God´s signature.
3772  Other / Politics & Society / Re: #SuperStraight on: April 14, 2021, 06:23:08 PM
gender discriminatory legal protection and perks if that is needed for their safety and progress.

Perks??
How about not..

Trans are mentally ill with very real and dangerous mental health and physical health risks..
Suicide rates off the charts often due to regret, body mutilating surgeries, hormone therapies with terrible life long side effects often being used on children, and worse..

This is not something that should be celebrated and promoted as cool and popular..

In no way should those who dare to speak of these consequences be harassed and labeled as bigots, much less those who refuse to engage in relationships with them..

The propaganda is pushing this to kids as a cool and popular thing to do for attention creating an incredibly dangerous fad with often severe consequences..

Whoever protects, promotes, encourages, or enables this vary from spineless to downright sick, encouraging the destruction of lives..

...

[/quote]

Perks are needed to ccompensate man-made inequality, within reason. Trans people are as sick as everyone. Do you think you do not have any mental issue? Then, that is your first mental issue. You have your views, that is fine, just do not try to impose those views on others. Is the same  for those who think that everyone is in some way gay or that gender identity should define your life.

The bottom problem is the same with football, religion, politics,... This is about people who can learn to live with others that are different and those who can´t. And this also goes for Lesbians who hate man, gays who hate women, Muslims that hate Christians, Christians that hate everything that is not them and such a long etc...

Your first mistake is to label yourself to prove a point, which is the only reason I can think for being "super straight". Why don´t you try with "Straight Maximalist", it sounds even better.
3773  Economy / Economics / Bernard Madoff dies in prison. A 20 year long Ponzi on: April 14, 2021, 06:06:12 PM
80 years old, kidney failure, the judge did not allow him to go home to die there.

Madoff run what is considered one of the longer lasting Ponzi schemes. It lasted decades and it took with it the saving of many notable citizens, particularly those of the Jew community with whom he had close links. For example the Nobel price laureate Elie Wiesel, whose charity managed to lose in excess of 15M. And all these institutions...

It is amazing how long a Ponzi may last.

Quote
Exceptional returns
Mr Madoff, the son of European immigrants who grew up in New York, set up his eponymous firm Bernard L Madoff Investment Securities in 1960.

The company became one of the largest market-makers - matching buyers and sellers of stocks - and Mr Madoff served as chairman of the Nasdaq stock exchange.

The firm was investigated eight times by the US Securities and Exchange Commission because it made exceptional returns.

But it was the global recession which effectively prompted Mr Madoff's demise as investors, hit by the downturn, tried to withdraw about $7bn from his funds and he could not find the money to cover it.

3774  Economy / Economics / Coinbase has started trading in NASDAQ minutes ago on: April 14, 2021, 05:46:23 PM
Starting price of nearly 400USD well above the expectations, values Coinbase above 100B. This is nearly double the indicative price of 250 setout just a week ago. It is obviously not a coincidence that bitcoin has an ATH just a day ago is it?

The listing took place a bit later than expected and at a much higher price. Ticker COIN.

Edited: 100B not 100M. At close it was around 85B.

3776  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: April 13, 2021, 10:47:59 AM
Very interesting news from the tennis world: ''Toni Nadal, the uncle and former coach of 20-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal, has joined the coaching team of Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime.''
''Uncle Toni'' has practically coached Nadal from the very beginning of his tennis career until 2017 and I'm really surprised that he will now be coaching another tennis player.
Can he create a new tennis champion?

Source: https://www.bbc.com/sport/tennis/56681542

Sound like good news for Felix. There is something to be said for someone able to keep Nadal playing at such a high level for such a long time. I wish I could buy stocks of players because I feel that it is not only about knowing about tennis and PE training, it is a lot about making sure the athlete is able to compete in the long term with minimum injuries. Nadal has been having issues with injuries yes, but not as much as it could be expected from such a level of competition.
3777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers - How do you use your signature campaign earnings? on: April 13, 2021, 10:43:18 AM
Who are you talking about exactly? Many promoters like Stake are paying their bounties directly into the participant accounts, on their own platform, that means they aren't paying any transaction fees to send their payouts. High transaction fees are a big issue for BTC and ETH because it prevents a comfortable and easy access to user funds.
A few casinos make direct payments on their platforms, but others still send payments to users' personal BTC addresses. Whatever, no matter how you get your payment, there's still a small fee to take it anywhere and do anything. Do you just take the payment and keep it there forever?
Some people prefer their payment in that way because they are going to gamble their coins anyway so by receiving their payments directly on to their casino wallet they save themselves the fees and they can gable for a longer period of time, however for those that want to get their coins out of the casino this means an additional expense, but if you use that address as your personal wallet and send payments from it then you can save yourself some fees as you are not transferring those coins to your wallet and then pay for what you want.
Not everyone is a gambler where they do make use of their signature campaign when the time they do received out their signature campaign payment.

Just like me I do accumulate those pays for some weeks before making some withdrawal because most of them do almost ask out $10 when you do tend to make a withdrawal
which it isn't really worth at all.So better pay in one go.

Last, its not ideal to make it as your main wallet but making it as a temporary then it isn't a bad idea after all.
I disagree with you, most of people advertising gambling sites are gamblers because those campaigns usually ask to post numerous messages in the gambling section, then it would mean those people are spammers... Don't you think so?

You do not need to be a gamble to post in this section, there are many topics that do not require you to gamble, however it would not feel honest to me if I did not at least do some form of gambling. In my case I like Poker, which I do not exactly consider gambling but rather a game of wits. Of course the house takes a cut, they are organising and yes, luck plays a part on it, but overall is quite a hard and perhaps mathematical challenge. Sometimes I also indulge in football betting.

I would say that I am not a spammer, as I intend to contribute in some way to every discussion I take part it.
3778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fine line between market investment and sports gambling on: April 13, 2021, 10:37:33 AM

In my opinion, there is a significant difference between gambling and investing.

Gambling is a zero-sum game.  One player wins, the other loses.  Moreover, as a rule, the organizer of the gambling game has a competitive advantage in the game.

Investing is always a winning strategy.  Investment is the investor's bet on progress.  The modern financial system is inflationary.  In monetary terms, the capitalization of all global companies is constantly growing.

The price of one individual share may fall, but stock indices are showing constant growth.

Under these conditions, a patient investor is guaranteed to make a profit.

There are many investments that are also a zero sum game - such as binary options in which for one party to win, the other has to loose necessarily, so that is not a good criteria to discriminate. Investing is not always a wining strategy - there is plenty of money and value to be lost and it is indeed lost everyday since there are companies that go to zero all over. In fact, most do go to zero in the first few years.

Lastly, the organisers of the market usually have built-in advantages, although I admit that small investors do have other advantages that they can use, such as being able to invest in illiquid and small assets.
3779  Economy / Gambling discussion / Do you limit your gambling time? on: April 13, 2021, 10:33:12 AM
This is about how do you make sure that you are gambling in full control. There are many people who are easily brought into gambling beyond fun and that is a problem for them and also for the gambling industry, because it is for them that there are limitations in many countries.

Do you actually...
- Have a weekly budget to play and do not ever go over it?
- Not ever get in debt for gambling?
- Have an allocated time for gambling and never exceed it?
- Gamble only socially with friends of relatives?
- Have someone helping you control your gambling?
3780  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You won today, but then you will lose often on: April 13, 2021, 10:30:03 AM
Hello to all! Another topic about casinos and games. I started playing at THIS CASINO quite often. At the very beginning I thought I would just play in the evening, but one evening turned into a constant game during the day. On the first deposit, I was lucky and I took out a little, it was x3 of my deposit and I was happy. Recently, I just started making stupid deposits and trying to win something and I understand that this is self-deception, but I cannot stop and make more and more deposits. I decided to make the 1st level of VIP, but for this I need to make a turnover of 10k dollars, but I am a player with low stakes and this is difficult for me to do. You seem to understand everything that you will lose, but you go to play again. How to get rid of gambling addiction?

[mod note: removed referral link]

It is mostly about your conception of life and what triggers your adrenaline and your dopamine. It is said that the worst thing that can happen to a gambling addict is actually winning in the first bets because some people just get a strong push from wins and do not feel much pain when loosing, thus they are easily trapped into playing beyond their initial intentions.

You have to be able to recognise that in yourself. In my case, I know that there are certain videogames to which I can easily play more time than I should to have a life balance so I just either avoid these or I tell someone to tell me to stop after, for example, and hour of play. You may be able to try that with gambling.
