3762  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Newbies]Learning will not make you spam[for newbies] on: June 13, 2021, 08:21:06 PM
Newbies may not know that learning will help them not to spam, copy and paste nor plagiarize.
Of course, adequate knowledge on any subject or discussion will enable a person to communicate effortlessly, with no need to plagiarize or steal what others have said previously about that subject, this is applicable not just on the forum, but even in other practical events in real life, for example, with sufficient knowledge, a student would be able to write exams without any external help or plagiarism, thus when a user learns all there is to about Bitcoin and how it operates, communicating on Bitcointalk becomes effortless, and by extension it no longer becomes possible for that user to spam or plagiarise.

Having said that, reading/studying what others have said isn't bad cause that's how people build their knowledge, but just as is done when one is writing a project, you carry out research and you bring in what others have said on that particular topic as you write, but without forgetting to acknowledge them in your "works cited", users should also never forget to add links to the source of their knowledge when their posts isn't originally theirs, and also when parts of their posts was gotten from a different source.
3763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: June 13, 2021, 03:51:37 PM
They seems to have settled for a 0-1 defeat and will be happy if England doesn't score another goal. Now this match looks boring. Can we talk about the next match (Austria vs North Macedonia)?  Grin We also have the Netherlands vs Ukraine match later today, which maybe another one sided affair. Once again, the only question is regarding Netherlands's winning margin.
The one goal was all that England needed and now they have their three points, as a team you can't play in an exciting way all the time, but in those days you don't play so well, you ought to try to win, be it by a slender margin or whatever, and that's what England did today. I'm pretty sure they'll still work on themselves and prepare better for the next game.

Netherlands should win comfortably, but in football anything is possible, and prolly Ukraine can present them with an upset, Netherlands haven't been too good in recent tournaments, but they can make this particular one different and go pretty far.
3764  Economy / Speculation / Re: Current Price action looks A LOT like the '18/'19 bear market bottom on: June 13, 2021, 10:46:53 AM
The tl;dr prediction from this analysis (which matches up with my broader market thesis for the next decade) is I expect we are bottoming now and the next half year will be bottom, break out, and build back to ATH. Then see new ATHs in early 2022 or perhaps before end of year if positive news/sentiment can overpower FUD a bit more quickly.
You could prolly be correct, the thing is just how low do you think the price will get to, cause the present price of $36k is pretty high to be called a bottom phase imo, I believe Bitcoin will stay around this price for quite some time, though I don't expect it to go lower than that. And mind you that with predictions from the halving of last year, users actually expected the bull run in the later/end part of this year (2021), but it instead started from late last year, thus, the end of this year could prolly still present a new ATH for Bitcoin.
3765  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: June 13, 2021, 09:47:56 AM
Joao Cancelo has been found positive for Covid and now Portugual is in trouble with the mass testing.

Cancello will skip all the group stages and maybe more depend on how severe is his Covid.
They are not only in trouble cause other players could have contacted the virus from Cancelo, but losing Joao for the entire group stage is indeed a big loss for Portugal, Cancelo had a good season with Manchester City, and was looking to build on that and shine in the EURO tournament, but it is what it is, and I really feel sorry for him, and wish him and Eriksen quick recovery.
A great result for Finland.  Denmark was unlucky. I think they couldn't concentrate on the game after Eriksen. The penalty kick was too weak. A Denmark in a good day can beat any team in the group.
Of course the events of yesterday is going to have a negative psychological effect on the players, though it can also work in their favor cause if Eriksen recovers quickly, though I doubt he'll be able to play in the tournament again, especially for precautionary reasons, then the players can keep trying to win games for him.
3766  Economy / Economics / Re: Are you investing in crypto currency alone? on: June 13, 2021, 12:10:26 AM
With many nations of the world still recovering from the economic realities caused by the pandemic, how will you describe the economic situation in your country at the moment?
The situation in my country is not too different from others, and it's that the economy is struggling and in a pretty bad shape, we are already experiencing Inflation as the prices of commodities have all gone up, likewise the cost of living. Quite a lot of us are lucky to know and have invested in Bitcoin pre pandemic, thus it's somewhat easier for us to continue accumulating coins.

Having said that, most people who prolly want to invest in Bitcoin or start up a business etc, but are without the necessary capital are unable to do so, institutional investors have been all over the network since the start of the pandemic, and it's only possible for them cause they have huge amount of money, but for the average Joe, it becomes somewhat impossible to talk about investments when they are yet to handle their daily basis needs.
3767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When will be bearish market over?? on: June 12, 2021, 11:40:25 PM
So can any told me his opinion about this situation of market. Because I am tired of this😥😥
The thing is, you can't get tired of seeing the market rise and fall as long as you stay in the network, it is what it is, and you're expected to have carried out your research on the history of the price movements of the coins you're hodling, so that price corrections and bear markets wouldn't cause you severe panic.

Having said that, don't look for the opinion of others on the situation of the market, do you own research and come to your conclusions, cause after all, it's still more or less speculations.
3768  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can El Salvador's adoption of Bitcoin as legal currency increase interest in Sat on: June 12, 2021, 08:20:18 PM
Because of this, owning a Bitcoin must seem unfathomable to a vast majority of people living there so do you think this will lead to more people talking about Satoshis?
Of course, this news will increase the interest of citizens of El Savador in Bitcoin, but the thing is, if they continue to struggle economically, then people will prolly not be able to make enough money to buy Bitcoin. El Savador is not really that much of a big country, and thus this news is prolly not a big one, but it is definitely a step forward for Bitcoin in terms of adoption. I hope the move by El savador to legalize BTC yields fruitful results so others can follow in their footsteps.
3769  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I think Bitcoin is great as an asset and not as a Currency. on: June 12, 2021, 06:22:34 PM
And to be honest I don’t like the concept of HODLING because it is a CRYPTOCURRENCY not a CRYPTOASSET, assets are meant to be hold and not currencies, Do you store use no right you spend them on things you love and buy it and that makes a country’s economy stable because their currency is trading each and every day, use, yen, euro, etc are regularly circulating and no on is holding it.
Bitcoin isn't just exclusively a currency, and mind you that it's yet to get to the level of mainstream adoption that'll mean it can be used as a currency like the USD, Yuan, Euro etc, thus for now it can be used as either a currency, an asset or whatever anyone wishes to do with it (except fraud). Bitcoin is and will never be like the traditional Fiat that's tied to the economy, Bitcoin is decentralized, with the users "being their own bank", and mind you that there are quite a lot of people who use Bitcoin to buy things every now and then.
3770  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 12, 2021, 03:57:53 PM
Sevilla have offered Spain centre-back Sergio Ramos, 35, a five-year deal. Ramos is out of contract at Real Madrid this summer. Does that mean Ramos stays in Spain and will soon play against his former club?
I'd be quite surprised if Ramos leaves Madrid and joins Sevilla, if you ask me I think Ramos still has quite a lot to offer and even if he's no longer wanted by Real, then I think he can prolly be given one or two years at a bigger club, I don't think Ramos will move to Sevilla and in my opinion if he's to switch teams, then he'll switch leagues, it would actually be interesting to see Ramos play in the EPL.
Poland striker Robert Lewandowski, is open to leaving Bayern Munich. If that really happens, it will be an irreparable loss for Bayern.
I don't know how true this news is as I don't see any reason why Lewandowski will want to leave Bayern, except if he wants to try out a different challenge, prolly in a different league, if he eventually leaves Bayern Munich, it'll be almost impossible to replace him.
3771  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How did those who bought SHIB (Shiba Inu Coin) at five zeros in the early days d on: June 12, 2021, 01:13:07 PM
Shib is not at the price you posted in the OP, but nonetheless, it had quite some hype few weeks back, the thing is basically that if you want to make profits from this sort of "lottery" coins, you need to discover/purchase them early enough and then sell them when they pump, they are not long term coins, but rather pump and dump, and if you don't sell them when you have earned yourself some ROI, then they could prolly dump on you.

Having said that, buying such shitcoins when they have just pumped is a risk, more often than not, they would not pump any further, but rather spiral-down beyond ones imagination, if you aren't lucky to get them when they are new and cheap, then don't buy them when there is hype surrounding it.
3772  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too blind to see on: June 12, 2021, 12:53:24 PM
I don't think investors are 'blind' to the current market situation, the thing is just that different investors do not analyse the market from the same point, whilst you may think that the bull run has come to an abrupt end, some other investor somewhere could think the exact opposite, believing this is just a mere correction time and that the price will start to appreciate again, sooner rather than later.

Having said that, every decision (to hold or to sell) taken on your coins must be as a result of research, I know quite a lot of people like to incite fear so others can sell and the price drops, thus creating an avenue for the manipulators to make money, thus users who believe the bull run is up should sell their stash without causing FUD.
3773  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 11, 2021, 08:44:40 PM
I feel like Sancho to United and Haaland to Chelsea could likely be happening and a shock transfer move by Ronaldo to United.  Maybe at least I’m hoping to see it.  Lol.  So I guess, or hope, City has no choice but to try and get Messi then and let him play the false 9 role?
If all of this deals are successful, then that'll mean taking football to England, but I'm pretty sure quite a lot of this deals wouldn't happen for many reasons, I don't see any reason why United should be keen on bringing Ronaldo back to Old Trafford, if it were a couple of seasons back, then it could have made more sense, United imo, should be seeking younger and fresher players that'll be in the club for a longer period and help them win trophies for many years to come.

Sancho to United looks possible, but I'm not so sure Chelsea will succeed with the Haaland deal, except they are willing to spend astronomically on him, and Messi to City doesn't look like a possibility, I think if it didn't happen last season when it looked like City were close to signing him, then it prolly won't happen again.
3774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 11, 2021, 07:23:15 AM
It's funny how other big teams are playing the higher salary card to take away potential signings of Barca. Guess that's how transfer things are done.
That's why I've said a couple of times already that I think Barcelona's problem stems from their hierarchy and not the manager or even the players, if Barca can't close up minor deals such as this, then what's the tendency that they'll do so when it comes to bigger deals and bigger players, I don't really know what's going on at the top of the club atm, but one thing is for sure, it's damaging the club and it's performances on the pitch.

If next season is bad for Barcelona, then they could gradually be falling from the top, it's up to their management to secure very good players that the coach would work with, right now, Barca's squad isn't too special to win the CL again, they need reinforcements.
3775  Economy / Economics / Re: Trump regrets not banning twitter as he hails Nigerian government for doing so on: June 10, 2021, 10:30:25 PM
It's an entirely funny situation in Nigeria, for a third world country still struggling to cope with basic amenities like electricity and good roads, banning Tweeter cause their president's tweet (which of course violated one of tweeters rules) was deleted is just unbelievable, and an indication that their government doesn't know where their problem really lies.

Nigeria is a country struggling economically, they are in a state of inflation and a high rate of unemployment, so many of it's citizens use Tweeter as their source of livelihood, and they promote/engage in one business or the other on the social platform, thus the government just basically cut off quite a lot of people's income, without providing anything reasonable for them to do. I'm personally not surprised with Donald Trump's comments, he made even worse statements when he was president, but even he couldn't go as far as banning Tweeter in the U.S.A.
3776  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid-19 Virus Research Criminal Found - Anthony Fauci on: June 10, 2021, 10:05:19 PM
The thing is, since the pandemic "shed it's milk teeth", there have been quite a lot of theories as to how the virus was created as well as different accusations directed especially at the Chinese government, and most of all this accusations actually yielded nothing as there was insufficient proof to support such claims, and that's or that'll be the same case with this "research" about Anthony Fauci/Bill Gates.

Even if it makes sense to you, and the dots prolly connects pretty well in your opinion, it wouldn't for quite a lot of people and it'll basically just be pushed aside as mere gibberish. If you ask me, I'd say they virus is already living with us, and I'd exhaust more energy in controlling it that anything else, if the distribution of vaccines around the world can be much more effective, thus controlling the pandemic, then afterwards other resources can be channeled to it's cause.
3777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 09, 2021, 08:05:23 PM
Tottenham are showing interest in acquiring Marcus Thuram (Striker) from Monchengladbach and that makes Kane transfer this summer transfer window more likely to happen. If not this window then maybe next but he is going for sure.
I think with this news, it can be said that Spurs are already preparing for life without their marksman Harry Kane, I don't think Spurs can hold on to him for too long anymore, Kane definitely needs a team that can win trophies as he is almost getting to his peak, but it is what it is and if he's going to leave the team, then he must be replaced, Thuram isn't a bad option, but they'll add more attackers to their team when they're certain Harry is leaving.
3778  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a tool for enlightenment on: June 06, 2021, 01:28:36 PM
So my wife and I decided to get into Bitcoin back in April; we bought our first satoshis right around the ATH only to see the price immediately plummet.
For newcomer investors who think Bitcoin to be a "get rich quick scheme", this sort of scenario is going to be very difficult for them to take/swallow, they will sell their coins immediately the plunge starts, you prolly must have done your research thoroughly on Bitcoin and it's price movements, I'm pretty sure you didn't invest more than you can afford to lose, thus hodling your coins should not affect your everyday wellbeing in real life.
3779  Other / Meta / Re: What Would Be Your Reason to Leave Bitcointalk? on: June 06, 2021, 12:13:48 PM
I was introduced by friend to join this forum and that friend till date is still in forum and have not quit. He has made a lot of money and investment too through this forum. For this reason I make it promised to remain and not to quit for any reason.
Your decision to remain or leave the forum should not be dependent on another user, notwithstanding if it's the user who introduced or even educated you about the forum, you should have your own purpose, goal and reason for being on the forum, which the failure to achieve that could then make you say goodbye for good to bitcointalk forum. If you're on this forum only cause your friend is still here, does that mean you'll leave whenever he leaves, just does not make sense imo.
My reason to leave the forum most likely would be if The forum isn't spicy anymore where no scams occurs, no one news about the scams and their ways of scamming xD
I know there'll definitely be scams on the Bitcoin network/forum, but it does not make the forum spicy, neither is the constant highlighting of scams too good for the network and it's newcomers, but the modus operandi of scammers being made popular on the forum is one reason why people are here and could be a reason to leave if eventually in the future there's a dearth of such information.
3780  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 06, 2021, 11:46:56 AM
I don't know if Aguero is enough to make Barcelona a strong squad again. Right now they are pretty weak compared to what they used to be. I hope they can announce another good one. Not to forget that Aguero was injured a whole lot.
I don't think he is, Imo, Sergio is already way past his best, and considering his age, he'll play for only two or three seasons at most in Barcelona, and they need more than that, they need young players that'll represent their colors for a longer period of time, they need replacements for their ageing squad, Kun is good for the experience, but he's only a short term option, Barcelona need to buy more players if they want to start competing again.
