3761  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How is tax calculated on crypto currency conversions? (general question) on: February 13, 2021, 12:28:30 AM
I always thought they only tax your gains as you are cashing out back to fiat and not the crypto to crypto trade profits and losses but well who knows, it could depend on the country's taxation laws too.

cointracker.io claim they can accurately calculate one's crypto tax but i advice before using them do some reading about what's supposed to be taxable and not taxable

3762  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Leverage tokens bull bear question on: February 12, 2021, 11:47:14 PM
Nope, that's not how Leveraged tokens work. Remember the Bitcoin price will be moving up and down so the leveraged tokens will increase or decrease the futures position by a process know as rebalancing
Secondly, there will be periodic funding fee which will be deducted from you postion. So imagine how much fee you will incur over all that period of time. So there is no way you are going to make $144, 000 but keeping an open bull position for that long

I think you need to read more about leveraged tokens, watch videos and know how they work or else you might end up losing money like most traders did when they first came to limelight in crypto trading.

3763  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cheapest on: February 12, 2021, 10:34:45 PM
There's nothing like "Cheapest" or "lowest" price especially if you are dealing with a reputable exchange with good trading volume and crypto in general. Bitcoin and other crypto prices are always changing so "Cheap" or "expensive" doesn't really have meaning here.

For example last year $10K per Bitcoin seemed "expensive" but today when Bitcoin is $45K+ suddenly $10 is so cheap per BTC. I hope you are getting my point.

There are so many exchanges that offer the option to buy through credit card such as Binance, coinbase, coinmama etc
You can also check more on Bestchange.com
3764  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Forget about exchanger search! Use BestChange! on: February 11, 2021, 11:50:48 PM
Hey BestChange team, if you can please answer this question.

I noticed there are two BestChange apps found in Google store, I am not sure if any of them are safe for use and I think this should be clarified here.
First app states that it has nothing  to do with BestChange.com and it does not take any responsibility for the data provided.
Second app is made by some SpectreTeam, and both of this applications have over 10000 installs so far.

Thanks

The Apps  have actually been on Google Play for sometime though they were not created by the Best Change team.
- First app - Released on 12th - Jan - 2019
- Second app - Released on 28th - November  - 2018

I tried checking out their reviews, but there's nothing that I could read except  for only one review which is sort of weird.
3765  Economy / Lending / Re: Need a loan on: February 11, 2021, 11:06:38 PM
These people haven't reached out to me for a long time, and I am the only person in the world who has experienced what's life like with 0 human connection.
Maybe you should start making good friends. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to be able to do so.

And because I'm very working on endfb.com I have a shit ton of enemies who have gone as far as closing my bank account and drawing the balance into negative corruptly, as well as trying to give me criminal record for nothing and even cancelling my flight
Like I said, please make friends not enemies or else you are fucked!

I don't need much at all because Ive been sleeping outside for over half a year and use a portable solar panel.
I need 5€ to run Facebook adds( huge return expected), I need 3€ a day to buy food.
Quite surprising that you still have that portable solar panel, mobile/phone or computer and can afford Internet whilst your stomach is empty  Shocked

I'm not much of gambler but I'm feeling like winning with an edge on holdem.( Can live without it )
You can't gamble if you are broke  Grin
3766  Economy / Exchanges / Re: coinexchange.io is closing, remove you founds! on: February 11, 2021, 10:32:12 PM
Just tried logging in to coinex.io / coinexchange.io
And realized they don't exist anymore.
I never got any memo. Because they never sent me one.
If anyone knows how to contact them, please get in touch with me.
I would like my crypto back.

Unfortunately that money is gone since they left no channels to contact support or withdraw the funds. There was a period where peope where allowed to withdraw their funds but it wasn't long enough.

You have always been advised never to leave you crypto assets in exchanges for a long time. This is one of the reasons why.
3767  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC cash on: February 10, 2021, 10:44:50 PM
I think you're want to hide your privacy, so the best choice is using P2P platform (e.g. bisq, hodl hodl, localbitcoins) and use Bitcoin mixer (e.g. Chipmixer) it will break the tails of your transaction, you'll stay anonymously.
Localbitcoins might not be a good choice since it's a custodial p2p exchanges. They can easily flag off OP's account due to"suspicious transactions" and block his funds and start asking for the proof of the source of Bitcoins. Now you don't want to be in the situation even if you have your Bitcoin stash from 2011.

Bisq, Localcryptos, HodlHodl would be a good choice

@Lucius talks about selling those bitcoins for cash, It's a very good option even for noncustodial p2p platforms as it will eliminate any third party like bank from questioning your source of funds, but the challenge is getting that one trustworthy trader from your country who you can meet to sell off your Bitcoins worth lots of cash.
I have heard stories of bitcoin sellers getting robbed when it comes to bitcoin for cash trades. So be very careful.
3768  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Binance account, I’m in US, can’t get into old account to transfer or withdraw on: February 10, 2021, 01:43:11 PM
I did not pull my funds from Binance.com and can no longer access them.
This is one of the reasons it has always been emphasized here. Never use your exchange's account as a wallet to key your crypto long term. Anything can happen so quick when It comes to crypto trading platforms.
- They can get seized by authorities
- They can shutdown any day
- They can get hacked
- They can just lock up your funds for no good reason

I went online to get help, but could not find a phone number or a way to do this.
There's an option to open a support ticket on the site. I don't think there's a phone number for that.

I try to sign into the binance.com site, but the verification wants me to blink my eyes or shake my head. After doing it, I get a message saying the validation failed.
Binance.com is supposed to be used by US Citizens anymore that's why the verification failed. Try your luck with their customer support.
3769  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Exchanges' Trading Fees on: February 09, 2021, 11:53:11 PM
0.5% is so high a fee. I wouldn't use such an exchange to carry out day trading.
There are a number of sites which provide aggregate information of fees in an exchange (Trading and withdrawal) and help you make a comparison and see exchanges with the most pocket friendly fees.

Check out this blog by https://www.cointracker.io/blog/2019-crypto-exchange-fee-comparison. The information was last updated on January 1, 2021, that should be good enough since it wasn't so long ago
Another one is https://www.cryptowisser.com/exchanges
3770  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto RADAR on: February 09, 2021, 11:37:00 PM
1. Your stats see to be lagging. For example the 24hour price change for SFP/USDT is now down to 140%, your site is still showing 1,353% which doesn't seem live to me as that percentage was of a day before.

2.  Add a column for the live price of the token if possible

3. Night mode would be cool

4. Add ranks of losers in the last 24 hours as well. This could be good to track coin movements
3771  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Journey : Doubling my BTC investment on: February 09, 2021, 10:59:45 PM
Congrations @philanthropist67. I know the feeling of making some nice profits from BTC especially when you are just a beginner  Smiley
If there's one thing I have learnt over the past years I have known Bitcoin, it's to have some spare money to buy those Bitcoin dips, when many are terrified and trying to exit the market. A Perfect example was that dip that happened last year when the Bitcoin price reached around 4,000 USD. Someone could easily own 3-4 bitcoins at that time
3772  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Trading app recommendations please. on: February 09, 2021, 10:43:57 PM
Haven't you try Bitforex or Probit exchange try this two, because yesterday form these two platform I made a transactions
via XRP into my local exchange here in my country and it was still good and successfully transferred my balance. In this platform too
XRP remain tradeable to everyone and so far no further announcement about Ripple.
If you haven't had you account locked by Bitforex, yet then you are lucky. I suggest you withdraw all your funds and keep off that exchange. I have seen so many complaints about them. Just try and search "bitforex scam" on google and see how many scam accusations come up.

They are also involved in lots of other dubious activities like wash trading and list scam ICOs/IEOs. I would also avoid recommending other people to use it.
3773  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Trading app recommendations please. on: February 09, 2021, 09:50:02 PM
What you are trying to buy using the XRP matters a lot.
I just checked my Kucoin account and the minimum trade limit for XRP/USDT pair is 0.1, but the downside is that the withdrawal fee for USDT (all ERC20, TRC20, EOS, ASA tokens) is worth $20   Roll Eyes
So withdrawing directly from Kucoin is not an option. Depending on what country you come from, you could try using their p2p exchange provided there is a trader from your country who can accept a low limit of $7 worth of USDT for fiat.
3774  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BYBIT TRADE on: February 09, 2021, 08:54:52 PM
How much are the funding rates on bybit?

Noticed my wallet balance is going down, this must be the fees....
The funding rates keep changing every 8 hours, so the value is not permanent. You should be able to see the current funding rate in percentage and  count down to the next funding rate near the order book.

As for the trading fees this is how Bybit charges

Maker (Limit orders) - Fee: -0.025% (Yes they pay you 0.025% if your limit order gets filled)

Taker (market orders) -  Fee: 0.075%
Check this blog for guidance on their fees:
- https://blog.bybit.com/learn/what-is-the-funding-fee
3775  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BYBIT TRADE on: February 09, 2021, 03:37:05 PM
Thanks very much for your reply. Im planning on keeping the position open for atleast 1-2 weeks.
You can, especially if the market is trending in a give direction depending on the call in your position. If the market is not trending then you might end up making losses due to funding rates. I have been there before  Wink

When risking your assets, make sure there is a possibility of getting good profit out of it. It would make no sense opening up a risky position, yet you end up making a profit of less than 2% of your total portfolio after a long wait of 2 weeks.
3776  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Anyone was on bitco.in? on: February 08, 2021, 11:57:59 PM
I'm not sure about it. As far as I know, you can't add phone number on Freebitco.in for 2FA. They are using Google 2FA if I'm not mistaken.
So, OP probably is really referring to Bitco.in.
I was relating it to his posting history. Right from the time he registered in this forum in 2017 OP was much interested in freebitco.in In 2018, he talked nothing about Freebitco.in but then came back in 2019 to ask the exact question he has asked today - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5159771.msg51643555#msg51643555. He's probably mistaking bitco.in as freebitco.in.

Someone suggested him to contact Bitco.in mods but i don't think that's what he was looking for. He also talked about depositing some $200 in his account which I don't think is possible in a forum like bitco.in

I wish making a new account is not painful as I did had about $200 deposited in the account i could not login. And that was in 2018. I left the website to focus on my job when I was finally hired. I just read news of how much it is now Sad

The reset 2FA settings had choices of using a secret key (which was written in the novel that I now could not find), sending text to the phone number (which somewhat the number "0" was missing) and if the phone number is not available, the last procedure takes 8 days of processing.
3777  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin gold from old BTC? on: February 08, 2021, 11:39:53 PM
Use this tool: http://www.findmycoins.ninja
But it won't work if the address has more than 20 transaction.

When I checked the address you posted, I can see the Bitcoin Gold fork, but it's just only worth $1.2, not worth the risking the 0.02016502 BTC / 781.98 USD in there right now.

3778  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Issue to pay an address on: February 08, 2021, 11:10:28 PM
I can also confirm that the address is invalid. I have tried checking it with 4 different software wallets, and they all show the invalid address format error. Chances are very high that he missed a digit or let while trying to copy for you the address. Tell him to get you another one.
3779  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain swap option on: February 08, 2021, 10:51:54 PM
if I send my btc to any other place I'm still losing 30$, if I lower the fee down to 20sat/byte I lose 20$...
Yeah, bitcoin fee is high right now, but I don't think It can go up to $20 at 20 sats/byte unless if of course your transaction has more than one input (check your address on a block explorer and see how many incoming transactions are there)

The best time to do this transfer was probably Sunday. Last night, I spent only $0.52 at a fee rate of 7 sats per byte. My transaction had only 1 input though. So you have 2 options, either wait till the fee rate drops or just lose all that money in fees.
3780  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain swap option on: February 08, 2021, 10:34:50 PM
1. What's the verification level of your account?
2. Have you ever swapped through the account before?
3. The Bitcoin fees are just largely estimates, so you may find that, even with a drop in the Bitcoin network fees, Blockchain.com may continue to levy a high transaction fee for a couple of more days.

First of all the fees are hidden when you are exchanging which I find unpleasant.

Suggestion:

Why not just send the Bitcoin to any good exchange like Kucoin, Binance,... Buy your BCH and then transfer It out to an address of your choice? You will spend a lot less on fees. Swap services are so expensive and exploitative.
