3761  Other / Meta / Re: How to deal with bumping via fake conversation? on: October 10, 2018, 11:39:05 AM
All these topics are now like ghost towns, completely abandoned. I'll definitely visit those projects. Bumping bots go hand in hand with scam projects. Let's see if I can find something.

but a couple of the bump-bots logged in this morning around 8AM my time (UTC-4) but haven't posted.

Accounts mentioned above are banned now, they can still log in but cannot do anything else.

As far as I know, these services are quite profitable, and even if they get banned, they will come back as long as someone is willing to pay for their scammy project to be shilled.

So it looks like submitting at least 2 plagiarism reports per user did the trick

Sticky worthy.
3762  Other / Meta / Re: As the spammers seem to of started to find meta... on: October 09, 2018, 02:51:13 PM
I am, however, in favor of removing signatures from everything below Member rank, requiring 10 merits (or perhaps more) to display a signature.
but
the word is spreading that Meta is the place to go to earn merits.

Remember the week in which new requirements were introduced by theymos, how many merit topics were created. How many users complaining that they can't wear their signatures can not therefore work, followed by dozens of unnecessary and repetitive topics and guides, all of which in a desperate attempt to get a single merit.

Now imagine that there is a new requirement of 10 merits to wear a signature, and multiply all this garbage x10 for an extended period of time. How does that sound?  Grin Cry

Question is...are we ready for what will inevitably become the biggest shitstorm in the history of bitcointalk...
3763  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to encourage discussions in ANN thread? on: October 09, 2018, 10:55:21 AM
because many bitcointalk users are interested in new ICOs

Let me correct you, the users of Bitcointalk are fed up with ICOs. I won't be wrong if I say that only third world bounty spammers are interested in such projects.

Most of the content on these topics is absolutely meaningless/rubbish and cannot and should not be taken as feedback.
3764  Other / Meta / Re: Can anyone help me? on: October 09, 2018, 10:33:18 AM
Most likely a purchased account, that was previously negged for defaulting a loan and being an alt of someone else.

I would reject the possibility that he didn't know about the copy/paste, because that was about two weeks ago, he also knew where to look.
where?
I'm not in the list!
Bitcoin Forum > Other > Meta > Report plagiarism (copy/pasting) here. Calling for Mod action: please permban

He doesn't seem to be very upset about it, apparently he managed to raise at least two of his alt accounts to a member rank, could very well be three.

Both accounts were created the same day and received 10 merits within 1 minute, and their passwords were also changed within one day of April.
kovaa accidentally woke up the same month and changed his password too. God knows how many others alts are connected here.

Not only that, but the project that the OP is advertising for is one of several using a shilling/bumping service: Neluns - p179. So, looks like they hired the right quality user for their campaign.  Grin

Hey, don't you dare FUD Neluns, they have raised 1 billion dollars in their ICO.   Shocked haha

This is precisely 1 billion 95 thousand dollars which they have raised in their ICO and its finishing after 9 hours from the time of posting this topic.
3765  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: October 08, 2018, 10:18:04 AM
I hate it when NBA players brawl.

This ain't no brawl Grin. Just gently pushing each other. Days of real fights/brawls are long gone. Ain't no Charles Oakleys' no more, all there is left are fake tough guys, and let me use Jalen Roses' reference: "Ho ho hold me back" type of plays. lol

what Aines did with holding JR's arm like that

That's an interesting way to spell Aron Baynes name. Cool
Actually, there's more to it...if you guys remember in 15' Olynyk dislocated Kevin Love's shoulder by locking his arm the same way. Celtics are probably still salty about what happened in May. hah
3766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: October 07, 2018, 08:10:56 PM
He won't be any better than an average player in the league imo

I can't say if he'll be a superstar in the league, but I'm pretty positive that he'll be more than an average player.

In today's positionless basketball, Luca can easily fill out different spots on floor 1 through 4, for his size he has a great ball handling.

Don't forget that he has experience playing v grown man over the past few years, any way you look at it, it's better than college basketball.
3767  Other / Archival / Re: Question About Bounty and KYC??? on: October 07, 2018, 04:55:02 PM
Not sure about you, but I personally don't think it's worth the risk.
I'm with you on this, it's not worth it for a little money to give your personal data/information to strangers on the Internet, doesn't really make any sense. You can end up with your ID being sold on the black market and get yourself in a real trouble.

The potential damages you may incur are far greater than what you can earn/win. Still up to you though...
3768  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CyberPay Network - suspicious ICO/very likely SCAM on: October 07, 2018, 04:31:14 PM
Good find OP.

This is definitely a scam project, team members probably have no Cyberpay affiliation. To add to your findings, they seem to have completely ripped a project called Bittrace and copied almost everything. Here are a few examples :

Here is cyberpay account in case they come back with a new ANN or Bounty.
3769  Economy / Economics / Re: Neluns with 1 billion raised in ICO - Who believes that ? on: October 07, 2018, 01:52:36 PM
Around $150,000 came into the smart contract during ICO from ETH contributors
That's what I found too, a few hundred millions short of 1 billion. lol

Domain is whois privacy protected.
Their website is 4 months old, and only one year is paid. Guess they don't have any other plans past ICO  Grin

I don't know if you are only boasting, misleading us or what.

Likely a bounty hunter who hopes to be paid and not left dry behind.

We also have a few recently made newbie accounts vouching for them.  Cool

3770  Other / Meta / Re: How to deal with bumping via fake conversation? on: October 07, 2018, 01:23:42 PM
I have been doing something like that recently. Reporting bots for plagiarism. If I remember correctly had around and over 100 good reports (100 accuracy).
The results I got were different, one part of these 100 accounts was immediately banned, one part after a week or two, and a small part is still active shilling scam projects. All accounts I reported was with just one example of plagiarism. (usual one-liner with 50/60 characters)

I wasn't happy with the results, so I decided to do a little experiment :

1. Reported one account as I gave more than one example of plagiarism, it was either 3 or 4. The account was banned almost immediately.
2. The other, I only had one report again, but this time someone else helped me as he also reported the same post. The account was gone right away.

Basically, if you can give more than one example of a copy/paste post or someone else/several people report the same post with you ...you'll get them banned, that's for sure.

Don't forget mods are human after all.  Grin
3771  Economy / Economics / Re: Neluns with 1 billion raised in ICO - Who believes that ? on: October 06, 2018, 11:07:06 PM
I cant imagine any ICO making that much fund raiser in their ICO itself. This is precisely 1 billion 95 thousand dollars
Mind if you share the source of your information because it does sound unbelievable and likely these numbers are inaccurate.

Is this something breath taking for you guys ? Do you guys think that NLS (Neluns) will come straight into Top 10 coins after they get listed this month ?
I never heard about them before, I didn't see anyone shill them either (bots spamming their ann and empty threads on reddit are disqualified lol) => they didn't raise shit => Top 10 in another life and dimension.

3772  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Thebikecoin - possible scam on: October 06, 2018, 02:41:45 PM
Although it's from May, I can confirm it's, in fact, a scam project. Yi Xioalong = James Tran founder of Sky8 Shrimp Farm.

The picture is stolen from a magazine called 'edible Boston'. These guys never cease to amaze me, always find new ways and places to steal pictures from.

The use of hacked Whatsapp accounts and photos that have never been uploaded online is my top pick though.

3773  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: October 05, 2018, 10:18:54 PM
I've used to be a fan of the NBA but not anymore.  The league is filled with entitled crybabies that make  over 10mil per year.  They go out and buy rolls royce cars and mansions while their own city has homeless people.

Yay, we lost a valuable NBA fan Lol cry me a river. I didn't get why though ...because they're making a lot of money; they choose to spend the money the way they want, or because there are poor/homeless people in the world?

I'm genuinely interested to know who are those 'entitled crybabies' you are talking about. haha

I would also argue that NBA players from all pro sports in America are among those who give the most back to their communities.

3774  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: QRIPPLEX - serious red flags! on: October 05, 2018, 05:07:31 PM
~snip~

If you haven't checked this board lately, noobs are being exposed on a daily basis, so many of them thought. To answer your question directly,
I don't think this kind of copy/pasting and fake teams make any money out of it, which doesn't necessarily mean they won't if they don't get caught, simply trying their luck.

The ones who profit a lot are masternode scams:

I'm not surprised to see these morons get fake identities on their shitty website. Even though it's pointless as they have already sold pre-mined coins.

That's the beauty of it, the masternode scams, it's easy to setup up and you don't need much time, i would say less than 3 weeks to sell a few masternodes worth 2-10 BTC. AND BE GONE lol

Compared to regular scam ICOs, it's much more profitable, getting idiots on self-moderated discord channels to buy these masternodes ain't no problem for them.

One thing that helps is DT giving them neg trust. marlboroza and suchmoon deserve a lot of credit because they are most active in helping us amateur detectives Cool bring these clowns down. What happens after they get tagged is either they delete their Ann or bounty, which also prevents hundreds of spam/shitposts being made.

It's a  free token anyways
You can shove it up your ass that free token, nobody needs it.

I don't think they are shady anymore
Oh, I totally agree, they were never shady or suspicious in the first place because there is no doubt people behind Sotion and Qripplex are scammers.

they made the corrections and announced it on

You lazy shumcks, you just corrected the things I mentioned, your entire WP is still copied from your previous scam attempt.

Next thing you announce on Twitter, please be it that you're retiring from that shit because you're not good at it.
3777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: October 04, 2018, 11:52:24 PM
Kyrie just said that next year he plans to re-sign with Celtics. Boston nation must be ecstatic now.

I mean it's not 100%, done deal, the season is long and a lot of things can change but still...my condolences to Knicks fans.  Cheesy

3778  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Defination of some short Abbreviations used on forum. Everyone should know; on: October 04, 2018, 08:23:28 PM
A few very well known ones I haven't seen anybody mention here. Though some of them are acronyms but still commonly used in forums.

BTFD = Buy the fucking dip

REKT = from wrecked, or completely destroyed

WHALE = Somebody with a lot of crypto, not necessarily though, a very rich person

SATS = short for Satoshis

By the way, there is a little typo in the very first word - Defination  Cool

3779  Other / Meta / Re: Your Account got Banned ? Look first here ! on: October 04, 2018, 10:29:53 AM
  • Posting Mailware Links

Malware through the mail Grin joking, you can fix the typo.

Similarly, as others have already suggested, the best option would be adding new subsections on "Why I get banned" and "Where does merit grow"?.  Huh

Newbies will never learn how to use the search engine though ...

3780  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: October 03, 2018, 08:32:30 PM
Anyways, probably by the end of the season we're going to see one young guns of the lakers going to another team lol. Ingram? Kuzma? I seriously think it's not going to be the same team by the end of regular season.

I don't think they'll make any changes this year. Bron said that this year's success would not be measured by winning the championship.

Well, if they have a chance to acquire a major player, shooting the dark: AD or Dame, I'd probably consider trading for them. Otherwise, it's pointless, they've got the cap space to sign a max player next summer. There's no need to rush things. And from what I'm seeing so far in the two preseason games, without overreacting, I like the young guys, don't forget Lonzo.  Wink

PS. Kuzma is going to get his hands full playing the 5  Grin
