3761  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 0.999 BTC for 180GH/s on: March 10, 2014, 09:10:24 PM
However we desperately need a 1 TH+ box soon, as the difficulty is at a point where it becomes unmanageable for the average retail miner to keep 10+ ants running in their house.  Hope bitmain has something in the works.

You wont have to wait long for the S2!

Won't have to wait long like BFL or more like this month?

Any price estimations?

3762  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcement: Bitmain launches AntMiner solution, 0.68 J/GH on chip on: March 10, 2014, 08:49:26 PM
U2 is 13.0 BTC = $8645.80 ... If you are in the UK that would be 20% VAT ( $1729.16) -- You will pay the sale tax of your country... Limited companies can claim for the VAT but non-business purchase will need to include VAT.
Hi, i'm from the Netherlands and the vat is in our country 21%, so this will be added at the customs.
And what are the shipping charges?

If I had an company, i could claim the vat, if i'm not reselling them. But when reselling, i must ad the vad at the sell price too.

Tip! As an company you could buy  1 or 2 antminer S2(new) as inventory for your company as computer related products, like your pc or laptop, that you use to run your business, you should ask your bookkeeper, how this works.

S2 is not out yet.

How long does it take to receive an order in Europe?

About 3 days, depending on your location.
3764  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcement: Bitmain launches AntMiner solution, 0.68 J/GH on chip on: March 10, 2014, 03:05:21 PM
Hi, i like to know, what the shipment costs, and the import charges are or would be for the lot of 500pcs antminer U2, to the EU.

I cannot answer your question but do keep in mind that 500pcs is a large quantity so you might be asked to present a company VAT number.

Step one: Find Chuck Norris
Step two: Get Chuck Norris to guess private keys on first try

Profit.

I already asked him and he said he won't do it.
When I asked why he said: Because I am Satoshi!!!!!

thanks bitcointalk Let be here these scammers !

Did you even read the notice from the board moderators?

It is not their fault if you cannot make the right decision.
It is your money so it is your responsibility not to allow someone to walk away with it.
3767  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: March 10, 2014, 10:31:50 AM
Nick, you will need to SSH on your miner and manually disable NTP.

Download Putty to do this.

Better yet, if anyone knows the journalist who bought him lunch, try to get in contact with him as a way form a line of trust direct to Dorian. Let him know the people from "bitcom" are mad about the way he has been abused by newsweek and want to help Smiley
The AP reporter I quoted is Ryan Nakashima, the one who interviewed Mr. Nakamoto over sushi.

Dunno how to contact him, the AP is colossal, but he might be able to publicize this correctly. His article is full of subtle jabs at Newsweek, and his persuasive ability really shines in the selection and order of his quotations.

What if some mediocre journalist looking for a "scoop" inflicted this on you?

Image source to mitigate conspiracy theories: CNN, reporters tail private citizen in illegal car chase, harass him all day

I DARE YOU!!!

to turn this picture into Neo (from Matrix) saying no to bullets (at the end of the first part)....

I can do it myself but I don't have the time to do it now.

Only instead of stopping bullets, have him stopping dollar bills or something... Wink

Go for broke!

Turn DELUCA into DRACULA.

The yellow irises into red opium flowers as seen on some Photobucket page.

The peace symbol tie-dyed shirt needs to be altered.

Dorian is donning a model steam engine train motif belt buckle.

The mail truck is an Overstock.com delivery van.

Place an alpaca in the bushes, or have it grazing on the lawn.

I just noticed something about this image, as well as the others. Why are there so many Japanese/Asian reporters?

Because he is the Asian MC Hammer... Can't touch this.....

What is the best pool right now for someone new coming out of the gate?

eligius.st

Even though I am currently on BTCGuild I am also considering moving my miners to eligius as BTCGuild has increased their hashrate and my total shares has dropped.

So yeah, at the time eligius is your best bet.
3771  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: **Breaking news** Satoshi Nakamotos identity revealed on: March 09, 2014, 08:28:29 PM
Just in case Satoshi = Dorian, I changed my address for donations to the more Dorian simpathetic "1train".  Grin

And you are accepting donations for who exactly? You or Dorian?

3772  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [In stock]The plan for selling and hosting 1 T Dragon miner in china on: March 09, 2014, 05:22:47 PM
This seller is scam? Anyone buy?

bobsag3 got a miner from them I think.

Ask him.

Not from him directly, but I have 4 on order with escrow thru him.

Fair enough, I just know that you have your hands on these babies  Grin

Are they good?

Worth the investment?

Im happy with the one I got 3 weeks ago, no problems yet.

Thanks for the reply.
Worth looking into  Wink

3774  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Open] Hosted Antminer Groupbuy Round 2 on: March 09, 2014, 04:14:25 PM
This device will never pay off.

It costs 1.11 atm, and it will mine 0.98 in three months (estimated). Then it is obsolete (power costs higher than revenue).

It will not pay off considering the price of BTC will stay the same.

Will it?

EDIT: Also your calculations are wrong: http://btcinvest.net/en/bitcoin-mining-profit-calculator.php?diff=2621404453&dcosts=650&diff_mincrease=30&blpbtc=25&dhsmhs=180000&diff_mincreasedecrease=3&btcusd=640&dpowcon=360&btcusd_mincrease=1&pcost=0.15&calcweeks=32&dleadtime=0&action=calc

So mine for a month or 2 and sell the ants on ebay in 2 months you will prob get close to 75% roi and whatever you sell them for with be the rest plus probably a decent profit .

Why do people assume miners are 100% worthless when they are no longer profitable?  Keep in mind that CUBES are selling on ebay for almost $300 right now and in most areas those things start loosing money the second you plug them in.

I think you got me wrong.
I am saying that the Ants ARE going to break even and be a little bit profitable.
That is judging by my experience and I only mine with Ants.

The price dropped right after I ordered  Undecided

I know..I should wait until this morning instead of order yesterday night..oh well..

It is OK, I got another coupon  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

BITMAIN,

Could you produce an official word on AntMiner S2 availability and specifications? It's evident that you are already doing test-runs in your Data Center(s) for getting this product out to the market.

How about 540GH at 1080w for only 3BTC?
And shipped within 48 hours!

ya know .. you would rather i dont  say that site is hosting malware and have someone find out the hard way ?
i could have just said nothing .. .

and i believe he doesnt have anything to do with the site... it may be just where he gets them from.

You should know that most legit Chinese sellers here are actually agents.

But thanks for giving a heads up for the malware  Wink

[Mar 9,2014]
GOOD NEWS TODAY
AVALON 200G LATEST PRICE IS $550(0.9BTC).----only fifty units left

OK, prove it by having 10 miners mining at the address in my signature for 10 minutes using eligius.

Then post the eligius stats page for the address here.

Thank you  Wink

How many miners do you want to buy? Smiley

Well, for 0.9BTC @ 900w none.
I can get an Ant for that and overclock it to 200GH.

If it was much cheaper I would seriously consider, but I am having problems with electric bills as it is by just using Ants.

You may consider hosting it after you buy.
if you can do mass purchasing, the cost may be down.

Worth considering, but not for a 200GH miner.
Maybe for a 1TH or 2TH, but right now the budget is tight as I have invested in some things.
But I will look into it.
3779  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [In stock]The plan for selling and hosting 1 T Dragon miner in china on: March 09, 2014, 02:35:03 PM
i got one too.. but that site is what got me ..

So you ordered one and it was delivered to you and working as it says it is?
So why be suspicious?

3780  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Can't Find Antminer S1 On Local Network on: March 09, 2014, 02:33:22 PM
I managed to get it mining via wifi, even though there is no antenna attached. The S1 is within 2' of the router. I can't figure out the WAN settings still for using an ethernet cable, but at least it's partially working.

All my Ants mine wireless.
To be honest I haven't managed to get them to mine through LAN but I don't care, the router is next to them  Grin
