The uptrend has been jinxed.  I blame this thread!  Lolol.  Cheesy  ...  Anyway, does anybody know any news or what’s going on or is it just the trading god wanting to torture us again.  Everything is red atm..  Except for of few alts which will be red soon.

Edit:  Open BTC chart and listen to this:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tFWy17DCqBo

^  But the spotlight has always been pointed at BTC...  To a fault.  Everytime some of these whales decide to sell down BTC, prolly to shake off weak hands, it drags the whole market down with it.  This should change.  A flippening should happen between BTC and ETH, taking the whole alt market up.  So if some people want to sell down BTC, it can go down alone.
3763  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC Go for Another All Time High This Year? on: September 07, 2021, 12:26:41 PM
Aaand just as I was getting more optimistic some whale pulls of this shit and takes one huge dump on the BTC market, dragging everything else down with it.  Seriously now...  Ethereum should decouple from BTC and take everything up with it.

Edit:  I’m pretty sure lots of people are sick of BTC’s influence on the market.

^  I thought that was gonna be this weekend.  Had to check the date in the calender.  Lol.  But at least there’s football and F1.  I’m always looking forward in getting a chance to hit that 10k grand prize for free in FJ’s Majestic 7 promo.

This was a great win for Derek Brunson just like I expected, it was pure gift from bookies with that odds, and I was even happier getting double win promotion for betting on Stake. Smiley
I think that start of this fight night was young UK fighter Paddy Pimblett with KO win in first round against Luigi Vendramini.
This week we are taking a break from UFC but Dana's White Contender Series keeps rolling gout with new fights and potentially new UFC fighters.

Vegas-38 "Darren Till vs. Derek Brunson" very exciting match, By winning this match Derek Brunson won five matches in a row. He also won the title of the second-highest finishes in the history of the UFC's middleweight division. I am just amazed that He is preceded only by Anderson Silva.

In "Paddy Pimblett vs Luigi Vendramini", You know, I was sure that Paddy Pimblett would win this match and so it happened. In the first round, Paddy Pimblett won by knockout. Cheesy

There are two matches up the ladder for him that could be interesting, Robert Whitaker which is going to be a rematch and Israel Adesanya, another rematch.  But I guess he should go against either Cannonier or prolly Paulo Costa first...  Two intruiging matches.

^  Come to think of it, EIP 1559 could be VB’s master plan to start competing with BTC’s the store of value meme.  So maybe a couple more years and we see ETH gain more market cap than BTC or lose less in market cap than BTC.  I’m also seeing more and more people dropping BTC for ETH.
3766  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC Go for Another All Time High This Year? on: September 06, 2021, 04:06:10 PM
I feel like there’s another shake off coming to 50k before breaking out of 60k.  And 40k to 50k took a tad over one month.  50k to 60k could be waaay shorter than that.  Like a week?  A couple of weeks?  Dunno..  But it’s gonna be shorter.
3767  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2021/2022 on: September 06, 2021, 03:27:03 PM
It wasn’t hype.  They were talking and City really wanted to have him.  But then no one would budge over the 25m transfer fee.

Overall it’s still good for City to maintain their wage bill and so they can bid for Haaland or maybe Kane again next summer..  Pretty sure a lot of people will be so annoyed when Pep signs either of them.  Lol.  Cheesy
I think Manchester United saved manchester City because the wage required to sign Ronaldo would have meant they would have needed to sell before they could bid for Kane or Haaland. Manchester United swooping in to steal the transfer might be their downfall and the entire league next year if Manchester City make a move for Kane or Haaland. I think it will be Haaland because he will be playing for longer than Kane because of his age and I think he suits Manchester City the most. They need a striker that can run in behind and make space against teams that sit back I think Haaland is more effective than that than Kane.

More like United saved City from the boos.  Lol.  Ronaldo would somewhat  be an unpopular signing.  Lots of supporters will be hurt.  And I don’t think it would be United’s downfall.  If anything, I think Ronaldo is a boost for their campaign.

Yeah after failing to sign Kane, I think they’re going for Haaland next summer.  BVB should sell by then.

Who is following Dana's contender series? If you have picks, please drop some insights. I just felt bored because the next fight night will be happening in two weeks Grin

~
I don't know how his career will go from here on, but I wouldn't completely count him out just yet.
No doubt he still has the power and the striking skills to KO anyone. Maybe he should try to evolve his game? I think he still has time to develop a more well-rounded style.

No idea who these guys are but you could do a tape study thru MMA Core and check the measurables and their records at Tapology.  I tend to trust the bookies lines here and avoid looking for value since they have more info than the general public with these obscure fighters.  So what I’d do is parlay the huge favorites.

Yeah, not the most exciting race this season, but still, better than Belgium GP Cheesy. Well deserved Verstappen win at home track. Orange army made amazing atmosphere there. All drivers outside Top 3 where lapped by race winner - what a dominance.
Poor Bottas, Mercedes didn't even let him to make fastest lap. Great result for Perez - P8 after start from pitlane. 15th place for Kubica is good result, considering that he didn't raced in F1 for few years.
And despite that track is difficult to overtake, I still liked Zandvoor with these banked turns.
Now we're moving to Monza.

Actually yeah..  Alonso’s overtake at the first parts of the race, on the banked turn was cool.  He was there at the left side behind Ocon and some traffic then found some space going to the right side then accelerated and passed Ocon and prolly another car.  Not sure...

Edit:  I think the best bet for the race was Perez points finish.  That line should be a good 2.50.
3770  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: September 05, 2021, 07:41:46 PM
The only bet that I made was the Jack Shore match over 2.5 rounds.  Lol.  Martinez vs Rojo was cancelled and I was gonna live bet Spivak if it went past R1..  I leaned Brunson but I didn’t pull the trigger.  But congrats Welsh!

And I feel bad for Till.  There were three fighters from Liverpool in this event.  He’s the only guy who didn’t win.

I kinda like Aspinal now.  He’s one of the realest people in the roster.  Watch his post fight press conference.

^  Yup..  The race is uneventful and very boring tbh.  I stopped watching around lap 63 and started watching UFC replays.  Lol.  The Belgian GP would’ve been the fun one as the track allows more overtaking than the average number per race.

Italy next weekend.  Let’s hope for a more exciting race.  Cheesy
3772  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2021/2022 on: September 04, 2021, 04:29:21 PM
Was a deal ever agreed between Manchester City and Ronaldo? I think it was all hype because he would not be able to make the switch from the red to blue of Manchester. Regardless, he has ended up at Manchester United again and the team will be challenging for the Champions League and the Premier League alongside Chelsea and Manchester City.

Ronaldo wasn’t going to City anyway cos the club was not willing to pay the 25m EUR, or is it GBP transfer fee.  City wanted to acquire him on a free transfer since City has this policy not to spend on older players.  But he would’ve been an awesome signing for City...  City hasn’t had a 20+ goal goal scorer since Aguero 2018/19.
I'm not sure on the specifics other than Ronaldo had agreed a contract with Manchester City, but the transfer fee was getting in the way. Though, that's probably Juventus playing hard ball because they know how much money Manchester City have at their disposal.

That Aguero in 2018/19 was also injured for a big period of that season I believe. A proper striker could absolutely dominate, but for some reason they haven't been able to sign one. I thought despite how good Aguero was, he needed replacing a long time ago due to his frequent injuries.

It wasn’t hype.  They were talking and City really wanted to have him.  But then no one would budge over the 25m transfer fee.

In the end, Hamilton managed to recover the gap but it was not enough to take the pole position.
Perez is such a mediocre driver he reminds me about Bottas.

As often happen Gasly shines in qualy, he deserved the spot in RedBull over Perez imho.

Bottas is at least very consistent in being Merc’s no. 2 driver and with the points accumulation at every GP.  Perez is just not reliable enough for Red Bull to get the constructor’s trophy.  And he recently signed a new contract.  Lol.  But I guess there’s a performance clause in there so that Helmut Marko can kick him out.  Cheesy

Derek Brunson by wrestle fuck basically. That's my prediction anyway. I see it going similar to how Brunson, and Holland went. Except Till will probably at least put in some effort. The shore fight is probably the one I'm looking forward to the most, but I think the main event will probably be a snooze fest. I'll put my predictions up later tonight, but at the moment here's my thoughts.

Shore by points
Derek Brunson by points
Tom Aspinal by points
Martinez vs Rojo not going the distance.

I'm hoping that Tom Aspinal proves some of the doubters wrong by winning a decision. It'll be nice to see him display that he can do it. Shore I'm going with because of the Welsh connection, but I genuinely believe it'll be a very close point decision going either way.

Martinez vs Rojo got cancelled.  Martinez had a really bad weight cut and wouldn’t be able to fight.

And I think if you’re going to pick Aspinall it’s better to take him inside the distance.  Matches he’s won end early and his loses all ended with a finish.

There are rumors swirling around that Aston Martin wants to drop Vettel and are currently in talks with Alonso to replace him.  But why?  Vettel has been out performing Stroll at almost every GP this season.

I hope Vettel goes to Williams then.  They’re the better project going forward to 2022 and beyond anyway.

Quali results.  Hamilton is really fast in this track too.  Last quali lap was very close to Verstappen’s.  I feel like the first couple of laps in his rwce could be somewhat the same to the first couple of laps of the British GP.

I voted City but pre Ronaldo I think Chelsea is City’s strongest rival for the season.  Post Ronaldo...?  It’s close imho.  The ‘scene’ has changed with him around and United has like suddenly catapulted themselves to be lesser than the 6 to 1 underdogs they are to win the league.  The only thing holding them back rn is their manager.  Again...  imho.
He'll guarantee goals definitely, however aside from that I don't think Manchester United will be that much better off. They'll get top 4, but I don't think he'll catapult them to the top. Chelsea, and Manchester City have the overall better teams. Personally, I think Chelsea are the title favourites this season, with the better squad when considering depth. For starting eleven, then Manchester City probably still has the strongest team.

Got to remember that Manchester United didn't buy Ronaldo after careful consideration, it was more of a impulse buy because they didn't want to see him going to Manchester City. Now Ronaldo in that Manchester City squad would have been much more concerning, but Manchester United if you've watched any of their games still look quite fragile in a number of areas.

I don't think the market is about Bitcoin and Altcoins, it more now about projects with VC's with huge pocket to pump their bags, look at the two projects with huge pump after this correction, SOL and AXies and look at the VCs behind both you will understand that they are protecting their investment and suck people in, though both are very good projects

Uuuh k.  But I think I’ve been in the space throwing money around these things long enough to know what I’m talk about?  When BTC sneezes, everything else catches a cold.  Not good.  I really think a decoupling has to happen sooner or later.  Even a flippening..  just to show BTC isn’t in control anymore.

But looking at the market now, it looks like BTC doesn’t wanna be left behind.  Lol.

I got 5 goal scorers back to back for match day 2 and 3.  I’m kicking myself for the last one cos my first  guess was Toney but changed it to Ings and the other one I always pick Salah if they’re playing at homebut then changed it to Lukaku.  Sad(((
Same here, kicking myself for not doing more this week. This was very winnable combination and I feel like we will not have a job this easy any time soon. If ever  Cool

When you compare it to that win from week 1...hell I would not get that one correct even with 100 tries while this one feels like slam dunk.

Lol yeah..  But there will be more winnable combo of matches coming tho.  It’s just the third match day...  32 more match days to go!  Grin  And I’m really surprised I’ve done well picking a majority of winners.  Maybe I should start playing the goal scoring prop market.  Lol.

Anyway, FJ..  You don’t have Raphinia included in Leeds United’s roster.  Please fix, thanks.  Smiley

With Russell going to Merc although there’s no official confirmation from the team yet...  Things are going to get really interesting with them at 2022 if Hamilton doesn’t get his 8th driver championshp, breaking Schumacher’s record.  Wink  That’s going to be another hard season, competing vs Russell and at the final year of his contract.  He may extend.  Wolff is a genius.  Lol.

Next year it won't be as easy for Hamilton with Russell as it was with Bottas, I don't think Russell will be the clear number 2, basically he is being built up as Hamilton's successor, all the other big teams already have their young drivers for the future.

Even Verstappen has already talked about that he thinks Hamilton will no longer have it so easy. But will it be like Hamilton vs. Rosberg for Mercedes?

https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/russell-at-mercedes-would-make-things-difficult-for-hamilton-verstappen/6658797/

I’m not really sure if it’s going to be like Hamilton vs Rosberg but I’m pretty sure it’s going to make Hamilton a tad more insecure with his place in the team if he doesn’t win the driver’s championship this season.

Maybe Toto Wolff is using RBR’s formula to determine who driver no. 1 is.  Webber, Vettel.  Vettel, Ricciardo.  Ricciardo, Verstappen...  It’s survival of the fittest.
